Pippa Middleton may have friends and family in high places, but that hasn’t prevented the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge having her car clamped.
It’s a humiliation that thousands of ordinary people face every day and will probably have come as quite a shock to the shapely 27-year-old, whose life lately has centred around looking fabulous at swanky events and adorning magazine covers.
According to eyewitnesses, Pippa’s £40,000 BMW Z4 soft-top was immobilised by a bailiff in a street in London’s fashionable Chelsea, where she has a flat.

We’re sure that Pippa will be driving around again soon. However, it may not be in the Z4 for very much longer, because according to reports the royal sister-in-law may be getting an upgrade to an armoured car.

She does carry a panic alarm linked to the police, but her parents are said to be worried that the hugely popular party planner may be attacked by a crazed fan or even kidnapped and want her protection beefed up.
Millionaires Michael, 61, and Carole Middleton, 55, want to buy Pippa a £95,000 bomb-proof Audi or BMW according to The Sun.
A source told the paper: ‘Carole and Michael have taken a raft of measures following advice from one of William's most trusted bodyguards.
‘Pippa's car will have all the latest security devices, including armour plating. It will be bomb proof.’
Since attending the Royal Wedding in April as a bridesmaid to her sister, Pippa has become something of a national obsession, not least because of her much celebrated derriere.
A Facebook page has even been set up called the Pippa Middleton Ass Appreciation Society, which urges internet users to show their appreciation for the ‘Minxy Middleton’.
One fan, MeaganR, wrote on the page: 'I want a bum like Pippa Middleton- anyone else agree after seeing her in that dress!?'
There is also a spoof Twitter account with over 3,000 followers for Pippa’s assets called @pippasass, which after the royal wedding jokingly asked: ‘'Wow what a wedding. What did people think of my Bum?’
She’s sure to find that particular profile a bit cheeky – along with the bailiff who clamped her car.
