Bollywood Insider: Shahrukh, Kajol to come together in Karan Johar's next

Karan Johar, who is very close to both Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, has asked Shahrukh and Kajol to do a small role in his next movie Student Of The Year.

Karan Johar considers Shahrukh Khan and Kajol as his lucky mascots. A source told a leading daily, "For the cameo, Kajol will be attired in a long, black glamourous outfit. Karan has always considered Kajol and Shah Rukh as his lucky mascots. So this time too, for his film Student Of The Year, he wanted Kajol to do a special appearance and she readily agreed."

In the past also Kajol did cameos in Karan Johar's superhit films like Kal Ho Na Ho and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.

Alia Bhatt, daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, son of director David Dhawan, newcomer Siddharth Malhotra and Boman Irani's son Kayoze Irani are making their acting debut with Student Of The Year.

Kajols' secret to stay fit

Kajol has not only been on a strict diet since delivering her son Yug, but she's also learning new dance forms to stay fit.

So when Strut - The Dancemakers approached her to attend one of their classes, Kajol promptly agreed to not only come for the classes but also interacted with the students.

"Bhaavesh Gandhi, the person spearheading Strut, is young, talented and a very skilled dance instructor, who was previously with Shiamak Davar. I have seen him and I believe he's very good," says the actress. "Two very good friends, Ryan Stephen and writer Niranjan Iyengar own this dance school, and I am all for promoting talent and any form of education."

Apparently, Kajol has not charged a penny to have her name associated with the dance school.

Kajol at a literary do

It was family bonding time for Kajol as she stepped out for a literary do on Monday evening with sister Tanisha in tow.

Mommy's little daughter, Nysa, too accompanied them for this one. And while she was shy about getting her pictures clicked, our shutterbugs managed to catch a glimpse of her as she stepped out with a couple of books in her hand. Nysa also had some friends with her for company. Kajol, dressed in a long black outfit, was in a good mood as she chatted with the kids and joked and laughed with her sister.

Kajol, SRK, Kat in Yash Raj's love triangle

Kajol is again going to re-create the magic of romance with Shahrukh Khan in Yash Raj Film flicks to be directed by Yash Chopra after seven years. Kajol was spotted entering Yash Raj office few days back to discuss the project.

It is going to be a love triangle and Katrina Kaif will play the other lead.

The source reveals, "Chopra is very keen to have Kads opposite Shah Rukh. He is quite fond of both of them and loves their onscreen pairing. He feels that they can create the same magic."

"While it's sure that Katrina will star in the film, it could be possible that the movie is a love triangle and that they have approached Kajol to either reprise the other romantic lead or do a cameo," the source further adds.

 Yash Chopra has directed films like ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’, ‘Silsila’ and ‘Veer Zaara’. He is returning to direction after seven long years.

Mumbai, March 7 -  Real life jodi of Kajol and Ajay Devgan is one of the perfect couples of B-Town. They dated each other for a few years, and then got married. There were no controversies or rumours heard about their love life. After both of them got married, the industry predicted that Kajol won’t ever be seen onscreen again, because Bollywood is not warm towards married heroines, who generally can’t deliver a hit after marriage. Kajol’s unwillingness to face camera even for interviews after marriage, instigated the thought that she has ended her filmi careers and wont be seen again onscreen.

 

But, mother of two, knows to handle her career as well as her family together. She has delivered hits like “Fanaa”, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham”, “My Name Is Khan” after her marriage. In September 2010, Kajol gave birth to a baby boy Yug. She was shooting for Karan Johar’s film “We are family” when it was heard that she got pregnant for the second time.

Nysa, Kajol-Ajay’s first child is 9 years old. Recently, Devgan family was seen together with their newest member Yug, in Mumbai Airport on Wednesday night, after they returned from Bangkok trip. The little baby boy was in Kajol’s arms while Nysa walked holding her father’s hands.

Kajol, Tanishaa root for mom

Sisters Kajol and Tanishaa went all the way to Pune yesterday to to root for their mother, Tanuja, who was getting a tribute through her pictures at an event that was held in the city.

The doting daughters were evidently porud about their mom's feat. "I am very proud to be attending a retrospective of my mom's life being held at an art gallery in Pune where they will be displaying photos from a personal collection of her life and work. She has been such an inspiration to me and I have no words to express how excited and happy I am for her. My mom, my sister and I will be there on this glorious evening to celebrate and reminisce with her."

Toonpur Ka Superrhero Review

Movie: Toonpur Ka Superrhero;

Expectations from the Ajay Devgan – Kajol starrer animation flick was high, but it failed to impress the masses in spite of bringing together the real life couple on-screen after a couple of years and being widely promoted as the first live action animation film of the country. It is the lack lustre script which is to be blamed for the doom of the film, feel critics. And giving company to the bad script is the low budget used for any animation film in India, Toonpur Ka Superrhero included.

The story revolves around Aditya Kumar, played by Ajay Devgan, who suddenly finds himself in a world surrounded by cartoons. The place is known as Toonpur and here Aditya Kumar will have to live up to his image as a strong hero by helping the good people Devtoons to fight against the villains Toonasurs.

While the concept was good, the story clearly lacks in imagination. It is the same old stuff which has been repeated in a cartoon time and again. And since this is a Bollywood production, Toonpur Ka Superrhero has every emotion that is characteristic of a Bollywood pot-boiler. All said, India’s first live action animated film is a disappointment!

Kajol Wants To Take A Break From Films Until Her Son Turns Three

Bollywood actress Kajol has proved herself as a multitasking professional woman, who knows well how to balance her professional life as well as personal life. Kajol took a good break from films when she gave birth to her daughter Nysa in 2003.

Kajol returned with some notable movies like ‘Fanaa’, ‘My Name Is Khan’, ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’, ‘We Are Family’ after taking proper care of daughter till she turned three. Now, she has become mother again and her son Yug is just three months old. So, the doting mother has got busy with her newborn and is devoting all her time to Yug.

The adoring mother says that her babies are the most important priority in her life now. So, she wants to take a break from films until her son turns 3 years old. The 35 year old actress is finding it very tough to promote her film ‘Toonpur Ka Superrhero’ because it takes her away from her kids.

The actress says that she took up this film because it targets today’s kids, who are very smart and exposed to the outside world. She informs that they could not yet show the film to Nysa and are planning to show the full movie once the final print comes out. Nysa has watched some parts of the movie and seems to have liked it.

Well, Toonpur Ka Superrhero seems to be a gift from Kajol and Ajay Devgn to their kids. We hope to see Kajol back on screen soon but at the same time we understand her motherly instinct. So, the fans of Kajol would definitely wait for next three to see her magical performance once again.

Kajol appearance at the Lakme Fashion Week for Manish Malhotra

I've always been picky and choosy," says Kajol. "I won't do four films a year, neither am I game for a gruelling shooting schedule." That explains why she has signed just one film in the last four-odd years: Kunal Kohli's Fanaa, co-starring Aamir Khan (May release).

She had agreed to do the film because the script and the schedule matched her specifications. "The script of Fanaa makes for interesting cinema," she adds. Is she wary about possible comparisons (pre and post motherhood)?
The popular notion that married actresses are not well received by the audience is "a myth," she points out naming Zeenat Aman, Dimple Kapadia and Waheeda Rehman as examples. "Actually, such myths take root because the beauty factor of actresses has taken over other facets like talent and quality of work," she says.

"It is bound to happen," she agrees. "But good work is good work and will always be recognised as such."

On her recent friendly appearance at the Lakme Fashion Week for designer Manish Malhotra, she says: "It was a frightening but thrilling experience."

She won't talk about Fanaa, but avers that it was fun being back on the sets. "Now, I work only for fun. I guess I'm more at ease with my work today."

Soon Ajay Devgane will be back with Kajol again

Golmaal Returns is Ajay Devgan's biggest grosser till date yet the calm, composed and cool super actor is his usual self. Though he is very happy with the overwhelming response to the film, he is very much focused on his next directorial venture after U Me Aur Hum.

Ajay confirms that his wife, Kajol will once again star in the film and that there wont be too many characters in the film (ala RNBDJ; SRK too says that there are not many characters in the film.

Devgan clarifies that the film should have gone on the floors but it is taking longer than expected. Reason? Well, Ajay wants his film to be technically perfect and on par with international standards, and these things take time.
Devgan is hopeful that he wont make the same mistake that he made with (his debut directorial film) U Me Aur Hum, that of trying to play it safe in the first half and says that he wont hold back on his instincts.
