Baba Ramdev takes on Rakhi Sawant

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has lashed out at item girl and media hog Rakhi Sawant for using his name to gain publicity for her show.

We all know how bombastically Rakhi Sawant boasted about Baba Ramdev’s hotness, his ‘sexy’ tummy-deflating breathing exercises, and even went on to say that she wants to marry the yoga guru. She did this while promoting her telly show Gajab Desh Ki Ajab Kahaniyaan.

Baba Ramdev had not responded to Rakhi Sawant’s statements but when he appeared at a special episode of the telly show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs on Monday, the mediapersons asked for his reaction to Rakhi’s boast.

“Agar Rakhi mera naam leke apne show ka promotion karwana chahti hai toh yeh kaafi ochi baat hai. Ek sant ko Rakhi apna target bana rahi hai (If Rakhi is using my name to promote her show, then it’s a cheap thing to do. Rakhi is targeting a saint),” Baba Ramdev is quoted to have said.

Meanwhile, Baba Ramdev did show his singing talent on the show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs by singing patriotic and spiritual songs.

Ramdev supporters burn Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan’s posters

Baba Ramdev’s supporters today burned bollywood film-star Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan’s posters in central Gujarat’s Godhra town. They were protesting against Shahrukh and Salman’s reported statements against Baba Ramdev’s fast against corruption and black money. 

When a journalist asked why cine starts don’t support somebody like Baba Ramdev who’s fighting on national issue, Shahrukh Khan replied in his press conference in Ahmedabad to promote his film Ra.One, “I don’t support someone. I have nothing personal against this gentleman(Baba Ramdev), but I don’t know what is their agenda. As soon as one becomes politician, I think he has his own way of thinking. I think what he is saying is very good. But if you have a political party, I am apolitical by nature. I don’t align myself to it. I think he has political party now, isn’t it? Tomorrow if I go on street, if everyone go on street, I don’t think that is the right way.”

In another press interaction film-star Salman Khan said, “Huger strike against corruption that’s a dam good thing but why did they go on hunger strike against corruption. He has lots of followers, he should tell those followers not to give any money for corruption. That is one way to stop corruption. But I think also there is something about getting ‘baharka paisa’ inside. I was just watching on TV. So I hope he is successful in that. I hope he is successful.”

Section of media had presented Salman and Shahrukh’s statements widely, projecting in a way that they were totally against Baba Ramdev and his agitation. Driven by this, the followers of Baba Ramdev burnt Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan’s posters in Godhra.

Ramdev doesn't need to starve: Salman

Baba Ramdev must be gearing up to go on his ambitious hunger strike from Saturday in Delhi. The yogi aspires to ward the country off corruption by starving but the idea has baffled Bollywood hunk Salman Khan.

The actor failed to understand the need for Ramdev to go on a hunger strike. "Why is he going on a hunger strike? Isn't he a yogi teaching yoga?" questioned Salman.

"I know his intention is good, but I think there are better ways for him to stop corruption," said the star further adding, "The yogi has numerous followers across the nation. If he wants to put an end to corrupt practises, he should spread the message through them and
motivate people to stop giving bribes."

Though clueless about how a hunger strike could change a nation, Salman wished that Ramdev accomplishes his mission.
