Every holiday is a Sunday: Prachi Desai

Quite contrary to her sweet girl-next-door image, actress Prachi Desai reveals that she has a super-fun side to her. And the Bol Bachchan actor says that this side of her is out on full show especially on Sundays. “Well, I don’t really have any one day where I go all out to have fun or show that lighter side of me, but yes I have always associated Sundays with having more fun than usual,” says Prachi.

“Even as a kid, Sundays would be the most important days of my life back then, as the day meant getting to play, watch TV and no studies. The simplicity of the holiday is probably what I miss the most today as an actor, as Sundays disappear from our schedules,” adds the actor, elaborating that as an actor there are no weekdays or weekends, only ‘working and non-working days’. “So, naturally any holiday that I get now is automatically a Sunday for me,” she adds.

As for her plans for the day, Prachi reveals that she likes to catch up with her friends and that’s priority for her on her holiday. “I don’t party too much, that’s really not my scene, especially when it comes to attending film bashes, but I do enjoy get-togethers with friends. That’s when I can really let my hair down. So, I enjoy long drives and catching up on a movie. I also don’t mind chilling all day at home, because sometimes after long days of shoots, all you want to do is catch up on your sleep,” adds Prachi.

The actor reveals that she also loves to indulge herself once in a while. “That could be shopping or visiting a spa,” says the actor. Prachi reveals that though she started off her career on TV, she hardly gets any time to watch it these days. “So, on my holiday, I try to watch TV though I tend to gravitate towards movies more than shows,” reveals Prachi.

“I also love listening to music, And since it’s rainy season, if time permits I would love to head out of town. I have grown up in Panchgani and it’s always been so beautiful there, so I often plan to drive down there on Sundays, but then it's always so much to do in that one holiday that travelling is out of the question. But yes, no matter what the day, I do try to make the most of it, and live it to the fullest,” smiles the actor.

Got a '18 till I die' attitude: Sulagna Panigrahi

Sulagna Panigrahi who turned heads with daily soaps like Ambar Dhara, Do Saheliya and Bidaai, is flying high these days after her big screen debut in Murder 2.

Talking about her character she says with a laugh, "I play a 16 year old girl in the film. In real life, I have a '18 till I die' attitude as well, so it wasn't difficult to go down a few years. The most important thing about my role is that my character is a fighter just like what I am in real life."

Sulagna feels her 'karma' and luck have got her whatever she has in life today. "I believe that if I do good, I will get good returns. There's no doubt that luck plays role in the film industry too," says the 23 year old.
It is generally believed that television actors are not easily accepted in films. "I feel the audience accepts an actor depending on his/her performance. The medium doesn't matter. Actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Vidya Balan, Rajeev Khandelwal, Prachi Desai started their careers with television and today they are big on the silver screen too. In Hollywood, actors do television, films and theatre at one time, then why can't we?" she asks.

Already planning her future, Sulagna says, "I don't crave for lead roles. I want roles of substance. Currently I am reading scripts - it is important what I choose next. People have a lot of expectations from me and I don't want to let them down."

As she got her first share of fame on small screen, would she take up reality shows? Sulagna insists she isn't interested in them. "Nowadays most reality shows have become a little crass. I don't abuse in real life so I don't think I'll be able to give enough masala. Neither do I want to be part of a show like Bigg Boss where the likes of Maria Susairaj are offered ` five crore. I'd love to anchor a show, as I am talkative in real life," she says.

Sulagna loves her share of fun too. "I have fired an AK 47 and driven a tank. I got an opportunity to do all this as I come from an army background. It was super fun to do all this. I am fun-loving in real life too!"

Prachi refuses to kiss John. John to make love to Chitrangda now

Prachi refuses to kiss John. John to make love to Chitrangda nowPrachi Desai refuses to lock lips with John Abraham in next. The actor will now make on-screen love to Chitrangda Singh

Prachi Desai has turned down yet another on-screen kiss. And this time, John Abraham is the one turned down.

Abraham plays a casanova in Shrishti Arya's next, which also stars Chitrangda Singh and Desai. In keeping with the image his character demanded, JA was to lock lips with PD.

But Prachi, who has a no-kiss clause written into her film contracts, stood her ground. "Instead, a sensous track will now be shot between John and Chitrangda. This will be the first time they will be paired on-screen, " reveals the source.

Adds the source, "She isn't comfortable with screen smooches and conveys as much before signing a film." The film goes on floors shortly.

A source close to Prachi however maintains, "She is open to discussing her character as per the script demands. There's no such hard-and-fast rule from her side."
