Kim Kardashian Blasted as 'Horrible' Influence on Girls by MMA Artist

Kim Kardashian should not be a role model to young women because of her past promiscuity that led to fame, according to mixed martial artist Ronda Rousey, who said she was willing to fight the reality television star because of her negative impact on society.

"I would beat the crap out of Kim Kardashian actually," Rousey told EsNewsReporting.com at the ESPN Body Issue wrap party. "Any girl who is famous and idolized because she's in a sex video with some guy and that's all that she known for…I think it's so stupid. Sorry, but it's true."

Rousey, 25, began speaking about Kardashian when she was asked about any celebrities she had issues with. Still, the fighter who made the cover of ESPN magazine's most recent body issue said she is not shocked by Kardashian's popularity but does not agree with people forgetting where her fame came from.

"Why is everyone slipping it under the carpet now, like oh yea she's selling Sketchers to 13-year-olds," Rousey said. "I don't want a girl whose entire fame is based on a sex video to be selling Sketchers to my 15-year-old little sister."

The fighter went on to say that she was inspired to be a better role model to supplement Kardashian's bad example.

"That's a horrible kind of role model that I do not want to be around. That's why I'm doing things like this, because girls like Kim K are being pushed in my sister's face," Rousey said. "It's just not healthy she shouldn't even have role models like this. That's why I'm doing stuff like ESPN body because somebody needs to do it."

The negative remarks focusing on Kardashian are not the first time that the 31-year-old reality television star has heard disapproval for her public image. Earlier this year, first lady Michelle Obama admitted that neither she nor her husband wanted their daughters watching the Kardashians on television.

"Barack really thinks some of the Kardashians – when they watch that stuff – he doesn't like that as much," the first lady said in an iVillage report. "But I sort of feel like if we're talking about it, and I'm more concerned with how they take it in – what did you learn when you watched that."

Last month, Kardashian told media mogul Oprah Winfrey that she is misunderstood.

"I hardly drink, I go to church on Sundays," Kardashian told Winfrey during part two of "Oprah's Next Chapter." "I'm so far removed from my image."

How Kate Moss saved George Michael

London, July 13 (ANI): Kate Moss has made a life-saving cameo in George Michael's latest music video.

The 49-year-old singer took to his Twitter page to confirm rumours that the model had filmed a cameo in the video for his new single 'White Light', which is said to be all about his recent battle with pneumonia.

"Oh and by the way, in the video, a certain supermodel (our Kate) saves my life. We shot two endings, one with the heimlich menouvre...and one where she gives me full on CPR. Mouth to mouth. Not really," the Telegraph quoted him as tweeting.

"But honestly, she is my saviour, on film at least," he added.

It's not the first music video Moss has appeared in. She pole-danced in the video for The White Stripes' 'I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself' in 2003 and also appeared in Primal Scream's 'Some Velvet Morning' video. (ANI)

‘Cocktail’ Review: It is a heady mix of varied human emotions!

If you put three different people under one roof, throw in some fun, drama and lend a touch of romance to the plot- what you get is a savory mix of a ‘Cocktail’ which is worth every buck you spent to relish it.
Yes, that is what Homi Adajania’s newest work is all about. Post his previous off-beat venture ‘Being Cyrus’ that got massive critical acclaim, the man has hit the nail on its head once again with the flick that stars Deepika Padukone, Saif Ali Khan and young turk Diana Penty.

So here we are introduced to the tamed Meera (played by Diana Penty), who lands up in the city of London to meet her husband Rahul (played by Randeep Hooda). To her utter dismay, Rahul ruthlessly turns her away after conning her off all her money and leaves her on the street without a roof in an alien land. She chances upon spoilt, rich bitch Veronica who parties hard, drinks like a fish but has a heart of gold. She pities Meera and takes her under her shelter and soon they become the best of friends.

Enter Gautam (played by Saif), who flirts with every hot chick in the town with his cheesy one liners. Chances bring the three main protagonists together under the same roof as Veronica and Gautam start a casual fling without any commitment. However, things take a U-turn when Gautam and Meera fall for each other on a serious note during their South Africa holiday while Veronica realises that Gautam is THE man she must settle down with. Then what begins is a roller coaster ride of emotions, drama and fallouts amidst the trio.

Going by Deepika Padukone’s performance, this is one of her best so far. She hits the bulls eye with her portrayal of Veronica. Deepika manages to highlight the intricacies of the psyche of a woman who has had a troubled childhood, which propelled her to seek refuge in alcohol and hard core partying.

Saif too has his own moments in the movie such as the one in which he hilariously dances wearing lingerie and make up and gets caught by his mother (played by Dimple Kapadia) during his live performance.

On the other hand, Diana Penty looks fresh as a daisy on screen but needs to polish her acting skills a tad more if she intends to survive the rat race.

For those who have loved Saif and Deepika’s ‘Love Aajkal’, ‘Cocktail’ will not disappoint you as it has some shades of the former. The storyline of the movie is gripping and will keep you hooked and booked.

Talking about the songs, they are as foot tapping as they could get. “Tumhi Ho Bandhu” deserves a special mention here as it will make you get up from your seats and shake a leg as the song is played on the big screen. The locations of the movie are eye catching and the styling of the actors is in sync with their onscreen characters.

Final verdict: ‘Cocktail’ is worth a try!

Rating: Three cheers for this one!

Cocktail Box Office – Opening Day Analysis

Cocktail seems to have taken a bumper start in many parts of the country. Starring Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty, the movie was one of the most awaited one’s of this month and thus the huge box office opening comes as no surprise. The movie might have got average reviews but the good publicity seems to have left its impact.
If you look at North India the movie had an almost 90-100% average occupancy rate in multiplexes. As of now the movie is doing pretty well in Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Delhi, Noida and Ahmedabad. The average occupancy in movies across the country would be over 80%. It is a huge number for any movie in the recent past. In fact one can easily compare it to opening day of other Blockbusters this year.

Multiplexes in the metros seem to be doing a better business than that of single screen theaters and non-urban areas. The opening day has indeed proved to be bigger than anyone predicted and in the absence of a competition, Cocktail will indeed do some good business. Collections will only increase during the weekend, however average reviews might hit the movie to some extend. All said and done Cocktail seems to be prepared for a rocking journey at the Indian Box Office.

When Esha Gupta had to rip off her clothes on the sets of RAAZ 3

While shooting for Vikram Bhatt’s RAAZ 3, actress Esha Gupta was asked to rip off her clothes and scream in front of as good as crowd of 300 people. The actress was alarmed hearing this and asked the director if he could skip the scene. However, being the pivotal scene of the film, the actress had no other option left than to do it.
Recalling her experience on the sets, says Esha, “There was this scene in the film… I won’t reveal much about the situation related to it. However, would definitely like to recall the incident. The scene goes this way… Sanjana (Esha’s character’s name in the film) enters a party hall where people are enjoying the mood and having a good time… But Sanjana has totally lost it and she has no control on her state of mind due to the extensive black magic power and stuff happening to her.”

She further adds, “So, I had to wear this sexy gown. And suddenly, Sanjana starts visualizing and sees those ghosts or you can say some shadows coming towards her and just passing through her body, her hair, her ears, her eyes and from everywhere! And there I had to start screaming and just try to get rid out of it.”

“Sanjana had to get involved so much into it that she starts ripping and tearing off her clothes just to get rid out of the shadows and spirits. Now, my trouble started from there. Trust me I was just wearing a skimpy tube top and those ‘extremely short’ short pants. It was really an awkward moment to act it in front of so many people. And I just said NO to Vikram that I can’t do it, when I got to know about it. There were around 200 to 250 extras called for this scene,” she continues, “But, Vikram was very confident about it. He said, ‘I know you can do it. I know you’ll do it.’ Even my makeup artist Shaan and my friend Rik Roy they came to me. They made me relax, calmed me down and finally I gave my shot.”

“And guess what happened after the scene. Everybody liked it. People out there started clapping. I could hear my crew members saying, ‘good job’. They all appreciated me. Vikram just came and hugged me. Emraan too liked it. He said, ‘You’ve done great Esha’. What more could I have asked for!” said Esha on a parting note.
