I am an olive green privileged nomad: Celina Jaitley

Actress Celina Jaitley is quite a traveller and loves going to places. In fact, she says it’s a childhood habit. She spent most of her childhood in different locations due to her dad’s army job where he was transferred in cities and towns all over India. No wonder the actor is now an ambassador for tourism in Egypt.

Talking about her passion for travelling to places Jaitley says, “I have had the biggest blessing of having been able to travel all over the world and staying in the best of establishments. I’ve also had the opportunity to leave behind a small piece of my heart at very special places like Egypt, Switzerland, Austria and Dubai. All these places are different from each other but a perfect example of how diverse and beautiful Earth is. I also firmly believe in the phrase, ‘The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page.’”

So does she intend to write a book or make a film based on her travel escapades in the near future? Says Jaitley, “Not only a book based on my travels abroad but I also want to write about being a fourth generation army girl. I have had the honor of being born an olive green privileged nomad who has lived not only in the most seclude beautiful corners of India and Bhutan. However, I would also thank my profession as I have gathered pieces of diverse cultures from all over the world. All these memoirs are already a part of my secret journal. I may publish my experiences when I truly believe that I have seen it all. For now, all I can say is that I am an ardent travel buff.”

At a recently concluded awards function she gave the Premier of Ontario, Dalton McGuinty, a glimpse of her popularity in Canada. He said, “I found myself surrounded by dozens of photographers in the cool night air. The cameras flashed in my — and it was mesmerising, overwhelming and intoxicating until one of the photographers distinctly told me, ‘Sir, you’re ruining my shot of Celina Jaitley’.

I was zapped but that gave me a good sense of how crazy people are for Bollywood.” The actor says that she also has fan followers on the micro-blogging sites from Germany, Egypt, Russia and Switzerland.Well, it looks like after Egypt, the gorgeous actress is ready to take Canada by storm!

Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif link-up: Snaparazzi proof?!

There might be additional rounds of security to guard actors Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor from the prying eyes of the paparazzi when they start shooting for their next film being directed Ayaan Mukherjee and produced by Karan Johar.

“The film will be set in India and Ayaan hasalready hada few rounds of meetings with his team regarding the leading actors who apparently once dated. They are still good friends and are concerned about the fact that nothing should be leaked out of the sets of the film,” says a source.

Mostunit members would have access to them only when they are on the shooting floor. “Ayaan has told usthat we need to be extra careful during the shooting. We’ve been told to take outmost care that there are no situations that’ll potentiallyirk the actors,” the source adds.

“Since the film is a road trip based in the North, Ayan hasgone for a recce to Delhi and Punjab. This is the first time that KJo film will be shot in a small town in India,” the source ends.

Book On Arnold Schwarzenegger-Maria Shriver's Life?

Arnold Schwarzenegger's estranged wife Maria Shriver has been flooded with offers from publication houses who want to capture her "recent" turbulent life in a book.

Shriver, who has already written six best-selling books including And One More Thing Before You Go and What's Happening to Grandpa?, was approached by dealers with multi-million offers, to write a book on her tumultuous marriage to Schwarzenegger, his love child and reported extramarital affairs, reported Daily Mail online. Shriver has filed for divorce to end her 25-year marriage with the former Californian governor last Friday, citing "irreconcilable differences".

The decision was taken after Schwarzenegger confessed to fathering a love-child with the family's house-maid, Mildred Beana, almost a decade ago. Post the confession, the series of unfortunate events that followed have been the hot topic across the globe. According to reports, a top publishing executive has said that Shriver could rake in more than the all-time advance record, which was the USD 15 million paid to former president Bill Clinton for his memoir, My Life.

While speculations are rife about the book, Shriver is yet to confirm about her interest in going public. In her divorce plea, she has sought shared custody of their minor children, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13, besides requesting Schwarzenegger to pay the attorneys fees for both parties.

Prince Harry Is My Ideal Man: Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

Model turned actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley says Prince Harry is her "ideal man". Whiteley, 24, who is currently dating The Mechanic star Jason Statham, claimed to have told Prince Harry about her obsession, reported Contactmusic.

"I'm waiting for my proposal. I keep writing. I think he knows how obsessed I am. Well, he does now. He's so handsome," said Whiteley.

The former Victoria's Secret model, who made her Hollywood debut by replacing sultry Megan Fox in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, had earlier said that she needed a "chastity belt" to avoid her co-star Shia LaBeouf's charms.

"It was tough. I mean I really had to tie myself into my trailer. I really had to restrain myself for seven months of shooting," joked Whiteley.

Salma Hayek's Husband Has A Secret Love Child

Actress Salma Hayek's husband Francois-Henri Pinault has a secret love child with supermodel Linda Evangelista, court papers reveal.

The court papers, filed by Evangelista, say he got both women pregnant in the same year. The supermodel gave birth to a boy in late 2006, while Hayek gave birth to daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault in September 2007.

A source, who has seen the court papers, told People magazine: "In the filing, it says the child 'was born out of wedlock to (petitioner) Linda Evangelista, 46, and that (Pinault) acknowledged (her) allegation'. It says, 'It is decided that Pinault is the father of (Evangelista's son), Augustin James'."

"All that's left is for a magistrate to go over the father's filings and make a determination of support, which will last until the child is 21. (Pinault) is asking to be able to testify by phone," the source added.

It is unclear how much Hayek, who met Pinault, a French business tycoon, in 2006, knew about the cover up. At that time Pinault was dating Evangelista.

Will Kristen Stewart’s “Snow White and the Huntsman” be a trilogy?

According to producer Joe Roth, his “Snow White and The Huntsman” film is being positioned as a trilogy, a fact that has emerged rather late after months of speculative buzz. Scrutiny relating to the film has stemmed from the timing of its release, which will coincide with the release of a competing Snow White-themed film. While Roth’s “Snow White and the Huntsman” will star Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron, the competing “The Brothers Grimm: Snow White” will star Lily Collins and Julia Roberts.

Said Roth to Entertainment Weekly in an exclusive interview, “This story will end, but there will be questions remaining for these three characters.” It is a surprising detail, given that a very in-demand Kristen Stewart just finished filming another lengthy fantasy series (a total of five “Twilight Saga” films); even when her role in the first film was announced, some worried that sticking with roles along these lines could only typecast the young actress as a hapless ingénue.

Yet, in his interview with EW, Roth insisted that his Snow White character will be different: “She starts out not a damsel in distress, but innocent, and after 11 years of imprisonment by the Evil Queen, she escapes and learns the ways of a warrior in the woods.”

Transformers: Dark of the Moon | Movie Review

Review: Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Cast: Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel, Patrick Dempsey
Director: Michael Bay
Ever since the first part, the Transformer series has been abysmally stupid, cinematically crass and viscerally dumb. But then going by the new capitalistic mantra for cinema, anything that sells cannot be dumb. Thus you have another version of the same film you've seen twice before starring teenagers whose range of emotions are fewer than creases on a child's cheek and lots of machines shifting from cars to robots, bleeding oil.

The story has never been the strong point of Transformers and even here as well it is best described in one sentence - after learning of a crashed spaceship from their planet on the dark side of the moon, the benign Autobots race to find it before the Decepticons do.

It isn't the background score that has been its strength either - in the din of squealing robots, there's no space for any. As far as acting goes, the human actors are more robotic than the robots.

The strength of Transformers is its special effects. Indeed one look at any of the three films and it seems that the only purpose they exist is so as to excite our perverse senses, through teenage skin show, or through the loud, crass violence that goes on and on in the film. Thus violence and booty junkies, which the world is full of, would simply trip on this film.

There are desperate attempts at bringing some emotions though some bad teenage jealousies, or honour in Optimus Prime respecting human decision to exile them. But all these fall like a pack of cards at the altar of teenage titillation, pointless jingoism, and mindless violence.

Like the other two Transformer films, after a point you forget who's fighting who. All you see is big metal things transforming mid-air and slashing one another. And that's about all there is to the film indeed. Watching it is like children sitting in front of the TV, watching anything just because something is moving on the screen.

Megan Fox is replaced by supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who like Ben Stiller's character in the satire Zoolander, seems to have only one pouted-lips expression in the entire film.

The only metaphor that this version of the successful franchise ends up drawing, just like the other two, is against a visually challenged and overwhelmed society that needs extremities of visual stimulations to like something. And that is something that is neither good for cinema, or for society.
