The Bong beauty Rani Mukherjee seems to be the new tantrum queen of Bollywood. She has declined a role offered by Vishal Bhardwaj for his next film Daayan (tentatively titled), which will be produced by Ekta Kapoor. Daayan is a story about a man and his relationships with three women, one of whom is a witch. Sources reveal that Vishal wanted Rani to play the role of the witch. Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi has already been cast as the male lead of the movie.
The buzz is that Rani declined the offer because she did not want to work opposite Emraan. Rani is currently working with Aamir Khan, and perhaps she now wants to focus on working with big stars and big projects. Another buzz is that Ekta too is adamant about Emraan being the lead actor. After the success of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, Emraan has emerged as the hot favourite actor in the Ekta camp.
However, Rani’s spokesperson said that Rani has no reservations about working with anybody. Also, she will sign a couple of big Bollywood projects by next fortnight and thus will have no dates for Ekta. Adding to this, the spokesperson said that whether it is the serial kisser or anyone else, Rani will never question Vishal about his casting.
