Delhi Belly is not a sexual comedy at all : Imran khan

Ranbir Kapoor had opted out of Delhi Belly with a squirm, protesting to producer Aamir Khan that he wouldn’t be able to watch the film at the premiere with his parents. “I’d have no problem watching it with my mom or girlfriend. I’ve a cool rapport with my mom.”

Who says Aamir is no longer taking interest in nephew Imran’s career? After Aamir heard that Imran had performed a hugely dangerous stunt for Kidnap, Aamir called Imran home and gave him a dressing -down.

Says Imran, “It’s true Aamir was unhappy when he heard I insisted on performing my own stunt. He called me over and said, ‘You’ve to be more responsible towards yourself and your family.’ He’s right but I don’t know if I can listen to him in this case.”
Imran refutes the notion that Delhi Belly is a sex comedy. “It’s a caper comedy. But yes, the language is on the stronger side.” Two back-to-back action films, and Imran is now saying goodbye to the genre for a while. “I got no chance to do any stunts in Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na. I made up for that in Kidnap and Luck. Now in Delhi Belly I’ve no action scenes.”

Imran says the stunts always look more real when performed by the actor. “You can always tell the difference between an actor doing it and double doing it. So I’ll think about. But for now I’ve had enough of stunts. I want to take a break and do something lighter. Delhi Belly is just the break I needed.”

I got a shouting afterwards from my mom, girlfriend and Sanjay Dutt. In fact Baba phoned Aamir to complain. That’s how Aamir got to know about it. Having jumped from that high I’ve lost the fear of stunts. My next action film will have to be really big. I grew up being thrilled by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis. And I had decided, if I do those kinds of stunts I’d do them on my own. ”

What’s with all these newbies in Bollywood wanting to jump off highrise buildings? Neil Nitin Mukesh has done it in Freeze. Irrfan too has done it in Kidnap. For Kidnap and Luck I needed a bulkier role. I played a daredevil and had to jump off the 20th floor. I insisted on doing it myself although the body-double was present.

Urmila running bad time waiting for big movie

She was one of the sexy sirens of Bollywood. Apart from her super glam image, she has always been appreciated for her talented performances. But all is in the past for Urmila Matondkar. Where has all the glam and talent disappeared? Apparently, her shift to doing unconventional cinema has reflected badly on her mainstream film career.

Now when she is has no big films in hand the actress is judging television shows. Her film career has reached an all time nadir, and now she has been cast opposite tele actors in her lastest film. In her last release she was paired opposite Aman Verma. And in her latest, Urmila has been signed opposite television actor Ronit Roy in Jagmohan Mundra’s forthcoming film.

After giving films like Tehzeeb, Banaras, Bas Ek Pal, Speed and EMI no one wants to cast Urmila as the main lead. Though her films bombed at the box office she was appreciated for her performance in films like Ek Hasina Thi and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Mara . But it couldn’t help her fading career.

It is extremely disappointing to see a talented actor like Urmila not getting roles and films of her caliber. But Urmila is known to bounce back, and one hopes that the Rangeela actress will come with a brand new makeover.

She was constantly discussing whether it was safe or not to come to India. It was only after Hrithik assured her safety that she was convinced," conclude the sources.Hrithik also happened to be very tensed after he came to know about the attacks and therefore extra security will be provided to all the leading stars of Kites i.e. Hrithik, Kangana Ranaut and Barbara Mori."

Movie on Shahrukh Gauri Khan real love story

There is a lot has been made about Shah Rukh Khan and his long standing love affair with his wife Gauri Khan. So why does the actor not make a film about him and Mr. Khan?

I’d like to relate this to my upcoming film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. So no, I do not think I will make a film on my love story. As even if I did, I don’t think Gauri would act in it. She thinks I am not a good enough actor,” said Shah Rukh during an interview to an Indian website last week.

“Thank you for asking me this question. I think I have included parts of my life in many of my films. And now if I film my own love story my wife will leave me. It’s not a great love story. But even though it might be an ordinary love story it seems extraordinary to us.

Would you like to see a film on the love story of Sharukh and Gauri… do you believe others also are interested… after all it is a love story out of place.. one becoming the greatest star in India yet the marriage sustains its magic many years later.

Guru Dutt grest Actor Producer Director Choreographer of his time

Source: Wikipedia
Birth: 9 July, 1925 Bangalore
Death: 10 October 1964 Mumbai
Known: Actor,Director, Producer, Choreographer
Spouse: Geeta Dutt

Personal Life:

Guru Dutt was born to Shivashankar Rao Padukone and Vasanthi Padukone. His parents were Chitrapur Saraswats, originally settled at Panambur, a village in South Kanara district of Karnataka. His father was initially a headmaster, and then a bank employee. His mother Vasanthi, while initially a housewife, later taught in a school, gave private tuition and also wrote short stories and translated Bengali novels into Kannada. Vasanthi was only 16 when Guru Dutt was born.

Guru Dutt was initially named Vasanth Kumar at birth at the suggestion of his mother's elder brother, but after a childhood accident, he was renamed Guru Dutt, which was felt to be a more auspicious name.

Guru Dutt As Choreographer:

While Guru Dutt was hired by Prabhat Film Company as a choreographer, he was soon pressed into service as an actor, and even as an assistant director. At Prabhat, he met Dev Anand and Rehman, who both became stars.

After Prabhat failed in 1947, Dutt moved to Bombay, now Mumbai, where he worked with two leading directors of the time, with Amiya Chakravarty in Girl's School, and with Gyan Mukherjee in the Bombay Talkies film Sangram. Then, Dev Anand offered him a job as a director in his new company, Navketan, after the first movie had flopped. Thus, Guru Dutt's first film, Navketan's Baazi, was released in 1951 . It was a tribute to the Forties' Film Noir Hollywood with the morally ambiguous hero, the transgressing siren, and shadow lighting.

Guru Dutt as Director:

Baazi was an immediate success. Guru Dutt followed it with Jaal and Baaz. Neither film did well at the box office, but they bring together the Guru Dutt team that performed so brilliantly in subsequent films. He discovered, and mentored, Johnny Walker (comedian), V.K. Murthy (cinematography), and Abrar Alvi (writing and directing) and many more.

His 1959 Kaagaz Ke Phool was an intense disappointment. He had invested a great deal of love, money, and energy in this film, which was a self-absorbed tale of a famous director (played by Guru Dutt) who falls in love with an actress (played by Waheeda Rehman, Dutt's real-life love interest).

Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, a box office flop, was directed by his protege, writer Abrar Alvi, which won him the Filmfare Best Director's award. The film's star Waheeda Rehman denied rumors that the film was ghost-directed by Guru Dutt himself.[6] Guru Dutt also has his influence on his last box office smash hit Chaudhvin Ka Chand.

Some Facts about Guru Dutt:

Guru Dutt was at first mourned as a matinee idol but as the years passed, his films were shown at film festivals throughout India and the rest of the world. He made Satyajit Ray an international favorite. He also has a place in the hearts of many ordinary Indians for his song picturisations and the many vivid characters sketched in his films.
Once is quoted failure of Kaagaz Ke Phool and success of Chaudhvin Ka Chand : "Life mein, yaar, kya hai? Do hi toh cheezen hai – kamyaabi aur failure. There is nothing in between."What is there in life, friend? There are only two things - success and failure. There is nothing in between."

Populer Films by Gurudutts:

Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959), Sailaab (1956), Mr. & Mrs. '55 (1955), Aar Paar (1954), Baaz (1953), Jaal (1952), Baazi (1951), Aar Paar (1955), C.I.D. (1956), Pyaasa (1957), Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959), Chaudhvin Ka Chand (1960), Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam (1962) are the some of the popular movies played by gurudutt.
