Shilpa’s love for Yoga

From being the global face of Bollywood, Shilpa went on to become the global face of fitness. Having launched a DVD on yoga, Shilpa has made it even more popular. “My aim was to clear the misconception of the youth that yoga is meant only for the elderly. I wanted them to know that yoga is all about wellness. Now I see a huge difference the way they perceive yoga. It’s valued as much in our country as it is in the West. Another reason why I decided to do the DVD was because I realized that all videos and DVDs on yoga were done by foreigners. So I took the initiative,” said Shilpa, who is known for having one of the fittest bodies in Bollywood.

“I have been practicing yoga ever since I’ve been into fitness. I have tried different forms of fitness, but found yoga to be the most holistic and scientific way of curing problems. It also tones and stretches your body at the same time. Yoga is the only form of exercise that loosens your body as well as sculpts it. It’s an all-in-one quick fix,” said the actress, who follows the ancient form of yoga.

Shilpa also meditates every night. She chants the Om Namah Shivay 108 times. Shilpa follows the teachings of the Oneness University. “I went there to discover more about myself. It has nothing to do with religion. It talks about your perception of life and how you can change it. The core of your wellbeing is your family life. If you don’t have good relations with your family, other things are affected. So you need to sort out that first and then everything else will fall into place.”

Celina's future with Golmaal Returns

Celina Jaitley's name has been mostly associated with ridiculous flicks like Money Hai Toh Honey Hai, Shakalaka Boom Boom, Red: The Darrk Side, Apna Sapna Money Money and Tom, Dick, and Harry etc. Her upcoming movies like Yahan Ke Hum Sikander and Hello Darling don't look exciting either. Yet she continues to dream big.

Now she's waiting with bated breath for the upcoming biggie Golmaal Returns where she has a role. The movie might do well, but chances are in a film with so many actors and big stars like Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor, there are huge chances of Celina going unnoticed. Much like what happened in No Entry.

But currently she's busy talking about the role she's playing. The character in the film is interestingly christened Mira Nair who is a sizzling South-Indian to whom Ajay Devgan's character is attracted on a yacht.


Celina has reportedly said, "It's only my character name in Golmaal Returns and has absolutely nothing to do with Mira Nair, the filmmaker. On another note, I'd love to work with Mira. She's stunning and eloquent, and a marvelous film-maker!" As if working with an internationally acclaimed filmmaker would become so easily possible for her!

By the way whatever happened to the international film The Quest of Sheherzade that she bragged about so much last year? This babe needs to work more and talk less!

Shiney Ahuja and preeti are not best friends

Preity Zinta is known for being very clear and vocal about her opinions. This straightforward Bollywood actor has now made her views on actor Shiney Ahuja public, and they are not exactly full of warmth!

Preity’s words make it clear that there is not much love lost between these Bollywood actors.

“Shiney and I are not the best of friends! He’s not exactly a Shah Rukh, Salman, Hrithik or Abhishek for me. I’ve worked in so many films with these guys, and we share such camaraderie that it’s not unusual that I drop into their homes, chat up with their wives… Well, I don’t share that relationship with Shiney. That’s all there is to it, really!” Preity made it clear.

Some news of a spat between the two was abuzz, but the confirmation came only when Preity spoke about Shiney in these terms. She went on to add, ” He certainly won’t be seen at a party thrown by me!”

This certainly leaves no doubts about the kind of vibes coursing between them! Watch out Shiney, your stars are shining bright, but rubbing this outspoken queen of Bollywood the wrong way doesn’t augur well!

Vidya joins Salman and Sanjay for Lahore flick

Vidya Balan joins Salman and Sanjay for Santoshi’s Lahore flick

Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan are to star in Raj Kumar Santoshi’s Jis Lahore Nahin Dekhya Who Jamiya Nahin, and the film will be shot – not in Pakistan – but in India.

Santoshi confirms, “Shooting in Lahore seems impractical. Primarily because we may not get the architecture of the partition times any more. So Nitish Roy is building Lahore in Hyderabad for us. Every lane, by-line, the transportation, the electric wires will be recreated. Our set will look more like Lahore than Lahore itself.”

Santoshi continues, “This is my second pre-Independence film after The Legend of Bhagat Singh. And an even bigger challenge because I’ve to combine drama and fiction into history. While we are getting the cast and crew into place my art designer, Nitish Roy and I are doing extensive research on Lahore during the Partition. We want to replicate every detail.”

Vidya Balan will be playing Sanjay Dutt’s wife in the film while young gun Neil Nitin Mukesh has been signed up as the third lead.
