Aamir Khan turns make-up artist!

Actor, producer and director Aamir Khan has now added another feather to his cap by turning into a make-up artist for his upcoming film. For Talaash, Aamir managed to do what no one else could do on sets while shooting a particular scene. He did make-up for a shot in the film for his co-star, Nawazuddin Siddique.

A source informs us, “What happened was, one day when Reema Kagti (director) was shooting for a scene with Nawazuddin, she wanted a bruise mark on his face as the scene required Nawazuddin to sport marks on his face. However, none of the make-up artists present could come up with the exact look that she wanted for the scene.”

Initially, Reema was not at all happy as she felt that his look wasn’t coming across as real. “The bruise was looking too done up and patchy. She did not want to compromise on it since everything in the film had been kept so real, including the shooting locations. Reema was keen on achieving a real bruised look to keep in line with the feel of the film. This made the shoot stall for about two hours, until Aamir stepped in,” the source reveals.

“That’s when Aamir came out of his van and asked why the shoot had been delayed and what’s going on. When he learnt about the problem from Reema, he asked her to just hand him a brush and a palette and let him try! Within a few minutes Aamir did something on Nawazuddin and asked Reema what she thought about the make-up," the source adds.

Much to everyone’s surprise and relief, Reema simply loved it and was ready to go ahead with the shoot. Aamir simply managed to get the real bruise make-up done,” the source further said.

No item number for Rajinikanth in Talaash

Talaash director Reema Kagti has denied that Rajinikanth is being roped in for a song-and-dance sequence in the movie -- a rumour that has left the legendary superstar's camp flummoxed.

Rajinikanth's associates have informed that he isn't amused with the news either.

Asked if Rajinikanth is turning into an item boy for the Aamir Khan-starrer, Kagti said: "Not true."

In the meantime, the iconic actor is busy with his southern project.

A source said: "At the moment Rajiniji is completely involved with every department of his new film Kochadaiyyan. He is not even looking at doing any other work. He spends all his time with the post-production team.

Rajinikanth's first item number for Aamir Khan @ Rs 15 cr

Is Thalaivar joining the item roll call? The grapevine reports that Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has agreed to appear in an item number in Aamir Khan's delayed project Talaash.

And what might an appearance of this sort by one of India's biggest stars cost? Rumour puts the price tag at a whopping Rs 15 crores, and could be one of the most expensive item songs ever. This will be the 61-year-old Robot actor's first item number.

Besides Rajini sir's fees, the song will cost the production team of Talaash a whopping Rs 50 crore.

If reports are to believed then this item number will be shot at 50 locations across 200 countries and will also feature the who's who of Bollywood, cricket legends and politicians. Talaash, which has been delayed because of Aamir Khan's TV debut, is set to release in November this year.

All in all, this will be one helluva item. We say, mind it!

Look out for Aamir Khan’s Talaash in ‘Agneepath’

Aamir Khan’s film Talaash is touted as the most-anticipated film of the year 2012. Riding high on buzz because of its ensemble star cast that includes the gorgeous Rani Mukherjee and the beautiful Kareena Kapoor, the movie’s first trailer is going to be out with Hrithik Roshan’s big film Agneepath on January 26.

So, don’t miss Aamir Khan in the first trailer of Talaash as he gets into the skin of a tough cop who investigates in style.

It is no news for the movie buffs that Aamir is sporting a moustache in the film. But the looks of Rani Mukherjee and Kareena Kapoor are well-guarded secret until you watch the first trailer of the film. The movie directed by Reema Kagti is a psychological thriller and is in its final stage of post-production.

The first look of the film is not yet out, but the excitement among the fans is also no less as there are three fake posters already doing the rounds on the internet. Co-written by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, Talaash is being made within a budget of Rs 40 crore and its satellite rights have already been sold for Rs 40 crore, that too, six months before the film’s release.

Talaash teaser with Agneepath

Filmmaker Farhan Akhtar reveals that his next production Talaash, which stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherji and is directed by Reema Kagti, is in its post-production stage. The first trailer of the film will be out with Karan Johar’s remake of Agneepath. “Talaash has shaped up very well. It’s in post-production right now.

The teaser will be out with Agneepath,” he says. Farhan who is reportedly developing the screenplay of the sequel of his 2008 hit Rock On!!, however, doesn’t feel the need to take forward the story of his directorial debut, Dil Chahta Hai (DCH), which created a rage in 2001.

“The kind of story DCH was, I feel I get a very similar kind of satisfaction when I do a film like Rock On!! or Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. It takes me back to the same genre and has the same emotional pay off, so that void doesn’t really exist,” he explains.

The health-conscious actor was recently announced as the new brand ambassador of Omran, a Japanese company that makes digital blood pressure monitors. And he is now concentrating on getting in shape to play legendary athlete Milkha Singh in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s biopic, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. “I’ve been into fitness for quite some time now, but this film has given me an additional excuse to get even fitter.”
