Technology makes Giselli Monteiro's life simpler

Giselli Monteiro, a self-proclaimed tech enthusiast, admits that technology makes her life simpler and enables her to stay connected with her family and friends.

And the techie in her was very excited when she was asked to unveil an application - Roadshow by Nokia, with the concept of 'What can you control with the Nokia N8'. This show was a sneak peek into what smart devices could let consumers control in the future through apps, and was an evidence of their limitless potential.

A mini racing zone was set up in a mall in Delhi, where Giselli was seen controlling a mini car using her Nokia N8. The application is created by Nokia and Bangalore-based developers, Divum. Giselli said, "It's great to control these mini cars through motion sensing. I was stumped to learn that the app can let me control the cars from anywhere on the planet through an internet connection. Nokia smartphones are edgy, innovative in design, but this concept adds another dimension to their functionality."

The application on this phone communicates with the mini model cars through Wi-Fi, and lets consumers control them. The work for their next project - controlling an all terrain vehicle (ATV) with the N8 - has already begun. As part of the roadshow, a contest has also been organized, where consumers have been asked to send in ideas on what they would like to control with their Nokia N8. The most innovative ideas will be made to come to life by Nokia, and the winners will get the opportunity to work on these projects with some of the leading developers in the country. If you have something in mind that you want to control with your smartphone, then log on to www.inventfuturewithnokia.com and submit your ideas.
