Feb 22, New Delhi: Shenaz Treasurywala, an Indian actress who is also a travel writer and an Indian model has lately struck the headlines of the news and entertainment media as she bagged a prestigious role in the most popular soap opera performed in New York, USA. She will be acting as Rama Patel, a sexy, manipulative, man-eating girl in ‘One Life To Live’ soap opera, the longest running soap till date, since the last 42 years!
Interestingly, as her fortune would have it, Shenaz was in New York visiting friends after a wedding in San Diego. There her friend Poorna introduced her to her agent who in turn sent her to ‘One Life to Live’ audition! She went for it expecting no positive results in her favour. After much gruelling at repeated auditions, she actually had the offer turned down as she did not fit the role of Aubrey Wentworth for which they wanted her. Disappointed, she prepared to leave for India.
Then the wind of favour once again went calling for her and she was offered an absolutely new role in the soap. They created this role just for her since they had found something unique in her personality. She is already shooting for it since last December.
