Kareena resumes shooting for Agent Vinod

Kareena Kapoor resumed shooting for Agent Vinod at Filmistan Studio yesterday. Shrugging off rumours that she had held-up boyfriend Saif Ali Khan’s home production and allotted dates to Salman Khan’s recently released Bodyguard and the Aamir Khan cop caper, Dhuan, the actor says, “They were filming five major action sequences that did not feature me.

Since my solo action shots had already been canned, I moved to Bodyguard that was com
ing up for release. Even Saif was busy with his other film, Cocktail.

I was waiting for him to finish before we resumed work on Agent Vinod.” During the course of the weeklong schedule, Kareena will be shooting an action-packed song and hopes to wrap up the film by September.

Saif, who was called away to New Delhi when his father Mansoor Ali Khan suddenly fell ill with a lung infection, joined her on the set on Monday.

Peeved over constant media speculation about keeping Saif dangling, Kareena points out that her producer-beau was well aware that she was juggling five big films this year — Salman Khan’s Bodyguard that opened this Eid, Shah Rukh Khan’s Diwali sparkler RA.One, Aamir Khan’s Dhuan that comes on Republic Day followed by nephew Imran’s Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu that releases on Valentine’s Day and then Agent Vinod, which could release in December or early next year. “It’s unlikely that I’d delay Saif’s film. What’s his is mine too, so Agent Vinod is as much my baby as it is Saif’s,” she asserts.

Meanwhile Kareena is excited about Bodyguard’s historic march at the box-office. “Ever since the first promo was unveiled I’ve been waiting for Eid,” she says, adding, “I knew that it was a perfect festival release, the right film with the right mood. It’s one of my best roles. Divya is a lot like Geet from Jab We Met (2007), the girl-next-door, who everyone loves. My fans want to see this the kind of Kareena.”

Now Madhur Bhandarkar plans 'Fashion' sequel!

Madhur Bhandarkar had to face some serious roadblocks for his project Heroine. Now that Kareena Kapoor has agreed to slip into the space left empty by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the filmmaker seems to be in a very happy space.

Bhandarkar has not only decided on the schedule for Heroine start-to-finish, but also started with his next project, Fashion Part 2.

A sequel to the 2008 blockbuster, Fashion, Bhandarkar's next project after Heroine will be co-produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and UTV Motion Pictures. Fashion, a film that revealed the darker side of the fashion world, marked the debut of Bhandarkar's production house in 2008.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, "Bhandarkar and UTV's head honcho Ronnie Screwvala were both very keen to make the second part of Fashion.

Fashion did really well and also earned the lead actress Priyanka Chopra a lot of critical acclaim. Looks like finally, Bhandarkar and Screwvala will have their dream come true. They have decied to launch the second part to Fashion in 2012."

Heroine, which had originally gone on floors in June with Aishwarya Rai was halted midway due to the actress' pregnancy. The film will now go on floors in November with the new lead actress Kareena Kapoor. "Fashion Part 2 will go on floors in December 2012," added the source.

Whether the sequel will star Priyanka Chopra, one of three female leads in the original is still not decided. "The cast has not been finalised. Bhandarkar will zero down on a few names and then shortlist them. Right now, he is totally focused on Heroine," said the source.
