Didn’t cash in on Anandi: Avika Gor

The fifteen-year-old Avika Gor, better known as the child-bride on Balika Vadhu, says she’s a workaholic, is set to enter celeb dance show.

Audiences still remember you as the child-bride Anandi. Don’t you think you should have taken a break after Balika Vadhu before taking on mature roles?
No, I never felt that. Young cricketers keep playing the sport from a tender age till they make it. They don’t take breaks. My relationship with acting is similar. I want to keep acting no matter what roles I get.

But having seen you play Anandi, isn’t it tough for the audience to set that image aside?
I realise that people, at times, can’t look beyond Anandi when it comes to me. And many people have told me I should have continued playing the grown-up character in the show. I didn’t because there were some intimate scenes, which I wouldn’t have been comfortable doing, as I was 12 or 13 at that time. I am playing a married 18-year-old woman in Sasuraal Simar Ka (SSK) on TV, but I haven’t done intimate scenes nor will I do so in the future. The writers on the show know I am 15, so if they want any such scenes, they will have to take a leap (laughs).

Child actors hardly get good roles once they grow up. Did you take up the grown-up role in SSK because you wanted to cash in on Anandi’s image?
There were several offers, so I didn’t need to cash in on Anandi. Fans who used to comment on how cute I was as Anandi on my blog, now send comments saying they love me as Roli in SSK. When it was offered to me, I knew it was a challenge. I had to play an 18-year-old girl and had to work hard on the body language and maturity of the character.

Now you have taken on Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa (JDJ) as well.

I always wanted to do JDJ, but I only managed to get a chance now. I am excited and not at all nervous about participating in it. I am confident and bindaas about everything in life. I am like a boy. I am not scared of anything and if I am unable to do something, my parents have my back.

What is the compulsion to take on so much work?

Why not? I get good opportunities and I can manage it. Moreover, it isn’t work, but fun. For example, a few months ago, I was shooting for Kalpana Lajmi’s Kaanch where I play a 14-year-village girl. I was also shooting for SSK simultaneously. Now that the film has wrapped up, I will be doing JDJ and SSK. Of course, I also have to deal with my 10th standard exams this year, but I know my capabilities.

Wild card

To spice up the celebrity dance show Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa, popular TV actors like Avika Gor, Eijaz Khan, Rashmi Desai, Drashti Dhami, Karan Singh Wahi will compete against each other next week to be part of the reality show. Only two will be chosen to join the show.

Juhi Parmar is the Winner of Bigg Boss Season 5

TV actress Juhi Parmar, who has won the fifth season of controversial reality show 'Bigg Boss' says it is a second inning for her as her 'weighty' issue had kept her away from small screen.

"It is like a second inning for me....I wanted to start work but only after reducing weight...getting in proper shape. I was away from work for a year or so. My weight was a big hindrance in my career which I gained due to medical reasons. But there are no excuses accepted in the industry. For me the struggle was to lose weight...my target was that," Juhi told PTI in an interview.

"Bigg Boss came my way so I took it up. I thought it was the right thing before I begin work with a rocking start," she said.

Before getting into Bigg Boss, Juhi had lost 10 kgs and after going to the show she lost four kgs.

"The feeling has yet to sink in. Forget about winning the show I had never expected to be there till finale. I felt as I was not the focal point of the show I may not last longer. As I never picked up fights or anything of that sort," Juhi said.

"I was not the silent player. I used to talk, laugh, cry, voice my opinion, stood up for the truth," she said.

Juhi feels fights and controversies do not help any contestant in the long run.

"If pick up fights and all that was concerned then I wouldnt have won the show. I have hardly had any major fight on the show. It takes you ahead in the show as it does not help you in winning. That is not the mantra," she said.

Juhi won Rs one crore prize money besides a trophy. But the actress has not yet thought of how she would spend the money, except that she would keep it for kids.

Pooja Missra might win Bigg Boss 5: Laxmi

Transgender activist Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, who was evicted from Bigg Boss 5 on Saturday, says she is glad to have left with her "dignity and self-respect" intact. She predicts troublemaker VJ Pooja Missra will end up being one of the top three contenders on the reality show. "My journey in the show was fantastic.

When I was nominated this time, I knew it 110% that I will be evicted. So I am fine with the public's decision. I am only happy that I have managed to come out without losing my dignity and self respect," Tripathi told IANS over phone from Mumbai, after leaving the Bigg Boss 5 house.

Tripathi, who is known for her fights for the LGBT community, entered the show on October 2 with 12 female celebrities and one male celebrity. In six weeks of her stay, she not just came across as a strong, determined and opinionated person, but also proved her point - that transgenders are after all, the same humans as all!

Of all her co-participants, Tripathi feels Pooja has a definite chance to reach the finals.
"Juhi Parmar and Amar Upadhyay stand a chance to reach the finals, but Pooja Missra seems to be the most likely to reach the final three because she is the biggest footage queen ever," said Tripathi.

Pooja has been the centre of attention this season thanks to her catfights and over-the-top attitude. She has received a lot of flak from her co-participants, but the audience seems to be in love with her melodrama.

"Pooja Missra has been nominated for eviction five times…but I guess the viewers are enjoying watching her. She is such an opportunist, and making the best use of the platform by grabbing so much footage," added Tripathi, who feels actor Akashdeep Saigal's behaviour in the Bigg Boss 5 house is "gross and crass".

Bigg Boss is an Indian adaptation of international reality show Big Brother. It features celebrities, who are locked together in a secluded house, away from the humdrum of their busy lives, without any connect with the outside world, and under 24X7 camera surveillance.

Shakti Kapoor not safe in Bigg Boss: Farah Khan

Choreographer-director-actor Farah Khan has been the most consistent follower of Bigg Boss since season one. However, this time she misses out on half the episode because of her gruelling shooting schedules. “I’m tired when I get home. Ever since Just Dance wrapped up, I’vebeen setting a number for Housefull 2. I watch half the show and go to sleep because I have an early call time, and the show airs late. But my husband (director Shirish Kunder) is following it religiously on my behalf,” says Farah, who’s forced to put the TV off because she has to put her triplets to sleep. “I can’t let their schedules get affected because I want to watch TV.”

Every year, Farah is known to throw a bash of sorts for her close friends with whom she watches the first and sometimes, the closing episode of the reality show. However, she’s broken the tradition this year. “I couldn’t have an opening episode party but when I saw Shakti (Kapoor) entering the house as the only man among 12 women and a eunuch, I thought that this season was turning out to be really ‘different’,” she laughs. “Maybe, we’ll have a closing bash.”

‘One day, they’ll gang up against him’Not all the women in the house are nasty. But some are too bad to be true. One of these days, they’ll gang up against Shakti and have him thrown out of the house. A couple of them, within two-three days, will show their true colours. They speak behind their backs, pass nasty comments, and I can see discontent brewing inside a few hearts. It’s just a matter of time. All it will take is one big nasty fight.

‘He’s well-behaved’Bechara Shakti! I don’t feel bad for the women but I definitely feel for Shakti. He must be missing male company so much now. He is shown to be a lecherous villain on screen but on a public platform, he’s anything but lecherous. I’ve not shot too much with him but while working on Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani (2000), I remember he was the first to arrive on sets. It’s against his public image, but he’s actually well behaved. I want him to stay inside for a while because it’ll bring out his true personality. He flirts but in this current situation, he better not misbehave. Pit jayega bechara (he will be beaten up)!

‘There are sweet souls too’
The house would have been incomplete without its set of sweet, and at times, neutral women. They don’t react or overreact in most situations. So, it is good to see Raageshwari back in action. She’s a sweet soul and should stay longer to ensure that there is some sanity left till the last day. Ditto Sonika, but she should come out because it may impact her baby if she stays in this negative environment for too long.

Bevli jailed!
Mandeep Bevli is sent to jail in tonight’s episode. She is given the task to get each housemate to comment on every other member in one sentence only. Everyone, as expected, goes overboard describing his or her individual experience. So, Bevliji who is judging and monitoring the exercise, is punished and sent to jail for an indefinite period. Before going in, she cries and says she can’t eat, sleep and even excrete properly. Okay, we don’t need to get more personal!

Shakti Kapoor gets a royal ignore from Salman and Sanjay!

Actor Shakti Kapoor is perhaps facing the worse snub of his life. Bigg Boss 5 hosts, Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt have apparently decided not to interact with Kapoor, who is the only male inmate in the house.

Sources reveal that Salman Khan, who was once a close friend of Shakti, refused to share the stage with Bigg Boss contestant Shakti, which is why all the female contestants had a brief introduction with Dutt and Khan, but Shakti had a solo entry in the house, without any formal introduction.

Incidentally, both Sanju and Sallu refrained from taking Kapoor’s name and they ensured of the same in their script.

Sources said, the producers are trying to break the ice between Kapoor and the two hosts, since it will look vague if there is no interaction throughout the weeks.

Shakti, who did show remorse at his past deed in the Bigg Boss house, shared the incident (with fellow inmates) that had triggered the friction with Salman without divulging the actor’s identity, “I, in a trip of alcohol, happened to abuse this actor on the phone, which hurt his ego and since then he is not talking to me and unfortunately he is superstar now.”

Similarly, Kapoor insanely narrated an incident about a Bollywood heroine ‘farting’ (using an indecent word like “paad” on national television), while giving a film shot.

He went on to narrate, how the hero of that film Sanjay Dutt (second host of Bigg Boss) had even arranged for a special private screening of the ‘fart’ shot for twenty of his selected friends, who clapped and mocked at the heroine after what they saw and heard the fart.

All this believed to have not gone well with Dutt too, who also is planning to ignore Kapoor, allegedly giving the producers a tough time ahead.

Let’s hope all is sorted out in the Bigg Boss house.

Mandeep Bevli wants to quit ‘Bigg Boss 5′

Mumbai: Popular TV Anchor and a Bigg Boss 5 contestant now, Mandeep Bevli has given up and wants to quit the show.

In yesterday’s episode, Mandeep was seen requesting other housemates to nominate her for the next eliminations. Otherwise a very tough looking Mandeep broke down in front of the camera. She complained of sleep deprivation and poor health state. Mandeep further added that she had no clue about the Bigg Boss format and will be more than happy to go home.

Mandeep also has bird phobia and got really scared as she saw a bird in the house. Later during the day, she was asked to judge a task by Bigg Boss. However, she failed to perform her duties well and Bigg Boss decided to put her behind the bars. May be a bad luck streak has just struck Mandeep.

Mandeep blamed her deteriorating health condition for not been able to perform the daily tasks well. Some housemates like Laxmi Narayan and Juhi Parmar are a little upset with Mandeep because of the same.

The Bigg Boss 5 journey begun a few days back with 14 contestants. This week Pooja Misrra and Nihita Biswas are in the danger zone and one of them will be eliminated.

Bigg Boss 5: Shraddha tries to entice Shakti Kapoor - Day 3

The weekly task (Pahiya Ghumao, Kismat Chamkao – where they have to ride a rickshaw to different cities) continues. The contestants complain and curse about their decision to participate in Bigg Boss 5. They are extremely tired and exhausted from cycling day and night to reach their next destination and complete the task. After all the complaining, the contestants finally reach Lucknow. As a part of the performance, Shakti Kapoor is dressed as a nawab while the others are dressed as Mujra dancers who try to entice the Nawab with their adas. Shakti is also assigned as a judge for this performance and he has to decide who the best and worst dancers are.

Sonika Kaaliraaman has a new task at hand – getting rid of a little bird that has flown into the house. While the bird keeps dodging her, Sonika asks Mandeep for help to get rid of the bird, but one look at the little thing and Mandeep hides in one of the bedrooms. A frantic Mandeep then reveals to Sonika that she has a deathly phobia of birds in an enclosed atmosphere. The wrestler can’t stop laughing at her misery.

The constant ragging causes the so-called head-strong contestant, Mandeep, to cry in front of Bigg Boss. She continues crying even after coming out of the confession room where she is consoled by the other contestants. Shakti Kapoor and Nihita Biswas have their first argument because Shakti is furious that Nihita is comparing herself to others and refusing to participate actively in the weekly task.

Later in the day, Pooja Misrra breaks down, saying that she feels targeted and completely misunderstood in the house. While Pooja feels hurt, Shonali is being highly appreciated by the contestants in the house for her helpful and cheerful personality. Feeling overwhelmed, Shonali also breaks down, being unable to accept all this positive feedback from her co-contestants. The contestants are told to provide their fellow contestants with feedback in one sentence or one word. Mandeep is appointed as a judge for this task. The contestants, however, are unable to follow the rules of the task due to which, Mandeep is punished.

Vida Samadzai is taken aback when she realizes that while she has limited friends outside the house, all contestants inside the house are being extremely friendly towards her and are willing to be her friends. This makes her extremely happy and she cries tears of joy.

Later in the night, Shraddha Sharma starts applying heavy makeup. When Shakti asks her why she is doing so, Shraddha replies it is for him. She wants to ensure that even if Shakti wakes up in the middle of the night to get himself a glass of water, he will see her looking beautiful for him.

In 'Bigg Boss 5' for new challenges: Nihita

Mumbai: Nihita Biswas, the Nepali wife of serial killer Charles Sobhraj, says that she is participating in the reality show 'Bigg Boss 5' to explore new challenges in life.

"We are just demanding a fair trial. It is a basic thing that we are asking for. He has been illegally convicted. He has been kept as a hostage in an illegal place. We would challenge the verdict in other court," Nihita claimed.

Sobhraj, who is of Indian and Vietnamese origin, has monikers like 'the serpent' and 'the bikini killer'. He allegedly committed at least 12 murders throughout Southeast Asia during the 70s, targetting mostly the Western tourists.
IBNLive
He has been behind bars in a Kathmandu prison since 2003 and fighting a legal battle in three courts there with each of them convicting him in connection with the murder of an American tourist in 1975.

Nihita, 22, shot to fame three years ago when she married Sobhraj in Kathmandu prison claiming she had fallen in love with him.

Nihita said she agreed to participate in the fifth season of the reality show 'Bigg Boss' to explore new challenges in life.

"Doing reality shows was never on my mind. I had not thought of it....it happened just that when I got the offer. I got a call for participating in this show and my husband said I must do it. He was very supportive. I think it will be a nice and different experience for me. It will also help me connect with different people," Nihita said.

"Prior to this (Bigg Boss 5) there were no offers from any reality show. I guess this show suits me. I like the concept of the show of being tried and tested in different situations. I can say the show is a challenge...like everything in life is a challenge. So I need to experience this challenge," she added.

Replying to a query regarding her perception regarding the show being hosted by actors Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, she said "there is no purpose or reason to coming to this show. I am here only to get the new experience. One must try different things in life. I am going to be just myself on the show. There is no strategy that I would follow to woo other contestants".

"I have no expectations from the show. I do not know the consequences of doing this show. I don't know the outcome," Nihita added.

Watch out for colourful, compact ‘Bigg Boss 5′ house

Click For Enlarge
The “Bigg Boss 5″ house is bright and nice thanks to a riot of colours – green, fuschia, yellow and more – and, due to its compact and transparent design, it is expected to spark riots among the 14 contestants participating in the Colors’ reality show.

The design by interior designer Shayam Bhatia is intentional, reveals Ashwini Yardi, programming head, Colors.

“We have made the house more compact this time around, so that people are more in each other’s face,” Yardi told reporters.

For 100 days, the contestants will be locked inside the 9,000 square feet house, which has been moved from the busy markets of Lonavala to the lush plains of Karjat. As many as 55 cameras have been placed inside the house to pry upon their activities 24×7.

The show, to be co-hosted by actors Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan, will go on air Sunday. The official list of participants is yet to be unveiled. However, names like Nihita Biswas, the Nepali wife of alleged murderer Charles Sobhraj, actress Pooja Bedi, TV actress Parul Chauhan, and even international boxing champion Mike Tyson are expected to be on the show.

From the design of the house, one can imagine that the tolerance level of the contestants will be tested to the hilt. Since the house is smaller as compared to previous seasons of the show, it barely leaves space for any housemate for privacy.

The jail, where indisciplined contestants can be locked, makes a comeback this season, and the much-used kitchen sink has been placed in the garden area to cause more inconvenience and create fiction between the participants.

The house also has a lot of glass, due to which one can view the entire expanse — from the entry of the house to the bedroom all in one go, including the outdoor and living section of the house.

The two separate bedrooms, in shades of green and fuchsia with a hint of white, brown and yellow, have no differentiation for the sexes. Maintaining tradition since last year, there’s a special bedroom for the head-of-house, who will get some luxuries and special privileges.

The open kitchen is connected with a dining room that extends to the garden area, and the outdoor area has gained more prominence with the pool area, the activity area, the gymnasium and the kitchen sink being placed there.

The house has a common washroom, as well as a common bath for male and female contestants.
The confession room, where the contestants get a chance to interact with the “Bigg Boss”, is done in shades of royal green.

Nihita eyes Bigg Boss fame, Sobhraj eyes European Parliament

Nihita Biswas Sobhraj
As 23-year-old Nihita Biswas Sobhraj becomes the first Nepali to take part in Bigg Boss reality show on Indian television from Sunday, her 67-year-old "celebrity" husband will be gearing up to take his battle for freedom to a new arena - the European Parliament.

After having knocked on the doors of the UN Human Rights Committee (HRC) in Geneva for "justice", Sobhraj, who is serving a 20-year life term in Kathmandu's Central Jail for the murder of an American backpacker in 1975, will now ask the European Parliament in Strasbourgto intervene on his behalf.

"I am a European and it is the responsibility of the European Parliament to intervene when its nationals face injustice," Sobhraj, the troubled boy from Vietnam who became a French citizen after being adopted by his French stepfather, told IANS. "The UN Human Rights Committee has recognised that the trials in Nepal were biased against me.

Two of the lower courts that convicted me did not bother to call any witnesses, the case documents were all photocopies of faked documents and the authorities did not provide me with any interpreter though the entire legal proceeding was in Nepali." This week, as Nihita flew out of Kathmandu to head for Mumbai to take part in the fifth edition of the Bigg Boss, to be hosted by Salman Khan andSanjay Dutt, Sobhraj filed a mandamus petition in Nepal's Supreme Court, the same court that last year upheld the lower courts' "guilty" verdict against him.

The mandamus reminded the court that in February this year, his French lawyer Isabelle Coutant Peyre had slapped a legal notice on Nepal's then prime minister Jhala Nath Khanal and President, Ram Baran Yadav, asking them to pay a compensation of 6 million euro for Sobhraj's illegal detention in Nepal since 2003 and the "biased" trials that led to his conviction last year.

The mandamus petition has asked the government of Nepal to respect and abide by its international and constitutional obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights which, according to the HRC, were flouted in Sobhraj's case.

Once Nepal's courts, mostly closed for the long Dashain holidays, reopen, Sobhraj's Nepali lawyer Shakuntala Thapa, who is also Nihita's mother, will also file a new case in the Supreme Court, saying his rights were violated by the previous jailer of the Central Prison. Nepal's laws say if anyone wants to have a Supreme Court verdict reviewed by a full bench of at least five judges, the application has to be filed within two months of the verdict. However, in Sobhraj's case, though the Supreme Court passed its judgment on the murder of Connie Jo Bronzich last year, he failed to ask for a review as he says the then jailer refused to forward the petition and relevant documents to the court and thereby violated his rights. Sobhraj told IANS, through his lawyer, that he was confident Nihita, whom he says he married while inside prison, would be able to hold her own with the other contestants in Bigg Boss.

He is also hoping that the contest, which will last for 98 days, will give her a platform to tell the outside world about the injustice done to him in Nepal by the police and courts. The first murder conviction in Nepal's district court, for instance, had the judge delivering a "guilty" verdict on the basis of erroneous reading. In a letter written in the past from Delhi's Tihar Jail, he had said that his then accomplice Marie LeClerc had not told her parents about her "illegal" activities.

The handwritten letter, published in a book, The Life and Crimes of Charles Sobhraj, was presented as evidence by the prosecutor and the judge, Bishwombhar Shrestha, read "illegal" as "Nepal" and said it proved Sobhraj had visited Nepal in 1975 despite his denials and found him guilty of murder.

Bigg Boss 5 gets bigger, better

The fifth season of TV reality show 'Bigg Boss' promises to get bigger and better with tons of drama and manipulation, having changed its house location to Karjat, besides having two star hosts -- Salman and Sanjay -- who will be welcoming 14 new inmates including probables like boxer Mike Tyson and pop singer Shakira.

The show sees celebrity contestants stay in a house for about three months, cut off from the outside world. They are overseen by a"mysterious person" known as 'Bigg Boss'.

This time, the location of Bigg Boss house has beenshifted to Karjat from Lonavala. Interior designer ShayamBhatia has designed the 9,000 square feet house.

This year there are two separate bedrooms as against the single bedroom last time where all 14 housemates stayed. The bedrooms have been done in shades of green and fuchsia with a hint of white, brown and yellow. The confession room varies with a shade of royal green and the jail concept is back and black.

The beautifully designed open kitchen is connected to a dining room that extends to the garden area. The outdoor spot consists of a pool, the activity area, gymnasium and the kitchen sink.

This season there will be over 55 cameras following every move of the contestants 24x7.

Like last year there will be a special bedroom for the Head-of-House who will get special privileges.

Also, the show will also see two hosts for the first time --Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt. Salman, who hosted the fourth season, is the only celebrity who will be repeating the feat for the second time.

Fourteen handpicked strangers, locked in the house for about three months will have to perform all the household chores right from cleaning to cooking to tasks.

The names that are doing the rounds include - former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, Colombian singer and dancer Shakira, former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, Nihita Biswas (wife of convicted murderer Charles Sobhraj) Mexican actress Barbara Mori, former South African cricketer Jonty Rhodes, pop icon Lady Gaga, British singer- rapper Jay Sean, stand-up comedian Sudesh Lehri, JaspalBhatti, Shekhar Suman's actor son Adhyayan, TV actorsParul Chauhan (of 'Bidaai' fame), Karan Singh Grover (of 'Dil Mill Gayye') and Amar Upadhyay.

However, the names of the housemates will be out soon as the reality show is set to hit the small screen on October 2 on Colors channel.

Jonty Rhodes an inmate in `Bigg Boss 5` house?

For all those diehard fans of Jonty Rhodes, here’s a piece of good news! Buzz has it that the former South African cricketer might be one of the inmates in the house of `Bigg Boss 5`.

The flamboyant cricketer, who is still worshipped as “the finest fielder cricket has ever produced”, is currently in India and is busy touring with the Mumbai Indians’ side for the ongoing Champions League.

Talking to a daily, Jonty gave a hint and said, “I have seen the occasional episode of `Big Boss`, and have also seen `Big Brother`, in different countries around the world. Would love to try my hands at the Indian version of the show, though.”

The former SA player, however, refrained from divulging any details about his probable stint in `Bigg Boss 5`, but said, “I have been coming back to India on regular occasions since 1993, and have not been able to learn much Hindi; how to do Yoga; dance or cook some of the delicious Indian dishes, so I hope being on the show will put me in an environment where I am able to cover a few of those skills!”

When asked about his knowledge of Hindi, Jonty was prompt enough to give a smart response. He said, “I obviously don`t possess the same assets as Pamela Anderson, but she seemed to do okay! Anyways the universal language of cricket should see me through!”

Rhodes has commitments with cricket until mid-October, so the duration of his appearance in `Bigg Boss 5` has not yet been decided.

"I have cricket coaching commitments until mid-October, so am not sure when they would be able to slot me in to the show,” he said.

Boxing legend Mike Tyson in Bigg Boss 5

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson has reportedly been finalized as a participant in the Indian version of Big Brother.

The programme, known as Bigg Boss, starts in October, and will be hosted by Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt, reports the BBC.

Last season, former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson made a special appearance in the Bigg Boss house and proved a ratings booster for the show.

The late reality TV star Jade Goody appeared in Bigg Boss in 2008.

Goody died in March 2009 after a high-profile battle with cervical cancer; she learned she had the condition while on the show.

There were rumours that that the boxer would feature in the celebrity-line up during this season's Big Brother in UK, which has moved to its new home on Channel 5.

Tyson is no newcomer to India - in 2007, he made his Bollywood debut, starring in a music video for a Hindi film called Fool-n-Final, a comedy centred on a bunch of criminals.

Madhuri Dixit approached for Bigg Boss 5

After Madhuri Dixit decided to relocate to India, Bigg Boss makers have decided to make the most of this opportunity by inviting her to be a part of season 5 being hosted by Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt.

Madhuri has apparently been approached by Endemol and Colors for the show and is reportedly being offered a huge amount for a special appearance in the House.

Other celebrity guests on the show include boxer Mike Tyson and actor Babara Mori. Charles Shobhraj's wife Nihita Biswas, 22, has also confirmed her presence on Colors' controversial reality show.

"Madhuri will be paid equivalent to international boxer Mike Tyson while actor Babara Mori's remuneration is still being worked out," a source told Daily Bhaskar.

The show is set to go on air in October.

Now, Colors launches crime-based reality show ‘Wanted…’

Mumbai, Feb 17 – After game show ‘Bigg Boss’ and adventure-based ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, Colors channel has launched crime-based reality show ‘Wanted – High Alert’ to help curb crime.

‘Colors has always done something different, whether it is soap or reality show. Whether it’s ‘Fear Factor’ or ‘Bigg Boss’ or soaps like ‘Balika Badhu’, we always do something which is relevant to the society, whether it’s child marriage or female infanticide like ‘Lado’,’ Ashvini Yardi, programming head of Colors told IANS after the launch of the show here Thursday.

‘So when we decided to get into a genre like crime, we decided to do a crime reality show.

Viewers are active participants in this show and with this show we can help the police, I won’t say to eradicate but to reduce the crime in the country,’ she added.
‘Wanted’ will show photographs of the wanted criminals and there will be a toll free number where viewers can call to give information about them.

Colors has teamed up with B.A.G Films to accomplish the goal.

‘We have news bureaus across the country. We have tied up with B.A.G. They have the news media. We are using them to use their stringers across. Police are helping us,’ said Yardi.

Asked how would it be different from shows like ‘India’s Most Wanted’ or ‘Crime Patrol’, she said: ‘It’s a reality show, they are fictional.’

The show is going on air Feb 26 and it will be hosted by actor Sushat Singh. Every episode will deal with two cases.

‘We are speaking of real crime, one who are accused and still wanted. There are enough evidences. We are asking common man to participate and help police to grab them. We are showing photographs of the accused in different get-ups, which they might have used to escape the law,’ Sushant, who finds acting easier than hosting a reality show, told IANS.

‘I am still doing my homework. Honestly, I am very nervous. Putting up a mask of a character and facing the camera is much different from but being alone in the show and interacting directly with mass through a camera is a huge responsibility,’ said Sushant.

The channel is using its platform to find out the accused with co-operation from police and their bureaus across the country.
