Bigg Boss 5: Shraddha tries to entice Shakti Kapoor - Day 3

The weekly task (Pahiya Ghumao, Kismat Chamkao – where they have to ride a rickshaw to different cities) continues. The contestants complain and curse about their decision to participate in Bigg Boss 5. They are extremely tired and exhausted from cycling day and night to reach their next destination and complete the task. After all the complaining, the contestants finally reach Lucknow. As a part of the performance, Shakti Kapoor is dressed as a nawab while the others are dressed as Mujra dancers who try to entice the Nawab with their adas. Shakti is also assigned as a judge for this performance and he has to decide who the best and worst dancers are.

Sonika Kaaliraaman has a new task at hand – getting rid of a little bird that has flown into the house. While the bird keeps dodging her, Sonika asks Mandeep for help to get rid of the bird, but one look at the little thing and Mandeep hides in one of the bedrooms. A frantic Mandeep then reveals to Sonika that she has a deathly phobia of birds in an enclosed atmosphere. The wrestler can’t stop laughing at her misery.

The constant ragging causes the so-called head-strong contestant, Mandeep, to cry in front of Bigg Boss. She continues crying even after coming out of the confession room where she is consoled by the other contestants. Shakti Kapoor and Nihita Biswas have their first argument because Shakti is furious that Nihita is comparing herself to others and refusing to participate actively in the weekly task.

Later in the day, Pooja Misrra breaks down, saying that she feels targeted and completely misunderstood in the house. While Pooja feels hurt, Shonali is being highly appreciated by the contestants in the house for her helpful and cheerful personality. Feeling overwhelmed, Shonali also breaks down, being unable to accept all this positive feedback from her co-contestants. The contestants are told to provide their fellow contestants with feedback in one sentence or one word. Mandeep is appointed as a judge for this task. The contestants, however, are unable to follow the rules of the task due to which, Mandeep is punished.

Vida Samadzai is taken aback when she realizes that while she has limited friends outside the house, all contestants inside the house are being extremely friendly towards her and are willing to be her friends. This makes her extremely happy and she cries tears of joy.

Later in the night, Shraddha Sharma starts applying heavy makeup. When Shakti asks her why she is doing so, Shraddha replies it is for him. She wants to ensure that even if Shakti wakes up in the middle of the night to get himself a glass of water, he will see her looking beautiful for him.

Wedding bells for Payal Rohatgi?

Payal Rohatgi and wrestler Sangram Singh, who've been dating for five months, are planning to take the next step, it seems.

A month ago, Sangram met Payal's family, and now, Payal is coming to Delhi to meet Sangram's sister. Sangram said, "I stayed at Payal's place when we came back after our new reality show "Survivor"." But when we asked Payal about her meeting Sangram's family, she said, "Yes, I am coming to Delhi, but to meet my dad. Sangram's parents stay in Rohtak, so I'll be meeting only his sister, who stays in Delhi." She added, "His simplicity attracted me." So is a wedding happening soon? "Well, in the long run, we might, but right now, we both want to concentrate on work for at least two years," she said.

Wearing a bikini is no big deal: Mrinalini Sharma

Other actresses may haw and hum and finally show skin aplenty on and off screen, but model-turned-actress Mrinalini Sharma prefers to talk straight!

The Delhi gal, who is an IPS officer's daughter, and whose film Soudtrack will be released soon, says: 'I am not a hypocrite and I prefer to match my words with my actions. In Soundtrack, I am playing a girl, who is brazen and believes in getting what she wants! That's my most bold role till date!"

First look of Soundtrack movie

Sexy is cool!
Mrinalini, whose bold and bindaas portrayal in Soundtrack opposite Rajeev Khandelwal is creating a lot of buzz, says: "I would never do anything that is obscene and vulgar, but I feel being sexy is certainly cool, especially if you can carry that image with great amount of dignity." Does that mean she is ready to don a bikini onscreen? "Wearing a bikini is no big deal! We all wear it when we go swimming! I fail to understand why people make so much of hue and cry over it! I will never wear a bikini just to titillate the audience, but if a role demands, I know I can carry a two-piece bikini with aplomb" says she.

Shraddha Kapoor loves dandiya

Shraddha Kapoor loves playing dandiya. The festival of nine nights is one of her favourite times of the year.

During this time She loves to play dress up in ethnic wear and dance the blues away with her friends doing dandiya raas. Shraddha says, "I have the fondest memories of growing up playing dandiya. I used to look forward to it so much.I love the joyful feelings in the air. It is my favourite time of the year."

Movie Review : Love Breakups Zindagi

Love and breakups have become a common component of urban zindagi. As much as predictability has become a part of most romantic comedies. This zillionth Bollywood spinoff on the second half of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai is no different!
Jai (Zayed Khan) and Naina (Dia Mirza) are in their individual mismatched relationships. Until they meet in a common friend's wedding. Amidst song-dance routine, cupid strikes Jai by the interval point. Naina is uncertain until her doting mother advices 'wahi karo jo tumhara dil kehta hai' (how pioneering and profound!) Alas she takes a little too long to decide while the viewer has already reached to the conformist conclusion.

Till date, Bollywood has devised only two alternatives for the climax of a film like this. In the feel good format, the other man willingly decides to let go his ladylove for the main hero (like Salman Khan did in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai). The other option is when this other man acts difficult (Jimmy Sheirgill in Tanu Weds Manu). This film belongs to the former feel-good variety.

While the film could have brought some variety with its other assorted couples, the problem with the writing is that all the supporting tracks are half-baked. Jai's friend (Cryus Sahukar) falls for a 'Sheila' (Tisca Chopra) who isn't exactly 'jawaan'. While this odd-aged couple has its moments of charm and comedy, their bonding could certainly have been explored in a better way. The girl from Dairy Milk ad (Umang Jain) has graduated to having ice-creams here after her multiple break-offs, but her sweet revenge spree was far from funny.

The film does have a lighthearted mood throughout but one does feel that its sense of humour, though not bad, could have been more fine-tuned and sharp. While this brand of comedy is anytime better than a senseless slapstick, there is a feeling that the film could have been funnier. At the same time while the director tries to keep things subtle and avoid melodrama, some situations lack the basic intensity that the drama demands. Like Jai's breakup with his first girlfriend (Pallavi Sharda) comes across so
casually that it seems as if nothing has happened. The pacing is slow and the length is a little too long for a predictable film.

Zayed Khan and Dia Mirza share good chemistry and are decent in their acts. Dia has a natural charm. Cyrus Sahukar underplays his character and is the butt of most jokes. Tisca Chopra looks delightful despite playing a (slightly) elderly female. Umang Jain is cute but has a short-lived character. Vaibhav Talwar plays in a limited range but pulls off his part. Satyadeep Mishra is good. Pallavi Sharda and Auritra Ghosh get no scope. From all the special appearances, Boman Irani is hilarious and leaves more impact that Shah Rukh Khan who doesn't do much beyond playing himself and endorsing furniture brand.

Director Sahil Singha doesn't show any innovation in the storytelling of his debut venture but he still has the command to bring a smile on your face, thanks to the breezy romance and the film's optimistic outlook. While being conventional cinema, it isn't essentially exasperatingly cliched.

Neither utterly lovely nor breakthrough! Love Breakups Zindagi is that variety of predictable cinema that is passable.

Bollywood Actress Anjana Sukhani misses dandiya nights

Anjana Sukhani is busy shooting for " Department" and "Maximum" these day because of which she did not get any time off to play dandiya, something which she loved doing when she was in Jaipur.

"I completely enjoyed attending the dandiya parties in Jaipur at the Ashok Club, Jai Club and my school, Vidyashram, and those memories will always be etched in my mind," Anjana told us.

Like everyone, Anjana also enjoyed those events with her school/college friends. "We used to get together and since none of us owned umpteen ghagras and jewellery, we used to exchange the outfits and decide beforehand ke 'Iss party mein I will wear this, so in the next dandiya party, you wear mine'," recalls the actor.

And it comes as no surprise when Anjana lets in that during her school days, she wanted to master the art of dandiya and so she coaxed her friends do join the dandiya workshops in Jaipur. "You know," say Anjana, "We wanted to be perfect at playing the dandiya and, of course, win prizes. But at the eleventh hour, few friends backed out and we were left playing mediocre dandiya."

Anjana also has a grouse with the way the dandiya nights are shaping up these days. "When I was in school, dandiya night parties used to go on till late, but these days, the deadline is 10pm, which I think is unfair because these dandiya nights happen once in a year," says Anjana. Though she really wanted to attend the month long extravaganza in the city, work held her back from coming to her hometown.

Anjana laments, "Those fun days I spent in Jaipur can never come back into my life now. These days, we do get invited to dandiya and garba events, but being an actor, and a public figure underplays the whole idea of enjoying the festival." She adds, "Recently, I visited Nagpur and Ahmedabad as I was invited as the celebrity guest and I enjoyed doing dandiya with the college students there."

Sequel of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster's starts soon

After cashing in on the success of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster for the past week, since its release on September 30, the film's makers have already chalked out plans for the sequel. And we hear that the sequel will go on floors on Thursday, at Kino Cottage in Andheri.

A source informed Mumbai Mirror that the film will feature the original film's cast, which includes Randeep Hooda, Mahie Gill and Jimmy Sheirgill.

When contacted, producer Sunil Bohra said, "We never expected this kind of appreciation for Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster. We've decided to launch a sequel right away. Why wait? At the moment, the excitement is fresh for both the crew and the audience."

When asked how the script for the sequel has already been finalised, Bohra explained, "Director Tigmanshu Dhulia had an idea for the sequel before the release of Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster. He just needed to develop that idea. And now, we have the sequel."

Katrina Kaif turns singer for Dhoom 3

Katrina Kaif's dream of taking her mother, brother and sisters on a long vacation has to be put on hold for the time being.

After completing the current schedule of Ek Tha Tiger in Dublin, the actress will have to start preparing for her character in Dhoom 3 in the month that she had kept aside for her family holiday.

According to sources, Katrina has received an urgent return-to-duty call from Yashraj Films to not just learn some heavy-duty stunts but also exercise her vocal cords for her role in the sequel to Dhoom.

The actress will need to undertake para gliding lessons and a full-fledged singing course for the project. "Katrina has to go one up on the last Dhoom heroine Aishwarya Rai. That's a tall order in itself," informed a source.

Katrina, who had been planning to sing for Ali Zaqfar's album has yet been uninitiated into the realm of music. This will be the first time Katrina will sing for herself in a film.

Apart from the singing, Katrina it seems has a lot of pending work for the same film. She will need to discuss with Aditya Chopra and director Vijay Krishna Acharya about the look, body language, spoken language and attitude of her character in the project.

In fact, the singing portions of her character are now being worked out, waiting for Katrina to come down and lend her voice. Katrina remained unavailable for comment.

Shahrukh Khan bows down to Rajinikanth's demands

Looks like Shah Rukh can do anything for Rajinikanth, even if it means increasing his film's cost. According to sources, Rajinikanth suggested some changes in RA.One's action scenes and King Khan agreed to him instantly.

“During the filming at Whistling Woods, Goregaon West, RajniKant wanted changes in the action and visuals. These changes will be implemented, but it will take some additional VFX, which in turn will add to Shah Rukh’s costs,” a source informed Mumbai Mirror.

SRK not only agreed to the changes, but he would also implement them exactly the way Rajini wants.

“SRK and Sinha (Anubhav) deliberated on Rajini’s changes for a few minutes. The cost to Shah Rukh and the co-producers Eros International will also increase. But Rajini is a master in special effects, his last film involving special effects Robot was a treat. And so, SRK agreed readily to Rajinikanth’s changes. He told Rajini ‘Sir, it will be done exactly as you say’," added the source.

Hope Rajinikanth's suggestions prove fruitful for RA.One.
