Story: A gang of school kids see themselves as the local dadas of their neighbourhood. Their biggest bugbear is that they always lose the cricket match while playing against the rival team. Things turn for the better when the new orphaned car wash boy gives them their first victory. But before they can savour their victory, another threat looms large. The local politician is determined to do away with all street dogs from Mumbai, which means the car wash boy will have to give up his pet dog. Can the gang save their best friend's pet?

Movie Review: What can you say about a film where the first half is spent with a bunch of kids trying to trouble a poor kid and his dog and the entire second half has them trying to save the dog from the infamous dog van.

Okay, the kids are occasionally cute and give you some moments here and there to smile. Specially when they begin to adopt the style and the language of the tapori kid and shock their parents completely. But after a point all their meanness and sweetness ceases to entertain. On the contrary, the total lack of a story line seriously tests your patience.

Wonder how restless kids will watch Chillar Party? Filmmakers need to realize Indian tweens are extremely smart and fed on a regular diet of Cartoon Network and roller-coaster Hollywood kiddie's flicks. You got to have a story, adventure drama and pace. Or else....

Gwyneth Paltrow sells lemonade, cookies

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow was seen selling lemonade with her kids to help raise funds for an animal welfare charity.

Paltrow and her daughter Apple, 7, and son Moses, 5, stood along with a group of other children near a stand and they were seen selling lemonade and chocolate chip cookies, reports people.

There was also a handwritten sign taped over a cardbox that said, "Lemonade and Snacks 1 pound each, Mony raised to RSPCA."

The RSPCA, or the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, is Britain's largest animal welfare charity.

Supermodel Claudia Schiffer has launched a fashion company in a bid to create a lasting legacy that she can pass on to her children.

"I don't want this to be a celebrity line. It is meant to be a lasting business not a quick celebrity licensing line... I want the product to live without my name so that it does not really need me. As a company, I hope it builds up over time so that one day, hopefully, I can hand it over to my children," dailystar.co.uk quoted her as saying.

Brad Pitt supports gay marriage

Recently New York became the sixth state to legalise gay marriage in the US. On the heels of this development, Hollywood actor Brad Pitt said every American should have the right to marry whoever they want, and supported the new legislation in favour of same-sex marriage.

He even said that he won't wed Angelina Jolie until gay marriage is legal everywhere. "I have love in my life, a soul mate. When someone asked me why Angie and I don't get married, I replied, 'Maybe we'll get married when it's legal for everyone else.' I stand by that, although I took a lot of flak for saying it — hate mail from religious groups. They say gay marriage ruins families and hurts kids. Well, I've had the privilege of seeing my gay friends being parents and watching their kids grow up in a loving environment."

Kristen Stewart is none too pleased with chatter linking her and Casey Anthony, the 25-year-old Florida woman acquitted this week in the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee.


"Her people are really annoyed about the Casey Anthony comparisons," a source tells Us Weekly of the Twilight actress, 21, who shares the same brunette locks and brooding eyes as Anthony, who is expected to go free within weeks.


"Kristen wants that talk to blow over soon, because it looks really bad."


Don't expect Stewart to portray Anthony in a flick anytime soon. "She would never for no amount of money portray that girl," the source says. "It's grossing her out. All those entertainment shows are doing polls and what not and her people just want it to stop!"

London: ‘Harry Potter’ star Rupert Grint has revealed that he celebrated the end of the wizard series by gifting himself a 60-pound Vauxhall Carlton.

Grint, 22, who has a 24 million-pounds fortune, said that when filming wrapped on the final JK Rowling movie, ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2’, he treated himself to the car and headed off around Europe with mates in a ‘Wacky Rally’.

“We did about nine countries, all the way to Barcelona,” the Sun quoted him as saying.

“I went with James and Oliver Phelps, who play the twins, and we brought a mechanic along as well. It was a really good adventure. I do love cars but nothing too flashy,” he added.

Freida Pinto surprised by James Franco’s ‘unique’ acting style

Washington: Indian actress Freida Pinto has revealed that she was surprised by actor James Franco’s “unique” acting style.

Pinto, 26, who stars alongside Franco, 33, on ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes’, said she was at first taken aback by his methods, but later learned a lot from him.

“He’s got his own unique and distinctive style of acting. It’s not conventional at all,” Contactmusic quoted her as saying.

“It does take you by surprise initially, but it’s all about being flexible and trying to understand how another actor works.

“I found a lot of things in his acting style that I could pick up and learn from,” she stated.

Mumbai: In Bollywood, on-screen kisses have always created huge ripples. And when the two stars are Katrina Kaif and Hrithik Roshan, then it is bond to generate quite a curiosity.

Katrina and Hrithik’s liplock in ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ reportedly is the longest ever smooches in the history of Bollywood. However, the actress is completely unperturbed.

Talking to a daily about her on-screen kiss, Kat said, “Why give it so much importance? I don’t feel the sequence is even worth talking about. People won’t watch the film only for the kiss, I can promise you that. Personally too, I don’t give it any attention. People will come only if they are interested in the film, like the promos, or if they like the vibe of the film. It’s part of an actor’s job.”

Apparently, this is not the first time the actress has locked lips in a flick. Katrina’s steamy kiss with Gulshan Grover in ‘Boom’ (2003) was deleted from its DVDs.

However, Katrina Kaif is excited to share screen space with Greek god Hrithik for the first time in her career. “He is an amazingly talented person. I always wanted to work with him and I’m happy to have got the opportunity now. You can really learn a lot about focus, concentration and dedication from him,” she said.

Priyanka to romance SRK in RA.One

After sizzling in Don and Billu Barber together, Priyanka Chopra is back with Bollywood heartthrob SRK in RA.One. The actor would be shooting a romantic dream sequence in the film. A source close to the film told Mumbai Mirror, “It’s a long-drawn romantic sequence. It can be actually called a cameo by Priyanka. It will require her to perform a lot of stunts as well. RA.One is essentially a fantasy film, and this is sort of a sweet dream sequence."

Priyanka’s costumes would most likely be designed by Manish Malhotra who'll create a larger-than-life look for her.

Piggy Chops reportedly cut her London trip short when SRK approached her for the scene.

SRK and Priyanka share a great working rapport and have of late become close friends off screen as well.

The source added, “Shah Rukh is extremely comfortable working with Priyanka. Having worked in Don, Don 2 and an item number in Billu together, they share a great working rapport. However, he did consult Sinha before asking the actress."

Considering Kareena and Priyanka are not exactly on good terms, we wonder how Bebo would react to the news.
