Bollywood Actress is going pentyless...

Mumbai: Seems like going commando is the new thing in B-town. After Sonali Bendre, Shamita Shetty and Yana Gupta, Preeti Jhangiani had a peek a boo moment at a recent event.

The actress who is producing husband Pravin Dabas’ directorial venture, ‘Sahi Dhande, Galat Bande’ was caught by the lensmen in a compromising pose. The lady decided to go commando at the promotional event but seem to have forgotten about the same while sitting and interacting with the media.

A similar incident had occurred with starlet and item dance number specialist Yana Gupta who was spotted panty less at an event. Not only did it raise eyebrows but also got Yana two minutes of fame. The incident also took place right before her TV stint, which generated enough curiosity.

Shamita Shetty was infact the first of such celebrities to be snapped in a compromising pose. While Shamita decided to keep mum about the entire matter, Yana sportingly called herself the ‘no-panty girl’ on a social networking site. Soon after, actresses Neetu Chandra and Sonali Bendre were caught in the same situation. And when a cheeky lenseman informed Sonali about her faux pas, she promptly replied, "I`m happy that you saw it all". So all the starlets and ‘have-beens’ please take a note; going commando on public events where there are ample opportunities to be clicked is the easiest and simplest way to garner fame.

Preeti Jhangiani’s panty line : Wardrobe malfunction or publicity stunt?

Going daringly bare “down there” seems to be a shortcut many are taking to grab a slice of the starry pie. But does that really do the trick?

Remember Preeti Jhangiani, the actress who’s known for her one and only decent movie, Mohabbatein? She has shot into the limelight all of a sudden. The actress was caught exposing a li’l too much while promoting her recent movie, Sahi Dhandhe, Galat Bande, along with hubby Parvin Dabas. The other starlets who have born the same brunt of excessive and unsuitable exposure in the not too distant past are Shamita Shetty and Yana Gupta, to name just two. The crux of this matter is, whatever the reasons are for these unpleasant faux pas, whether it’s for gaining publicity or merely absent minded accidents, the whole process of amplifying the incident and creating a great brouhaha about it just seems so disrespectful. Some of these B-town beauties take the whole episode of wardrobe malfunction with a pinch of salt, while the others just shrivel in some comforting corner. Blowing things out of proportion is definitely not the solution and getting cheeky just doesn’t add the required spice. So we suggest these gals be more careful with their little black dresses or think of other ways of gaining attention. Meanwhile, we continue preaching…even though we know that most of it falls on deaf ears!

Preeti Jhangiani's peek-a-boo moment

It'll do Indian actresses some good if they start taking dressing lessons from their western counterparts, or at least lessons on how to sit gracefully in public gatherings while going commando...

On second thought, why go without any underwear at all? Surely it's not that hot! Or perhaps, for those who have been out of the public eye for long, it's the low-cost-airline-flight to making headlines. It catapulted Yaana Gupta to national-conversation status just before her dance show began, remember?

Bollywood seems to have acquired its own set of Lindsay Lohans and Paris Hiltons. On Wednesday, Preeti Jhangiani was in town to promote her debut film as producer, "Sahi Dhandhe, Galat Bande", with hubby Parvin Dabas, and was caught by the shutterbugs in the... err... compromising pose. While it may have been an inadvertent mistake, Preeti's name has now been added to the list of B-town ladies caught without their essentials.

It was Shamita Shetty who was first snapped bare at a public function, but it's Yaana's recent 'pantygate' at a charity event that generated maximum buzz. However, Yaana handled it all sportingly and even made jokes about being the 'no-panty girl' on her networking site and interviews. Soon after, actresses Neetu Chandra and Sonali Bendre were caught in the same situation, but both denied the oversight. However, contrary reports had suggested that when photographers told Sonali of her faux pas while sitting like that in a car, she had quipped, "I'm happy that you saw it all". Are we now? Not really!

Parvin and I never behave like husband-wife on sets: Preeti Jhangiani

Bollywood actress Preeti Jhangiani, who donned the producer's hat for her husband Parvin Dabbas's directorial debut 'Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande', says they never took their personal life to the sets.

'It can't be a husband-wife relationship on the sets. More than me, it was Parvin who was very particular about this thing that on the sets we should always be very professional,' the 30-year-old told IANS in an interview.

'We didn't discuss anything on the sets that would lead to an argument or difference of opinion. We did all that before hand and planned everything in advance. On the sets, it was a very professional producer-director thing rather than a husband-wife thing,' she added.

Coming out Aug 19, 'Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande' is an action comedy about four wrong guys trying to do the right job. Apart from Parvin, who has also written the film, it stars Anupam Kher and Sharat Saxena.

When asked what made her take a plunge into production, Preeti, who acted in films like 'Mohabbatein', 'Awara Paagal Deewana', 'LOC Kargil' and 'Aan: Men at Work', said: 'The script of the film.'

'Initially, whenever I thought about it, I always thought that I would never want to become one because it is the hardest job and it is always the producer who has to run around for everything. And the stress is too much, so I had thought that this is not for me.'

'But when Parvin narrated the story, we knew the film has to be made. It so happened that we couldn't trust anyone else with the film...we wanted to make it the way we wanted to make it,' said Preeti.

Last seen in 2007 release 'Victoria No. 203: Diamonds Are Forever', a remake of the 1972 hit film 'Victoria No. 203', the actress found being a producer is a very hectic job.

'The stress of being an actress is nothing compared to the stress of being a producer. Every single day had its downs, but then every single day had its ups also. As an actress, it's very different, you are just on the sets and you do your thing. But a producer has to take care of everything,' she said.

'This was my first time as a producer and it's a business venture. It was very different. There are times you are irritated or frustrated, but at the end of the day when you see the project, you feel satisfied. So it's all worth it,' she added.

But why didn't she face the camera for her first production venture?

'I find that very weird that just because you are the producer of the film, you have to work in the film. Parvin and I have decided that till the time we don't suit the role, we will not do it even if it's our production venture. Parvin suited the role, so he is doing it,' she explained.

And what about acting for other banners?

'I would love to act again. I just had a baby, so after some time I will look forward to doing films,' she said.
Parvin and Preeti got married in March 2008 and had their first child, a son, April 11, 2011.
