Justin Bieber Didn’t Thank Selena Gomez In His VMA Acceptance Speech! Was It On Purpose?

Justin Bieber took home one of the most coveted moon men of the night at the MTV VMAs, but he didn’t give girlfriend, Selena Gomez one word of gratitude!

Uh oh…Is there trouble in paradise? Ever since Selena Gomez, 19, and 17-year-old Justin Bieber went public with their romantic relationship, they’ve basically been attached at the hip. They look to be totally in love, but jaws dropped when Justin didn’t include Selena in his acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs after winning Best Male Video for “U Smile.”

Even though Selena gave him a kiss on-camera and a standing ovation as he took the stage to accept his award, Justin only thanked God and his fellow nominees for the honor.

“I just want to say thank you so much. Not only to god, but to Jesus. Because I wouldn’t be here without him. He’s really blessed me. He’s put me in this position, so I want to say thank you so much. Also, I want to say thank you to all the other nominees. They were amazing. I’m a true fan of all of them, so I want to share this award with all of them. You guys are amazing!”

Sel and Justin weren’t an official couple when he did the video, but her unwavering loyalty, love and support for the pop-phenom since coupling up makes us think she deserved a shout out! Maybe it was jealousy over Selena’s presenting duties with ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner, but no one is really sure why he decided to keep Selena separated from his speech. We’ll be keeping a close eye on the two!

Movie review: 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark'

    Katie Holmes and Bailee Madison
"Don't Be Afraid of the Dark," which puts Guy Pearce, Katie Holmes and young Bailee Madison in some serious stomach-churning, can't-bear-to-watch-it jeopardy, is really, truly, very scary …

At least until about 30 minutes in, when you start to be distracted by the lack of logic in the storytelling and the fact that the nasty little gremlins responsible for all the bumps in the night can be offed pretty easily. Possibly a good sturdy broom would have been enough to clean them out along with the cobwebs in the corners of the Gothic manse where the film is set.

The director is Troy Nixey, making his feature film debut, though you could be forgiven for thinking it is
Guillermo del Toro of "Pan's Labyrinth" acclaim who is completely in charge, since his name is splashed all over the ads and the opening credits. He's the, ahem, cowriter here (with Matthew Robbins), adapting the script from Nigel McKeand's frighteningly original teleplay.

The start is properly terrifying due to Nixey's excellent sense of pacing. The story begins about a century or so ago, a time of gas lamps and horse-drawn carriages. The place is Blackwood Manor, lovely, in a foreboding, you-will-probably-die-here kind of way. Its owner is a naturalist whose research hints at unnatural forces lurking about. Children tend not to thrive under the estate's lofty gables.

Flash-forward to present day. Pearce plays Alex, a high-end architect desperate to reverse a career slide with a renovation of Blackwood. Holmes is Kim, an interior designer and his live-in girlfriend. Madison is Sally, Alex's perpetually mournful daughter. Mom's shipped her off to stay with her distracted dad, basically telling her to buck up any time the kid phones home.

It's a tense time, and not just because of the strained family relations or the disturbing talking teddy bear Kim gives to Sally. The house is still a major mess. There's a make-or-break dinner with Architectural Digest looming. What's more, they've just discovered a door to the creepy basement behind a fake wall, and someone keeps whispering through the heating vents: "Salll-yyyyy, Salll-yyyy." (Why a noted architect would not be interested in the very architecturally interesting basement is just one of many lingering questions here.)

Soon enough, things get worse, and not just for Alex, Kim and Sally but also for Pearce, Holmes and Madison. This is where the creaky narrative with all its missing pieces really gums things up. It's too bad, since Nixey rides some moments to electrifying extremes. Director of photography Oliver Stapleton ("The Cider House Rules") captures all the haunting beauty of Blackwood Manor, which production designer Roger Ford (Oscar nominated for his work on "Babe") has made so eerie.

If only the characters were as well drawn. Pearce, the man in the maze of "
Memento," knows how to work a mind game when he's given one, but there's just not enough here for Alex to get lost in. Likewise, Madison ("Bridge to Terabithia") is graced with soulful eyes, but her Sally lacks the kind of real heart that might have helped us truly fear for her safety as she gets sucked into all the places where the wild things are.

Holmes is there for a little eye candy and a little stepmothering (the good, not the evil, kind), but frankly, she's usually more arresting in celebrity magazines than she is on-screen. And the critters — they are much better before we see them. Once you know what Alex, Sally and Kim are up against, the fear gives way to boredom, then frustration when they don't get the job done.

I do hope that "Don't" doesn't do Nixey in, as he has a real knack for staging high anxiety. For Del Toro, the question is, what happened? And I don't mean to Sally.

Meet 'Don't Be Afraid of the Dark's' young star, Bailee Madison

Perched on a couch with her legs tucked under her, 11-year-old Bailee Madison was excitedly recounting her time filming the new movie “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” when her mother leaned over a banister in their Toluca Woods home and shouted: “Can I interrupt?”

“Bai,” began Patricia Riley, halting her daughter's interview, “I think you should tell her about Alex's Lemonade. Because it's really cool how your little friends are helping with your charity.”

Bailee paused, seeming momentarily frustrated by the suggestion. But within seconds, a smile was back on her face and she started extolling the virtues of a charity focused on childhood cancer for which she is a national spokesperson.

“Something my mom and I have always said to each other is: ‘We’re not here for interviews. We’re not here to get your picture taken,’ ” the soon-to-be sixth-grader said. “ ‘We’re here to make a difference, and this is our opportunity to.’ ”

These days, though, Bailee is in fact sitting for plenty of interviews and photo shoots, and seems to have a preternatural poise that many industry veterans would envy. Then again, she’s already got more than a decade of experience in front of cameras — she appeared in her first commercial at only 2 weeks old and had a recurring role on Disney Channel’s “Wizards of Waverly Place.”

On the big screen, she’s worked alongside some of the biggest celebrities in show business — Adam Sandler in “Just Go With It,” Natalie Portman in “Brothers” and now Katie Holmes in “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark,” a horror film that opened Friday.

Endlessly perky, distractingly adorable, incredibly well-behaved and devoutly Christian, Bailee fields questions with an adult aplomb. Ask her whose career she hopes to emulate, and she responds:
Bailee_madison2 “I’d like to follow in the footsteps along like Jodie Foster and Natalie Portman, who got their education.”

With whom does she dream of costarring in a film?

“I would love to have the honor to get to work with Meryl Streep. I love her and I love her work.”

To whom does she credit her success?

“It’s all just been such a team effort. And I take all the credit to God and my family.”

Bailee and her mother — a former actress who appeared in over 300 commercials — do seem particularly close. Though her room has a bed overflowing with stuffed animals, Bailee still opts to sleep with her mother every night. And she says that when she wanted to film a testimonial video for the website I Am Second — meaning God is first — it was her mother who gave her the confidence to do so.

“It was just a video saying how I became close to the Lord, and when I did it, my mom said, ‘A lot of people might judge you.’ But we decided that this was my faith, and I knew I was ready to go out there and show it.”

Riley accompanies her daughter on every set — be it in Los Angeles or Australia, where “Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark” was shot. Though Holmes lends the film its star power, it’s really Bailee who carries the movie. She plays Sally, a young girl who moves into an old mansion that her father (Guy Pearce) and his girlfriend (Holmes) are renovating. Quickly after unpacking her bags, Sally begins to discover the house is haunted by monsters who stalk her every move. She tries to convince her family of the creatures’ existence, but to little avail.

The role required Bailee to act terrified in nearly every scene, working herself up into fits that involved screaming and crying. But that acting challenge didn’t seem to faze Bailee, said Guillermo del Toro, who co-wrote and co-produced the film.

“Child actors always can come full of vices, with parents that constantly try to cattle prod them into being cute because that’s the way they got a yogurt commercial or a cereal commercial,” said the filmmaker. “Bailee is the best kind of actor. She doesn’t act. She’s in the moment. She came very highly recommended by Natalie Portman. … She said to me, ‘If you want an actress in that role who can give and take, this is the girl.’ She was 100% right.”

Bailee said she took a practical approach to preparing for the part. To ready herself for one scene in which Sally is harassed by the creepy spirits while taking a bath, she hopped into the tub in her hotel room and asked her mother to turn off the lights.

“My heart started beating. So I was like, ‘Just imagine that feeling with creatures coming after you,’” she recalled. “I remember them asking me if I wanted to use [artificial] tears, but I was like, ‘You know what, I’m gonna pass on that.’”

During production, Holmes took Bailee under her wing, often inviting the child actress to accompany her on outings with her husband, Tom Cruise, and young daughter, Suri. Holmes, 32, said she simply related to Bailee, then 9, as a fellow adult actor.

“She is very focused and she has clear ideas about how she wants a scene to go. It doesn’t feel like you’re working with someone” so young, said Holmes. “We definitely stay in touch and whenever she’s in L.A., we get together. I tell her about projects I’m going to do and she tells me about projects she’s going to do. It’s the same dialogue I have with any actor.”

Bailee admits that nearly everyone she encounters remarks that she seems like a grown-up trapped in a kid’s body. “I really don’t know why they say that, but I take it as a compliment, because as a 40-year-old you have experienced so many things in life and you’re so mature,” she said.

Bailee insists that she is still very much a child, referencing her “blankie,” swing set and affinity for cuddling while watching television as evidence. She is enrolled at a private Christian school affiliated with the United Methodist Church in Florida — where Riley is from and where her family keeps another home — though last year she was able to put in only six weeks of classroom time due to her schedule. (The rest of her schoolwork is completed on set with the assistance of tutors.)

As Bailee’s acting gains more notice, her family is helping sift through the scripts that have been pouring in. But Riley isn’t worried about her daughter’s ability to stay level-headed growing up in Hollywood.

“There’s never been a worry about Bailee. But I sometimes worry about the decisions I’m making. Like, ‘Do I take her home and have her play tennis?’” she admitted. “If I ever see her change, she knows we’re going home. But she’s kind. She’s polite. She’s sweet. And nothing, I think, has changed. But she knows if it does, there will be a U-Haul right outside, and we’re out of here.”

Ghost tours offered at Kate's Kensington Palace

Tens of thousands have toured Buckingham Palace to see Kate Middleton's wedding dress, and soon tourists will get the chance to poke around Kate's part-time home at Kensington Palace for a Halloween ghost tour.

The Daily Mirror is reporting, and the Kensington Palace website confirms, that the palace where Prince William of Wales and his bride, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, live when they're in London will be open for ghost tours for four nights on the Halloween weekend, Oct. 28 to 31. Kensington is where William lived with his mother, the late Princess Diana, along with an assortment of other royals over the centuries, some of whom are said to haunt the 400-plus-year-old palace.

The Eerie Evening Tours of the Enchanted Palace will last an hour and half each evening and cost about $33 per person. Kensington is open every day for tours.

But there's no guarantee the palace ghosts will cooperate. Many crumbling English palaces and estates are said to be cluttered with spooks; Kensington is said to be haunted by the spirit of (among others) the formidable figure of Queen Mary, the consort of George V and William's great-great grandmother.

"Stories collected in the warders' log book over the years include numerous reports of screams, bumps and ghostly sightings," the Mirror reported.

Even if tourists see ghosts they will not get to see William and Catherine's apartment. Most of the time, the couple live in a rented farmhouse in Wales near his Air Force base where he is a helicopter rescue pilot. For their London residence, they were assigned an apartment cottage on the grounds of the palace, which was acquired for the crown by the Stuart Queen Mary II and her husband King William III, in 1689.

Meanwhile, Kate's wedding gown, on exhibit at Buckingham Palace, has drawn scores of extra visitors (and raised millions of dollars in tour fees) to the already popular palace tour, which takes place annually in late summer when the royal family decamps to their Scottish estate for holiday.

I Like Cheese Gorge: Sonal Chauhan

Most people had the same reaction when they saw this slender and tall beauty dressed in a black outfit - 'she is the same girl for whom Emraan Hashmi broke the glass in the film Jannat!'

It is none other than Sonal Chauhan about whom they were talking. She looked fresh, lively and vibrant. "In real life also I like things that are larger than life. I am single but I would surely want a guy who does something like what Emran did for me. I don't believe in mediocre stuff," she says.

In Ahmedabad for a promotional tour, unlike her counterparts she just didn't talk about Gujarati food but also sampled it. Khandvi, khaman, sandwich dhokla and Chinese samosa were all laid on the table for her. "Being a Delhite I have tried Gujarati snacks in Delhi but the taste that Ahmedabad gives, can't be compared. I have friends in Mumbai who are from Ahmedabad. It feels good to be here," says Sonal who's earlier come to the state during Navratri.

Now Sonal has all the reasons to smile. Talking about her experience of working with Amitabh Bachchan in Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap, she says, "I feel it was sheer good luck that I got to work with him. It was an amazing feeling to work with a legend like him. Not everyone gets such a chance and that is why I can't stop thanking God enough," says Sonal who is busy with a jewellery show, a romantic untitled Bollywood film and South films.

We are sure she has now pushed her limits and would definitely want to work with the three Khans - Shah Rukh, Aamir and Salman. "There are lots of actors that I want to work with. The list is long," she laughs.
Today many films are being directed by newcomers. So is she open to working with them? "I think it is an advantage to work with young directors. They relate to today's youngsters. It is good to see so many talented people making such wonderful films. The connection with the audience is also much better," she avers.

Compliment her on her fabulous body and she says it's all in her genes. "No one believes me, but I'm a complete foodie - I love to gorge on cheese, fried food, chicken and chocolates. I have never gone on a diet. I do work out but don't really follow a daily fitness routine. It is all inherited and I wish I can stay like this and eat everything without thinking twice," she laughs.

Sonal loves to unwind after her hectic schedule by pampering herself and believe it or not she's fascinated by snakes. "I love to pamper myself by going for massages. Not many know but I love snakes. I am fascinated by them. I'll probably be scared of them when I see them in a jungle, but otherwise I am okay with them," says Sonal on a parting note.

Dabangg Girl Sonakshi Sinha denied to work with King Khan

Dabangg Girl Sonakshi Sinha says she has neither signed a film with superstar Shah Rukh Khan or with actor Ranveer Singh.

"I haven't signed any film with Shah Rukh Khan. I had also read the news somewhere but I haven't signed any film yet," Sonakshi told reporters at Ambience Mall, where she had come to launch the new range of Puma running shoes.

Rumours were abuzz that Sonakshi has been cast opposite King Khan in Abhinav Kashyap's next, a love story set in Australia.

Reports also suggested that the 24-year-old has been roped in star with actor Ranveer Singh in Yash Raj's new film. Sonakshi denied this too, saying she is "not doing any film with Ranveer".

Meanwhile, one-film old Sonakshi is on cloud nine after having six films in pipeline. She is shooting for Shirish Kunder's "Joker" and is about to start shooting for "Rowdy Rathore", both of which stars Akshay Kumar.

She then as "Race 2" and "Son of Sardar". She is also doing "Dabangg 2" and "Kick" with Salman Khan.

    Advance Drama For Bodyguard

Even though the Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor starrer " Bodyguard" is keenly anticipated this Eid, it seems that the advance bookings for the movie haven't exactly seen the kind of start that Salman and producer Atul Agnihotri had imagined.

On Sunday, advance for the movie opened only at PVR and single screens in the country, but at no other multiplex. The reason yet again was the breakdown in discussions between the distributor, Reliance Entertainment, and the Multiplex Association of India (MAI). While the multiplex chains are trying to get the movie and open advance bookings at the terms agreed upon a fortnight ago, the distributors are trying to push through a multi-film deal for an English movie release along with "Bodyguard" and at new terms.

A source tells us, "Everywhere in the country, at all the multiplexes, advances have been put on hold. Reliance is trying to push through a multi-film deal. They are saying that you also ensure release for our forthcoming English films, and are asking for new terms. It is only then that they will they give "Bodyguard" for release to the multiplexes. This is in breach of the agreement that was done between MAI and the Producers Guild a fortnight ago for terms for Hindi movies. Even though the agreement was done verbally at that time, everyone had agreed to the new terms and that agreement is being worked out now. But the distributors for "Bodyguard" are suggesting their own deal now."

And the buzz in trade circles is that Salman and Atul are both unhappy with the development since they were expecting advances to open on Sunday. Adds the source, "Even though Salman is traditionally thought of as a single screen hero, the truth is that no one can ignore multiplexes, especially after the business that they had generated for "Dabangg"." Producer Atul Agnihotri said, "I'm only concerned with the promotions and not distribution. You should ask the distributors about this. I have got reports about advance opening at places like Delite from Delhi. And negotiations always happen between the two parties. I don't have any more info on this." However, the news is that Mukesh Bhatt is mediating between the distributor and the exhibitors for the movie to release without any hassels.

Utpal Acharya, head, acquisition and distribution for Reliance Entertainment, says, "We have a commercial agreement, under which I am exercising my distribution strategy. This simply means that under the agreement, they can choose the total number of shows they want to give a movie, while I can choose which all locations I want the movie to play at. There is a problem in that that these guys have. We also have some past issues of financial clearance with them and we were not happy with the way they showcased"Singham". We want "Bodyguard" to release in each and every theatre, and are still open to negotiations."

According to a source, other multiplexes too have opened advance bookings. Till Sunday night only PVR had opened advance bookings. Wave and INOX may open bookings in some hours, but DT Cinemas, Satyam have not and they haven't signed the movie yet.

Salman Khan leaves goes to US for treatment

Bollywood actor Salman Khan on Monday night flew to the US for treatment for an acute neurological condition ( trigeminal neuralgia). The actor on his way to airport tweeted - "Chalo guys am on my way to fix the short circuit in my nerve. (sic)" Salman had earlier postponed his plans to travel to the US for treatment due to Hurricane Irene.

Salman will undergo two surgeries within four days and miss action in Mumbai for almost a month. According to a source close to the family, "the first surgery is likely to take place on August 30 and after a gap of four days a second one will be done."

The actor was first scheduled to leave for the US on Saturday but had to postpone it due to cancellation of flights because of Hurricane Irene. Salman, who will miss the release of his new film 'Bodyguard' this week, said he is an extremely painful condition. He confessed that there are times when he starts screaming in pain. "While shooting for Partner seven years ago, Lara Dutta touched the right side of my forehead. I felt I had been struck by an electric current," he said. He has been on painkillers ever since. "I just can't bear the pain anymore. Even talking or eating's unbearable," he said.

The decision to get the surgery done was taken after consultation with a team of doctors in Mumbai. Salman said, "We don't have the equipment nor the expertise for my nerve problem which has forced me to go abroad for the surgery."

At the same time the actor is feeling bad that he will miss the Ganapati festival. The Dabanng star who is known to promote his films release in a big way had earlier planned to travel to various cities for the promotion of 'Bodyguard'. A source said that "there were two premieres planned in Delhi with security forces and guards which had to be cancelled because Salman is going away."

The actor is being accompanied by his two brothers Sohail, Arbaaz and sister Alvira Agnihotri. After he recovers from the the surgery the actor said he will fly to Dublin to shoot for Yash Raj's film 'Ek Tha Tiger'.

    Why celebs supported Anna Hazare?

    John Abraham
They say there is always another side to every story.

As we see the 'face of the nation', Anna Hazare getting open support from various Bollywood celebs, it makes us wonder what brought them to the center stage of this political uprising. B-Town bigwigs Aamir Khan, Raju Hirani and Om Puri were present at the Ramlila Maidan, Delhi, while others like John Abraham, Vidya Balalan, Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Celina Jaitley, Udita Goswami et al, were supporting Anna's fight against corruption directly or indirectly in various cities.

So, what's the agenda behind the celeb support for Anna? Are these stars cutting a piece of cake for themselves? Says Kailash, "When you see these stars, it's visible that they are fake, that they are fooling people and are doing it for the sake of free publicity. I have never seen people changing colors like that." But then he diplomatically adds, "In India the system breaks you and your spirit. And this makes people think why should I initiate a process. With Anna taking such a strong stand, it has given people hope to fight for a cause, something to fall back on when they want to take a stand against something."

There also surfaces a subtle divide within the hitherto united 'big family' - the Hindi film industry. Even as Anupam Kher, (who played the ideologically upright headmaster in Saaransh) came out to support Anna, the man who made the movie and his former mentor, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt opposed Anna's stance. On one hand, we had Aamir making his positive presence felt, and Salman's bodyguards beat up Anna supporters on the other.

While Amitabh Bachchan and Shekhar Kapur openly supported Anna on microblogging sites, Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar were skeptical and Ram Gopal Varma even pretended ignorance about Anna! And then there were some who suddenly resurfaced from almost anonymity (like Raja Bundela, Sambhavna Seth, Raghubir Yadav) to ensure that they championed the most talked about cause of the moment. With their movies up for release, you could see some star casts in the front row of the protest rallies.

There was John Abraham breaking "dahi handis of corruption"as he put it during Janmashtami celebrations, Vishal Dadlani and Raghu Ram bragging about their 'participation in the Mumbai rally to support Anna' on social networking sites, and Vidya Balan, Shreyas, Bipasha, Udita and Celina in their Anna topis, Rakhi Sawant berating Team Anna, Jacquiline Fernandez refusing to support Anna - every celeb wanted a piece of Anna.

But do these celebrities really need to be out there in what it is being called the common man's revolution? Udita says, "I feel celebrities should stay away from the entire campaign. If this is a common man's uprising then it should remain like that and with Bollywood celebrities appearing on stage, the focus inadvertently shifts to the glamour they automatically bring in." But the ways and the cause is again appreciated and supported, she says, "It has definitely made a difference as we in India have become used to bomb blasts, but a man fasting has stirred the whole nation."

Opportunity knocks only once on your God forsaken door and it's wise to make use of it. However, to say that exactly that's what is happening will be drawing your own conclusions, but also there is no smoke without fire. Anna is surely fighting for one cause we all have got affected with at least once in our lifetime and actress Shital Shah sums it up best when she says, "I am happy that Anna managed to raise a very pertinent issue and sensitize the masses to it. What team Anna has come up with may not be foolproof and it would require some time on the part of everyone to bring out a bill that is in the best interests of the country." Chips in Celina, "Sometimes a change needs a revolution and the stand against corruption has brought every citizen of this country together just like we stood against the British. Celebrities supporting a good cause is important because we are all in our own ways role models to someone or the other. Mostly the youth in India needs the correct motivation."

With the impact of Anna being all-permeating at the moment, for many celebrities, it was also a chance to be in the arclight once again, so they seized the day to get every Anna's worth of publicity that can only help them professionally in the long run.

    Sofia Coppola ties the knot

Sofia Coppola has married Thomas Mars.

The 'Lost in Translation' director was wearing a custom-made lavender bridal gown as she tied the knot with the musician in Italy yesterday on her dad Francis Ford Coppola's estate in Bernalda in front of around 80 guests, including Johnny Depp and George Lucas.

Village mayor Leonardo Chiruzzi, who performed the ceremony, explained the occasion "went well".

He said: "Everything went well. It was simple, calm, in the garden. If they wanted to do a Hollywood wedding, they wouldn't have done it here. They chose to do it here because it's here - it's here that is beautiful."

'Godfather' director Francis was previously said to be renovating his property for the nuptials, with the ceremony set to mark the end of his rebuilding.

His great-nephew Gaetano Russo explained: "The ceremony will mark the end of renovations at the palace, which will soon be inaugurated as a resort, open to the public."

Sophia - who has two children, Roma, four, and 15-month-old Cosima with Thomas - used to be married to 'Being John Malkovich' helmer Spike Jonze between 1999 and 2003.

Ghostbusters 3 to shoot next year?

    'Ghostbusters 3' will shoot in 2012 .

Dan Aykroyd - who wrote and starred in the previous two movies as Dr. Raymond Stantz - confirms there is a schedule in place for the film, and he hopes Bill Murray, who has previously said he hasn't read the script despite having been sent a copy, will eventually sign up."

He said: "Yes, we will be doing the movie [next year] and hopefully with Mr. Murray. That is our hope. We have an excellent script."

Oscar-nominated Dan also confirmed any third film would eventually lead on to a rebooting of the series with a number of new actors.

He said: "What we have to remember is that 'Ghostbusters' is bigger than any one component, although Billy was absolutely the lead and contributive to it in a massive way, as was the director and Harold (Ramis), myself and Sigourney (Weaver). The concept is much larger than any individual role and the promise of 'Ghostbusters 3' is that we get to hand the equipment and the franchise down to new blood."

Dan also revealed further script details, adding all of the characters have developed health problems.

He said: "My character, Ray, is now blind in one eye and can't drive the Cadillac.

"He's got a bad knee and can't carry the packs. Egon is too large to get into the harness. We need young blood and that's the promise. We're gonna hand it to a new generation."

Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries back from honeymoon

Newlywed Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries return to Los Angeles Airport after celebrating their mini honeymoon for just a week after tying the knot on 20th August.

Minissha Lamba held captive by Hurricane Irene

A Bollywood actress has been held captive by Hurricane Irene which struck the US East Coast Sunday. Minissha Lamba, who is in New York for an India-US cultural event, is stuck on the 22nd floor of a hotel and is likely to remain there till the hurricane blows over and air services are restored.

Speaking on Sunday morning from Radisson Hotel in New York, the actress said: "It's really scary out here. For 36 hours, the entire New York will have to stay indoors. A state of emergency has been declared."

"Everyone is in their homes. As I look out of my hotel window, I see a deserted street down below. Can you imagine New York without traffic? It's like a scene out of Armageddon."

"I am all alone here. My stay has been extended for a week. I had no choice. The airports are shut. All flights are cancelled. Half of New York, New Jersey, Staten Island have been evacuated. I can't return," she said.

Curiously, just before she was to leave for New York, Minissha had been getting phone calls asking her to cancel her trip.

"Now I wonder if the caller had a premonition and was trying to warn me from travelling into catastrophe. I hope I can return the soonest possible. Maybe I should just enjoy Irene's company. She's my first hurricane. I believe first hurricanes are like first love. You never forget it."

First look of Agneepath unveiled in Mumbai

Twenty-one years after the original that starred Amitabh Bachchan made waves, producer Karan Johar has come up with its remake, starring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt. Agneepath is directed by Johar's former assistant Karan Malhotra. The original was produced by Karan Johar's father Yash Johar and directed by Mukul S. Anand.

Hrithik essays the role of Vijay Deenanath Chauhan, while Sanjay Dutt plays the role of Kancha Cheena. Bachchan and Danny Denzogpa played these roles respectively in the first avatar. Chopra plays the female lead in the film, which also stars Rishi Kapoor and Om Puri.

Accroding to KJO, this film is a tribute to his father and director Mukul Anand. Agneepath hits theaters on January 13, 2012. Reports say the character played by Mithun Chakraborty has been totally done away with in the remake.

The film's title was taken from a poem penned by Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Bachchan's father, and which is recited at the beginning of the original movie and creates a thematic link that continued through the movie, particularly in the climax, both literally and metaphorically.

Bachchan and Chakraborty received the National Award for Best Actor and Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award respectively for their performances. The film had failed commercially at the box-office, but Bachchan's performance was praised. Agneepath is considered a classic.
