Carey Mulligan doesn’t want to be thin

London, Dec 12 – British actress Carey Mulligan insists she doesn’t want to set a bad example by being too thin.

The 25-year-old actress has often denied that she has any eating disorder and revealed that she used to be a strict dieter but it only made her unhappy, reports express.co.uk.

‘I was very thin at the beginning of ‘An Education’ and I remember the scene where I’m dancing and you can see my spine. Yuk. I would never want to be so thin that someone would think it was a good idea to be thin and make themselves miserable. I would never want to set a bad example,’ she said.

‘Earlier I used to deprive myself of that glass of wine. Put that pizza away. But it was not fun. I look back and it’s really, really not worth depriving yourself,’ she added.

Resse Witherspoon reads about herself online

London, Dec 12 – Actress Reese Witherspoon admits she reads about herself online at times, and often ends up feeling quite horrible.

‘Only in very, very dark moments – moments of pure self-loathing – do I type my name into Google. I know what I’m in for. You never read anything positive. You’re fat, you’re ugly, you’re tired, you’re worthless, you don’t have a career anymore, you’re a bad actor. It’s just an affirmation of every horrible feeling you have about yourself,’ Witherspoon has been quoted as saying by thesun.co.uk.

The actress, who is busy promoting her new film ‘How Do You Know’, also says her 11-year-old daughter Ava feels embarrassed by her.

‘She’s on the verge of being a teenager and basically hates everything I do. We recently went to a Carrie Underwood concert and Ava said, ‘Mom, you are not going to sing with her on stage, okay?’ I said okay. What can you do? I don’t mind though. I love being a mom,’ she added.

Kylie Minogue can’t wait to tour again

London, Dec 12 – Kylie Minogue can’t wait to embark on her forthcoming ‘Aphrodite – Les Folies’ tour in March 2011 and plans to push herself harder than ever.

The Australian singer who battled breast cancer in 2005 released her 11th album ‘Aphrodite’ in July 2010 and the album was number one on the music charts for a long time, reports conatctmusic.com.

‘The opportunity to perform songs from ‘Aphrodite’ is going to be delicious. It’s my favourite part of what I do. It’s gruelling, but I would rather have that and the kind of reward it gives me,’ she said.

‘I am not planning an interval this time because we’re having a hard enough time choosing which songs to put in the two-hour show. And I’m breaking my three-day rule. It used to be that I could only do two shows in a row. Now we are doing three. I feel strong and ready,’ she added.

‘Balika Vadhu’ actress met with an accident

Neha Marda, who plays Gehna on popular serial, ‘Balika Vadhu’ on Colors met with a car accident on her way to Kolkata airport on December 11. After attending an event in Kolkata, she was returning to Mumbai. At around 3:30am, her car hit a lamppost. The incident took place when the driver of the car felt asleep while driving.
"The driver was very tired and he went off to sleep while driving, crashing the car into a lamppost. The car tumbled over but I managed to escape after breaking the window-pane. A fire broke out in the car soon after," says the actress.

Madra in injured condition managed to reached taxi stand on a truck, got examined by a doctor and managed to catch her flight.
On reaching Mumbai, the actress underwent a CT scan. "A few pieces of shattered glass had pierced my forehead. But there are no major injuries," she said.

SRK apologizes to Sallu, Farah in public

Shahrukh Khan likes to have many friends. In the past, his friends’ list was at the peak but over the years, the number went on decreasing due to some spat with his close ones. In the chat show, ‘Koffee With Karan’, Shahrukh Khan made a solo appearance and took the opportunity to apologize his friends, Farah Khan and Salman Khan.
