What a Funny Bikini Bithday Cake
Bipasha Basu had multiple celebrations on her birthday last Saturday. The actress cut a lot of cakes, but the one by her good friend Deanne Pandey was the best.

The cake had a sexy girl in a black bikini with dumb bells and the caption “Curves are Back”. The cake also had replicas of fishes and a red car.

Bipasha Basu was obviously thrilled at the sight of the cake. She wrote on twitter: “My cake was hilarious! Apparently this is how I look! Thanks @deannepanday! ha ha ha!”

By the way, Bipasha had a very special birthday this time. The celebrations began right during her promotional stint for Players. And she got so many bouquets over the weekend that her place now reeks for flowers.

“Waking up with a big smile to beautiful flowers all over my house, last 3 days! Lilies in Pink and White (my fav) and their heavenly smell! Happiness!” Bipasha Basu wrote.

Jennifer Lopez heats up American Idol panel... as show bosses confirm Ryan Seacrest is not being axed

It was business as usual this weekend as the faces of American Idol put on a united front at a Hollywood event in the run up to the 11th season.

Jennifer Lopez brought glamour to the Television Critics Association 2012 Winter Tour in Pasadena on Sunday, while Fox TV executives slapped down rumours that Ryan Seacrest is leaving the show after more than a decade as host.

The entertainment industry has been abuzz over the last few days as insiders claimed that negotiations to renew Ryan's contract had become tense.

The 37-year-old is nearing the end of a final three-year contract extension with the network.

And there were fears that TV and radio presenter would not return after the end of the upcoming season, even though he gets paid a reported $15 million a year to host the popular show.

The rumours first surfaced in The Hollywood Reporter.

But on Sunday night - as American Idol judges Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson all lined up to talk about the upcoming series - Ryan and Fox executives put on a united front.
Both sides said they want him to host the show beyond this season.
But Fox entertainment chief Kevin Reilly says it has been a 'tough negotiation' to make that happen.

However, both Ryan and the executives remained tight-lipped about the state of those talks at news conferences on Sunday, a few weeks before the show returns to US TV screens on January 18.

On a lighter note, Jennifer, 42, seemed refreshed and ready to work after taking a break with her younger lover, 24-year-old dancer Casper Smart.

The mother-of-two poured her curves into a bright orange dress and showed off her toned legs.

She seemed to enjoy herself at the event and even playfully twirled Steven's hair at one point.

The actress is currently divorcing her third husband singer, Marc Anthony.
New Girl star Zooey Deschanel was also on hand to talk about her hit sitcom.

Like Jennifer she is going through a divorce, having split from her husband of two years, singer Ben Gibbard.
But she was also all smiles, laughing and joking with the executives who work behind-the-scenes on her show.
There were some familiar faces at the event where the stars come out in force to talk about the upcoming TV season.
Former 24 star, Kiefer Sutherland, is returning to the small screen in the series Touch, about a father who discovers his autistic, mute son can predict events.
Jorge Garcia - the actor who played Hugo Reyes in Lost - was also there, promoting his new series, Alcatraz.

When SRK, Salman and Aamir Khan avoided each other

On Saturday evening, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan came under the same roof but at different intervals.

Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan in the same space... that's some news, isn't it? Of course not together for any film but at an event. It took the Mumbai police to get the three warring Khans of Bollywood come under the same roof but, like their film releases, they came in different time intervals.

On Saturday evening, the three Khans were seen at the Umang Police Function though they never shared stage-space. Perfectionist Aamir Khan was the early bird who performed on 3 Idiots song Aal izz Well.

Salman Khan was undoubtedly the scene-stealer being his usual self on the stage and indulging in some smart repartees with host Manish Paul. Being a police event, he admitted how he loved playing a cop in several films with Dabangg topping the list. Buzz is that Salman came in his chopper directly from the Bigg Boss finale that happened earlier that evening.

Shah Rukh Khan made a late entry by 11:30pm and played cocky with the cops. He was gracious enough to say that while Don ko gyarah mulko ki police dhoond rahi hain, only Mumbai police is capable of catching him.

An important point to be noted is that each Khan arrived only after the other had left. None of their timelines overlapped. Perhaps Mumbai police knows how to maintain law and order in the city.

'Katrina Kaif has outdone herself in Chikni Chameli'

He’s made the Who’s Who of the industry dance to his tunes and after nearly two decades of choreography, Ganesh Acharya is still going strong. And his latest number, Chikni Chameli from Karan Johar’s Agneepath has already sent the nation in a tizzy.

“I put myself to test — this was my first choreography for Dharma Productions and I was keen on proving myself. Also, Katrina (Kaif) is associated with a graceful sensuality. I wanted to present her differently to the audience,” he states, adding, “I wouldn’t be wrong in saying that post this song, Katrina’s image has undergone quite a change.” Ganesh confesses that while filming this number, he constantly had Sheila Ki Jawani (from Tees Maar Khan) as a reference point. “Katrina performed brilliantly and I knew both the numbers would be compared but undoubtedly, she has outdone herself in Chikni… I wanted this number to surpass regular item numbers and hence, worked on her expressions, attitude and movements,” he recollects, adding, “The popularity of the number worries me too — I have set a very high benchmark for myself.” The choreographer is all praise for the makers of the film.

“Karan’s (Johar) films usually have a lot of music in them but a number like this is a first for them too and I didn’t want to give him a chance to complain,” he quips.

Looking back, Ganesh feels that the way choreographers are perceived has changed. “Dance and Bollywood go hand-in-hand and choreographers are finally being given their due.

Choreographers are being recognised for individual numbers in films without having the stars attract all the attention,” he says.

And whosoever thought their task was easy, is mistaken. “My job isn’t just about teaching dance — I need to know the script, the situation, camera angles and so on. Moreover, I constantly need to upgrade. We are working in times when new dance forms emerge every second day,” informs Ganesh. The choreographer feels that there are few actors with two left feet. “Those who say can’t dance actually have more inhibitions about their abilities. They all have a lesson to learn from me,” he signs off.

Sonakshi Sinha's Lootera to release on Eid

Sonakshi Sinha considers Eid to be a lucky date for a film release. Her debut film Dabangg released on Eid in 2010 and went on to become one of the biggest hits of all time.
Now she has asked the makers of her next release Lootera to release the film on Eid yet again. However, the problem is that Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger also releases on the festival day.

A source reveals, "Sonakshi has asked producers Ekta Kapoor and Vikas Bahl to get an Eid release date for Lootera. She feels it's an auspicious date and is insisting they lock it for her film with Ranveer Singh."

Since Salman has already secured the Eid date with ETT, the makers have planned to bring it out on another Eid holiday (Bakri Eid on October 26). The source adds, "There was no way Sonakshi would want to have a release the same date as Salman. It would not only affect the box-office performance of Lootera but also send out a wrong signal. With both the films securing Eid dates, the problem has been sorted."
