Sarah Jessica Parker has said that she will never have a live-in nanny for her three children because she wants to raise them herself.
The 'Sex and the City' star has three children, James, 7, and two-year-old twins, Marion and Tabitha, with husband Matthew Broderick.
The actress feels it's important to be hands-on with her children and thinks only she and her hubby should be fully involved in raising them.
We don't have any live-in help. We're pretty hands-on parents, Contact music quoted the actress as telling US Vogue.
That's something that's important to both of us, and we don't shirk it, because what's the point in having a family if you're not going to really participate in it, you know? she stated.
The 46-year-old actress also believes having her children later in life means she's a bit more relaxed than she may have been if she'd been a younger mother.
I guess I think there are things about it that I hope have made me a better mother, she told the mag.
I've had a lot of opportunities to do the things that I wanted to do, like sleep. I have slept until 11 for a lot of years.
Honestly, the only thing that I'm concerned about is the energy: I hope I can maintain the energy, she added.
