Elizabeth Hurley shows off her HUGE engagement ring after accepting Shane Warne's proposal

It was reported last night that Shane Warne had asked Elizabeth Hurley to marry him.

And today the glamorous mother-of-one showed off her new engagement ring after accepting the Australian cricketer's proposal.

Posing together with Hurley's son Damien at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship this afternoon, the pair looked happier than ever as Hurley proudly flashed her sapphire and diamond ring.

The stunning ring, which features a huge square sapphire and two diamonds on either side, looked right at home on Hurley's left hand.


The Estée Lauder model, 45, went for a casual look in a pair of navy jogging bottoms, jumper and scarf as she took to the golf course with Warne, who opted for a baby blue jumper and beige trousers.

Damien, nine, clutched on to his mother's arm as he posed up for a photo with Hurley and Warne, who will soon be his stepfather.

Warne is believed to have proposed in a restaurant at the exclusive Old Course Hotel in St Andrews following a romantic meal.

Warne, 42, made the declaration in front of stunned VIP guests in the hotel’s fine dining Road Hole Restaurant, sources said. 


The source said: ‘Shane proposed over dinner and it was fairly public, not a private affair. 


'It was a VIP crowd in there this evening. It was residents only, including Dunhill past players.

‘He didn’t get down on one knee, but when it was announced the other guests in the restaurant stood up and applauded.


‘Everyone there was absolutely delighted.’

A spokesman for the Scottish hotel said they were unable to comment on the news.

The couple couldn't contain their affection as they left the ground after the third match of the four-match Test series in which England beat India to take a 3-0 lead.

Clearly delighted at the home win, Liz showed her happiness with a smacker for her Australian, who was commentating on the match for Sky Sports.

And she took to her Twitter page a few hours before to write: 'Standing on the pitch watching SW spouting pearls of wisdom for Sky.....loving it. Bit nippy though.'

The actress, 45, has been slammed in recent weeks for 'emasculating' Warne in a slim, shiny-faced metrosexual.

But according to her friends, the overly-groomed new Warne is all his doing and Liz is starting to get fed up with it.

According to the Sunday Mirror, Liz was encouraging at the start and was pleased at his weight loss and that he wanted to take better care of himself.

But she has told her pals that she is now getting sick of him constantly asking her for beauty tips - and fears it's getting out of control.

A friend told the paper: 'Shane’s been asking Liz about age-defying procedures like fillers and botox and she’s found it all rather bizarre.

'He’s taking advice on moisturisers and skin peels and researching juicing diets.

Another one? But Liz and Shane didn't need any encouragement to have another smooch

'Liz doesn’t want to lose the man she’s fallen in love with but all the girly chat is getting a little tiresome. Her friends are ­finding it all highly amusing.

Liz Hurley to join 'Gossip Girl'

British actress Elizabeth Hurley is all set to join the cast of the hit American show 'Gossip Girl' as a sexy, smart and self-made media mogul. 

According to TV Line, the actress would be in be playing the role Diana Payne and would appear in a number of episodes for the fifth series of the show.

Executive producers Stephanie Savage and Joshua Safran have said that Hurley's character is "a sexy, smart, self-made media mogul and all-around force to be reckoned with".

"Diana's entrance on the Upper East Side will change the lives of all our characters - including, and especially Gossip Girl herself," the Daily Mail quoted the executive producers as telling TV Line.

"Elizabeth's sense of humour, intelligence and beauty fit the GG world perfectly. We feel very fortunate to have her," they added.

The loved up couple stood arm-in-arm wearing t-shirts from the cricket legend''s 'Spinners by Shane Warne' while posing for the cameras, reports the Courier Mail.

Warne is in India captaining the IPL's 'Rajasthan Royals' with the British actress, 45, supporting him.

Last month she was spotted in the grandstand with her son Damian and Warne's three children- Brooke, Summer and Jackson- along with his ex Simone Callahan.

Actress Elizabeth Hurley regards Hugh Grant as one of her family members and says they have been best friends since the moment they met.

Mumbai: British actor/model Elizabeth Hurley is returning to a place just a few kilometers away from where she first tied the knot with Indian origin businessman Arun Nayar a few years ago. This time though, she is coming with a different agenda: to spend quality time with current beau, Aussie leg-spin legend and captain of Rajasthan Royals, Shane Warne. She is expected to arrive in India with son Damian in the last week of April to cheer for the Royals.

It was one of those traditional Hindu ceremonies that made the Nayar-Hurley wedding the talk of the town back in 2007. Against the popular perception that the match wouldn't stand the test of time, Hurley had defied it all to get married to Nayar.

Three years later as things stand now, she's on the verge of getting a divorce and while that is still happening, Hurley seems to be coping well with her new-found love.

"Hurley will be staying at the Jai Mahal Palace in Jaipur which is only a few kilometers from Rambagh Palace, where she had got hitched with Nayar in 2007. She will be staying till the end of the tournament," sources told TOI.

There's no doubt, say sources, that once Hurley arrives in India, Rajasthan Royals are bound to be chased by the media and glitterati alike. The actor had been hinting for some time now about her India trip. In her twitter exchange with Warne, she has been taking lessons on cricket. The cricketer in turn has been setting online objective question papers for Hurley. In one of her tweets to Warne, Hurley said, "I think I'll get 10 out of 10 for rules, but 0 for players/history/magnificent feats of the past."

Obviously then, now's her time to get a little more familiar with things she doesn't know much about. Rajasthan Royals, it is learnt, have invited Hurley as their personal guest.

Hurley and Warne have been dating for more than five months now. The affair came to light after a British magazine caught them holed up in a London hotel room. Both Warne and Hurley then began clarifying on twitter about their break-up with their respective spouses.

Liz Hurley believes ’she is the woman to tame Warne’

Sydney, Feb 21 – Actress Liz Hurley apparently believes she is the woman to tame Shane Warne, reveals a friend of the actress. 

“With Shane, Liz feels like she’s found somebody she could be with for the rest of her life,” the Sydney Morning Herald quoted the unnamed “friend” as telling London’s Sunday Mirror.

“A possible husband too. She wanted fun injected back into her life – and that’s what she has found with Shane.

“It sounds like a cliche, but Liz thinks she can tame him.

“She honestly couldn’t be happier. She thinks she’s found a guy on the same wavelength. She’s got a spring in her step now and it’s great to see her full of life once more,” the friend added. (ANI)

Melbourne, Feb 06 – Liz Hurley is on her way to Australia to catch up with the spin king Shane Warne.

Hurley will arrive in Melbourne early this week and Warne is apparently making frantic preparations for his glamorous British girlfriend’s impending visit.

Cricketing bad boy has busily been re-decorating his Melbourne home, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Although he’s set to show off his home, Warne is understood to be eager to avoid the media circus.

Hurley has been reading up on all things Australia in preparation for her trip, and is expecting Warne to be her tour guide.

“If you haven’t lined up koalas and kangaroos for my next trip I shall be desolate,” she tweeted. (ANI)

A sheer shirt and a bra combination doesn’t seem to be the ideal outfit for an icy evening out, but Liz Hurley has no problems carrying it off whatsoever, and what’s more – she knows how to do it with style.

The star showed off a sheer lace shirt and bra combo, waxed denim and platform sandals on a night out in London yesterday.

Lace has been a popular fabric this year, rapidly making its way from the catwalk to the red carpet but often looks best worn with minimal accessories.

Liz had a late night at C restaurant in Mayfair last night with a friend despite having to get up early for a shoot this morning.

“Delicious dinner at Cipriani last night-then chatted to best friend til v late. 5 espressos, still can’t rev up properly,” the Daily Mail quoted her as writing on Twitter.

45-year-old Hurley would be the envy of most women half her age but reveals there is no secret to a toned figure.

“There’s no short-cut to being slim – you have to watch what you eat. I put myself under extra pressure because I still model my own bikinis,” she said.

“You must do some exercise, too. I walk every day with my dogs and try to run – even though I hate running.”
