Dabanng 2 over Wanted for Salman

Salman is more inclined towards Dabaang 2 and doesn't mind to put the Wanted sequel on hold

This year Salman Khan is so busy remaking south films that he has no time for his much successful film Wanted's sequel. We have learned that though the actor is keen on starting 'Dabangg 2', he doesn't have dates for the sequel of Boney Kapoor's 'Wanted'.

According to a unit-hand Salman Khan is totally impressed by south remakes so will be shooting for all of them this year. After 'Ready' he will start shooting for Bodyguard which is directed by it's original director Siddique.

Interestingly Salman is keen to start his 'Dabangg 2' which gave him the Best Award after so many years. Reportedly the actor has also cleared all his difference with director Abhinav Kashyap.

It is also believed that one of the sequels he is doing this year is of No Entry which is a Boney Kapor production. The actor agreed to do the sequel when his character was sketched nicely. However he signed it on his terms and conditions.

Meanwhile 'Wanted 2' is more crucial for Prabhu Deva and Boney Kapoor. But Salman's busy schedule has kept the Wanted sequel on hold and miffed the director and producer.

Tanushree connects with herself

As with any other field, the field of acting comes with its own tensions, trials and problems.

In order to provide a sustained performance and enhance the quality of life, it is important for actors and actresses too to take up some spiritually rejuvenating program once in a while.

Actress Tanushree Dutta is currently attending the Isha Yoga program on the foothills of the Vellingiri Hills near Coimbatore. She said "You have such a different experience when you're by yourself. I like it. Prolonged meditation and yoga rejuvenates the mind and releases tension. Meditating makes the person feel light in spirit."

This is, apparently, the reason why Tanushree has decided to take this up, being relatively free for these 15 days with a break from shooting. Wish more of our actresses could take up this path to calm their minds and enjoy working in a relaxed manner.

Geri Halliwell understands woman’s body

London, Feb 10 – Singer Geri Halliwell believes it is important for women of all body shapes to feel comfortable in a bikini, because she knows what it is like to be different sizes.

The 38-year-old beauty is known for her changing body shape, admits her experience with dieting and the female form helped her create her bikini range for Britain’s high street brand Next, reports contactmusic.com.

‘I have been all sorts of shapes and sizes to I know the importance of flattering shapes and styles,’ she said.

‘For a great bust line, the contour at the top edge of a bikini has to be just right. And for those who need a little help, I have also designed some bikini tops with padding,’ she added.

For a woman to feel her sexiest, Halliwell believes leopard print is great for a ‘wow’ factor.

Mahie God! She's happy

The ultra-bold girl in "Dev D", Mahie Gill, has less reasons to complain in life, and says she is happy and satisfied.

Post this one film, it began to rain awards and adulations for her. And now, she has a few films in hand too. The actress, who was recently in Delhi, sounded upbeat about her upcoming movies, which are "Paan Singh Tomar" with Irrfan Khan and "Aage Se Right" with Shreyas Talpade. She says, "It's actually after a long gap that people will watch me act on the screen. But I'm eagerly waiting for the release of my films, especially because of the different look I am sporting. I hope the audience will look forward to watch me in a different avatar as compared to the films that I have done so far."

Besides acting, Mahie is a national level basketball player. She adds, "Sports is my passion. I'm eagerly waiting for the cricket world cup to begin. I hope team India wins the world cup title this time. Let's see... If time permits, I would be very happy to watch one of the matches live at the stadium." Mahie was also offered "Bigg Boss 4", but we heard that she had refused. Admits the actress, "I was sitting at home and wasn't doing much. I was waiting to do the right kind of roles. It was at this time I was offered "Bigg Boss 4". Frankly, it didn't interest me at all, so I refused." As to why it didn't interest her, she didn't share, but it seems like this pretty lass doesn't like controversies at all!

SRK's Priyanka's dearest hubby

His Zor Ka Jhatka may or may not have impressed you but it goes without saying that Shah Rukh Khan continues to rule the women's hearts when it comes to romance.

Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor and Vidya Balan. All three gorgeous actresses have time and again expressed their crush on the King Khan. Priyanka Chopra has however gone a step ahead and proclaimed how she would love Shah Rukh the most if she actually had him amongst one of her seven husbands!

It all happened on the sets of Zor Ka Jhatka. Priyanka was on the show as a guest to promote her forthcoming film 'Saat Khoon Maaf'. When asked what she would do to Shah Rukh if he too was one of her seven husbands, Priyanka blushed, "He would probably be the only husband I wouldn't kill."

Shah Rukh too reciprocated Priyanka's fondness for him by mouthing few of his famous romantic dialogues only for her.

Kareena and Vidya, buck up ladies!

Mehr Jessia's wardrobe malfunction

Though Mehr Jessia looked beautiful in a single-shoulder blue gown, she couldn't hide the faux pas when she took her seat.

It seems like it's the season of wardrobe malfunctions. So after Yana Gupta acknowledged her wardrobe malfunction and Sonali Bendre denied hers, comes the latest fashion disaster in the town.

Arjun Rampal's wife Mehr Jessia, who was known to be a supermodel in her heydays, had a fashion slipup when she attended an awards night recently. Though she looked beautiful in a single-shoulder blue gown, she couldn't carry it off as gracefully or rather hide the faux pas when she took her seat. She ended up showing more that what she might have intended to the every-ready shutterbugs.

While this doesn't seem to be an intentional publicity stunt, Mrs Arjun Rampal has certainly added her name on the list of infamous wardrobe malfunctions in Bollywood.

Raima Sen prefers Bengali Cinema to Bollywood

We wonder what's keeping this Bong beauty away from the Bollywood circuit these days.

A close friend of Raima Sen's informs us that more than socializing, the actress wants to work! And Raima isn't sitting at home twiddling her thumbs, she has her hands full with Bengali films.

Raima, who was last seen in the bold Mirch, has just finished shooting for Tanuja Chandra's Raakh where she is paired opposite Rajiv Khandelwal.

When asked her reason for being away from Hindi films, she said, "I just finished Tanuja Chandra's 'Raakh'. So if a good role comes my way, I do it. Else, there is enough and more happening in Bengali cinema. I'll be shooting two Bengali films, Chitrangada with Rituparno Ghosh and Hason Raja with Mithunda."

The actress is happy doing Bengali films as she is getting the opportunity to work with renowned Bengali directors like Rituparno Ghosh, Buddhadev Dasgupta...

Currently, Raima has returned to Kolkata where she is spending quality time with her grandmother Suchitra Sen, after a grueling schedule in Ujjain. It's not too hard to guess then where her love for Bengali cinema stems from.

Sonam Kapoor, Shahid at war

Sonam Kapoor isn't happy with the way the shooting of 'Mausam' is progressing....

Actress Sonam Kapoor seems to be getting a taste of her own medicine. It can be remembered that when Abhay Deol was a part of a movie produced by Sonam's dad Anil Kapoor, Abhay constantly complained of partiality being meted out, not having enough screen time and the likes as the shooting progressed.

Sonam faces a similar issue now while working with Shahid Kapoor in his dad Pankaj Kapur's directorial venture 'Mausam'. While some of her close friends say she isn't too happy with the way her role is shaping up, another source informs us that she is upset with the way Shahid Kapoor keeps changing shooting schedules as per his convenience.

There seems to be some bad weather on the sets of this 'Mausam'.

After Deepika, Nana says 'No' to Housefull 2

There are talks that Nana Patekar who was to do Housefull 2 has appealed to be let off...

Sajid Khan was so confident about 'Housefull' that he had already planned a sequel to the film - something he is already working on. Actress Deepika Padukone who was in Part 1 opted out of doing the sequel as she chose to do Rajinikanth's Rana, and thus didn't have dates to allocate to this venture.

Now Nana Patekar, who had said yes for the project, is backing out. The reason cited for this is his little laadla Malhar, who is all set to make his film debut with a movie that will be directed by Nana Patekar himself. And Patekar wants to focus all his energies on the motion picture in which his son will be launched.

If sources are to be believed, Boman Irani will now essay the role Nana was approached for. However, director Sajid Khan denies these rumours, and says Nana was never approached for the movie, and further stated that the casting is in progress.

With all this haan-na, it'll be a while before the casting of 'Housefull 2' is in place.

'Vinod Khanna's youngest son to enter B'wood'

Whoever said stardom is an accident, probably had not met the industrious parents of Bollywood. Refusing to let his youngest son take the easy way out, Vinod Khanna has been busy putting Sakshi through the paces – strategic public appearances and one grooming session after another.

The strapping young lad – who has obviously inherited his father's dishy genes – created quite a stir when he made his first social appearance. It was at Aamir Khan's bash for nephew Imran Khan and his bride Avantika, that Sakshi effortlessly elicited the oohs and the aahs from the misty eyed ladies. And the tongues have not stopped wagging since. It has now emerged that 19-year-old Sakshi, who is Akshyae and Rahul's step brother, has been to not one, but two grooming sessions. He first enrolled at Anupam Kher's acting school and then signed up for filmmaker Rahul Rawail's course.

Speaking about his pupil, Kher says, "Sakshi is a bright boy. I remember him as being a bit plump. But when I met him at Imran Khan's reception, he looked slim and shone with star potential." Vinod Khanna says, "Sakshi is only 19 and there is a lot of time before we launch him. But he is training hard to get into what we'd call our family profession."

Ameesha to perform at National Games

Ameesha's all set to groove to her dance numbers for the National Games opening ceremony on Saturday.

Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif graced the National Games opening ceremony last year, this time it's Ameehsa Patel's chance to sway the audience as she performs at the opening ceremony of the 34th National Games.

She confirms, "Yes, I am performing at the opening ceremony of the National Games being held next Saturday. It's an honor." Busy rehearsing her best dance numbers Ameesha has postponed her other commitments.

Besides Ameesha, actor Vivek Oberoi and singer Sukhwinder Singh will also perform at the event, while television actress Shweta Tiwari will be the anchor for the evening.

However, for the closing ceremony, there are speculations that Katrina Kaif and singer Shaan will rock the scene. We'll keep you updated on that one.

Hire Deepika to clean up your room

Deepika Padukone has her set of idiosyncrasies and one of them is that she is a cleanliness freak. This she revealed in the latest issue of Cosmopolitan. Apparently, the actress suffers from an obsessive compulsive disorder.

She stated that she gets so freaked out when things aren't kept tidily or in a particular way that it becomes chaotic. However, this OCD has won her the love of many. Every time she visits any of her friends, she gets busy tidying up their rooms, and ultimately leaving it spick and span.

So, if you need some cleaning up, simply invite Deepika over.

'Freida Pinto to star in Dhoom 3'

While the grapevine is buzzing with gossip if Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra or Katrina Kaif will land the role opposite Aamir Khan in Aditya Chopra's Dhoom:3, we have heard another gossip, which if it comes true, will certainly see a new sensational pairing.

Industry is abuzz with rumours that Adi is looking to approach Freida Pinto for the film. It will be interesting to see if Freida, who has still not been seduced to do a Bollywood movie by any of our makers, would see her big debut come opposite Aamir. A top source reveals, "There is a possibilty that Freida might debut in Bollywood with Dhoom:3.

What we hear is that Adi is quite keen to approach her for the role. As of now the actresses haven't been finalised and so the casting process is only gaining momentum. It is a known fact the Freida was very much on the radar for the Bond film and since Dhoom too has become a franchise now, they might as well root to have as many headline makers as possible.

Plus, Freida and Aamir will be an interesting fresh pairing. As of now we will only have to wait and watch how this snowballs." Freida could not be contacted for a comment and the spokesperson from Aditya's production house rubbished the news and added that the casting the girls for the film has not yet begun.

Aamir, Katrina: A couple?

Much was said about the photoshoot done by Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif. With 'Pyaasa' as its reference point, Aamir and Katrina made quite a jodi, so much so that talks about the two of them doing a film together seemed to be a good idea.

Well, Yash Raj Films, it seems, is ahead in the race in this casting coup. After having signed up Aamir Khan to play the villain in Dhoom 3, talks have it that Katrina Kaif has been signed to play his romantic love interest. So Aamir and Katrina in Dhoom 3 will be the Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai of Dhoom 2.

Spokespersons of YRF, however, claim that no female star has been signed for the project yet. Talks surfaced around one of the following - Priyanka Chopra, Katrina and Deepika Padukone - to be paired opposite Aamir. Katrina seems to have won this race. But not much can be said till the news has been officially flagged off.

Friends are family, we now know for sure. While actress Lara Dutta's busy getting her trousseau in place for her wedding with Mahesh Bhupathi this month, her Catholic friends have been meeting up behind her back to plan a surprise for her as part of the sangeet ceremony.

Every night, after completing their work, her closest pals including Deanne Pandey, Lara's sisters Sabrina and Cheryl and others make their way to a common meeting place and put on their dancing shoes. Sheila Ki Jawaani and Munni Badnaam are the fave numbers and everyone's doing their jhatkas and matkas on that said a friend who has been coordinating everyone's moves.

"We are fumbling like mad and tripping over each other. Men are worse than the women brigade though," she laughed. As the days are closing in, Lara's sure to have a feast for her eyes. Till then, there is nothing dishy about the surprise act, but it's brimming with love and 'Maca Pau' humour.

I want to make my absence felt: Anupam Kher

New Delhi, Feb 9 – Having done 400 films in a span of nearly 30 years, veteran actor Anupam Kher is staying away from the big screen. He says it is sometimes important to stay away from the cameras and lights to make one’s presence felt.

‘People ask me these days why I am not so prominently visible on screen. But I feel in life, a time comes when you don’t feel like running after work. After doing 400 films, I feel contented. Sometimes it becomes important to make your presence felt with your absence; that is what I am doing now,’ Anupam told IANS in an interview.

The Padma Shri awardee arrived in Bollywood with his powerful performance in ‘Saaransh’. From villain to funny guy to character roles, he has a variety of performances under his belt in his nearly three-decade-long career.

If he scared people as a ruthless villain in ‘Karma’ (1986) and ‘Hum’, he made them emotional with ‘Daddy’ (1989), ‘Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara’ and ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ (2007). He even entertained fans by playing lighthearted characters in ‘Lamhe’ (1991), ‘Shola Aur Shabnam’ (1992), ‘Darr’ (1993) and ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ (1995).

But nowadays the 55-year-old is not doing too many films. ‘Experience teaches a lot. After a long journey one becomes selective by default. In the urge to try and do different roles, one becomes an expert at sorting between the good and the okay roles.’w
But what keeps him busy?

‘I keep myself busy with a lot of projects – films, family, my acting school and programmes like ‘Lead India’ and now ‘Discover India with Anupam Kher’. It is important to lay the foundation and understand that at this age what is it that you want to do and achieve,’ said the actor.

Right now it’s television that excites him more as it allows him to be himself. After hosting shows like ‘Say Na Something To Anupam Uncle’, ‘Sawaal Dus Crore Ka’ and ‘Lead India’, he will return to the small screen as the host of quiz show ‘Discover India’, which will go on air Sunday on Star Plus.

‘On shows I get to be myself. I get the opportunity to showcase my real self. In movies we play characters and people identify us with them. But on shows on small screen I have the liberty to show the real me,’ he said.

Though he is looking forward to his quiz show on television, the actor rues there is a dearth of educational shows on the small screen.

‘I agree that quiz shows are not there on television now. What we see is only reality shows and the politics participants plot against each other. The market wants more masala now as we have become market driven. These shows have shown a rise in demand but that doesn’t mean one should stop attempting to make educational shows,’ he said.

The versatile actor, who also did crossover films like ‘Bend It Like Beckham’ (2002), ‘Bride and Prejudice’ (2004) and ‘The Mistress of Spices’ (2006), will be see in another such project called ‘Break Away’, which is Bollywood star Akshay Kumar’s first international venture.

‘Based in Canada, ‘Break Away’ is an emotional father-son story. It is based on Ice hockey. The film brings across the cultural differences abroad. If I have to put it directly, it is the ‘Bend It Like Beckham’ of ice-hockey. The film is directed by Robert Lieberman and stars Russell Peters, Gurpreet Ghuggi and Camilla Belle,’ said Anupam, who was last seen in the recently released ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’.

But that doesn’t mean Anupam is completely averse to Hindi films.

‘One of my upcoming Hindi films is ‘Yeh Faasle’. It will release on March 3; then I am doing ‘Game’, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani. I am also doing a film with Disney which is called ‘Zokkomon’ and lastly ‘Hawai Dada’. These are the projects that I am working on currently,’ he said.

I didn’t know my ‘enormous’ boobs would come in handy someday: Katy Perry

New York, Feb 9 – Singer Katy Perry has admitted that she used to lament having big breasts, but now they’ve ‘come in handy.’

“I was shaped like a square at one time. I was!” the New York Daily News quoted her as telling Elle magazine.

“I’m generally around 130 pounds, which is totally fine for me.

“But when I was a kid, I was the same height and weighed more like 145.

“And I had enormous boobs that I didn’t know what to do with, so I wore minimizers, which were not cute. Those thick-ass straps! I got made fun of for the over-the-shoulder boulder holder… and all I wanted was to look like Kate Moss.

“Little did I know…that these things would come in handy someday,” the 26-year-old said.
Still, Perry told the magazine that she believes “it’s important to be relatable and normal.”
“And I think that what helps with that, for me, is that I had the rug pulled out from underneath my feet so many times,” the singer said.

“It was like, ‘Listen up, b—-, you’re not going to get served this on a silver platter – you’ve got to work for it!’ I don’t feel like I can act like an entitled b—- yet! I still have so much to prove,” she added. (ANI)

Veena Malik’s secret connection exposed!

Actress Veena Malik hit fame in Pakistan and abroad when she blamed cricketer and ex-boyfriend Mohammad Asif for match fixing. But she hit fame in India when she alleged that Bollywood actress Neetu Chandra was also involved with Mohammad Asif and match fixing.

There was a huge controversy on national television and Neetu's publicist Dale Bhagwagar vehemently denied Veena's allegations and termed her a "liar". Veena and Dale were featured live on various television channels, fiercely debating the allegations.

As a result of all this hype and hoopla, both Neetu Chandra and Veena Malik were offered Bigg Boss. Veena accepted, while Neetu didn't.

The Pakistani actress entered the Indian reality show and was best known and widely discussed for her close proximity to Ashmit Patel, another of the same publicist Dale's clients.

Now after a month, Veena is being covered in international media and is looked upon as a girl who stood up for her rights in Bigg Boss. She's being perceived as a fighter, for the cause of upliftment of women; similar to what Shilpa Shetty achieved with Big Brother when the same publicist Dale Bhagwagar was handling her PR.

What's more! We thought Veena and Dale could never see eye to eye, as they were at loggerheads. But to our surprise, they were spotted together, happily chatting away at Ashmit's birthday bash some time ago.

So should we say, there's more here than meets the eye! When we questioned the publicist about this, he evaded the queries.

Fahrenheit 9/11 ‘most successful US documentary ever’

London, Feb 9Michael Moore’s ‘Fahrenheit 9/11′, a polemical film about the administration of President George W Bush, is the most successful documentary ever at the US box office.

The documentary grossed 222 million pounds worldwide.

The film focuses on subjects including the voting controversy in Florida in the 2000 presidential election and moves on to Bush’s response to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, reports the Telegraph.

It alleges close relations between the Bush family and Saudi Arabia, and suggests that members of the Bin Laden family were flown out of the US by the government just after the attacks.

Further, it goes on to look at the decision to invade Iraq and portrays sections of the mainstream media as cheerleaders in a rush to war.

The film also looks at the Patriot Act and, after discovering that some politicians hadn’t read it, Moore rides around Washington in an ice cream van reading it through a loudspeaker.
After its release in 2004, the film won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes film festival, where it received a 20 minutes standing ovation.

Its title was based on the Ray Bradbury novel Fahrenheit 451 and the movie was promoted with the slogan “The temperature at which freedom burns.” (ANI)
