UK model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley knows how to use her assets to charm her way into replacing Megan Fox in the upcoming “Transformers 3″ sequel. She’ll maintain Fox’s hot quotient and bring some English sophistication to the role as well. But can she act, and does it matter?
Huntington-Whiteley, 23, is best known for her work for Victoria’s Secret swimsuit and lingerie catalogs, but in her short career, she debuted on the New York runways in 2004, she’s represented top brands.
She’s appeared in campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch, Bloomingdale’s, Clinique, DKNY, French Connection, L.A.M.B., Pepe Jeans, Shiatzy Chen, Ralph Lauren, and Top Shop among others.
She started modeling for Victoria’s Secret two years later and was named “Model of the Year” by Vogue in 2009. She has a sultry sexiness that combines wide innocent eyes with luscious pouty lips.
But can she act?
She will be playing the lead opposite Shia LaBeouf . The film is set to debut on July 1, 2011.
But can she act?
Beyond dating 44-year-old French actor Olivier Martinez, and after him, hooking up with English actor Jason Statham, 37 in April, the answer would be no. At least she has no acting credits to her name.
But in the Transformers movies the CGI generated machines are really the stars, and no one would expect Huntington-Whiteley to be anything more than eye candy.
