Kim Kardashian's car was pulled over Wednesday, for a safety check in Times Square, NYC. Did the local police think she might be a terrorist? A gun-toting mobster? Who could tell, through all that smoky glass? "The cops were doing random checks of suspicious vehicles and pulled over Kim's car because the windows were tinted, an eyewitness to the situation reported, in a Life & Style exclusive. "Scott (Disick) rolled down the window in the back and said hello. The cop immediately recognized him, Kim and Kourtney and let them go without a check!" The cop was, he announced, a "big" fan.
Well, that makes sense. What did watchers expect him to do to Kim Kardashian's car—take apart the seats or search the trunk? After all, the point of the vehicle stop was to find out who was inside and what they might have been up to. Did pot smoke roll out the open window? Did the bomb-sniffer dogs go berserk? No? Then no problem.
Kim Kardashian and clan are all familiar figures on the New York scene. Once their identity had been established, the police had no further reason to detain the ladies or Kourtney's baby-daddy, Scott. This doesn't really qualify as special treatment. But it's always true that celebrity status helps with the, "May I see some I.D., please?" stuff. That's a mixed blessing, since it can work both ways, if the celeb is actually breaking the law.
Meanwhile, the real question is—why were the Kardashians on their way to the Bowlmor Lanes, as they stated, right there in Times Square. Kim Kardashian at a bowling alley? Suspicious behavior, all right.
