Sameera Reddy ditches Mumbai for Goa

Sameera Reddy was to perform on New Year's Eve at the Bandra Reclamation in Mumbai but headed out to Goa with friends apparently leaving the organisers in the lurch.

She suddenly took off to Goa on December 28 and was spotted partying on the 31st. A friend of the actress, explains, "It's not true. A protest rally was held in Mumbai last Saturday and so, getting certain permissions were an issue. Besides, Sam hadn't been paid for the event.

Also because of lack of permissions, the event was cancelled." Sameera adds, "I had offers to perform in Dubai, Delhi and Chandigarh but chose Mumbai to be close to my family. It's sad that the organisers weren't given the required permissions."

Kareena Kapoor turned director for Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu

Every actor in the Kapoor clan seems to have a penchant for direction too. After cousin Ranbir, who directed a brief sequence in his last flick, Rockstar, it was time for Kareena to don the director’s hat. The actor recently directed a scene in her next, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu. The film’s director, Shakun Batra, wanted Bebo and her co-star Imran Khan to shoot a scene in Las Vegas, where they’d have to behave drunk on the streets.

Apparently, he wanted natural reactions from the public without anyone realising that they were being filmed.

“When Kareena and Imran were told about it, they seemed a little unsure. But later, she took charge of the entire shoot and after rehearsing it with Imran, they shot the sequence with ease. Kareena led the way and almost directed the entire sequence,” says a source.

Batra confirmed this saying “I wanted people to react naturally towards them. It was a fun sight. Bebo took the lead, and with Imran, behaved like they were actually drunk, lying down on escalators, making faces at others and giving strangers high fives. It has turned out to be a very natural sequence.”

However, when the makers got the scene right, they revealed to the public that they were making a film, and the people left laughing.

Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan return after welcoming 2012 in Dubai

The two reigning Khans of Bollywood- Salman and Shah Rukh- returned to Mumbai on January 3, 2012 after holidaying in Dubai. Both Salman and SRK were in Dubai to celebrate the New Year and coincidently both of them chose the same day to return to Mumbai.

SRK was seen exiting the airport with wife Gauri and kids. While SRK seemed over protecting his daughter Suhana, Gauri appeared a bit hustled by the crowd. Apparently, SRK was in no mood to end his vacation.

"Chhutti ended too fast.. Wish I could have stayed longer. I have another four-five days off, but kids are back to school. That's why I'm back too," he said.

Almost an hour after King Khan, it was Dabangg Khan's turn to land in Mumbai. Salman looked ever so stylish in blue jeans and a black shirt as he made his way out of the airport un-frazzled by the crowds.

His younger sister Arpita was seen grabbing Salman's arm as soon as the crowd at the airport went in a tizzy. The two warring Khans did manage to avoid meeting each other at the airport. But people wonder if they bumped into each other in Dubai.
