Jennifer Lopez tones down her va-va-voom to play a frumpy real estate agent in new film

She's easily one of the most consistently glamorous and sexy celebrities of the last decade.

But Jennifer Lopez looked prissy in unappetising ecru on the set of her new movie Parker in Palm Beach, Florida today.

The 42-year-old actress, who plays an estate agent in the movie, looked almost frumpy in the unflattering blouse and slightly kinder pencil skirt, teamed with tame kitten heels.

It's her second dowdy role of the year after she scaled down the style for pregnancy epic What to Expect When You're Expecting in New Orleans.

And we really shouldn't have been fooled by the rocks that she's got as she seems to be relishing the change of pace.

The newly single mother-of-two beamed broadly as she filmed scenes for the upcoming movie, in which she stars alongside Jason Statham, 44.

The pair have been spotted driving around the locale in a drop-top Bentley.
The crime thriller, based on the Donald Westlake's novel Flashfire, tells the story of a thief called Parker.

He teams up with Lopez's estate agent character for a heist, and the film follows their adventures.

Statham plays the titular villain, who apparently lives by a code of honour that includes never stealing money from people who need it.

Winslet's holiday man-swap: Kate dumps model lover for Richard Branson's nephew after Necker Island trip

She arrived at Necker Island hand-in-hand with one lover. By the end of their stay she had waltzed off with another.

Despite being known for quick turn-rounds in her love life, Kate Winslet’s latest romance with Richard Branson’s nephew Ned must be a new record.

When the 35-year-old actress boarded a flight to the billionaire Virgin tycoon’s £60million private Caribbean island last month, she was pictured with her on-off boyfriend, model Louis Dowler, 35.

Also holidaying on the island, however, were members of the Branson family – and Miss Winslet made headlines when she was called on to rescue Mr Branson’s mother Eve from a burning building during Hurricane Irene.

Among the Bransons was Ned Abel Smith, who rather eccentrically changed his surname to ‘RocknRoll’ by deed poll some years ago.

And it seems he and Miss Winslet ‘hit it off’ to such an extent that when it came to leaving Necker, it was Mr RocknRoll, 33, who accompanied her to New York, where she now lives.

This week the pair were pictured at the memorial service of Mr Branson’s father Ted at the Royal Geographical Society’s headquarters in Kensington, London.

'I feel very empowered': Pregnant Beyonce is positively glowing as she hits the red carpet for fragrance launch

She stole the show at the recent MTV Video Music Awards by revealing she is pregnant with her first child.

And being an expectant mother is clearly suiting Beyonce who looked positively glowing as she hit the red carpet in New York today for her fragrance launch.

The 30-year-old singer floated down the carpet wearing Lanvin's floor-length, off-white silk crepe halter dress.

The goddess-like gown was offset by a jewelled neck and a feathered hemline, with makeup kept to a minimum.

And there was a hint of a small baby bump underneath the feathered creation.

The singer today revealed the idea to announce her pregnancy at MTV came to her in a dream.

'You know, I dreamt it, actually,” she told Access Hollywood of her decision.

Bipasha Basu in New Hairstyle!

Bollywood Actress Bipasha had a piercing done some time back. And she has again modified her looks.

Seems she wants change after her break-up with her long term boy friend John Abraham. She has got a new hairstyle, which will be the look for her forthcoming film “Jodi Breakers”. She is paired opposite R. Madhavan in the film.

Sapna Bhavnani has done the new haircut for Bips. Sapna is the personal hairstylist of Bipasha for a long time now. Bips says that Sapna is aware of Bipasha’s changes in mood, so she has given Bips a new style for her mane. Bips has gone for long hair, with a parting in the middle. Bipasha said that she loves her hair short. But before going to Sapna for a haircut, she asked her friends on phone that what type of hairstyle would be suiting on her. And all said her to get a longer hairstyle. Then Bipasha followed the advice of her pals, and went for a longer hairstyle.

Bipasha’s other releases this year are “Players” and “Singularity”. Both the films are in the post-production stages. Its also being heard that these days, Basu is dating none other than the handsome hunk Shahid Kapoor. Though this news is not an authenticated one!

What do Andy Murray, Pippa and Peaches have in common? At Fashion Week they joined... The Front Pew Crew

At a distance, it all looks so amenable, doesn’t it? The smiles, the glossy hair, the stiff, elaborately calligraphied invitations clasped firmly in hand.

Ah yes, the Front Row club do like to look so effortlessly sophisticated.

I once heard a fashion designer describe the seating plan at his shows as ‘organic’ but, believe me, it’s anything but. The etiquette of who sits where is more carefully choreographed and elitist than any dinner at Downton Abbey.

If you have a standing ticket, you are less than undesirable, probably worse than someone who wasn’t invited at all. If you are front row, on the other hand, you have arrived. More importantly, you are seen to have arrived.

Front rows are reserved for editors of magazines (cool fashion ones, not Woman’s Realm), their fashion directors, buyers from the big stores and, increasingly, celebrity fans of the label. It’s a hedonistic mix, with a rigid pecking order you challenge at your own peril.

The advantages of being in the front row? You inevitably get better freebies left on your chair (a one-off box of different Chanel scents was the best I ever got: it came in a cashmere wrap). You get a closer view of the models’ blisters and thread veins, too, which is always heartening.
You also, occasionally, get to plonk your bones next to a celebrity, which always begs the question whether you should talk to them or not.

I always find it hilarious to watch American Vogue editor Anna Wintour sat next to a rapper in New York she has clearly never heard of.

I love it, too, when the (male) photographers at the end of the catwalk start shouting at all these powerful women, telling them to uncross their legs and ‘move the bloody bags’ because they’re in frame, which always results in a few hot tears that threaten to dislodge the Flutter lash extensions.

What I find striking is that the cast of celebrities changes almost as regularly as the clothes, while the (mainly) women who run the industry reappear, year in, year out, holding on to their gilt chair with such a vice-like grip their knuckles turn white. To be relegated to row two is the fashion equivalent of being culled: your career is over.

But the favour works both ways: if an editor doesn’t turn up to her seat (Jo Elvin, editor of Glamour, was a no-show at Vivienne Westwood — I know, because I sat in her seat one along from Pamela Anderson) I expect she received a stern phone call the next morning.

In Milan, the front row is taken so seriously, many designers video it. After an Armani show, when I almost fell asleep, I was called by the PR and roundly ticked off for not applauding.

It might be entertaining, but is all this front-row action good for business? While designers will deny paying for celebrity patronage, the stars do not get out of bed in time for a 10am show on a Sunday (the Mulberry slot at Claridge’s) for a stick of rock. The star either has a contract with the brand, which obliges them to turn up, or is bribed with a free stay in a hotel, first-class flights, clothes and so on.

This practice was started by the late Gianni Versace (the rock star Prince told me he turned up at the show in Paris because the designer put him up in the Ritz). But rather than help the brand, the stars can often be a distraction. I was so excited to be sat front row next to Justin Timberlake at the Oscar de La Renta show, I forgot to look at the clothes.

Abhishek Bachchan And Aishwarya Rai Bachchan waiting for baby

It is already a known fact in the industry and the public Aishwarya Rai that Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has conceived and is an expecting mom now. It looks that the couple are very excited to be parents when Both Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were found in London where they were doing shopping for their future child. They seemed to be very delighted as they were completely involved in the shopping for the new arrival.

When they both were coming back from abroad, Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar located the couple and approached them to congratulate them at the Mumbai International Airport. The group also had Sridevi at airport who also wished the couple of being parents very soon.

Sources say some days back Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was found at the well-known temple of Siddhivinayak along with her parents to get blessings for the newborn, which is yet to come.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has actually planned to lead a simple low life during her pregnancy and has no thoughts of getting involved in anything which would affect her or her child. She is taking utmost care for the arrival of the new born. It looks like both husband and wife are very eagerly waiting for the new born.

First picture of Kimberley Walsh as Princess Fiona as she prepares to take over from Amanda Holden

It was announced earlier this year that Kimberley Walsh would be replacing Amanda Holden as Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical in October.

And now the first picture of the 29-year-old star in full costume ahead of her debut in the show has been released.

Wearing a red wig, tiara and green dress, Kimberley looks calm and confident in the shot released by producers.

The Girls Aloud star also looks the spitting image of Amanda, who took on a very similar pose for her promotional shot in the musical.

Kimberley will be replacing Amanda in the role of Princess Fiona from October 5th.

The decision was made after Amanda announced she is expecting her second child, and insisted she would not be doing anything to jeopardise her pregnancy after a tragic miscarriage last year.

Jacqueline Fernandez plays extraordinary roles in Krissh 2

According to the information collected, Jacqueline Fernandez is maintaining silence or is being reserved while performing her role in the new forthcoming movie the second part of Krissh named “Krissh 2”. One of her close pal revealed the information in front of the media.

Out of the information generated, Jacqueline’s character is actually a mixture of Mary Jane’s role in “Spiderman” and the high action power packed Alice from “Resident Evil”. In the movie Jacqueline Fernandez will be forecasted as a super woman or super lady cast with basic powers which could be to any extent from thinking and extrasensory to memories to superhuman powers of rapidity, determination, super visualization, and power. To actually perform all these performances and work on this movie, Jacqueline will have to take up a demanding training course for being trained on the action sequences for which she is planning to visit foreign for a period of may be 30 days.

As per the information given it is said that prior to Jacqueline it was Chitrangada who had actually been selected for this lead role in “Krissh 2” opposite Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan.

The film was actually set to release in the month of October and due to few circumstances it will not be and the shoots are planning to be completed by the month of December 2011. Here came the problem for Chitrangada as she had clash of dates of the film with her other projects and had to give up the film “Krissh 2”, for which the producers replaced her with Jacqueline Fernandez.

'Kareena Kapoor out of Shahid Kapoor's guest list'

Shahid Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned for his home-production, Mausam. Shahid has personally invited everyone from Bollywood for the premiere of Mausam. Calling his ex-flames Vidya Balan and Priyanka Chopra but leaving Kareena Kapoor, the one woman with whom he had the longest relationship.

A source said, "Shahid and Pankaj decided the guestlist. They personally called or texted everyone from the industry. But maybe, Shahid didn't want Kareena."

This comes as a surprise because Shahid and Kareena have maintained that that they are cordial to each other and would love to work together again after Jab We Met.

Shahid and Kareena had also been very warm towards each other during the Filmfare awards earlier this year. Saif was also present with Kareena. The three of them had exchanged pleasantries and spent time together.

The reason for their break-up still remains a mystery since both of them have remained tight-lipped about it and moved on. Kareena began dating Saif Ali Khan immediately while shooting for Tashan.

Shahid found love in Vidya Balan while shooting for Aziz Mirza's Kismet Konnection. However, once the film released, Shahid decided to move on. Soon, they stopped talking to each other. According to sources, they drifted apart because Shahid was attracted to tennis star Sania Mirza.

Though, Kareena has been going strong with the Chhote Nawab, it is not the same for Shahid. The actor was seen hanging out with Priyanka Chopra soon after Vidya. Shahid and Priyanka had an on-off relationship interspersed with a lot of fights.

However, they have not let their personal differences disrupt their professional lives. Shahid and Priyanka will be seen together in Kunal Kohli's next untitled film. The three girls in question were unavailable for comment.

He lives in a lab for days and days ... Worse than me. He is a very good musician. He plays the guitar. Every time he’s played for me, it has been amazing … magical”, she added.

In the past, she dated
Aditya Pancholi and Adhyanan Suman but neither of her relationship was successful. Movie Review : Mausam (2011)

Movie: Mausam
Cast: Shahid Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Supriya Pathak, Anupam Kher and Aditi Sharma;
Writer-Director: Pankaj Kapoor;
Rating: ****

There is an absolutely devastating moment of pure drama in this eagerly-awaited far-from-disappointing romance where Shahid Kapoor, playing one of the most deliciously challenging roles of his career, espies from a train the lost love of his life, Sonam Kapoor, standing forlorn in the snow with luggage, like Meryl Streep in 'The French Lieutenant's Woman' or Manisha Koirala in 'Dil Se', waiting for god knows what! The next train? Love? Death? Or the next life?

It's a moment that defines 'Mausam', a film that has some serious flaws, but finally holds together as a work of renaissance art, more remarkable, in parts outstanding, for what it attempts rather than what it finally achieves.
Pankaj Kapoor takes the Muslim-Hindu love story between a Kashmiri refugee girl and a Punjabi boy through an arching sweep of history. Every historical trauma that has defined and defiled India and Indians in the last 30 years props up as a vital image to underline the love story.

And what 'Mausam' finally says is, love becomes impossible in a civilization that chooses to define itself by violence rather than peace. Gandhi? He could be just a spectre that never existed in a world where two young people cannot come together in a clasp of love for the fear of falling into a terror trap.

We have award-worthy performances in 'Mausam' by the hero who happens to be the director's son. But that is just a karmic coincidence, like much of what transpires between the lovers in 'Mausam'.

The film goes from one phase in the couple's life to another, not quite smoothly but not strenuously either. The transitions in their estrangement are mapped out in some finely-written scenes where the couple's smothered affections for one another are manifested in moments of sublime beauty.

The ever-brilliant cinematographer Binod Pradhan captures the couple against breathtaking backdrops in rural Punjab and Scotland.

'Mausam' is one of the best-looking films in recent times. The transitions in time and topography are brought about with a fair degree of inner conviction and outer resplendence.

The synthesis of the lovers' inner and outer world is not always stress-free. The couple's inability to come together through various tragic and traumatic historical conflicts is depicted in scenes that range from the rivetting to the mundane.

Visually the film is a feast.

The film's strong sense of purpose and its love-defining affiliation to socio-cultural incidents leave little space for the incidental characters (of whom there are many) to grow in the plot. That, in a way, is the need of the plot. But you do crave to see more of the lives around the couple and how these lives and the relationships qualify the love story at the film's centre. You want to see the long-lasting friendship between Aayaat's Muslim father (Kamalnain Chopra) and the Kashmir Pundit (Anupam Kher).

And there is a plenty of quality of that sublime stillness in the storytelling - the film's extraneous correctness hides much of the film's intrinsic inconsistencies. Then there is Shahid, standing tall with a performance that puts him right up there among the finest contemporary actors.

Shahid takes us through the film's and his character's romantic odyssey, inconsistencies and all. Forget Tom Cruise. In the Airforce uniform he reminds us of Rajesh Khanna in 'Aradhana'. And that's the highest compliment any contemporary star can be paid.

The director tries hard to merge Sonam in the resplendent ambience. Her performance has enchanting echoes of Kareena Kapoor in 'Refugee'. The camera gives her no room to complain. But in the intensely romantic moments, she looks lost rather than lovelorn.

It's the other girl, the spirited Punjabi kudi Rajjo, in Shahid's life played by Aditi Sharma, who fills up the small space provided to her character.

'Mausam' is about the thwarted love between Harry and Aayaat. When they finally meet during the Gujarat riots, they seem to discover not love but its aftermath, which is a far greater thing than love.

Where the film seems to lag behind is in creating emotional pockets for the couple's mutual feelings to develop. Shahid playing Harry the Punjabi wastrel turned air-force officer and Sonam playing Aayaat the refugee from Kashmir, have several shared tender moments . The stand-out ones all come towards the second-half when loves grows impossible between the couple.

The climactic reconciliation during the Gujarat riots, enacted with supreme passion by Shahid, stands out for its stark dialogues that intercut between the couple's long pent-up feeling of separation and the socio-political forces that have kept them from each other.

The climax on a ferri's wheel appears a trifle manufactured.

Editor Sreekar Prasad's smooth flow in the narration is suddenly stymied in the search for a jolting finale.

But you have to hand it to Pankaj Kapoor. In his directorial debut, he tells an old-fashioned story of love, separation and reunion with flourishes and flashes of great cinema igniting what would in lesser hands, appear to be a trite tale of love gone frightfully cliched.

And yes, Pritam's music is apt. But the best tunes 'Abhi na jao chod kar' and 'Ajeeb dastaan hain yeh', are not his.

Mahie Gill got drunk...

Actress Mahie Gill, who plays an alcoholic in " Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster", gulped a few pints of vodka to get into her character, but she got so high she couldn't get down to shoot.

"One day Mahie came on the set and said, 'I am going to do scenes very nicely.' We had to shoot a song where there was a dance sequence along with a lot of drama," director Tigmanshu Dhulia told IANS. "She asked whether she can have the vodka and I said have it. By the time lights were set, she drank one. But the camera setting was taking time, so she drank more," said the director, adding that after a few drinks "she couldn't even perform simple steps and somehow I wrapped up the shooting".

"Later, she came to know that I am angry with her. She felt so bad that she went back from Gujarat, where we were shooting, to Mumbai. She had to be convinced into believing that everything is fine," said Dhulia. Releasing Sep 30, the film is set in a small town and the story is packed with intrigue, betrayal and ambition between a beautiful begum, her nawab husband and an ambitious gangster. Apart from Mahie, the film has Jimmy Shergill and Randeep Hooda in prominent roles.

'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan' going strong at box office

With no competition from any major release last Friday, the Yashraj movie Mere Brother Ki Dulhan is going strong at box office.

The movie was made at a cost of Rs. 20 crore and it raked in a decent collection of Rs. 37.5 crore nett in its first week run at the theatres. Should Salman Khan act in 'Tere Naam 2'?

Spurred by the super success Salman Khan has been tasting at box office, director Satish Kaushik has been working on the script of the sequel of the 2003 film Tere Naam that starred Salman Khan opposite Bhumika Chawla.

“Already working on the script of 'Tere Naam 2'... it will be ready soon,” Kaushik posted on his Twitter page.

If you recall, Tere Naam had Salman playing a rowdy ex-college boy Radhe Mohan who loses his heart to first year student Nirjara (Bhoomika Chawla), a traditional Brahmin girl. Just when Nirjara reciprocates his love, Radhe is attacked by a gang of thugs, loses his mind and is admitted to a mental asylum.

Now, the question weighing on the minds of all Salman Khan fans is: should Salman do the sequel of ‘Tere Naam’?

Though Kaushik hasn’t revealed the casting plans yet, it’s almost certain that he will consider Salman to carry forward the role.

However, Salman’s stature today is much different from what it was in 2003. Today, he is the numero uno star in B-town and won’t settle for anything that doesn’t befit that stature.

Yet, we would like to hear from you. Should Salman Khan act in ‘Tere Naam 2’?

Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan lead among celebrity endorsers

TAM reports estimate that six percent of television ads feature either of these celebrities

According to recent reports of TAM AdEx, Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan seem to be the marketer’s favourites, with both of them commanding 6 percent of television ads featuring them. MS Dhoni follows with 5 percent of the pie, while Kareena Kapoor, Sachin Tendulkar and Amitabh Bachchan garner 4 percent of the share. Abhishek Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Asin and Saif Ali Khan make it to the top-ten list with 3 percent share.

Among advertisers, Hindustan Lever is the top advertiser using celebrities, while Procter & Gamble and PepsiCo make it to the second and third spot respectively.

Film stars have been the most sought after brand ambassadors by marketers, and they continue to do so. However, as per the recent trends emerging from TAM reports indicate that sportspersons are gaining more shares of celebrity endorsements as compared to film stars on television. The report estimates 21 percent of celebrities on television in the first half of 2011 are from the arena of sports as compared to 10 percent in the first half of 2010.

Meanwhile, film actresses continue to top the table, with 39 percent share of celebrity endorsements followed by film actors with 37 percent. This is a drop from last year’s estimates, where film actresses topped the table with 45 percent share and film actors followed with 42 percent. Television actors and actresses continue their single digit shares with 2 percent each. Interestingly, both professions gained by 1 percent each as compared to last year.

'Speedy Singhs' star Camilla Belle and many actresses (Zarine Khan, Nargis Fakhri, Grace Bears ) is a lookalike of Katrina Kaif !

Katrina and Camilla Belle

People may not know her by face, Camilla Belle, who recently visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar with Akshay Kumar, is the main actress of the cross-cultural sports drama Speedy Singhs which is releasing this Friday. But this American actress is often compared to Katrina Kaif when it comes to looks.

No doubt, both the ladies are blessed with delicate looks, and Camilla Belle’s skin tone, her eyes and even her smile resembles Katrina Kaif’s. If anyone has misgivings, check Camilla’s images where she is sporting fringes and you would be surprised to see how they look like identical twins.

However, unlike Katrina, Camila is into acting since childhood. She made her professional debut in a print ad when she was nine months old. At the age of five she was cast as a lead in her first film, NBC’s thriller, ‘Trapped Beneath the Earth’. She is seen in the films like Poison Ivy II, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, 10,000 BC, The Patriot, and has done several TV shows even. In ‘Speedy Singhs’, she is romancing the main lead Vinay Virmani.

Along with Camilla Belle, there are other beauties who are a spitting image of Katrina Kaif. You are aware of Zarine Khan. Read on to find, who are the other two:

Katrina and Zarine

She still has to shed that plump version of Katrina Kaif image. The comparison between Zarine Khan and Katrina Kaif is inevitable. No matter how much Zarine keeps downplaying the similarity, there’s no denying her startling resemblance to Kat in certain facial features - the rosy lips, the jawline and the nose.

Katrina-Nargis Fakhri

It's kind of creepy, she looks so much like another Katrina in the making. Nargis was selected to romance Ranbir in 'Rockstar' after many fresh faces auditioned for the role. Director Imtiaz Ali was convinced about Nargis being the right gal for the film.

Katrina-Grace

Katrina also has a connection with Vivek Oberoi. His ex girlfriend Grace bears a very close resemblance to Katrina Kaif. Here is she.

Camilla Belle looks as cute as Katrina in fringes.
