
The 21-year-old, 5 feet 9 inches tall beauty from Kerala, is all confident about her victory and that she will be able to carry forward the legacy of other glamour queens like Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999) and Priyanka Chopra (2000).
"I am very much confident about my victory. Femina Miss India World is not merely a crown of joy for me. With the crown, the responsibility of upholding the name of the country has also fallen on my shoulders," she said in a statement.
Asked about her preparations for the pageant on December 11, Parvathy said, "Preparations have started ever since I won the Femina Miss India contest in April this year. Apart from just concentrating on my appearance, I am trying to be a stronger person to face the contest."
Even at the Pantaloons Femina Miss India contest this year, she wowed the panel of judges who presented her with titles such as Miss Photogenic, Miss Personality and Miss Beautiful Hair.
Born on 13th July, this Cancerian charmer's "never say die" attitude has helped her conquer one beauty pageant after another be it the Navy Queen contest held in connection with the annual Navy Ball or Femina Miss India, South held in Hyderabad last year.
When asked about whom she would love to be cast opposite, she confesses to having a crush on Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan and that "I'd love to be paired opposite them. They are truly lovable."
A student of English literature from Mithibai College, Mumbai, Parvathy loves to read. Her picture-perfect figure isn't the work of hours spent at the gym but a product of pursuing sports such as basketball and badminton. She is also trained in Indian classical dance.
