Pooja Bhatt miffed over Jism 2 'A' certificate

Pooja Bhatt seems to be upset with the Censor Board for giving an 'A' certificate to her upcoming film Jism 2, starring Sunny Leone.

'First music promo for #Jism2 has been given an 'A' certificate. And this was what one could call a truly watered down version,' the actor-director tweeted.

'So the deal is this-You can't buy spots on TV for a promo with an 'A' certificate. Which basically means you can't publicize your music!' she added.

The actress/filmmaker has now decided to release the promo on the Internet instead.

'So will I pare down the promo of #Jism2 to appease the censors? Or release it on the internet & push forward a more sanitized song on TV? Absolutely REFUSE to pare my scheduled trailer down to pander to an over cautious Censor board. Will release promo on the internet instead,' she added.

'So we've decided to throw all caution to the winds & go ahead and release our first music promo on June 29'TH as scheduled over the INTERNET. Delighted that T. Series is in absolute agreement with us with regards to NOT releasing watered down versions of #Jism2 trailers on TV!' she updated.

'We have 6 songs in #Jism2. Only 3 cater to a universal audience without losing their essence. The other 3 cannot be made to seem asexual! Hence we will only submit to the censor board & plug on TV those songs of #Jism2 what WE feel is appropriate for a family audience,' she tweeted.

£105,000, the TRUE bill for Kate's clothes: But she's worth every penny, says LIZ JONES

So it’s estimated that Kate’s clothing has cost Prince Charles £35,000 just since the beginning of the year. It is a princely sum.

But Femail has delved more deeply into the Duchess of Cambridge’s wardrobe, and discovered that the ensembles she has worn over the past 12 months come in at just over £105,000.

While Prince Charles will have footed the bill for the outfits Kate wore to official functions, it is unclear who will have covered the cost of the rest, though they will include items she owned before she joined the Royal Family.
Cost: £2,065 I adore this baby pink box-pleat wool dress by London designer Emilia Wickstead. At £1,220, it is expensive, but Kate has worn it at least twice. At the Buckingham Palace garden party, she teamed it with a pastel-pink Jane Corbett hat, £500, nude LK Bennett Sledge courts, £185, and clutch, £160
Cost: £7,178 This grey Katherine Hooker coat, £795, worn over a grey silk floral print dress by Jenny Packham, £6,000, is one of my favourites. However, I¿d have added colour in the clutch and shoes. Kate wore her trusty LK Bennett courts, £185, Hobbs clutch, £99, and Whiteley hat, £99

Cost: £3,335 Kate is stunning when she goes slightly over the top, rather than narrow and severe. This Jenny Packham gown, £2,875, in emerald green was worn to the Olympic concert in February. I find the lace panel at the back deliciously daring, the hair neat and grown up. Her Jimmy Choos are £460
Cost: £3,001 The red-carpet occasion dress is where Kate really comes into her own. I love this lilac belted Alexander McQueen gown, £2,246: the full skirt and pleated bodice are a welcome change from her usual very slim silhouette. She's also wearing silver Jimmy Choo shoes, £460, and silver clutch, £295

Yet I maintain that we shouldn’t accuse Kate of unnecessary extravagance. She never accepts discounts or freebies, and nor should she.

This is the practice by which most celebrities and fashion editors manage to look so good: Kate has to remain above such bribery.

Besides, we haven’t asked Charles to sell his Aston Martin; nor should we ask William and Kate to move into a Barratt home so that Kensington Palace can be made into a dorm for the homeless.

Clothes may seem frivolous, but what Kate wears is so much more visible, and vital, than where she lives and what she drives.

She is now — like it or not — an ambassador for Britain. What she wears is not about being attainable on the High Street; it is about being breathtaking. She needs to have the ‘wow’ factor.

So to those members of the PC brigade, who presumably wear sackcloth, eat only gruel and insist Kate should not be spendthrift in a time of need, I say: ‘Poppycock!’

We need our morale raising, and our biggest industry — retail — needs boosting, especially as it is the largest employer of women in this country, and it is women who are being hardest hit by the downturn.

During the Thirties’ Depression, people turned to the cinema and the likes of Carole Lombard, dressed in liquid satin, for escapism — a hit of much-needed glamour.

Today, Kate is that superstar. Not a style-setter, but a nation-saver.

I actually wish Kate would spend more of her father-in-law’s money, and develop an intimate relationship with one or two couturiers, so all her clothes are made-to-measure, not off the peg.

I also wish she would experiment more with colour: too often, she is in dove grey.

She can afford to inject frivolity into her wardrobe, and add zing to her choice of shoes: I beg her to abandon those nude  LK Bennett ‘Sledge’ courts at once.

Above all, I’d like Kate to remember she is still a very young woman, with a fabulous figure.

She needs to abandon the Chanelesque wool coats with no shape: I see her as a new Grace Kelly, not following in the footsteps of Carla Bruni, the Queen or even Diana.

She must be her own person: a goddess and, yes, a clothes horse.

There is no better boost for the economy, or our national psyche.

John Abraham, Shah Rukh Khan are together in ‘Happy New Year’?

Mumbai: If Bollywood choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan has her way, there’s a fair chance to watch hunk John Abraham share screen space with King of romance Shah Rukh Khan, for the first time ever (for the uninitiated – SRK only appeared in an item song in John’s ‘Kaal’) .

While everyone knows that Farah is working earnestly to come up with her much talked about project ‘Happy New Year’, the firebrand lady seems to have cast a ‘killer coup’ for her next. Farah has already roped in SRK, Abhishek Bachchan and Boman Irani for her film and with John joining the team, the actor completes ‘Happy New Years’ male quartet.

While John is yet to confirm the report, a source close to the actor said, "Farah wanted someone with a very cool body language for the fourth male lead. She had been toying with the idea of casting John for a long time. The deal was sealed a few days before John flew off to Turkey to shoot for ‘Race 2’."

As for John, "He is very happy he will be working with Shah Rukh for the first time. And he is excited he will share screen space with Abhishek, with whom he enjoyed great camaraderie during the making of ‘Dostana’ and has been good friends with ever since," said the source.

Shah Rukh for his part is very comfortable with Farah`s decision to bring both Abhishek and John on board, revealed an insider.

As for the leading lady of ‘Happy New Year’ which is expected to roll by end this year, the casting is yet to be done.

Angelina Jolie wedding gown by Versace?

Angelina Jolie's wedding gown has already been sketched by Versace, it has been reported.

Insiders claim that the Italian fashion house has pooled ideas for what is set to become one of the most hotly anticipated bridal designs in the history of showbiz.

The rumours are supported by the fact that Angelina often wears the label's creations for her biggest moments in the limelight - this year alone, the star chose Versace gowns for both the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes.

"Angelina wears Versace for special occasions, almost exclusively," a source told British magazine Heat. "She hasn't made a final decision, but Versace already have some early designs."

Since becoming engaged to Brad Pitt in April of this year, Angelina's possible couture choice for the big day has caused feverish speculation. Donatella Versace herself stated earlier this year that the brunette beauty looks wonderful in her designs.

"Angelina Jolie wears Versace spectacularly well, as she did at the Golden Globes this year," she said.

Other creative forces have drawn up sketches of potential contenders in the hope to win the coveted commission.

Mark Badgley and James Mischka submitted a sketch of a classic, vintage-inspired gown to People, while Monique Lhuillier sketched a Chantilly lace gown with a beautiful V-neck. Meanwhile, Reem Acra envisioned Angelina in a "body-skimming ivory satin gown complete with a dramatic embellishment at the shoulder".

Tomboy Kristen Stewart got 'picked on' for hairy legs

Twilight star Kristen Stewart has revealed that her peers made fun of her for not shaving her legs.
The actress admitted that she was picked and got bullied due to her nonchalant attitude towards grooming.

“Look at a picture of me before I was 15. I am a boy. I wore my brother’s clothes, dude! Not like I cared that much, but I remember being made fun of because I wasn’t wearing Juicy jeans. I didn’t even think about it,” the Daily Express quoted her as telling Vanity Fair.

“But it’s not like I didn’t care that they made fun of me. It really bothered me. I remember this girl in sixth grade looked at me in gym and was like, ‘Oh my God! That’s disgusting - you don’t shave your legs,” she added.

Kate Middleton's sea-themed birthday surprise for Prince William!

Kate Middleton treated Prince William to a high-octane 'sea doughnut' ride for his 30th birthday, which saw him pulled behind a speed boat in a rubber ring, according to reports.

READ: THE QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY GIFT TO PRINCE WILLIAM

Clearly faced with a difficult dilemma (what do you buy the man who has everything?) the Duchess of Cambridge booked her hubby a light-hearted treat, which he enjoyed in Anglesey last week.

According to the Telegraph, the Prince 'roared with laughter' as he was carted off at high speeds behind the boat off the Welsh coast, and returned 'soaked to the skin' after his sea-faring experience.

'For most 30-year-olds who have just inherited £10 million, the last thing they would want to do is freeze themselves on a wet weekend in Wales,' one royal insider told the Sun. 'But this is typical of William."

It's thought Prince William's birthday escapade was watched by wife Kate Middleton, and a 12-strong party of friends and family, which included Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton, as well as Prince William's oldest pals Thomas van Straubenzee, Harry Aubrey-Fletcher and David Jardine Paterson and Guy Pelly.

Afterwards, it's thought the group returned toWilliam and Kate'sremote Angelsey home, for a quiet dinner and drinks.

Clarence House refused to confirm the exact nature of Prince William's birthday celebrations, simply commenting: 'He’ll be spending it in a low-key, private fashion'.

Yesterday it was revealed the Queen gave Prince William a cottage on her favourite Sandringham for his landmark birthday, while Kate Middleton is reported to have given him a Nicky Phillips portrait of herself, costing £25,000.

Prince William's 30th birthday gift from the Queen

Prince William was reportedly surprised with a £25,000 portrait by wife Kate Middleton on his 30th birthday last week, which sounded pretty good to us. But now it seems the Queen has gone one better.

According to insiders, the monarch gave Prince William a cottage at her sprawling Sandringham estate for his big 3-0, which will be ready for use later this year.

It's not known exactly which cottage thePrince was give on the 20,000-acre Sandringham estate.

But insiders say a property at one of the Queen's favourite residences is 'definitely being made ready' for Prince William and Kate Middleton this summer.

'A property is definitely being made available to William and Kate this year and a plan is in place for William to have his own place on the estate,' one insider told the Mail.

‘He’s a country boy and loves Norfolk, just like his father and his grandparents. It’s a lovely, peaceful place and William adores it.’

Sandringham Castle is thought to hold special memories for Prince William and Kate Middleton, who spent their first Christmas together there, with the rest of the Royal Family last year.

It's thought William and Katehave often visited Sandringham's Wood Farm Cottage, used as an informal country retreat by the royals - for romantic weekends away.
