Priyanka, Bebo take digs at each other

Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor who are arch rivals and avoid seeing eye to eye doesn’t leave any opportunity to take a dig at each other. On the talk show, ‘Koffee With Karan’, Kareena Kapoor made a controversial statement about Piggy Chops. Kareena commented about Priyanka’s accent, she said, "I wonder where Priyanka got her accent from?"   

When Karan asked Priyanka to comment on Kareena’s query, "I want to tell Kareena that I got my accent from the same place where her boyfriend (Saif Ali Khan) got his," referring to Saif and her education abroad.

Priyanka also heard discussing about Kareena’s second comment,  "I'm flattered that Kareena thinks I am a good actress. But otherwise I don't think people take Bebo too seriously."

When she was asked what she would steal from computers of Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid, Kareena and others. Priyanka giggled and asked, "Does Kareena have a computer in the first place?"

Kareena appeared on the show with beau Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka with her supposed boyfriend Shahid Kapoor.

Abhishek Bachchan; Why Can’t He Connect With The Audience?

Why did the last two releases of Abhishek Bachchan failed to do well at the Box Office? First, there was “Raavan”, where the audience did not accept him as the rustic and over the top Raavan in the Hindi version of the film. Choosing Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey as the next project seemed to be a calculated step taken by Junior Bachchan. In Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey, Abhishek essayed the role of a dhoti clad revolutionary and his acting could be described in just a word- subtle. In spite of that, the film did not shine at the box office. Now what is Abhishek Bachchan supposed to do that will make him click with the audience again?

After having delivered hits like Guru, Dostana, Delhi 6, Bluffmaster and Paa, it is a known fact that AB Baby can act. In the recent past, Abhishek has been very careful in choosing the directors and banners he is working with. Raavan had the cinematic genius Mani Ratnam in the director’s chair, while Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey had Ashutosh Gowarikar, who has become a pro in making period movies.

What we all can’t fathom is why a good actor like Abhishek Bachchan is going unnoticed? With films like Department, Game, Players and Dum Maro Dum in the pipeline, we can only expect him to connect with the audience again. Here’s wishing him all the best.

Karan Johar Falls Short Of Being A Sex Maniac!

For a director whose romantic life is as blank as a fresh sheet of paper, this acting role could have been a fresh breather. Grapevine has it that Vishal Bhardwaj had carved out one of the roles in his upcoming thriller Saat Khoon Maaf. And it was for Karan Johar of all people!

Considering the subject of the film, what is it that the acclaimed director would have played in his debut movie as an actor, if he had at all? The portrayal of a sex starved, love making husband to Priyanka Chopra. If this was not all, then he also had to beat up Priyanka after that!

Well, for such a horrifying role, we could expect nothing else but a no, which Karan promptly did. The director was not offered this role by Bhardwaj. Instead, Priyanka was knocked in for help to approach this director for acting, according to sources.

But obviously Priyanka could not get a yes from Karan. Infact, when Karan was asked whether this news was true, he said that he was indeed aghast at being thought of in relation to this film!

And as we said, this no-woman’s man was once again left without any fun!

Madonna’s ‘new toyboy’ opens up about their relationship

Madonna’s alleged new toyboy has spilled the beans on his relationship with the Queen of Pop.

The toyboy revealed he grew close to the pop icon after he was hired to dance at the launch of her clothing range.

In October (10), New York tabloids reported that the ‘Material Girl’ hitmaker had split from her Brazilian lover Jesus Luz and was dating much younger dancer Brahim Zaibat, who was spotted clubbing with the singer at a Big Apple hotspot.

The 24-year-old Frenchman has revealed that the pair met after he danced at the launch of her Material Girl fashion line in September (10), but insists he was wasn’t fazed during his first meeting with the famous 52 year old.

“(I was) asked… to dance for the launch of Material Girl and then backstage I was introduced to her. She thanked me for my performance. I didn’t feel like I met a monster. She was a woman almost like any other woman. I was really happy to meet her but I did not stress about it,” the Daily Star quoted him as telling Grazia magazine.

Zaibat also added it was not the pair’s intention to “go public” with their reported romance by partying together in New York.

“We were clubbing and were seen dancing together. Because it’s Madonna, the repercussions were absolutely unbelievable. It was not a calculated decision to go public. We were just having a good time with friends. I wouldn’t say things went too fast. My life did not really change. I am still the same person,” he added. (ANI)

Actress Keira Knightley still worries about spending too much money on clothes even though she knows she can afford it.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actress splashes on designer items but feels guilty about obscenely spending money on clothes, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

“Oh, I do like shopping, but only sometimes. The other day I wanted to buy a Burberry coat. I went into the shop, tried it on, looked at the price, nearly died, and then bought it! It was so much fun, but I still have to tell myself it’s OK to do that – isn’t that mad?,” she said.

While she enjoys the occasional spot of retail therapy, Knightley does a lot of her shopping online and says: “It makes my life so much easier.”

Kate Hudson works out for two hours everyday

Actress Kate Hudson says she is so dedicated to maintaining her figure that she exercises for two hours every day.

“I am, by nature, active and I have to workout. I usually do two hours each day when I am at home. I dance, I like to spin,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted Hudson as saying.

The 31-year-old admits to having a sweet tooth.

Nicole Scherzinger wants to sing with Ben Drew

Nicole Scherzinger of the “Pussycat Dolls” went knocking at 27-year-old Ben Drew’s door to complete her upcoming solo album.

Ben Drew is popularly known in the music world as Plan B.

“My label asked me who I wanted to work with and I said the only person I want is Plan B. I’m a huge fan. So I’m actually going to meet with him this week. I don’t know his face, his videos or anything but I love his music,” dailystar.co.uk quoted Scherzinger as saying.

Nicole’s new album is the brainchild of Lady Gaga’s right hand man Nadir Khayat.

“I wanted something explosive that could be staged live in a full performance and I needed music to match the intensity, that’s what he did, It’s raw, dangerous and big. That’s what I want to be on stage,” dailystar.co.uk quoted Scherzinger as saying.

Tanushree Dutta's pet peeve

Everyone in the industry is on some or the other social networking site promoting themselves and their movies, but our bong beauty Tanushree Dutta is one celebrity who is far away from all these. Even though she has a facebook account, she is not in the general searchable category and only when she wants does she add someone or gives out her real account name to close friends.

She maintains that, "I have kept the account active only to keep in touch with my school friends and some friends who are out of the country and even after that I log on very rarely like once in 3 months. There are many fake accounts on that site and all my fans who have added those are being fooled by an imposter."

So we guess her fans will be disappointed to have an imposter in their account for so long and hope she lets her fans know her real account so they can fulfill their wishes to be in touch with her.

Never had three-film deal with Yash Raj: Anushka Sharma

Anushka Sharma made a dazzling debut with Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” and her next was also from the same stable. Now her third outing “Band Baaja Baaraat” too has been produced by them, but the actress clarifies she was never under a three-film contract with the studio.

“There was never any three-film deal or contract with YRF that could have bound me in any which way,” Anushka told IANS in an assertive tone over phone from Mumbai.

“I signed (director Nikhil Advani’s Akshay Kumar-starrer) ‘Patiala House’ outside of the Yash Raj banner before I signed ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’. But it’s just that this one is releasing before that,” she added.

After making her debut opposite superstar Shah Rukh Khan in “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” in 2008, the 22-year-old was next seen with Shahid Kapoor in Badmaash Company”. Directed by Parmeet Sethi, it was produced by YRF.

The former model is now striking a hat-trick with “Band Baaja Baaraat”, releasing Dec 10. Directed by debutant Maneesh Sharma, it marks the launch of Ranveer Singh in the male lead.

Set in Delhi, the romantic comedy revolves around gala weddings and wedding planners.

“I play Shruti Kakkar. She is a girl from a middle-class family in Delhi. She is very ambitious, focussed and hardworking. Her priorities are set in life. She is a very sorted girl, very straightforward and very enduring,” said the actress, who refers to the movie as a “desi Date flick”.

But playing the role was not easy for her.

“I had to learn to speak like a Delhiite. My diction had to be correct. I had to adapt a body language which is very easy going, open and casual just like the people there,” said Anushka.

Delhi girls are known for their temper. Asked if her character incorporates that too, she immediately replied: “Absolutely. You can’t mess with her or act smart with her. You can’t fool Shruti. She is just way too smart.”

The actress, who made a mark with her girl-next-door looks, was also upbeat about her styling in the new venture.

“We tried to pick street fashion. So it was very basic girls-who-go-to-college-today dresses. Shruti is someone who does not care about her clothes. She doesn’t focus on styling. So in the whole film, I’ve worn T-shirts with jootis, kurtis with stoles, etc,” she said.

Having already worked with A-listers like Shah Rukh, Shahid and Akshay, who is the next actor on her wishlist?

“I want to work with all the actors. I am very greedy. They are all so great,” she said childishly.

As far as her Bollywood journey is concerned, she is satisfied.

“It has been very fulfilling because I am doing the kind of work that I want to do. I am not under any pressure to do anything. I do the films that I want to do. I have the right to say no or yes, so I am enjoying my space,” she said.

Doesn’t she miss modelling?

“Now I only act. No modelling. Now I only want to be an actor,” she declared.

Another foreign import in Bollywood

After Brazilian Giselle Monteiro and Mexican Barbara Mori, it's UK's Airin's turn to make her debut in Bollywood. Director Sachin Karande says initially he didn't plan to cast her in his upcoming film - PAYBACK.

"I met Airin at a common friend's house as she was down from England for a holiday," Karande said. "She was really interested in learning about hindi films and the way they are made, so my friend offered her to visit my set for my shoot which had already begun. She is just 21 and comes from a respected family in England. She has acted in a couple of short films back in England and is also an amazing actor."

Karande, who has worked with stalwarts like Govind Nihalni, etc, says he initially wanted the song to be done by an Indian actress but failed to find the right face for it. She came to the set for a couple of days and we were just planning about who we should cast for the single song in the film, she chipped in and said it was like her dream to be part of a bollywood film and she was fine to start off with just one song. Her being part of the project wasn't planned at all.

"During the screen test, we saw how excellently she performed over the song. It was then we decided to shoot the song with her." he added. Well though it is yet to be seen whether Airin will continue in bollywood but all we want to do right now is wish her all the luck.

Priyanka, Shahid hide their relationship

appeared on the talk show, ‘Koffee With Karan’ but they did not reveal their relationship. Karan popped the question to both Priyanka and Shahid but they did not give any convincing answer. They replied very diplomatically.

What sounds more interesting is that the couple arrived and departed separately. Priyanka left on her car and Shahid drove his bike but after going through some distance, Piggy Chops dropped down her car and got into Shahid's bike. The couple left the spot without delay.

An insider reveals, "They share a warm chemistry. They text-messaged each other and reached the venue on time. They indulged in humorous banter with one another and with Karan. At one point, the host asked them point-blank, if they were a real-life couple.

The answer was so non-committal and long-winded that even the seasoned host was left scratching his head."
