Sonam And Bipasha's new dostana

At a recent do to promote their film, Sonam Kapoor and Bipasha Basu were seen bonding big time.

The girls hugged each other, air-kissed and held hands, while Abhishek Bachchan and Neil Nitin Mukesh greeted each other with hugs on the stage.

The four of them proceeded to shake a leg on some peppy numbers from their film. The co-stars were certainly enjoying each other's company. Only time will tell if it's a new dostana or one, just meant for the camera!

Sonakshi's film avoids clash with Salman's

Dabangg hit theatres around Eid in 2010. Then, the Salman Khan-Sonakshi Sinha starrer went on to become a hit at the box-office. It’s an open secret that Salman believes that the Eid-ul-Fitr period is auspicious for him and his films. But not many know that Sonakshi too considers the day lucky for her.

As a result, she was keen for her next film, Lootera, to release on Eid. The actor, in fact, spoke to the makers Balaji and Phantom Productions about this as well. However, later she found out that Salman’s Ek Tha Tiger is also expected to release around the same time.
“Sonakshi didn’t want her film to clash with Salman’s of course. He has helped her a lot in her career. So the makers suggested releasing the film on the other Eid, ie. Bakri Eid on October 26. So everyone, including Sonakshi, agreed,” informs a unit member.

When contacted, co-producer Vikas Bahl from Phantom Productions confirms “Yes, we are set to release the film on Bakri Eid (October 26). Sonakshi has had an extremely good outing around the Eid period earlier. So, we decided to release it around the festival this year too.”

Ek Tha Tiger, for the uninitiated, was originally scheduled to release on June 1, 2012. But reports claim that Salman’s friend and actor Aamir Khan, wanted to release his next film Talaash on the same date. Following which, Aamir requested Salman and producer Aditya Chopra to shift the release date of Ek Tha Tiger, and they agreed.

Of late, Sonakshi has been making a lot of news about Lootera, which bring her together on screen with Band Baaja Baraat actor Ranveer Singh. And if rumours are to be believed, the two had a short affair. Though both the actors, on many occasions, have denied the stories.

Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Lootera is a classic love story, set in the ’50s. Motwane has already wrapped up a schedule in Mumbai. Last week, the cast and crew landed in Dalhousie for the next schedule.

Sonakshi’s other films in 2012 include Shirish Kunder’s 3D flick Joker (with Akshay Kumar) and Prabhudeva’s Rowdy Rathore (again with Akshay). Other releases might include Dabangg 2 and Son Of Sardar (SOS) starring Ajay Devgn.

Sonam Kapoor sizzles on MAXIM Magazine cover

Sonam Kapoor looks absolutely stunning on the cover of Maxim India's sixth anniversary issue. She is tagged as "sexy and seductive" on the cover. The style diva is clad in a short, silver-gray satiny number.

Sitting atop a black chair with subtle come-hither expression and tousled hair, Sonam looks radiant and spells confidence. Her minimal eye make-up and ever-so-light lip colour highlight the relaxed mood of the shoot.

This is not her first shoot with Maxim. She has featured as the cover girl in its August 2010 issue also.

Our take: Sonam Kapoor has aced the look in the cover. She justifies in all her outings that she is one of the most definitive style divas around today.

Hot Mallika Sherawat sizzles on the cover page of WMB

Bollywood sultry beauty Mallika Sherawat looks absolutely stunning on the cover page of WMB (World's Most Beautiful) 3D magazine. The hottie is attired in flannels which are neatly knotted, denim hot pants and killer high heels.
Interestingly, she is tagged as 'Bollywood's Controversial Leading Lady' on the cover. It's Mallika's first 3D photoshoot and she seems really excited about it.

Amidst seething heat of a desert, Mallika seems to be asking for a hitchhike by holding a placard that goes like 'Hollywood or Bust'.

It's heard that during the shoot, the actress was not allowed to drink water, although it was scorching hot on the location. The reason being that the makers wanted to prevent Mallika's tummy from bulging out and to keep the shot just perfect.

Kate Middleton to Turn 30 with Quiet Celebration

London - The former Kate Middleton turns 30 on Monday -- but royal fans expecting a lavish birthday bash to mark the milestone will be disappointed.
Britain's Prince William, left, Catherine Duchess of Cambridge, 2nd left, Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary pose for the cameras in Copenhagen
Palace officials say the Duchess of Cambridge's birthday celebration will be a "low-key and private" affair, appearing to quash press reports that she will see off her 20s with a fun '80s themed party, complete with karaoke, in a throwback to her more carefree bachelorette days.

The choice of a muted event seems appropriate: After all, the duchess is not just starting the fourth decade of her life -- she is also embarking on her career as a future queen, charged with renovating a monarchy that has become somewhat creaky with age.

"She's done very well, playing a very good supporting role to Prince William and complementing him as part of a team," commentator Robert Jobson said of her first few months as a royal.

"We've not seen much of her, but when she's in public she has performed with aplomb," added Jobson, who is the author of "William and Kate: The Love Story."

The past year has seen momentous changes for Kate, with a fairytale wedding to Prince William, travels around the world and glamorous appearances that marked her transition from commoner to the world's most talked-about princess and style icon. She has won rave reviews for her sparkle, her elegant sense of style, and her common touch with the public. The media, yearning for a young and beautiful royal, documented -- and largely admired -- her every move.

But now that the excitement around her grand wedding has subsided, she is expected to quietly settle down into her royal duties -- and for much of this year, that means helping Queen Elizabeth II celebrate her Diamond Jubilee, without upstaging the monarch in her moment of glory, and also playing a supporting role at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Until recently, palace officials have been quiet about what exactly her role will be, keen to protect her transition into a fully fledged royal from the glare of the media limelight. The newlyweds, who live in a remote corner of north Wales, were said to favor a "quieter life" after the massive global media coverage of their April wedding. Outside of a tour of Canada and California in the summer, the duchess has only taken a handful of official engagements.

The former Middleton ventured out on her first solo engagement in October -- a private charity dinner for about 30 guests -- but is yet to make a public speech on her own.

That is set to change. This week, royal officials finally gave the first insight into her new role when they announced which charities she's supporting, including the Scouts and a group that helps drug addicts. More organizations will follow later, officials said.

The royal family considers patronage of charities an important aspect of their social role, and frequently makes visits and attends events to boost the charities' profiles. William is involved in many diverse nonprofits, while his mother, the late Princess Diana, was well known for her active support for numerous charities including organizations that helped AIDS patients.

Even after her separation from Prince Charles, Diana actively campaigned for a ban on land mines, and visited Angola to champion that cause.

The former Middleton is expected to take on a similar role, eventually designating more charities she wants to be involved with as a way for her to carve out her own niche, based on her own priorities and concerns.

She has already taken on an unofficial role as a champion of the British fashion industry, wearing the creations of British designers at home and abroad, showcasing their work in the best possible light.

On top of such duties, the duchess also has a busy year ahead with the queen's jubilee, a major celebration of the monarch's 60 years on the throne that will take see numerous celebrations throughout Britain and the Commonwealth, peaking in a major celebration in London in early June.

The royals are expected to play a supporting role by traveling overseas to represent the queen. William and Kate are due to journey to Malaysia, Singapore, the Solomon Islands and the tiny Pacific island of Tuvalu as part of the festivities.

The queen and her husband will avoid overseas travel because their advanced years make such trips challenging. The queen's husband, Prince Philip, recently spent time in the hospital with a heart problem.

William and his wife have also indicated that they intend to take up residence at an apartment in London's Kensington Palace once his military commitment at an air base in Wales has been met. That will give the likely future king and queen even more visibility in the capital.

Inevitably, much of the speculation about the duchess's future has centered on royal lineage -- Is she going to start a family soon? That, however, is anyone's guess, and despite incessant tabloid baby chatter, there doesn't yet appear to be great pressure on the newlyweds to produce an heir.

"It's early days yet, and they're both getting used to their roles," said Jobson, adding that the presence of other young members of the royal household, such as Prince Harry, helps to ease the pressure on William and Kate.

Many of the more senior women in the royal family were mothers in their 20s, but times and expectations have changed -- both inside and outside the royal household. By the age of 30, the queen had given birth to two of her four children. Her daughter, Princess Anne, married at 23 and had her first child, Peter Phillips, four years later. Diana also married early and gave birth to William, her first child, at 21.

I worked at a petrol pump: Mugdha Godse

I went to the MMCC in Pune, where I studied commerce. I remember, when I entered college, I wanted to do every thing at one go - study, party and have boys friends. I had a handful of friends who were my partners in crime for fun and work.

My friends and I worked for some extra money so that we could be more indulgent. I did odd jobs like selling oil or doing a survey at petrol pumps. We'd make ` 100 a day. Coming from a middle class family, I had a nominal pocket money - ` 300 a month. The extra money was used to take care of our so called 'lavish fun'. While movies occupied most of our free time, we also enjoyed lunching outside, and sometimes even having beer in the afternoon!

Afternoon discos, and hanging out at Vaishali, a famous place on Pune's FC Road was another passtime. Sometimes we'd get hold of studious kids to gain entry into the british library, where we'd chill for hours.

There is loads of lukhagiri to talk about. Mass-bunking and going for coffee instead. Another pastime was puncturing bikes and car tyres.

However, there was one class I never bunked. I loved attending the Economics lecture. No one bunked her lecture, especially the boys, as she was very beautiful. I was quite in awe of her.

Among all the masti, I also remember I moment of pride. During my standard 11 exams, I was given a class 12 English paper by mistake, which I ended up solving! Being an 'outstanding' student that I was (pun intended), I didn't know my syllabus so didn't guess it wasn't meant for me. I was in a hurry to catch a film, so took to solving it right away. And though I found it to be difficult, I assumed it was because I hadn't studied. After the exam, when my friends and I started discussing the paper, to my horror I realised that I solved the wrong paper for my final exam. I met the principle and thankfully the issue was resolved.

Back track 1. Fav canteen snack: Vada pav

2. Fav subject: Economics

4. Topmost 'outstanding' activity: Puncturing tyres

5. Hangout budget: ` 10 every day

Jism 2 is a romantic thriller: Dino Morea

I wish I knew the Nizams, says Dino Morea, who was in Hyderabad on Thursday

On " Jism 2"...
I am co-producing "Jism 2" along with Pooja and Mahesh Bhatt. The first look is already out and some have appreciated it, while others are feel it is vulgar and is a publicity stint. But I honestly feel the picture is hot and lovely. And like Pooja tweeted, beauty does lie in the eyes of the beholder. So it's about how you look at the picture.

The film is a romantic thriller and the female protagonist has a very interesting role. I can't say much about who she is, but I can tell you the film is not a sequel to "Jism". It's like the James Bond series where every film is different, but the mission is the same. It's in the same genre - about crimes of passion.

On Sunny Leone being part of the cast
As everyone knows, both Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja have spoken to her. If everything works out, we would love for her to be a part of the film. But nothing is confirmed yet.

On his Hyderabadi connection I love the biryani here. I wish I knew the Nizams, unfortunately I only started coming to Hyderabad ever since I started working. And I fell in love with the food here. I've been to the Film City too many times. But apart from shooting, there's nothing much to do. I have a few friends here like Ram Charan Tej and Rana. They are both really good buddies.

I'd never stay in an unhappy relationship: Kelly Brook

Kelly Brook has said that she would never stay in a relationship that she wasn't totally happy with, even though she knows that break-ups are hard.

The 42-year-old actress, who is currently dating former rugby player Thom Evans, also said that she can't see the point of staying with someone for the sake of it and would rather be single.

"I've been through some big break-ups and although it's hard to do, I'm never one to just go along for the convenience of it, so I'll always follow my instincts," Contactmusic quoted her as telling Britain's Glamour magazine.

"If you're not completely happy in a relationship, I think you've just got to know that if you're feeling like things aren't going right, then just have the faith that maybe you both deserve better. Don't live in fear of losing someone," she added.
