Demi Moore has a "love-hate relationship" with her body

Actor Demi Moore says she has a "love-hate relationship" with her body but says she has finally grown to accept it. The 49-year-old, who has been the subject of concern for her thin frame following the split from her husband Ashton Kutcher, said she likes to be in control and hates to feel like her
body is betraying her, reported Harper's Bazar.

"I have had a love-hate relationship with my body. When I'm at the greatest odds with my body, it's usually because I feel my body's betraying me, whether that's been in the past, struggling with my weight and feeling that I couldn't eat what I wanted to ear, or that I couldn't get my body to do what I wanted it to do.

"What scares me the most is not knowing and accepting that just about everything is not in my control. That makes me feel unsafe. I think being comfortable is perhaps overrated. I think a better word than comfortable is accepting. Accepting weaknesses and strengths and being more able to celebrate all of it as a whole package," Moore said.

However, the actress said she has finally come to terms with her body and has accepted getting older. "I think I sit today in a place of greater acceptance of my body and that includes not just my weight but all of the things that come with your changing body as you age to now experiencing my body as extremely thin-thin in a way that I never imagined somebody would say to me, 'You're too thin and you don't look good.'"

Movie Review - Players

British director Peter Collinson -- may the lord bless his soul -- and American director Felix Gray Gray -- verily alive and kicking -- must love their movies The Italian Job they directed in 1969 and 2003 respectively. But if the latter was to watch its Indian adaptation Players by our desi men in white, Abbas Mustan, he might either pull out his hair in disappointment, or -- on the contrary, after comparing his film to its botched up Indian rip-off -- be driven to a megalomaniacal delusion of having himself made a cinematic masterpiece, or -- at worst -- might pull up the Indian makers for artistic defamation and aesthetic butchering. For Players is a film to guarantee migraine to those immune of headaches, fits of yawn to the insomniacs, and trainloads of frustration to the lovers of action genre. It’s a film whose ticket you will happily gift to those you want revenge from!

Alright, let’s not be unfair. For starters, expecting Abbas-Mustan to go one better on the two directors mentioned above would be to expect an Indian high jumper to land on the moon. And then we have a bunch of non-actors, the esteemed coterie of Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Sonam Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Sikander Kher competing among themselves to see who hams less and fluffs least. Of all, Deol is the most fortunate, not because he acts well, but because his character is bumped off half way through the film, thus sparing him of the remaining monstrosity of this film. If anything was left, we have Pritam’s tortuous tunes foisted upon us, one song after another. Now, do so many pits make a hit? Go figure!

Storyline: Charlie (Abhishek), a chartered accountant by day and a conman by night, comes to know of a gold bullion worth 1000 crores being trainsported from Russia to Romania. The aim is to gather a team of experts and pull off this daring heist. The experts he manages to bring together are: Ronnie (Bobby Deol) an illusionist, Riya (Bipasha Basu) a locomotive engine expert, Bilal (Sikander Kher) an explosives specialist, Spider (Neil Nitin Mukesh) a master hacker and Sunny (Omi Vaidya) the prosthetic make-up specialist.

There’s also Naina (Sonam Kapoor) who harbours a crush on Charlie but is left flaring her nostrils for the most part as he cozies up with Riya.

Now, will this team of the world’s best players (as we are duly told) pull off this dangerous heist? Is there a rat in the pack? Will someone betray and backstab? If yes, how will the remaining players square up with him or her?

What Players essentially lacks is a deft execution on the part of directors. The director duo, known for relying too heavy on Hollywood inspiration throughout their career, brings in their old world style that’s well past its expiry date. Sample this: all the players (the would-be looters, that is) are introduced in a sloppy sequence set inside a hospital one by one like strippers in a burlesque show. It’s a sequence you can’t help laughing at, and to your gaiety note that you are not the only one doing so in theatre. Rest assured there are such sequences aplenty when the film wants you to gawk seriously, but you laugh perilously.

The action sequences, the train robbery, the car chases, are tacky, at best. The twists and turns are so lousy that you almost foresee them and can’t help going ‘aha!’ at your ‘clairvoyance’ when they come to pass. Among the actors, only Neil Nitin Mukesh and Omi Vaidya deliver what comes close to the definition of a performance.

Before the film’s release, Abbas-Mustan promised that ‘Players’ will “blow your mind away”. Mind? Well, it certainly blows your money and time away.

Last word: Players is neither glitter, nor gold. I say go for old, and watch ‘The Italian Job’ DVD instead.

Katrina Kaif and Shahrukh Khan ready for an epic romance!

Yash Chopra, the director of epic love stories, is ready to don the director’s cap after a long gap of eight years with a film that will have Shahrukh Khan romancing Katrina Kaif for the very first time.

2012 will be a Khantastic year for Katrina Kaif, all courtesy Yash Raj Films. She’s already been shooting for Ek Tha Tiger with Salman Khan. And she’ll be seen doing stunts and flirting with Aamir Khan in Dhoom 3. But what everyone is waiting to see is Katrina Kaif’s pairing with Shahrukh Khan in a film to be directed by none other than the master of romance, Yash Chopra.

Reportedly, the yet untitled film will be another epic love story by Yash Chopra. It will have a panoramic sweep and will be shot in London, Thailand and India. One of the prime locations for shooting in India is said to be Kashmir, where Chopra has shot some of his past films.

Shahrukh Khan is presently totally devoted to his family after being busy with his last two releases Ra.One and Don 2. He’s already been having script sessions and has had meetings with Aditya Chopra, who will be the film’s producer.

It might be noted that Yash Chopra had announced his retirement about seven years ago when his film Veer Zaara swept the boards at award functions, leaving nothing to grab for the young filmmakers. And now that he’s returning to direction after such a long gap, one expects nothing short of a cinematic masterpiece from him. And with Katrina Kaif and Shahrukh Khan in the lead, what say!

Firstlook : Picture And Poster of KAHAANI Movie and Vidya Balan as Goddess Durga

The Dirty Picture actor seems to be all set to surprise fans with her pregnant woman act in director Sujoy Ghosh’s next
Vidya Balan has got the men drooling with her teasing moves in her forthcoming film The Dirty Picture. And just when you thought that the girl was going overboard with the “dirty” image, she has taken a complete U-turn in her next with director Sujoy Ghosh.  KAHAANI is the story of a pregnant woman who is searching for her lost husband.

The film has been shot in Kolkata at real locations and if the director is to be believed, this will be one of Vidya’s most memorable performances. The surprise package in Kahaani is a song sung by Amitabh Bachchan, who has also been a part of Sujoy’s last film, Aladin.

The music of the film has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar and we’ve heard that they have worked really hard to come up with a different sound. The buzz about the film too seems positive. A few industry insiders who have seen portions of the film claim that this is her most bravura performance till date. Some say that Vidya of Parineeta and PAA is back in full form in KAHAANI. We are waiting for the trailer now!

Deepika Padukone to fight for Ranbir Kapoor

Ayan Mukherji’s next Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani casts the ex-lovers Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor, but it’s going to be a fierce battle for the Desi Boyz gal. As there is going to be one more actor who is going to fight for Ranbir’s love in this triangular love story.

While the makers of the film are keeping mum on who would be cast in that role, we know it’s going to be a tough fight for Dippy to win back her lover in this romantic flick.

It seems whenever the dishy couple got paired up they had to go through their fair share of hiccups before the happily ever after. Remember, in their last film together Bachna Aae Haseeno, Ranboo’s character had to ask forgiveness from all the girls whose hearts he had broken, before Dippy accepts his love. Looks like this time around it’s Dippy’s turn to do all the crying and fighting for love!

The modalities are currently being worked out." The broadcasters of 10 Ka Dum were unavailable for comment.
