Dannii Minogue quits The X Factor

Dannii Minogue has decided to step down as judge on UK 'The X Factor' following a possible clash between the dates of the show and 'Australia''s Got Talent'.

The 39-year-old Australian singer, who joined the show in 2007 and mentored two winners, Matt Cardle and Leon Jackson, will be quitting the ITV talent contest just days before the new series is due to launch, reports the BBC.

Her departure fuels more speculation about the make-up of the panel, after the decision by Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole to appear as judges on the US version of the show.

She confirmed her decision to leave by posting a link through to the website mydaily.co.uk, for which she is a contributing editor, via her Twitter page.

"I am so disappointed that I can''t be a part of The X Factor this year.

"I''m going to miss the show and the amazing team who work so incredibly hard on it," she said.

"During discussions for me to return [to The X Factor] it became clear that unfortunately, this year, the X Factor audition dates in the UK clash with the live shows of Australia''s Got Talent during June and July. For this reason I am unable to return," she added.

Dannii Minogue's son controls her life

Dannii Minogue's boyfriend Kris Smith says the couple's lives are controlled by their son Ethan.

The Australian singer has a seven-month-old son with boyfriend Kris Smith, and their life has totally changed ever since they became parents, reports femalefirst.

"There are no words that could describe how it feels to be a dad. It turns your life upside down and nothing is ever the same, and you never, ever want it any other way," he said.

"Ethan dictates everything that goes on in our lives now, and he's the happiest, most amazing baby ever," he added.

Smith, 32, also revealed he and 39-year-old Minogue, who have been in a relationship since August 2008, are already considering having more children, though he admits their careers could make it difficult to manage more kids.

Dannii Minogue loves breastfeeding

Dannii Minogue is amazed at how much she enjoys nursing her first child Ethan with boyfriend Kris Smith. 
 

‘I love it. I absolutely love it. It’s the weirdest thing, because before I had the baby, when woman talked about breast feeding, I would be a bit like, whatever, what’s the big deal? Do it or don’t right?,’ femalefirst.co.uk quoted Minogue as saying.

‘But then you have the baby and every cell in your body is crying out to feed this baby. It’s an incredible thing. I don’t want to stop,’ she added.
