Jennifer Lopez plans new TV show about lesbian couple

Los Angeles: After launching ‘Q`Viva! The Chosen’ with estranged husband Marc Anthony, pop star Jennifer Lopez is now developing a scripted show about a lesbian couple.

The 42-year-old `American Idol` judge will executive produce the hour-long drama that centers on a lesbian couple, who bring a teenager into their already child-heavy household, reported Ace Showbiz.

"The yet-to-be untitled project centers on a couple, one of them is a cop and the other is a private school teacher. They have one biological son and adopted teen twins, one is a boy and the other is a girl. They later find their already child-heavy household turned upside down when a wayward teenage girl moves in," a source said.

Peter Paige and Brad Bredeweg have been hired as the writers.

They will join Lopez, Simon Fields and Greg Gugliotta as executive producers. ABC Family is reportedly fast tracking the project.

I`m not star struck by Ranbir: TV actress Sumona Chakravarti

New Delhi: Young girls are swooning over Ranbir Kapoor`s cute, chocolate-boy looks in `Barfi!`, but TV actress Sumona Chakravarti isn`t part of that league. The 24-year-old says she wasn`t star struck while sharing the frame with him in the movie, but was definitely impressed with his "chilled out" attitude.

Sumona, best recognised as Natasha Kapoor in popular TV soap 'Bade Achche Lagte Hain', has a cameo in the film, which marks the Bollywood debut of southern actress Ileana D`Cruz.

"I play Ileana`s friend in the movie. It`s a small, cute little part, but I have shared screen space with both RK (Ranbir) and Ileana. It was fantastic to work with Ranbir, he never made me feel as though I was someone he didn`t know. He was at ease interacting with everyone, which was great," Sumona told IANS.

"Actually, I am a person who is not star struck by any actor. If anyone asks me, `Who is your favourite male star?`, I usually have nothing to say! So it was the same with RK. He is a chilled out guy, very regular and very normal in attitude. We used to chit-chat on the sets and have tea while shooting in Darjeeling... it was a good atmosphere," she added.

Sumona ended up with a role in "Barfi!" thanks to its director Anurag Basu, whom she calls "Dada".

While most TV actors blow their own trumpet after bagging big screen projects, Sumona preferred to keep mum about her part in "Barfi!".

Asked why, she said: "It`s not my big Bollywood launch! Everybody is suddenly talking about my presence in the film. But I never wanted to talk about it. I just did the film for dada. I didn`t even know I was going to be a part of the trailer. It`s been a big bonus."

Surprisingly, this isn`t her first tryst with the big screen. As a youngster, she says she featured in Aamir Khan-starrer "Mann", which released in 1999. But now she wants to do more big screen projects, especially "character-driven" films.

"I certainly want to be a part of good cinema, and language is no barrier for me. I would love to do a Bengali film with Aparna Sen or Rituparno Ghosh. But good, character-driven cinema is what I am looking at. It`s very interesting to see the kind of new age cinema that`s prevalent today, and I am more inclined towards that," she said.

TV Star Katie Price gets embarrassed buying tampons

The 34-year-old TV star doesn't enjoy going to supermarkets because she is always worried people are looking at what she puts on the checkout, especially when she has to stock up on feminine hygiene products.
She said: "I'm there (at the supermarket) to shop, I'm not going, 'Oh who's looking at me,' I'm there to shop! I want to get in and out just like everyone else. Obviously when I'm in the queue I think, 'Is anyone looking at the conveyor belt looking at what I'm having for dinner?'

"When the Tampax and that go through, I think ... well, it's embarrassing because they know exactly what you are ... Just because you're in the public eye, does it matter?"

Katie - who is also known as Jordan - also revealed she will be getting her Argentinean fiance Leandro Penna to sign a prenuptial agreement before they get married, following her failed relationships with Peter Andre and Alex Reid.

Speaking on UK TV show The Wright Stuff, she said: "We are engaged, but I've been married twice before and I've learnt my lesson. So I'll be getting a proper pre-nup this time.

"I'm not going to get married unless they sign. Or unless they've got more than me to lose!"

Rajinikanth's associates have informed that he isn't amused with the news either.

Asked if Rajinikanth is turning into an item boy for the Aamir Khan-starrer, Kagti said: "Not true."

In the meantime, the iconic actor is busy with his southern project.

Taylor Swift spotted with Arnold Schwarzenegger's son

Taylor Swift spent Independence Day (July 4, 2012) with Arnold Schwarzenegger's son.

The 22-year-old singer - who has previously dated John Mayer, Joe Jonas and Jake Gyllenhaal - was spotted in Massachusetts with Patrick Schwarzenegger, 18, taking a walk together on the beach.

Though it is unconfirmed whether they are dating, gossip website TMZ reports they seemed very comfortable in one another's company and laughed a lot as they chatted.

Patrick - who, along with Taylor, was also seen with members of the Kennedy family - later took to his Twitter page to reveal he had had an "amazing" holiday.

He wrote:

It seems Taylor's company had cheered Patrick up as he had earlier been complaining about the noise on his flight from Austria to Boston.

He wrote:

During his time in Europe, Patrick had the chance to spend some quality time with his famous father.

He tweeted on Tuesday (03.07.12):

A-list actors get edgy in indie music videos

LOS ANGELES - For years, movie stars have looked for challenging roles in low-budget dramas made outside Hollywood's studios, but in recent months they have taken their acts to edgy music videos from independent bands to explore their dark sides.

In June, "Transformers" actor Shia LaBeouf caused a stir by appearing nude in a music video for Icelandic folk band Sigur Ros. In the same week, "Harry Potter" actor Daniel Radcliffe played a drunk in a Slow Club video, and in March, "Prince of Persia" star Jake Gyllenhaal turned homicidal for The Shoes.

Well-known actors appearing in music videos goes back to the early days of MTV with Vincent Price in Michael Jackson's "Thriller," but that was when music videos attracted millions to television. Now, YouTube and other video websites are capturing the eyeballs, offering creative outlets for stars and building reputations for cutting-edge bands.

"Short of doing a feature film, this is a way (for actors) to work with directors, and perhaps make an impression on them for a lengthier professional collaboration," Keith Caulfield, Billboard magazine's associate director of charts, told Reuters.

For LaBeouf and Sigur Ros, the collaboration came about through director Alma Har'el, one of 12 filmmakers selected by the band to create videos for tracks off their album "Valtari."

The video shows LaBeouf, 26, in a dysfunctional relationship with a woman and includes violence, drug use and nudity. It has amassed more than 2 million views since its June 18 release.

"Harry Potter" actor Daniel Radcliffe also made headlines playing a tormented drunk for British indie band Slow Club's music video "The Beginners," a topic that may have deeper meaning for the actor, who in February revealed his own struggles with alcohol to British magazine Heat.

Slow Club singer Rebecca Taylor told Reuters the actor worked closely with the video's director, and she called his performance "arresting."

"We were all anxious to make it a good video, a good performance and something that enhances the song. We didn't want having somebody as high profile as Daniel to just be the concept," Taylor said.

Both Radcliffe and LaBeouf were unavailable for comment, but Gyllenhaal did reply in an e-mail about his involvement in the video for "Time to Dance" from French indie band The Shoes.

"I did the video because it exists alone, by itself. Like a question mark at the end of a sentence," Gyllenhaal wrote.

VIDEO ART VS. COMMERCE

In the video, directed by British filmmaker Daniel Wolfe, Gyllenhaal, 31, plays a homicidal fencer who stabs and beats people to death. The Shoes dreamed up the concept with Wolfe, who then called in Gyllenhaal.

"We needed a great actor to do it as we didn't want (gratuitous) violence in our video. We wanted this as a piece of art and not a buzz video," band member Guillame Briere told Reuters.

Briere said that for Gyllenhaal, the video was a "really different experience from what he is doing normally" and a chance for him to show people "how good he is" as an actor.

In the past, celebrity cameo appearances in videos were mainly reserved for established music artists who could rope in high-profile actors and directors for big-budget videos that, in turn, were expected to boost album sales.

Eddie Murphy played a pharaoh in Michael Jackson's "Remember The Time," Christopher Walken danced in Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice," and "Clueless" actress Alicia Silverstone became a household name after starring in three Aerosmith videos.

But even on MTV, the format is no longer as relevant as it once was, and YouTube and other websites are offering artists a vast platform to reach fans, leading to a resurgence of music videos online from the likes of Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.

"Videos could be arguably more influential now because anyone can see them at any time, but the problem is getting that video in front of someone that wouldn't have normally watched it," said Caulfield.

While harnessing Hollywood star power is one proven way for indie bands to get videos seen, the collaborations don't always translate to high record sales over long periods of time.

The Shoes' "Time To Dance" has sold 2,000 downloads in the United States since its release in March, according to Nielsen SoundScan, but roughly one-half of those came in the week the video was released.

For Slow Club, working with Radcliffe has boosted the reach of the "Beginners" video, amassing more than 347,000 views since June 19, but the band isn't banking on it for long-term success.

"It's been great to reach more people. It always is. But it's not like we sat around drinking Moet and feeling like we've 'made it' now," said Taylor. "We are pretty laid back about where we are and where we reach."

Gladiator star Russell Crowe says his kids are very excited about the fact that he is making a film with Harry Potter star Emma Watson

Gladiator star Russell Crowe says his kids are very excited about the fact that he is making a film with Harry Potter star Emma Watson.

The 48-year-old actor's sons Charles, eight, and Tennyson, five, are very impressed that the actress has joined the cast of his forthcoming film Noah because they are big fans of the "Harry Potter" film series, in which she played Hermione Granger, reported Contactmusic.

"My kids are flipping out that I'm going to work with Hermione," Crowe tweeted.

The actor, who is married to singer-actress Danielle Spencer, has previously treated his children to a Harry Potter studio tour in London, England and says they impressed their guide with their intelligent reasoning.

Referring to the houses which the Hogwarts students are sorted into in the Harry Potter stories, Crowe said, "Harry Potter tour, guide assumed my boys would be gryffendor, no way they say, Ravenclaw, why? They are the smart kids and none of them die."

Noah, which is directed by Darren Aronofsky, will see the actor portray the Biblical ark builder, while Watson will play Ila, the love interest of his older son Shem (Douglas Booth).

The film is scheduled for release in 2014.

Miley Cyrus' personal trainer thinks people need to chill out about her figure

Los Angeles: The singer has been sporting a particularly slim and toned body recently and her Pilates instructor, Mari Winsor, says it is because she has been training hard with her for the last four months, rather than dieting.

She told People.com: "I think people need to chill out. She's healthy and she feels good, that's the main thing. She's smart about her body.

She wanted to sculpt her body, that's all."

Mari added Miley's toned physique is the result of a gluten-free diet and daily Pilates classes.

She added: "What we focus on with Miley is posture. That was my main concern when she first came to me. I wanted to get her shoulders down and get her to relax her upper body. If you notice, her posture is a lot better.

"She works hard. When this girl comes in, she is on fire. She's focused."

Miley got engaged to actor Liam Hemsworth on May 31 and is already planning her nuptials, although it is thought they will not be wed until next year.

A source told HollywoodLife.com: "Nothing has been definite yet. She's just pretty much brainstorming everything about her wedding. I know she wants to have a summer wedding, something on the water maybe."

Emma Stone Again Graces Vogue Cover, 'Spiderman' Star Discusses Sex, Anxiety and Fame [PHOTOS]

Evidently Emma Stone is everywhere right now - "The Amazing Spider-Man" star has landed on another cover of Vogue, this time around for its UK edition's August issue.

Stone was the cover girl of Vogue U.S. edition's July issue, looking stylish and sexy in a brown Nina Ricci dress with black lace accents, from the brand's fall 2012 collection. Emma also posed with boyfriend and co-star Andrew Garfield for Teen Vogue's August issue.

On the new UK edition, Emma Stone looks even sexier and chic with her blue eyes intensely staring under a Max Mara newsboy cap and the brand's black-and-white houndstooth jumper.

"It feels like it's happening to a different person," Stone said.

British Vogue's choice seems to gain more votes, as the actress looks more natural in the outfit.

In the interview conducted by Alexa Chung, Stone discusses “sex scenes, suffering from anxiety and the problems with fame," according to Vogue UK.

"To not walk around would be awful," she told UK Vogue. "I don't think that that would ever actually happen..... to the point where I can't go anywhere. But that idea makes me physically ill."

In "The Amazing Spider-Man," Stone stars as Gwen Stacy, the high school love of Spiderman, starred by Garfield.

Regarding Garfield, Stone "was surprised to hear his completely British accent, because on set, obviously, we were speaking in American accents, so in between takes he was pretty American," said the 23-year-old actress.

"I had such a great time at the audition with him, and felt like I trusted him and respected him and liked him as an actor."

The film broke a box office record for a Tuesday opening, grossing $35 million on its first day of screening in the U.S. and Canada.

JWoww Balances her Good and Evil with a Tiger Tattoo

The "Jersey Shore" stars are no stranger to rebellion; with their incessant binge drinking, partying, and occasional rough-housing, getting a tattoo is certainly in the mix of their favorite activities. Co-star of the latest "Jersey Shore" spin-off, "Snooki and JWoww", Jenni JWoww Farley flaunts her newest tattoo on the latest issue of Inked magazine.

Farley is already known for her mini-tattoo collection. She has a dragon across her ribcage, a rose and wings with the German word "Opa" (meaning grandmother; the star pays homage to her late grandmother), and praying hands and a cross on her right upper back. Her latest addition - a tiger sprawled across her right thigh.

The "Jersey"-girl debuts her new ink on the magazine's cover wearing nothing but a bikini bottom, a cropped tank, and heels, while getting soapy washing a car.

The 26-year-old explains that the tiger represents a balance between good and evil. The dragon on her left side represents evil while the tiger on the right represents good. Another interesting fact about the new tattoo is that it was done by her college advisor. Farley told Inked, "He was an art student, but he's also been tattooing for 10 years."

All of Farley's inks are strategically placed in areas that can be easily covered. She said, "I want to be able to show my tattoos off when I want to, and I want to be able to cover them when I don't."

Celebrity tattoos always hold dramatic or intriguing meanings. Rihanna, for instance, is notorious for her cryptic yet innovative body ink (her latest one cause quite a big stir). Take a look at other celebrities with wild tattoos.

Outrage at Kate's 'rotting teeth'

The face of the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, has been slapped on the front of a U.S. magazine with a set of yellow, decaying teeth.

The Royal was PhotoShopped like the American stereotype of a Brit with bad gnashers for a special issue of the politics and arts publication The New Republic about the future of Britain.

The 30-year-old, who is expected to attend Sunday's Wimbledon tennis final, appears in front of a tattered Union Jack alongside the words, 'Something's Rotten. The Last Days of Britain.'

Inside are several articles about the state of the United Kingdom ahead of this summer's Olympics which have sparked outrage online.

Last year the pearly white Duchess spent thousands of pounds having her teeth polished and turned to give her the perfect smile.

French dentist Didier Fillion used a hidden brace to make Kate’s teeth appear a little out of line, un-American and therefore beautifully natural.

'He did some little micro-rotations on Kate,' his dentist Bernard Touati revealed. 'That’s why they look so good – because they are not perfectly aligned.

'The problem in the United States is they have very artificial vision. But what we like is a natural healthy smile, but not artificial.'

Dr Fillion, also an expert in polishing and whitening teeth, has a clinic in London’s Wimpole Street as well as in Paris and Geneva.

Creating the perfect smile can take the Frenchman anything from six months to two years and costs from £4,000 to £11,000.

Brits having bad teeth is a staple of American humour about the UK. For example, in one episode of the hot comedy The Simpsons Lisa was shown The Big Book of British Teeth by her orthodontist.

One commenter said: 'Not cool. I am not an imperialist (not even close!), but she seems to be a genuine person. She is young, beautiful, and privileged. Apparently grave sins to many people.

'Yet I wonder if these are the same critics who keep up on the Kardashians, or whatever flavour of the month Hollywood squirts out.

'She is a person who did not deserve this low blow. Shame on them. I will wouldn´t even think to read anything from them ever again.'

One poster said it was 'absolutely ridiculous' and another said, 'the magazine should be sued for libel'.

Lee, from Vancouver, said: 'What else an one expect from a Republican magazine, they probably dislike themselves. Satire or not, it is still very disrespectful.'

Another poster said: 'Cheap shot. They know she will remain dignified and not say a word, allowing them to "get away with it".'

The magazine is on news stands now in the State.

Clarence House refused to comment.
