Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries cashing in on nuptials

KIM Kardashian and hubby Kris Humphries scored millions by turning their ceremony into a media extravaganza.

The New York Post reported an amount yesterday of US$17.9 million ($17.2m).

The exclusive photo rights to the Hollywood super nuptials were sold to People magazine for US$2.5 million, a source told The New York Post.

But that was just the icing on the couple's cash cake.

Their biggest payout will come from turning the ceremony held over the weekend into a four-hour, two-part TV spectacular called Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event, which will air on US channel E! in October.

The special is expected to pull in between US$12 million and US$15 million for the Kardashian family franchise and for the show's producer, Ryan Seacrest.

The wedding likely cost the celebrity couple very little, if anything at all, experts say.

LA celebrity event planner Tony Schubert said many vendors would have either comped or given huge discounts to the couple in return for the publicity.

"It benefits the vendors, their goods and services [to be] shown to millions of people," he said.
The 30-year-old star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians picked the Sotto Il Monte estate in Montecito, California, for the black-tie affair.

She got three US$20,000 Vera Wang gowns - one for the ceremony and two for later in the evening - all free, and US$400,000 worth of Perrier Jouet Champagne also gratis.

Her US$15,000, 10-tiered wedding cake with chocolate-chip icing and black and white decorations made by Hansen's Bakery was comped, too.

In addition, the US$10,000 worth of invitations by Lehr & Black were free.

"It seems they released the invitation a few weeks ago for obvious reasons. It's all part of the game," Mr Schubert said.

Other costs would have included US$2 million for Mark Gardens floral arrangements of African white roses and black and white decor, tents, lighting and favours.

Caviar, Kobe burgers, truffles, cupcakes and other tasty tidbits for the reception racked up a sweet US$750,000 tab for the nearly 500 guests, which included Seacrest, Lindsay Lohan, Eva Longoria, and Carmelo Anthony and his wife, La La, People reported.

The US$3 million in wedding bling - including the couple's US$1 million nuptial bands and Kim's US$2 million engagement ring, all by Lorraine Schwartz - was deeply discounted.

Even the US$50,000 bachelorette party was sponsored, by Tao of Las Vegas.

Watch this face: Will Kate's 'mini Moss' sister Lottie be the new queen of the catwalk?

Beauty: Is Kate's sister Lottie Moss the new star of the catwalk?
When Kate Moss tied the knot to fiancé Jamie Hince last month all eyes were on the supermodel.

That was until they caught sight of her younger sister Lottie Moss who was among one of Kate's 15 bridesmaids.

Now model agencies are rushing to sign the willowy 13-year-old after setting eyes on her porcelain skin, blonde hair and cheekbones and she's being tipped by fashion insiders to replace her 37-year-old sister as queen of the catwalk.

Vogue said Lottie was 'already showing signs she will follow in her sister's footsteps' according to the Sunday Mirror.

She is just a year younger than her elder sister was when she was discovered, aged 14, at JFK airport in 1988 returning from a holiday in the Bahamas with her father.

Carole White, founder of Premier Models and who launched Naomi Campbell's career, told the Evening Standard: 'Lottie looks beautiful and fresh - a very English rose look.
'Generally you need the height. Kate is an exception to the rule because models need to be 5ft 9in to 5ft 11in. I think Lottie would make a lovely young model.'

The teenager is the daughter of Kate's father Peter and his second wife Inger. She already models vintage clothes for the family store in West Sussex.

However, he family insist she cannot model full-time until she is 14 - which was the age her sister found fame.

Leading fashion expert Karen Kay says Lottie's classical beauty is very 'now'.

She said: 'She’s even got a Cindy Crawford-style mole on her chin. She’s the full package. If she plays her cards right, she could eclipse Kate.'

Kate, who wore a vintage-style cream dress and matching floor-length veil, designed by close friend John Galliano, for her wedding to The Kills guitarist Hince, has an eight-year-old daughter Lila Grace with magazine publisher Jefferson Hack.

Her other bridesmaids included Sadie Frost and Jude Law's daughter - and Moss's goddaughter - Iris and Ella Richards, the granddaughter of Keith Richards, as well as her daughter.

Kate was born in Croydon in 1974 and was discovered by Sarah Doukas, of the model agency Storm.

She pioneered the 'waif' look and became the face of Calvin Klein aged 18. She first appeared in the magazine Vogue in 1993 and in 2007 launched her first collection for TopShop.

Eminem makes £2MILLION from V

EMINEM will be heading back to Detroit with a tidy £2million cheque for his trouble.

The rapper headlined the V Festival in Weston Park, Staffs, on Saturday and Chelmsford, Essex, last night, and pocketed £1million for each gig.

Rihanna, who joined him on stage for Love The Way You Lie, didn't come cheap either. She was paid around £500,000 a night.

That makes it the most expensive two days in V's 16-year history. Bosses might struggle to make as much profit as in previous years but they are exactly the sort of acts who should top the bill.

Marshall Mathers gave the audience just what they wanted, his decade of hits keeping the crowds happy for 90 minutes, especially as he hasn't played the UK in ages.

The set started slowly but Cleanin' Out My Closet and The Way I Am got the crowd on side then a medley with Eminem's group D12 kept the mood going.

The Dido chorus during Stan had hands swaying but sound problems led to chants of "turn it up".

The biggest cheer came when Slim Shady exposed his slim chest. A medley at the end including My Name Is and The Real Slim Shady was decent and Rihanna's appearance brought a huge singalong.

Overall he was good, but worth all that cash? I'm not so sure.

And he probably won't be back for five years either.

The US star could easily have sold out his own nights at London's O2 or Wembley but it's easier to come over and play V.

A source said: "Eminem is a smart guy. Him and his management know they'll make cash quicker and without the hassle of organising and promoting gigs. He has few overheads. He only needs roadies and a DJ."

Eminem belted out a 25-track set. That might be around £40K for every song but it was still a treat to have him.

As for Rihanna, she kept the girls and the blokes entertained as always.

When she bounded on in those shorts, there wasn't a man there without a grin on his chops...
