Kareena's pelvic thrust, Sonakshi's Kathakali moves steal Salman's thunder in Dabangg 2

It seems that female Bollywood actors are striving hard nowadays to experiment with something new in their every film. In the much-talked about upcoming movie "Dabangg 2" of Salman Khan, Sonakshi Sinha recently challenged herself with some Kathakali steps on the set of the movie.

Kareena Kapoor too canned an item number for "Dabangg 2" and said it was great fun shooting for the song as she tried something new for it.

Sonakshi, who matched tough dance steps with ace choreographer Prabhu Deva in "Oh My God!", tried some steps of the classical dance form while shooting for the song "Dagabaaz re" from the movie.

"There is a sequence in the song where there are Kathakali dancers and when Sonakshi came to know about this, she got really excited! She is an actor who loves learning new things and, in fact, has even learnt some Kathakali and requested the dancers to teach her a few more steps," said a source.

Kareena, who who did item number "Halkat jawani" in her film "Heroine", said: "It was great fun. I loved the song... for the first time I have done a pelvic thrust. I have never done that before and Farah Khan has shot it amazingly. I am looking forward to it because it's a fun song. I hope people love it."

Designer Manish Malhotra has styled Kareena's costumes for the item song and Farah has choreographed her moves.

There were reports that her sister Karisma was on the sets while she was giving shots for the song and Kareena said: "She came to meet Salman, Arbaaz, Malaika and all and that's it. She was not there to give any takes."

In "Dabangg", Malaika featured in the item song "Munni badnaam".

"Dabangg 2", also starring Sonakshi Sinha and Prakash Raj, is slated for release Dec 21.

Arbaaz Khan is making his directorial debut with "Dabangg 2", which stars his big brother Salman in the lead role. Sonakshi plays his wife.

Kareena Kapoor's 'Fevicol Se' look in Salman Khan's 'Dabangg 2 is nothing new

Mumbai: After becoming Mrs Nawab, Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor's first assignment is an Item Number from Salman Khan's most awaited sequel 'Dabangg 2'. The song is called 'Fevicol Se' and her first look picture has been released by the PR Company.

As far as the 'Picture Look' of the song is concerned, It has a mix of Katrina Kaif’s ‘Chikni Chameli’, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s ‘Kajra Re’ and Kareena's own ‘Halkat Jawaani. Infact it looks very much on the lines of 'Halkat Jawani'. This is again a Manish Malhotra creation and to complement her choli and ghagra outfit, her hair will be worn open and she has a gajra on her right-hand wrist. She’s also seen wearing a nose pin in a Sonakshi Sinha style. The actress will be performing this raunchy number alongside leading man Salman Khan. Though we already have given you this news about Salman Khan instructing choreographer Farah Khan to keep the raunchy movements down because Kareena is now married and Salman respects married women.

According to the Song's first look, It looks very ordinary and we have already seen Kareena Kapoor in the same look earlier in 'Halkat Jawani' so there's nothing new in this one to go crazy about.

Kareena Kapoor inspired by Karisma in Dabangg 2?

Way back in 1994, Karisma Kapoor set temperatures soaring with her sultry moves in a red kurta and lungi in Raja Babu’s hit song, Sarkai Lo Khatiya Jada Lage. Eighteen years later, sister Kareena will repeat the moves with Salman Khan in Dabangg 2. Although the filmmakers are tightlipped about the number, we’ve found out that in her item song, ‘Fevicol’, Bebo is likely to appear in a lungi dress similar to what Lolo (Karisma) wore.

“Kareena will be wearing a similar dress, but this time it will be in black,” says an insider close to Bebo. When the idea first came up, Bebo was game for it since she is close to Karisma and adores her sense of style.

“Kareena and her designer friend Manish Malhotra brainstormed and came up with the final dress design. Both Bebo and Karisma are excited about it. Besides the colour, the only other major difference would be the length.

Bebo, unlike Karisma, won’t be wearing that long a lungi. It has been modified to suit today’s times,” adds the insider. Kareena, who married Saif Ali Khan recently, remained unavailable for a comment. Manish too couldn’t be reached. But when contacted, Bebo’s spokesperson said: “At this point, we can’t divulge any details (about the song).”

As for the song, Kareena has already started rehearsing for it at Mehboob Studio in Bandra with choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan and her team. “The song will be shot from November 5 onwards with Salman Khan,” adds the insider.

After doing Halkat Jawani in Heroine, newlywed Kareena Kapoor Khan is all set to do an item in Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2. The song is titled Fevicol. “She is back in Mumbai and Dabangg 2’s item song will be her first work after the wedding celebrations. She is trying to keep fit,” a source had told HT.

Malaika Arora to make appearance in Dabangg 2 item song: She danced in Munni Badnaam Hui alongside Chulbul Pandey in Dabangg (2010). And Malaika Arora-Khan’s item number went on to become a chartbuster. Now, she is back in the sequel with the song, Pandeyji Seeti Mare. Even though Malaika and her actor-director hubby Arbaaz Khan are tightlipped about it

Arjun Kapoor has a crush on Kareena Kapoor

Arjun said in an interview: “Kareena Kapoor! I have a huge crush on her and will literally give my right arm to work with her! I really, really want to work with her!”
It's confession time for Arjun Kapoor. The actor reveals he has a huge crush on actress Kareena Kapoor and would do anything to grab a chance to work with her.

The actor, who made a successful debut with Ishaqzaade, made the candid confession during UTV Stars' Live My Life 2 show, which lets a lucky fan be in the shoes of his or her favourite Bollywood celebrity for a day.

Asked by his fan Amulya, as to who would he like to work with from the industry, Arjun said: "Kareena Kapoor! I have a huge crush on her and will literally give my right arm to work with her! I really, really want to work with her!"

The episode featuring Arjun will be aired Sunday.

In the meantime, Arjun has projects Gunday and Aurangzeb in his kitty.

Make-up artist picks Kareena Kapoor over Madhuri Dixit?

Apparently, the Bollywood make-up artist chose Kareena Kapoor over Madhuri Dixit for a make-up session before an awards gala.

It was all about who would look like a million bucks. When it comes to putting their best face forward for the red carpet and the flashbulbs, actresses leave nothing behind. They demand and obtain what they want in the one-upmanship of the looks department.

Kareena Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit were both keen to have Bollywood make-up artist Mickey Contractor apply his deft strokes for the People's Choice Awards. The event was held on Saturday night at Film City. But Mickey could oblige only one and it was Saif Ali Khan's Begum who managed to have Mickey do her make-up.

Says an onlooker, "Mickey was heard talking about his dilemma in Gujarati about choosing Kareena over Madhuri. At events he prefers to do the make-up of only one actress. He is not keen to multi-task."

Adds the onlooker, "Everyone is aware of frayed nerves before a big event. Costumes and make up is one region where no one wants to rub any actress off. It often leads to hushed whispers that do the rounds of vanity vans."

Madhuri had recorded her dance performance a day earlier -- on Friday for the awards show. Mickey had done her make up for her act. So the actress assumed that he would also apply his magic tools on the following day as well for the red carpet and awards gala.

But as the onlooker states, "Madhuri was taken aback when she was told that Mickey would be doing Kareena's make up on the big day. She kept telling him that he could do hers as well as Kareena's make-up. But he preferred to stick to the newlywed Bebo."

He was apparently overheard saying that as Kareena had told him in advance that she wanted him on the awards day, it was a first come-first serve situation. While on the other hand Madhuri felt that as he had done his make up for her performacce a day earlier, he would do it for the main event as well. Mads had apparently fetched a lot of compliments for her make up on that day and wanted to do a repeat the next day as well. But Bebo certainly spoilt her flawless act on the red carpet.

Kareena Kapoor agitates Priyanka Chopra?

There are no points for guessing that two of the contemporary actresses in Bollywood- Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor- don't really get along well. Latest buzz doing rounds is that preferential treatment given to Bebo at a recent awards ceremony miffed Pee Cee.

"Priyanka, who was supposed to dance to Yash Chopra's songs, had been practising hard since the afternoon. She had been sweating it out on the floor when, closer to the show time she noticed Kareena sailing in. This was her first public appearance post wedding, and Bebo simply breezed in and out without putting in even as much as a fraction of the effort or time that Priyanka had for the show. This irked PeeCee no end," an eye witness told Mumbai Mirror.

"She threw a fit behind closed doors, upset with the organisers with their preferential treatment. And though she was professional enough to go through the rest of the evening, she was visibly agitated. Her argument was, why would a star of her stature be expected to go through the grind of rehearsals when her contemporary is allowed to breeze in and out," the tabloid quoted another source as saying.

Bebo-PC war
Bebo had commented about Priyanka Chopra's accent on Karan Johar's chat show Koffee With Karan saying: "I wonder where Priyanka got her accent from?" Priyanka had responded saying: "I want to tell Kareena that I got my accent from the same place where her boyfriend got his," referring to Saif and her education overseas.

PC had also said, "I don't think people take Kareena too seriously." When she was asked what she would steal from computers of Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid, Kareena and others, Priyanka giggled and asked, "Does Kareena have a computer in the first place?"

Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra are my seniors: Katrina Kaif

Mumbai: Katrina Kaif today is no longer just a pretty face. She has proved her acting calibre in Rajneeti and now, Ek Tha Tiger. With ETT crossing the 100 crore mark at the Box Office, Kat is now one of the most bankable stars in the industry. But, when compared with her contemporaries like Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra, Katrina feels that they are way too ahead of her.

Katrina Kaif has so far acted in male oriented movies, where the heroine's role comes second after the male lead. But, her contemporaries like Kareena, Priyanka and Vidya Balan, have already made a stable position in the industry by choosing women oriented scripts. Talking to a leading website about the same, Katrina said, "Kareena and Priyanka are senior to me. They are way ahead of me."

She further said that if a script excites her, she agrees to the deal. Talking about the 100 crore craze in the recent times, Katrina said, " I am happy to see the business of cinema flourishing, films minting money. Yes, hits are important but somewhere your work has to be liked also."

Watch Halkat Jawani: Kareena sizzles in Heroine item song

The makers of Heroine have released the much-awaited item song from the film on Twitter.

Directed by Madhur Bhandarakar, the film starring Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal is creating buzz ever since the project was announced last year at Cannes festival.

The raunchy number was released last evening on Twitter, just a few hours after UTV Motion Pictures, the producers, tweeted exclusive stills of Kareena Kapoor from the film.

The song, choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, has been sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and composed by brothers Salim-Sulaiman.

The movie will release on September 21, which is also Kareena's birthday, and co-stars Arjun Rampal, Randeep Hooda and Divya Dutta.

In the song, Kareena Kapoor is showing off her curves in a colourful ghagra choli and a Manish Malhotra sari.

Heroine, the story of the rise and fall of an actress, is expected to be huge for Kareena's career and might just be what Dirty Picture was for Vidya Balan.

Kareena Kapoor's 'Halkat Jawani' saree to be auctioned

Mumbai: Ever since Kareena Kapoor featured in her bright pink saree and dark blue blouse in her item song 'Halkat Jawaani' in Madhur Bhandarkar’s upcoming film, her costume became the talk of town. And now buzz is that the same ensemble is being auctioned for a cause.

Our source says, "The money will be donated to a charitable organisation, which Kareena is associated to." There is also news that the Manish Malhotra-designed costume managed to create quite a buzz at the recently concluded Mumbai fashion week.

Same-same?
In the meanwhile, Urmila Matondkar has also worn a similar nine-yard saree and blouse in her first ever Marathi item number titled 'Yana Yana' in 'Hridaynath'. Considering that both the actresses are quite close to designer Manish Malhotra, it comes as no surprise that Urmi and Bebo should flaunt the almost-same ensembles.

Aamir, Kareena, Rani not to be seen together in TALAASH

The special promotional music video which was shot recently for the much touted film TALAASH with Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji was actually Aamir's idea.

He came up with this music video idea for a very specific purpose. It turns out that the three stars in the entire length of the film TALAASH are not seen together in one frame at any point of time. The script of the film is such that the trio - Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor doesn't have the opportunity to share the screen space.

Aamir thought something should be done so that all the three actors can be seen together. Hence he came up with the idea of doing a music video where he along with Rani and Kareena would be shaking a leg together specially for the film.

Aamir thought the audiences would like to see all three of them together as this troika has never been seen together on the screen ever. TALAASH was the opportunity and a music video would be an entertaining way to make it possible.

TALAASH is the most awaited film of the year as it will see Aamir on screens after three years post 3 IDIOTS. Not only this but it also sees the comeback of the famous GHULAM pair, Aamir-Rani, which was a huge hit with the masses then. Similarly, Aamir-Kareena pairing in 3 IDIOTS sent waves of appreciation amongst masses.

Besides the pairing, TALAASH also marks the coming back of Aamir- Farhan- Ritesh trio of DIL CHAHTA HAI fame.

"Yes its true Aamir came up with the idea of shooting a music video with all three stars together and we all instantly agreed. It is a great idea of having them together. Aamir Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor dancing together in a music video is the recipe for total entertainment," a spokesperson from Excel Entertainment says.a

Amrita Singh ignores Kareena Kapoor

There's an unwritten rule in the industry. Uncomfortable situations involving personal or professional rivals are studiously avoided. However, Saturday evening turned out to be an exception; call it a goof up of sorts on the part of YRF Studios, which is otherwise quite well organised.

According to an eyewitness, Saif Ali Khan's ex-wife Amrita Singh walked into the studio and headed for her make up room on the ground floor. However, when she saw Saif's beau Kareena Kapoor's name on the door of the opposite makeup room, she left the area and went to a different location to avoid a sticky situation.

It is learnt that minutes later, a walkie-talkie message was conveyed to the team to have Amrita's makeup room shifted to another floor. Also, the plate on the door of her original makeup room, which read somewhat like: 'Amrita Singh look test for Aurangzeb' was removed.

Said an eyewitness, "Amrita went to the other floor and carried on with her work, and didn't give much importance to whatever happened."

When contacted, Amrita Singh confirmed her presence at YRF Studios on Saturday. However, she quipped, "I am not a newcomer to run away from such things. I have been here for 30 years and we are all professionals. I straight away went to the makeup room, which was assigned to me."

Minutes later, a YRF spokesperson called and said Amrita and Kareena's makeup rooms were always supposed to be on different floors.

Aurangzeb, a YRF production directed by Atul Sabharwal, stars Arjun Kapoor in a double role. A source close to YRF told, "Amrita is playing an important role in Aurangzeb."

Sanjay Leela Bhansali selects Deepika over Priyanka

Finally director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has found her heroine for his movie ‘Ram Leela’.  Deepika Padukone is the chosen one. In a recent interview an aide close to Sanjay said he wanted an A-list heroine to do his movie. He wanted an actress who was fair and unmarried to play the role of “Juliet” in the movie.

He had approached actress Katrina Kaif for the role but she was too busy with her schedule. Bebo is busy about planning the event to tie the knot with long time beau Saif Ali Khan. Deepika was approached after Kareena decided to disassociate herself from the movie.  The marriage which was supposed to be on October 16th has been delayed there after. This is the second time Deepika has beaten Kareena to get a role, the last being ‘Chennai Express’. In this movie she is cast opposite Shahrukh Khan.

The next person on the list was Priyanka Chopra. But apparently Sanjay wasn’t too keen in casting her in his movie and he turned to Deepika Padukone. Deepika was the only one with dates available for his magnum opus. It is being rumored that piggy chops lost to dippy because of her complexion.

Deepika adjusted her dates. She was supposed to be part of a movie under the joint production of Ekta Kapoor and Karan Johar. But the movie got delayed; hence she decided to do Bhansali’s film.

The story of ‘Ram Leela’ is said to be an adaption of Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’. Its cast also includes Ranveer Singh and Supriya Pathak. The detail of the story has not been revealed yet.  Sanjay Leela Bhansali is also producing the movie. As always the sets for the movie are going to be elegant.  The movie is said to be shot in the interior locations of Gujarat.

The costumes for the movie will be designed to reflect the traditions of Rajasthan and Gujarat. Sanjay has roped in Delhi based designer Anju Modi. Sabyasachi Mukherjee was first touted to be the costume designer. He was the costume designer for Bhansali’s film Black. But Sanjay this time tried to go for traditional ethnic wear. Anju Modi was perfect for that. She said that she was happy to be working with the iconic director and would be designing costumes for Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh. She was not aware at that time that Priyanka will not be a part of the movie.

Picture Gallery: Saif Ali Khan with blonde hair and new tattoo

Bollywood Actors Saif Ali Khan was lately spotted with his lady love Kareena Kapoor in Mumbai. Here is a glimpse of his latest look.
Apparently, Saif Ali Khan has dyed his hair for his home production 'Go Goa Gone'. He plays a Russian mafia in the film 'Go Goa Gone', who is on a zombie hunt. During a recent interview he said, "I've dyed my hair a disgusting blonde while my beard is black. I look like an idiot."

Kareena Kapoor spotted in Mumbai. It seems 'Heroine' is taking a toll on her health, she looks really tired.
Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan were supposed to tie the knot on October 16, 2012. However, the actors have delayed the wedding again.
Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor were last seen together on screen in his home production 'Agent Vinod'.

Kareena Takes a dig at rival Katrina Kaif in her movie ‘Heroine’

Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?” Well this must be what, Bebo and Katrina is saying, each time they see the mirror. The quest and rivalry between the two, to be the number one actress in Bollywood is not hidden.

To add spice to that, Kareena is said to take a jibe at Katrina in her new venture ‘Heroine’. In a scene from the movie, while she is interacting with a journalist she says that some actress in the film industry make name and fame riding piggyback on their boyfriend. It is not hard to understand, who she was taking the dig at. She also goes on to say that passport of the actress should be checked for name, age and country of origin.

Not that we need to pin down Kareena for this, as the dialogues are being managed by filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who is the director of the movie. Both the girls though maintain a healthy relationship with Salman Khan, who is revered by all in Bollywood.

‘Heroine’ is set to be released on September 12. Kareena plays the role of a Bollywood actress in the movie. She has been described in the trailer as a sankee, moody and impulsive person. The voice in the background of the trailer asks who will give chance to such an actress. The instant reply comes from Kareena, who says, “Hollywood ho ya Bollywood, har heroine mein yein teeno qualities hoti hai”.

Bhandarkar is known for the one-liners in his movie. At one place Kareena takes a dig at the media too, where she says, “Aap media waalon ko film scripts likhnee chahiye. Heroine ne gadi lee toh businessman ne gift kar di, diamond khareeda toh engagement ho gayi, hospital gayi checkup ke liye toh abortion ho gaya, LA gayi toh plastic surgery karva lee, or God forbid Dubai gayi toh uska rate card bann jata hai.”

The movie has other funny one-liners too. Divya Dutta, who plays Kareena’s rival in the movie says to her, “Yeh film industry hai, yahaan ya toh manipulate karlo, ya manipulate ho jao.”

The film also casts Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda, who play the role of actor and cricketer respectively. In also involves a raunchy intimate scene between Arjun and Kareena, which is already a hit on YouTube.

Kareena gets catty about Katrina in Heroine?

As rivals for the number one actress spot, Kareena Kapoor and Katrina Kaif have never been friends, despite both actresses' close relationship with Salman Khan. Now, rumour has it that Heroine has given Kareena a chance to take aim at Katrina, at least on screen.

This report in The Times Of India says that one scene in the film has Kareena's character remark to a film journalist that another actress has only made it big because of the backing of her superstar boyfriend (in real life, Salman).

Not convinced she means Katrina? There's more. Kareena's character also goes on to say that the journalist should check the other actress' passport for her real name and nationality. That's pretty much what Deepika Padukone infamously said about Katrina on Koffee With Karan some seasons ago.

Kareena was reportedly reluctant to do the scene initially but was convinced by director Madhur Bhandarkar who argued in favour of the sizeable contingent of actresses non-Indian or partly Indian origin who come to Bollywood to try their luck.

Will Katrina retaliate? And how will Salman, who Kareena starred in the superhit Bodyguard and is close friends with, respond?

Kareena is my Mom says Rohit Shetty

Kareena Kapoor has already become a mom. Hang on! Not to a baby! Rohit Shetty recently told a daily that Kareena Kapoor keeps a check on him and he has to run scripts past her. The director was asked by a leading Daily, about rumours of him signing Kareena Kapoor for Chennai Express, to which he replied: "Kareena is my mom. I've to tell her whatever I'm working on; I run my scripts past her, tell her about upcoming projects. She knows who I'm working with, where I'm shooting, what I'm doing. She keeps a check on me."

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor is riding high after the first trailer launch of her upcoming film Heroine. The actress lives up to the expectations as she gets into the skin of her character Mahi in the recently released Heroine trailer. There's a glimpse of the much-awaited item song Halkat Jawani too.

The actress who's seen in various avatars, in the film (since she's an actress), manages to impress with her acting skills.

Bebo is seen getting steamy with co-star Arjun Rampal too. After Kurbaan, this is the first time Kareena has done some extremely intimate scenes. The actress can certainly expect some awards for her role.

Kareena Kapoor takes a dig at ‘foreigner’ Katrina Kaif!

New Delhi: Our little birdie who had been spying on the sets of ‘Heroine’ has dropped by to give us a very entertaining piece of information. Well, the news is that actress Kareena Kapoor has taken a very straightforward jibe at rival Katrina Kaif.

It all happened while shooting for the film that a scene required her to interact with a journalist, and bitch about another leading actress (Katrina) that how she has climbed up the success ladder only because her boyfriend is a top star (Salman Khan). She then goes on to add that her passport should be checked to identify her real name, age and country of origin. Even the actress who plays the role of this ‘foreign’ actress is said to have a resemblance to Kat!

Don’t you feel a sense of déjà vu after going through this statement? The fact is that Katrina’s passport issue was brought to light by Deepika Padukone on the TV show ‘Koffee with Karan’ which caused a lot of buzz in Bollywood circles.

It has also been said that initially Kareena was reluctant to perform this scene but was taken into confidence by director Madhur Bhandarkar who reasoned that these days there are many aspiring actresses who come to India to try their luck in films.

I will work till I am 90, says Kareena Kapoor

Reigning Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor does not intend to give up her position to anyone inthe industry and insists that she will continue to work till she turns 90.

In Madhur Bhandarkar's much awaited film, Heroine Kareena will be seen as a superstar. The film chronicles thevarious phases, she goes through as an actress -- from aglamorous high life to a tragic downfall.
When asked if she fears that she will have to  make placeof other actress, Kareena said, "I haven't thought of it asyet. And obviously I wish and hope that. I think I will belike Zohra Sehgal who would be working till 90...so toughluck. I am not going to give my place to anyone."

The story of the rise and fall of an actress – there seems to be some similarity between Kareena's yet-to-be-released Heroine and Vidya Balan's hit The Dirty Picture.

On this, Kareena says, "I am not getting into anyone's shoes. I am very much comfortable in my shoes and nobody fitsinto my size. I am not going anywhere. Heroine is not a dirty film...its completely different from The Dirty Picture. It is unfair to compare the two films."

The Dirty Picture was based in 80s and this (Heroine)is a modern day story. TDP was about an item girl, Heroine is about superstar. I have taken on this film because of thescript and not to compete with anyone. I think one should stop making comparisons as it is useless," she said.

Also, Kareena is all set to rock with her latest item song – Halkat Jawani  from Heroine and she asserts that the song is not an answer to Katrina's Sheila Ki Jawani.

"No answer to anybody, don't compare it with anybody. It is mine," Kareena said.

Meanwhile, Bhandarkar was all praise for Kareena. "Kareena has done fabulous job. And I am sure and I hope she gets a national award," he said.

'Heroine is set to release on September 21, which happens to be Kareena’s birthday.
