Priyanka Chopra is hotter than Kareena Kapoor : Shahid Kapoor

Shahid Kapoor was in a sticky situation when he was questioned, “Who is hotter? Priyanka Chopra or Kareena Kapoor”. And the actor answered that he finds Priyanka hotter than Kareena.

Though Shahid likes to stay mum when asked about the matters of the heart, he admits that he was never a loner. The star whose Mausam will hit the theaters soon confesses that he always used to be in relationships. But as for now he is enjoying his single status and has learnt that happiness comes from within and is not dependent on someone. Yes, he is very much single and ready to mingle. The actor gave a candid interview to Filmfare, talking about films, life and how he is a hopelessly romantic.

When asked whom he finds sexy, Priyanka or Kareena, he chose not to take names. But when it came to hotness quotient, Shahid rated Priyanka above Kareena and said, “Personally, I think is Priyanka is hotter.”

Shahid and Priyanka have started shooting for Kunal Kohli’s Teri Meri Kahani, and Shahid is happy that he could do a love story with Priyanka.

Was he waiting for a good romantic film to do with Priyanka? Shahid replies that he has rediscovered how much he enjoys shooting with Priyanka and admires her acting skills.

What about love? Shahid is not scared, he wants to fall madly in love and he won’t hide anything. But he also lets out a warning that this time he won’t be easy to “pin down”.

Latest James Bond film to be shot in India

After shooting in exotic locales across the globe, the world's most famous spy has taken a fancy to desi destinations like the humble Sarojini Nagar market in Delhi and relatively unknown Navagam town near Ahmedabad. Other possible locations that the latest James Bond flick could be shot in include the sun-kissed beaches of Goa and business hub Mumbai.

The I&B ministry has given permission to India Take One Productions to shoot the latest Bond film. 'Bond 23' is likely to be shot at the cheek-by-jowl streets of Daryaganj, Sarojini Nagar market and Ansari Road in Delhi. The film, to be directed by Sam Mendes, will be released in 2012. This also marks the 50th anniversary of the successful 'Dr No' and the Bond franchise.

The producers have been given permission to shoot in North Goa with the exception of the tunnel at Dudhsagar (south-eastern railway) and Zuari rail bridge over Zuari river (Konkan railways) due to security concerns. Sources said talks with the railway ministry were on regarding these particular locales.

In Ahmedabad, the producers had sought permission to shoot near the Navagam area that is close to installations like Torrent Power limited, ONGC and IOC. The ministry has asked them to ensure that permissions are taken from the railway ministry and the state government. "We have suggested that these vital installations be avoided during the shoot in this area,'' a source said.

The Bond film will join an increasing number of foreign films that are being given permission to shoot in India. At last count, 22 films including big ticket productions like the Tom Cruise-starrer 'Mission Impossible', 'Life of Pi', 'Singularity' and 'The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel' had been given permission. Among reality shows that have been cleared include the World's Strictest Parents' Australia and New Zealand productions.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan's surgery in US successful

Good News For Salman Khan' Fan!!!

Surgery on Bollywood actor Salman Khan in the US for a painful nerve condition has been "successful" and he is advised a complete rest for the next fifteen days, sources close to the actor said today.

Salman who is suffering from Trigeminal Neuralgia, a nerve disorder that causes intense pain in the face, had left for the US on August 29.

"The surgery was done last night and lasted for five hours. It will take at least fifteen days for the actor to resume work and he is advised complete rest till then. Fresh tests will be conducted further to check the progress of recovery. The actor will then go to South Africa to shoot for Ek Tha Tiger," sources close to the actor told PTI.

The Dabangg actor has been suffering from the pain in his jaw since 2007 while shooting for 'Partner'. It got worse last year following which he decided to undergo a surgery.

Salman Khan's Bodyguard sets record for first-day box office collections of Rs 20 crore

It has been a very happy Eid for Salman Khan three years in a row. After Dabangg in 2010 and Wanted in 2009, his latest movie, Bodyguard, released on Wednesday, has set a new record for first day's box-office collections. It netted an estimated Rs 20 crore, beating the Rs 14.5-crore opening of Dabangg (last Eid), and the Rs 13.5 crore collected by his friend and rival Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots in 2009.

With several full-house shows and strong advance bookings even for weekdays, Bodyguard could even emerge as one of the biggest grossers of all time, cementing Salman's position as Bollywood's biggest boxoffice draw more than 20 years after he made his debut in Maine Pyaar Kiyain 1989.

Over the last two years, in terms of box-office collections, Khan's movies have also been beating high-decibel releases of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. But a reason for that could be the wider reach that Khan's Hindi movies get across the country, whereas Rajinikanth's Tamil movies are released primarily in theatres in the south, an exception being Robot, which had a Hindi version.

Long queues reminiscent of the openings of Amitabh Bachchan's movies in the 1970s and 1980s were reported from cities and towns. "Our theatres in Gorakhpur, Patiala and Bijnor are witnessing a deluge of Salman fans. We are sold out for the next few days," said Tinku Singh of SRS Cinemas, which has theatres across UP, Haryana and Punjab.

At Anurag Cinema in Meerut, shows of Bodyguard are sold out for a few days, said head booking clerk Bharat Kumar. "The crowds have gone mad. There is commotion all around here."

The movie's co-producer, Reliance Big Pictures, which spent Rs 22 crore on marketing, says it will raise thatamount through Day 1 collections alone. "We estimate the first day's business can touch Rs 20 crore net, which will be unprecedented," said Sanjeev Lamba, chief executive officer of Reliance Entertainment.

Bollywood trade analyst Komal Nahata said the movie would have garnered Rs 18-19 crore in collections. "This looks like the biggest opening weekend ever.

Salman Khan has achieved superstardom," he said. "Bodyguard has monstrous, earth-shattering, mindboggling opening," tweeted Taran Adarsh, another trade analyst.

Khan and his team followed a recent trend in Bollywood of launching films ahead of Friday - the day films are traditionally released in India - to take advantage of the extended weekend, which began on Wednesday with Eid. Many parts of the country will be closed for Ganesh Chaturthi on Thursday. The movie has been released across 2,800 screens in India. Multiplex chains are reporting houseful shows, with occupancies ranging between 85% and 100%.

"Bodyguard is witnessing 100% occupancy across shows. Even advance bookings for several shows in the coming days are sold out. We believe there will be repeat audience for the film," said Gautam Dutta, chief operating officer at PVR, which operates multi-screen theatres in many cities in the country.

Tushar Dhingra, the COO at the ADAG-owned Big Cinemas, which runs theatres in many cities in India, said the film has done well across both big and small centres. "Bookings are averaging 85-100% across board. Audiences are pouring in and advance bookings for the rest of the week are also strong," he said.

Hat-trick for Salman as Bodyguard grosses Rs20cr on Day 1

Actor Salman Khan has scored a hat-trick at the box-office with his latest release, Bodyguard, which net Rs 20 crore on the first day of its release. His two other recent films, Dabanng and Ready, raked in the moolah

While Dabanng collected Rs 14 crore on the first day, Ready garnered Rs 12.5 crore. Till then, these Khan capers hit the silver screen, actor Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots had been the highest first-day grosser with Rs 13 crore.

The massive opening for Bodyguard, which also stars Khan along with Kareena Kapoor, could not have come at a better juncture for Salman Khan, who is battling ill-health. He is in the United States for two surgeries to tackle his neurological problems-trigeminal neuralgia and a form of brain aneurysm. The neuralgia results in painful spasms across the actor's jaw.

He is scheduled to undergo the procedures within a couple of days. Regarding Bodyguard's opening, Fun Cinemas' head of operations Vishal Anand, said, "This has to be the highest-ever opening in Bollywood, beating Dabbang by nearly 15% or so.

" He feels Bodyguard should be able to net Rs 70 crore because of the present five-day weekend due to the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations. "It is on the verge of making a record in Bollywood," he said. Bodyguard could have gained from the fact that there was "30-day lull at the box office". However, the impending release of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Mausam may change things.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh said, "Salman has become a phenomenon if one goes by the first day collection alone." He credits the first-day rush to the "Salman phenomenon". He said, "I feel after Salman has started doing charity he has found a special connect with the audience and they make his films work."

However, many other industry watchers have panned the film. "In terms of content, 'Bodyguard' is an average film as compared to Dabanng and Ready.

One will have to wait and watch to see how it fares beyond the first day," said a film analyst. Adarsh feels otherwise: "Salman and Eid are a lethal combination. I think this film will break the first weekend record as well."

Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan Mending Their Relationship?

During this years Eid celebrations, Bollywood’s Baadshah, Shahrukh Khan took a moment to wish his rival, Salman Khan a speedy recovery.

Superstar actor, Salman Khan flew off to the US earlier this week to undergo a few surgeries due to experiencing a nerve problem, and wasn’t present at Shahrukh Khan’s Eid bash either.

Nevertheless, here’s what SRK had to say to the media, ‘When anyone is unwell, we all feel unhappy. We all feel bad. I always pray that they get well very fast. It's a tougher time for the family than the patient. So I wish Salman a speedy recovery and I wish him all the best. He should come back soon.’

We’re sure this particular Khan is able to relate to Salman’s pain, since his had many surgeries of his own including, knee, back and shoulder.

Their rivalry started a few years back at
Katrina Kaif’s birthday party, and although SRK has stated on numerous occasions that he would like to patch up things, Salman still hasn’t responded back.

Let’s hope this issue of getting operated, brings the two Khan’s closer soon; after all we do miss the original Karan-Arjun bond.
