WATCH: Demi Lovato Opens Up To ‘Unbelievably Supportive Fans’ In New Video

Demi Lovato is one celebrity who always takes time to thank her fans.

The 19 year-old singer took another opportunity to tell them how much she appreciated their support through her toughest times and how grateful she is for their love.
“I could never imagine my life would turn out this way,” Demi said in the video. “Sure, I had my hopes, but I never thought that I would be performing in front of thousands of people or surrounded by a never-ending spree of unbelievably supportive fans.”
Lovato continued by briefly mentioning her time spent in rehab and how alone she felt then.
“Last year everything stopped, and for the next three months I woke up in a treatment center every day, away from my family and friends. I spent a lot of time and holidays thinking there. I thought about the sadness that I felt, the pain that I was in, and the addictions that I was struggling from.”
While Demi is speaking, a preview of her next single “Fix A Heart” plays in the background. The song is a piano-heavy ballad that highlights Lovato’s strong vocals much like her first single “Skyscraper” off her upcoming album Unbroken.

Unbroken drops Tuesday, September 20th.

Strong men never take tips from girlfriends: Saif Ali Khan

Actor Saif Ali Khan, who is dating actress Kareena Kapoor, says men like him, who are considered sexy and strong, never take styling tips from their girlfriends.

"I never take dressing or styling tips from Kareena as I being a strong and sexy man, know how to dress perfectly and look good," Saif told reporters Saturday night.

The 41-year-old actor, who walked as a show-stopper for designer Mandira Wirk at the ongoing Blenders Pride fashion tour, was seen wearing a black, sophisticated Band Gala suit with matching shoes.

His suit was a perfect tribute to the design inspiration of Wirk who took references from 16th and 18th century Rococo and Baroque style.

Saif, who was looking extremely confident on the ramp, said he was perfectly fine with actress Priyanka Chopra turning down an offer of doing an item number for his upcoming movie "Agent Vinod".

"I am completely fine with that as most of the actresses do not want to share screen space with Bebo (Kareena Kapoor)," he said.

The actor is reportedly planning to settle down with Kareena next year.

On being asked about his marriage plans, he preferred to remain silent, but disclosed his wedding outfit. "Since I belong to Bhopal, I will definitely wear an achka," Saif said.

'Mausam' is My First Love Story Film Says Sonam Kapoor

She is a fan of classic romances of Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters and Sonam Kapoor says that portraying the coy beauty Ayaat, a Kashmiri girl, in Mausam felt like being part of a period novel.

The 26-year-old also calls the film her first love story and her most difficult role so far.

She stars opposite Shahid Kapoor in the movie, which got delayed by a week following objections from Indian Air Force regarding some action scenes. The film will release on September 23 now.

The actress, who is most remembered for her bubbly avatars of Bittu in 'Delhi 6' and 'Aisha', says 'Mausam', set 15-years back, reinstated her faith in love.

"The character is complete opposite of who I am. It is very difficult to say something with just one look or one gesture. This is tough acting. My characters in Delhi 6 and Aisha were loud and had lots of props but this role was difficult," Sonam told PTI in an interview.

"I am a very romantic person and the film, which is about four seasons of love, reinstated my faith love. This is why when I was in Edinburgh, which is the second season in the movie, I felt like I was a part of Emily Bronte's 'Wuthering Heights'," says Sonam.

Ever the romantic, the actress enjoyed the languidness and the innocence of her character in the movie.

"My character in this film has a lot of depth, nobility and subtlety. Every tear and expression says something and if there is a line, it has to convey a wealth of meaning. I was like 'Nutan used to do it'. So I watched all the old movies of Nutan so that I could learn something from her," says the actress.

Veteran actor Pankaj Kapur, who turns director with the movie, set in the backdrop of Air Force, told Sonam and Shahid to write letters and Sonam says it was a difficult exercise.

"It reminded me of our school days when we used to make cards on Rose day and Valentine's day but it was so long back. We have email now which is like SMSes. I did not know where to put 'dear', sincerely or 'lots of love'. I had to relearn it," says Sonam.

Though the actress is part of the tech-savvy generation, she retains a fascination for the old world.

"So much has changed so fast but what is lost is the personal touch. There used to be a lot of thought and little sensitivity but we have become callous, cynical. Technology has given us a lot but it has also taken the humanity out of us," says Sonam.

The actress, who started her Bollywood journey only four years ago, says she does not like doing two-three films together and would rather enjoy each character that she plays.

"I never do two-three films together. My characters in Delhi 6 and Aisha are Delhi girls but I worked hard to make them different. I prefer having female fans because they identify with someone, who is strong, does not care what people think and has an opinion. I don't want to be a show-piece in a movie," says Sonam.

Shahrukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor on Hrithik’s show

As part of the promotions for their upcoming movies, actors Shah Rukh Khan and Ranbir Kapoor have agreed to be part of the finale of Hrithik Roshan’s dance and reality show, Just Dance. The show that opened to a cumulative rating of 4.7 this June and got Hrithik voted as the best debutant judge-anchor imported from Bollywood on to the tube, will wrap up on October 1. The finale episode, however, will be shot in bits and pieces across two or three days in the last week of this month.

Shah Rukh, who will be on the show to promote RA.One, has already shot a promo on the day he launched the music of his fantasy, adventure at Film City, Goregaon. He will shoot his portions of the show two days in advance since he has committed to appear on another reality show on the same day as Hrithik’s finale shoot.
Ranbir, however, will be with Hrithik on the day the latter shoots the finale that has found its finalists in Ankan Sen, Surjeet Bansal and Karan Pangali. Rockstar’s lead actor will crown the winner, who will also shoot a music video with the show’s star-judge at some point in future as a promised prize alongside cash. It’s the first time that three male actors will appear together on a reality show that’s judged by one of them.

It’s rumoured that Hrithik’s debut show is wrapping up before time since it couldn’t manage to get the right numbers. It’s also said that the channel may not consider bringing the dance show back, and if they do so, it may not feature Hrithik. However, our well-placed source from the channel insists that the show is wrapping up a week after its actual deadline but refused to comment on Hrithik’s return. We sent several messages to Monica Shergill, senior creative director, Star Plus. But at the time of going to press, she hadn’t responded.

Screening of ''Havai Dada'' cheers up disabled kids

Mumbai, Sep 17 (IANS) A special screening of 'Havai Dada', a film starring Anupam Kher and Tanuja, here Saturday cheered up disabled children from non-profit organisation ADAPT, formerly called the Spastic Society of India.

The film that has been produced by Karol Bagh Film and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and directed by Ajay Karthik, will witness its world premiere on UTV Movies Sep 25.

'It was a wonderful experience to watch the film with the kids of ADAPT. Their reactions to the film were overwhelming and we had a truly enjoyable time together,' Anupam told reporters here.

Set in a small village of India, 'Havai Dada' revolves around the loving relationship between a man and his granddaughter. He has never travelled in an aeroplane and it's his granddaughter who tries to fulfil his childhood dream.

''Havai Dada' is a movie that revolves around a little girl and her struggles to fulfil a dream and we wanted to share this experience with the kids of ADAPT. It's a story that encourages the kids to emerge stronger from their struggles and is sure to motivate them,' said Sameer Ganapathy, business head, UTV Movies.

Light, enjoyable tracks in ''Love Breakups Zindagi'' (IANS Music Review)

Film: 'Love Breakups Zindagi';
Music Directors: Salim and Sulaiman Merchant;
Lyricist: Javed Akhtar;
Singers: Salim Merchant, Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Shradha Pandit, Shafqat Amanat Ali and Shruti Pathak;
Rating: ***1/2

The music of 'Love Breakups Zindagi' is a testimony of its theme and feel and hence comprises songs revolving around the three words, love, break-up and zindagi (life). Salim-Sulaiman's compositions don't surprise anyone, but neither do they disappoint.

The album has four originals and one remix track.

The first song of the album 'Rozanna', enthusiastically crooned by Salim Merchant, is characterised by a pleasing acoustic beginning. An instantly likeable, candy floss and positive song, 'Rozanna' is moderately paced and gets you hooked, especially with the high octane used to sing the word 'Rozanna'. That is the highlight of the track.

A good start to the album.

It also has a remixed version mixed by DJ A-Myth.

The next one is a song that brings together talented singers like Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal, Shradha Pandit and Salim himself. Called 'Rab rakha', the song has a slight Sufi touch, which is a part of Salim-Sulaiman's inherent style of composition. A hummable track that you would like to hear in loop. However, the only dampener is the few English words incorporated in the song. They seem quite unwanted.

Next, romance flaps its wings with 'Love love love' that has Benny Dayal and Shradha Pandit behind the mike. A song with a strong pop feel, 'Love love love' has a slight similarity to American singer Jason Mraz' 'I'm yours'. But that doesn't take away the interest from this track-it has its own individuality as well. It's peppy and lively, spreading a youthful flavour.

Finally, the album takes a grim turn with Shafqat Amanat Ali, Salim and Shruti Pathak singing 'Chhayee hai tanhayee'. A poignant number that creates a pensive mood, the song has a Sufi flavour and is worth a hear.
On the whole, Salim-Sulaiman have brought to the table a light, entertaining and free-flowing score-a reason good enough to buy the album.

Mumbai, Sep 18 (IANS) Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar, who is slowly making a foothold in the Indian film industry, says he is a big fan of Bollywood star Salman Khan.

The 31-year-old, who made his Bollywood debut with a small-budget film 'Tere Bin Laden', went on to grab a role in Yash Raj Films' 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan'.

No lip lock issues with Aditi Rao Hydari

Although she made her Bollywood debut with 'Delhi-6', Aditi Rao Hydari got noticed in Sudhir Mishra's 'Yeh Saali Zindagi', not just for her performance but also because of her multiple lip locks with co-actor Arunoday Singh. Now the actress says that she has problems doing intimate scenes.

'In 'Yeh Saali Zindagi', all the kissing was completely valid, very organic to the film. I think it's the intention behind whatever scene you put in the film and if that is an honest intention, it doesn't upset either the viewer or the actor in any way,' Aditi said.

'If a film demands an intimate scene and there isn't any, viewers will only feel what's wrong with these people, which world do they live in? So sometimes it's necessary and if it's done beautifully, it's lovely to watch and it's fine,' the actress told reporters here.

Aditi will be next seen in 'London Paris New York' opposite Ali Zafar.

I have changed a lot as an actor: Kalki Koechlin

Kalki Koechlin, who entered Bollywood with Anurag Kashyap's 'Dev D' in 2009, says that she has evolved as an actress in these two years.

'I have changed a lot. As an actor, in 'Dev D' I was very camera-conscious, I was scared to do anything. I was scared to ask for a second take, I just wanted to get the lines right.

'I'm getting involved in the characters. I'm becoming bolder in terms of talking to my directors if I don't understand something. If I want to try something new, if I have an idea, I speak out,' the 28-year-old told IANS.

After 'Dev D', Kalki has played pivotal characters in films like 'Shaitan', 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' and 'That Girl In Yellow Boots'.

I don''t blindly follow a fitness routine: Gul Panag (Interview)

Mumbai, Sep 18 (IANS) Former Miss India and Bollywood actress Gul Panag, who is known to be a fitness enthusiast, believes in having a robust lifestyle but maintains that she doesn't blindly follow a fitness routine.

'My fitness mantra is adaptability. I keep in mind that I need to do 45 minutes of intense physical activity a day, whether I am travelling or whether it is raining. And so I adapt my fitness plan according to the situation,' Gul told IANS in an interview.

'I take into account how my body is feeling on any given day and don't blindly follow a routine for the sake of it,' she added.

The actress, who has been part of films like 'Dhoop', 'Dor', 'Manorama Six Feet Under', 'Hello Darling' and 'Turning 30' feels that gymming is not the only way to stay fit, there are other outdoor options available too.
'There are a countless options other than gymming to stay fit. Taking the stairs, choosing to walk whenever possible, cycling, running outdoors, etc, all help,' she said.

'In fact if one chooses an active lifestyle, one doesn't need to sweat it out in a gym,' she added.
The 32-year-old, who recently tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Rishi Attari, opined that ideally five days of workout is good enough for a healthy lifestyle. This gives the body two days to rest.

Along with physical exercise, the nature of diet is also of prime importance to remain fit and Gul feels that binging is a strict no-no.

'What you eat is very important. I adapt my daily intake of food to the weather, location and my activity levels. I eat sensibly and don't binge,' she said.

The actress specified that women need to take extra care about certain things when they are working out to avoid any problem later.

'The right attire and support is very important, especially for high impact exercises. Women need to bear in mind that after a certain age, there is loss in bone density and they need to focus on strength training,' she said.
'Most importantly if following an outdoor routine, one should always keep one's safety in mind,' she added.
