Tulisa turns heads with bob-style hairstyle... as Nicole Scherzinger looks more than all white in trouser suit

Tulisa Contostavlos and Nicole Scherzinger's style choices have been a hot topic of conversation amongst X Factor fans.

But on Saturday night, the former N-Dubz singer, 24, threw something different into the mix with her bob-style haircut.

However, it appeared the North Londoner hadn't gone for the chop - she had simply tucked her long hair out of sight, give the impression of having a shorter do.

Tulisa's short 'do perfectly complemented her 1920s-esque shimmering Temperley London floor-length gown.

She teamed the show-stopping gown with a pair of black Kurt Geiger heels and Folli Follie earrings.

Meanwhile, American singer Nicole, 34, was going for a more androgynous look in white Jean-Pierre Braganza suit.

And she made sure we saw her bronze Charlotte Olympia heels when she climbed onto the judges' table during her enthusiastic feedback for her act Rylan Clark.

The women's very different style choices came after Tulisa appeared to be catching up with Nicole when it came to her X Factor outfits on last weekend's shows.

Recently, fellow judge Louis Walsh claimed Nicole was winning the fashion wars and urged Tulisa to 'up her game'.

He said: 'I think Nicole gets it right nearly all the time. Tulisa has had to up her game.

'Nicole and Tulisa have about six people each tending to their beauty and styling needs. I think Tulisa is probably turning into J.Lo.'

Tulisa debuts second solo single Live It Up... but it gets mixed reactions from fans

She hit the top spot on the UK charts with her debut solo single Young earlier this year.

And now Tulisa is hoping to recreate her previous success with her second offering, Live It Up.

The former N-Dubz singer debuted the track on radio stations nationwide this morning, after admitting recently that she was hoping the song would help define her 'as an artist'.

She told Capital FM: 'Basically, with this single there is no aim at all to get a number one or storm the charts.

'This is now me going back to me and trying to define myself as an artist because I knew I wanted a number one hit as my first release. I got that with Young, so I went even more urban with this second single.'

However, the song, which also features rapper Tyga, didn't go down too well with listeners, with many taking to Twitter to express their disappointment.

One user wrote: 'The new Tulisa single sounds like Start Without You by Alexandra Burke with every bit of joy, sunshine and enthusiasm drained out of it.'

While another added: 'Just heard Tulisa's new song.. And she's quite good at singing so why does she shout and growl in all of them??'

However, others backed the singer and her new offering, with one tweeting: 'Tulisa 'Live It Up' is amazing:D!'

But regardless of the mixed reactions to the track, Tulisa said that she's not expecting big chart movement for the single.

She explained: 'I don't expect it to even possibly get top ten it's that urban, but you never know.

'The fanbase could pull through, the N-Dubletts could pull through, and it is a smash but it's an urban smash and I know that in the UK these days it is a lot tougher with urban music.'

She turned 24 on Friday and Tulisa Constavlos was determined to party in style.

The X Factor judge is celebrating with her pals in Ibiza and she ventured out to the Ocean Beach Club in a barely there outfit.

Flaunting a slightly fuller than usual figure, the newly blonde singer was in high spirits as she showed off the tan she gained from lazing by the pool today.

Tulisa’s unflattering outfit of a black bra top which her cleavage was bursting out of and high-waisted denim shorts gave the illusion of making the Young singer look bigger than she is.

However, she didn’t seem to care as she entered the club with her pals.

Earlier, Tulisa had encouraged her fans to come and see her at the hotspot, tweeting ‘Getting ready to hit ocean beach club ibiza for my bday!! See u their from 7pm guys! X (sic).’

It’s a double celebration for Tulisa who is ecstatic about her birthday and settling a legal battle with her ex-boyfriend.

The X Factor judge was seen relaxing poolside on Friday no doubt nursing a hangover following a crazy night on Thursday.


Tulisa had donned a pretty bright bikini for the relaxing day in the sun but it seems the heat got too much for her.

The Young singer couldn't take the super hot temperatures and she jumped into the pool to cool down.

Re-hydrating with a bottle of water Tulisa relaxed on a lilo occasionally dangling her limbs into the water.

At several points throughout the day Tulisa was seen scrunching up her face, perhaps regretting consuming alcohol toasting to her birthday the night before.

The X Factor judge was presented with a delicious birthday cake, complete with candles which she then blew out, as she celebrated her big day at the Plastik Beach Bar.

The pretty singer wore a sexy printed bralet and matching skirt for the night out, highlighting her lighter locks with a deep golden tan.

During the evening, Tulisa was seen hitting the dancefloor with her pals, as well as being presented with a huge bunch of flowers and a present inside a Minnie Mouse gift bag.

Tulisa kept fans updated with her celebrations via her Twitter page, sharing pictures of the group enjoying the evening.

She accompanied one such picture with the caption: 'Its my birthday and ill get crunk if I want to! ‪#ibiza.'

However, later on the singer clearly didn't trust herself on the micro-blogging site as the alcohol kicked in, tweeting later on: 'I'm logging out. Ima sign my twitter over to @GarethVarey tonight haha.'

Tulisa had told reporters outside the High Court on Thursday after settling her court case against Justin Edwards that she was looking forward to celebrate turning 24 in the sunshine.

Justin Edwards's actions were to spite me, make money and ruin my career. He has succeeded in none of these things.

'I stand here today a stronger, wiser young woman who has taken this experience and learnt from it.

Tulisa Contostavlos has usurped Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Cheryl Cole to be named the world's sexiest woman.

The 23-year-old X Factor judge, who recently hit the headlines when a sex tape appeared online showing her sharing an "intimate moment" with a former boyfriend, tops the annual FHM list.

Two-time winner Cheryl takes second place, followed by pop star Rihanna and glamour model Rosie Jones.
