Vidya Balan’s lip-lock jinxed?

The much-touted lip-lock between Vidya Balan and Tusshar Kapoor is still yet to be shot for The Dirty Picture.

As one of the men who's close to Silk Smitha, the character that Vidya essays in the film, Tusshar shares a lip-lock with her onscreen. However, while the other scenes have been shot with the two of them, this is yet to be canned. It was supposed to have been shot more than a month back in Hyderabad where they shot most of the film. But a sudden dragonfly attack on the sets, put an end to the shoot.

The kissing scene was to be canned in Mumbai later and it looks like it's still hanging in limbo! Meanwhile, some people in Kollywood are not too sure Vidya can pull off the oomphy Silk Smitha role. It now remains to be seen what the reaction will be to Vidya's 'bold' scenes on-screen.

Katrina Kaif’s kiss-and-tell tale!

Mumbai: In Bollywood, on-screen kisses have always created huge ripples. And when the two stars are Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan, then it is bond to generate quite a curiosity.

Katrina and Hrithik’s liplock in ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ reportedly is the longest ever smooches in the history of Bollywood. However, the actress is completely unperturbed.

Talking to a daily about her on-screen kiss, Kat said, “Why give it so much importance? I don’t feel the sequence is even worth talking about. People won’t watch the film only for the kiss, I can promise you that. Personally too, I don’t give it any attention. People will come only if they are interested in the film, like the promos, or if they like the vibe of the film. It’s part of an actor’s job.”

Apparently, this is not the first time the actress has locked lips in a flick. Katrina’s steamy kiss with Gulshan Grover in ‘Boom’ (2003) was deleted from its DVDs.

However, Katrina Kaif is excited to share screen space with Greek god Hrithik for the first time in her career. “He is an amazingly talented person. I always wanted to work with him and I’m happy to have got the opportunity now. You can really learn a lot about focus, concentration and dedication from him,” she said.

Hmm….we couldn’t agree more with Katrina!

TV has come of age and so have actors. They are trying things that were considered taboo until now.

One such actress is Leena Jumani aka Pakhi of Ganga Kii Dheej, who decided to shed all inhibitions and get into her first lip-lock ever with her male co-star Mohit Raina, of course on screen. But shooting for it obviously wasn't easy for this shy Gujarati girl.

Leena's character Pakhi recently got married on the show and it was time for consummation and that would mean some explicit and intimate scenes. She was intimated by the makers about the rain song with Mohit, which would ultimately lead to intimacy and conclude with a passionate kiss.

Everything went off well and so did the steamy smooch, but now the channel is in a predicament whether to air it or not. We contacted Leena who was rather chilled out about shooting the kiss sequence, but she admitted, "The consummation scene was one of the most stressful scenes I have shot so far. Moreover, Mohit and I had to make it look sensuous.

My biggest worry was the lip-lock. Thankfully, the song was picturised without many retakes and most importantly the lip-lock was passed in one attempt. I don't have any qualms to doing such scenes as long as I am convinced that its inevitable to the script." Is the Bhatt camp or Emraan Hashmi hearing?

Jacqueline takes on Mallika!

Jacqueline Fernandez is set to give Mallika Sherawat a run for her money in the sequel to Murder.

The actress apparently has many steamy scenes with Emraan Hashmi and is using the film to build the sexy image for herself, just like Mallika did with the original. Sources in the production say that she has no qualms about going ultra bold and has apparently been saying that she will go a step ahead of Ms. Sherawat.

Some steamy lip-locks are also part of the plan. Later, we'll ask Emraan who was a better kisser.

Katrina Kaif’s lip-lock to be added back in the movie Boom

Mumbai, March 12 -  “Boom” a 2003 film, is based on the lives of three supermodels. The film had Amitabh Bachchan, Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, who were the underworld dons, fooled by the three sexy ladies, by coaxing and seducing. The roles of three supermodels in the film were acted by Padma Lakshmi (Shiela Bardez), Madhu Sapre (Anu Gaekwad) and Katrina Kaif (Rina Kaif).

 

Katrina is one of the most successful heroines of today. But she can’t ignore the fact, that in her debut film “Boom”, she had opted for skin show in order to please the audience. But, some of the scenes in the movie, especially a smooching scene of Kat and Gulshan Grover had to be deleted by the film makers that time, compelled by Katrina’s ex boyfriend Salman. But now that the two have broke up, the film makers of “Boom” are set to re-introduce those clipped hot scenes of Kat in the movie. 

The makers know it very well that re-introduction of those bold scenes of Kat will help them to earn a good amount of money, because certainly Kat’s fans will be eager to see her sharing intimate scenes with Gulshan. Gulshan has affirmed the news. Thus, the steamy lip-lock of Katrina will be a part of the new DVDs of “Boom”.

No lip-lock for Asin, Salman!

There's been a buzz that Salman Khan and Asin will share a super raunchy kiss in their upcoming film Ready. 

But TOI has learned that both actors have no intention of kissing. As the actress was unavailable for comment, we spoke to an informer close to the project who told us, "It is a comedy film and a family entertainer, so there is absolutely no question of having such a scene! I guess people love Asin and Salman's chemistry so much that they are hoping they will lock lips." 

Well, this certainly puts all such rumours to rest for now.

Onscreen lip locks in Indian film industry is something which one would not have thought about until recent times. The Bollywood film industry always had inhibition in shooting the intimate scenes as it was supposed to be in bad taste and against the Indian culture. This school of thinking was very much prevalent till a couple of years ago, but nowadays it is seen that the distinction between the public and the private scene is diminishing fast. Bollywood movies have become too much bold in their approach and lip locks are very much common.

1.Kites

The mega budget Hindi movie, Kites was produced in 2010, and was one of the most hyped movies. The film drew attention as it was a multi lingual film and had a foreigner as the lead actress. Even though the film could not do well in the box office, the lip lock between Hrithik and Mori was one of the prime interests of the viewers. In fact Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori also made a good pair and there on screen chemistry was pretty good.

2.Crook
Crook is a film, which stars Emran Hashmi and Shella Allen. As the actor is often referred as a serial kisser, Emran Hashmi has once again done a lip lock with Shella and is on the news again.

3.Rajneeti

You can also see a lip lock in Rajneeti, which is set against a political back drop. In this film you can see Ranbir Kapoor and Sarah. Both play the role of lovers who are ripped across. The lip lock which is shared between them, tries to show the fidelity and the honesty of Ranbir’s love to his lady, irrespective of boundaries. This lip lock is more of an assurance rather than the portrayal of sensuous love.

4.Band Baaja Baraat

In Band Baaja Baraat also we see actors Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh doing lip lock in such a situation where there was no possibility of love or romance between them. So this sweet exchange of lip lock was a kind of relief to the audience, for whom this was pretty unexpected.

5.Ishqiya 

Another rustic onscreen lip lock which was pretty talked about was in the film Ishqiya. The film cast includes Arshad Warsi, Vidya Balan and Nasiruddin Shah. The film has a typical village like ambience, where Vidya plays a village girl. She and Arshad Warsi engage themselves in a lip lock which expresses their love and passion for each other. 

Lip locks are a revolution for such an industry where showing of skin and various other bold acts were a strict no-no. With recent times such restrictions and limitations no more exists and lip locks are very much talked about. Showing lip locks on screen has defied all the rules of culture and norms; and they are very much prevalent in Indian films now.
