The leading lady of Bodyguard was unhappy that Katrina Kaif was roped in to add oomph to her film. So now Kareena has got herself a ‘hot’ romantic song with Salman Khan!

After Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor has now developed insecurities about another contemporary actor, Katrina Kaif. We hear that the leading lady of Bodyguard sent out feelers to the makers of the Salman Khan-starrer for a ‘hot’ song featuring her and the Dabangg dude. 

Apparently, this happened after Salman danced to an item number with ex-girlfriend-but-still-a-friend Katrina. After the success of Sheila ki jawani, Kat has become hot property. And as per hearsay the Kapoor gal, who has a strong competitive spirit, wants to ensure she too shows off her hotness quotient in the film. At last the rivalry between the two ladies is out in the open! A few days ago, Salman and Kareena shot a hardcore Bollywood romantic rain song, picturised on the theme track Teri meri prem kahani. And word is that Kareena is looking super-sexy in this one.

It would not be wrong to say (even if Kareena doesn’t like to hear it) that Kat is fast becoming the next choice for the ‘reigning queen of Bollywood’ tag. The Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara gal’s consistent performance at the box office and her hardworking attitude has made her part of the A-list actors’ coterie. And one of the current leading ladies of Bollywood, Kareena seems to have a lot more than just work on her plate (impending wedding to beau Saif Ali Khan) right now. Letting go of that coveted position is not an easy thing to do, especially in an industry where married female actors have great difficulty in landing plum roles. No wonder the queen bee is insecure of her successor. 

This is not the first time two actors cast in the same film have had jealousy pangs. Remember when Kangna Ranaut was worried if Priyanka Chopra would overshadow her in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion? Though they appeared friendly the two shared cold vibes on the sets. And there was a time when Karan Johar had great trouble dealing with friends-turned-foes Rani Mukerji and Preity Zinta while filming Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. 

At last here’s some goss to reinstate the age-old belief that two female actors can never be comfortable around each other, forget being friends!

Emma Watson’s complaints about not finding a man have all been in vain.

The Harry Potty hottie has recently said that the opposite sex find her intimidating but she’s been copy spotted smooching her co-star, Johnny Simmons, from the upcoming flick The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

The 24-year-old American actor has had a bit of a bad-boy past, which could explain why he’s not scared of Emma. What’s to fear about Hermione if you’ve had run-ins with the cops, right?

The pair have been spotted before but denied they were an item.

But now it seems Emma Watson has bewitched her latest co-star after they were spotted embracing in Los Angeles.

Emma, 21, looked ‘besotted’ as she tenderly kissed Johnny Simmons, 24, who stars with her in the upcoming £30 million drama The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.

The couple have been spotted together before, but previously it was denied they were in a relationship.

Yet there could be no doubt that they are deeply involved as the Harry Potter star, in a multi-coloured maxi skirt, white sweater and sandals, and Johnny were locked together in a lingering clinch outside a restaurant in Santa Monica. 

 

Emma has fought hard to shake off her prim schoolgirl image after playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films.

And her new American boyfriend should suit her purposes well – he has a slightly risque past and even had the odd run-in with the police. His film career includes playing a drug addict and sexually explicit scenes. 

An onlooker told The Mail on Sunday: ‘They were all over each other, kissing and hugging. It was very sweet to see. She looked utterly besotted. A girl recognised her and approached her.

Emma was polite and acknowledged her, but she just wanted to be with Johnny and was clearly under his spell. They’re obviously head-over-heels in love.’

Johnny has spent the night with Emma at the upmarket house in Santa Monica where she has been staying with friends. 

A source said: ‘The moment Johnny turned up Emma was all over him. He stayed overnight at least one night this week. It is clearly a serious relationship. 

They might have denied it before but they don’t seem to be trying to hide it now.’

Another friend said: ‘Emma loves how down-to-earth and normal Johnny is. He’s very charming and sweet.’

Emma and Johnny were seen together in a park in June, but at the time her publicist strongly denied they were an item. 

That month at the MTV Movie Awards afterparty Johnny was spotted pinching Emma’s bottom. It was only recently Emma lamented how hard it is to find a boyfriend.

She said: ‘I say to my friends, “Why hasn’t x called me?” They’re like, “Probably because they are intimidated.” It must be the fame wall.

Johnny – Alabama-born and brought up in Texas – has a past in the tradition of Southern ‘good ol’ boys’. 

He was arrested aged 19 in May 2006 for going at 80mph in a 65mph zone. Two days later he was arrested again for being in possession of alcohol below the legal age of 21 and was fined £350. 

The 2009 film Jennifer’s Body featured him and Amanda Seyfried in a sex scene which he told his parents not to watch because he was so embarrassed. 

He was lauded by critics for playing a drug addict in The Greatest, also starring Pierce Brosnan. 

Emma and Johnny met on the set of The Perks Of Being A Wallflower in May. 

Due for release next year, the movie is adapted from a controversial novel that couldn’t be further removed from Harry Potter, featuring drugs, sex and suicide. 

Emma, who earned an estimated £19 million last year thanks to the final two Harry Potter movies and deals with Lancome and Burberry, recently announced she will attend Oxford University this autumn in an exchange year from her studies at Brown University in the US.

Her former loves include financier Jay Barrymore, eight years her senior, and musician and fellow Burberry model George Craig.

Spokesmen for Johnny and Emma did not return calls or comment last night.

Ravi Kishan goes nude in new film

Following in the footsteps of actors like John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh, Ravi Kishan has stripped for his upcoming Hindi film Chitkabrey, slated to hit the screens Aug 26.

The Bollywood actor, who is also very popular in Bhojpuri cinema, shed all his clothes for a scene in the film that is about the intricacies of relationships in a world that is becoming smaller and smaller due to the fast-paced digital and technological revolution.

"There is a scene in the film where Ravi Kishan's character is surrounded by economically well-to-do family students in the college and he is tortured for being nice. The more he argues the more he is tortured and is finally stripped naked and is asked to talk dirty. He is left with no choice but to give up," director Suneet Arora told IANS.

The actor, who has been a part of Hindi films like Tere Naam, Luck, Raavan and Tanu Weds Manu, among others, was quite apprehensive in doing the bold scene.

"We had to stop the shooting for two hours because Ravi wasn't comfortable doing the scene. Then I sat with him, discussed it and told him that the scene is the centre point of the film and the story revolves around it, so he agreed to do it. He is very professional," revealed Arora.

The Censor Board wasn't too happy with these scenes also.

"Initially, the board gave the film 32 cuts, in spite of giving it an A certificate. We argued and re-edited the film and then the board came down to seven cuts. We haven't got the new certificate yet but things seem to fine now. We had to justify why the scenes were like that," said Arora.

In the past, John and Neil Mukesh have gone nude for their respective films. While John dropped his clothes for a chilling scene in New York, Neil did the same for a scene in the film Jail.

Jennifer Aniston threw Brad Pitt out over his romance with Angelina Jolie

Mr and Mrs Smith producer Arnon Milchan claims that Brad Pitt's romance with Angelina Jolie started while he was still married to Jennifer Aniston.

Jolie has always denied that she got involved with the actor while he was still married but according to a new book, Milchan says Pitt was already smitten by Lara Croft star and started romancing her while working on the movie.

He eventually confessed his love for Jolie to wife Aniston, who threw him out of their Beverly Hills home. The couple later got divorce after five-years of marriage.

The 66-year-old Milchan has revealed about the estranged couple in his recently launched book Confidential: The Life of Secret Agent Turned Hollywood Tycoon, Daily Mail reported.

"At first, Jen didn't believe he was involved with Angelina. She started asking around but no one would tell her anything because they were loyal to Brad, so she asked him point blank. He denied it.

"He eventually admitted he was in love with Angelina. Jen was furious and threw him out," authors Meir Doran and Joseph Gelman write quoting Milchan.

The producer originally planned to cast Pitt with Nicole Kidman as the married spy couple for Mr and Mrs Smith but Pitt pulled out of the project, saying they lacked chemistry.

But the actor was already smitten with Jolie and decided to do the project after she was finalised as female lead.

Pitt and Jolie, branded as Brangelina in Hollywood, have three biological and three adopted children.

Acting is like peeling an onion: Juliette Binoche

Juliette Binoche thinks acting is like "peeling an onion".

The 47-year-old French actress believes her performances have got better as she has gotten older because her portrayals have grown in their accuracies of true life.

She said: "The more you act, the more you live, your perception of life becomes more and more accurate.

"It's like peeling onions, you know? You're peeling and peeling until you try to arrive at a sort of transparency."

The 'Chocolat' star also spoke of her belief that women are naturally very creative, particularly as they get older.

She added: "Women are so creative. They're born creative, not only because they have babies, but because there's a blossoming to find inside us. Especially around 40 years old."

Juliette insists she is not a feminist as she thinks considering things in terms of gender makes people stereotype even more.

She said: "Do I consider myself a feminist? No. Aware of my feminine and masculine parts, sure. But that term just puts people in a stereotyped way of thinking.

"I think creation and doing, being active, is more important than talking about it."

Kate Moss plans $1,397,000 home gym

Kate Moss has submitted her plans for the building of an 850,000 pound gym at her posh home in North London, a part of the 2.5 million pound redevelopment of her Grade II- listed house.

 

Moss also plans on installing eight security cameras, presumably to keep her ex-Pete Doherty away, a giant satellite dish on the roof, a free-standing bath on the first floor and a third dressing room.

The house the English model currently lives in is a 19th century mansion owned by great personalities including, poet Samuel Taylor-Coleridge and author J B Priestley.

Her plans however have not been met with favour by locals, as they find her idea of turning the historic mansion into a "tacky" place, offending.

"Kate lives in a blue plaque property, commemorating the fact that Priestley previously lived in it," the Mirror quoted a neighbour as saying.

"As well as a tacky, footballers' wives-style gym and steam room complex, there's going to be a basement kitchen. I dread to imagine the kind of smells that will be wafting up.

"She's also planning on installing a huge satellite dish which will look so ugly on top of such an old, sprawling house, as will all these new-fangled cameras.

"It's an affront to the blue plaque," the neighbour added.

No bidder for Marilyn Monroe's sex tape!

A controversial film, purportedly showing Marilyn Monroe having sex when she was still a struggling young actress, didn't draw any bidder when it went to auction.

Spanish memorabilia collector Mikel Barsa asked for a starting price of 480,000 dollars for the film in the Buenos Aires auction at the Borges Cultural Centre, but no one made a bid for it, reports ABC News.

However, Barsa reportedly claimed that selling the film to an unidentified buyer from Denver was possible, but the price might come down to half of the opening bid he had requested.

Meanwhile, the Monroe estate has already launched a threatening suit against him asking him to give second thoughts about proceeding with the sale.

The scratchy, black-and-white six-minute film though is said to have portrayed the young actress, experts have repeatedly questioned its authenticity claiming that it is not actual Monroe who has featured in the tape.

Jane Fonda worried she would die of loneliness

Jane Fonda thought she would "die of loneliness" at the age of 20.

The 73-year-old actress - who has been married three times - explained after battling eating disorder bulimia throughout her teen years, losing her mother to suicide at the age of 12 and having a distant relationship with her father, actor Henry Fonda, she was "so unhappy".

She said: "If people can learn anything from me it's that I've not always been happy and I've not always been strong.

"When I was 20, I thought I was going to die of loneliness, I was so unhappy. But as I've got older, I've found myself growing happier."

However, Jane admits she blames her '12 Angry Men' star father - who was married five times - for her bulimia after "objectifying" her from a young age and bringing her up to "feel fat".

She added to You magazine: "I was brought up to feel fat, though my father wouldn't tell me directly - he'd get one of his wives to tell me that I shouldn't wear a bikini.

"I was a product of objectifying parents and also a product of the 50s, when the way a woman looked was so important. It's why I pay attention to my appearance now. I believed that to be loved you had to be perfect, and even though I've got over that now, it took a long time."

Ethan Hawke welcomes fourth child

Ethan Hawke has become a dad for the fourth time.

The 40-year-old actor and his wife Ryan Shawhughes - who got married in June 2008 - welcomed their second child, a baby daughter named Indiana, into the world two weeks ago, and the couple are said to be "very happy" at their new arrival.

An onlooker at New York's Maritime Hotel explained the star - who also has a three-year-old daughter, Clementine Jane, with Ryan - looked "proud" as he dined with his family on Friday

The source told People.com: "He was very happy. Seemed like a proud daddy."

Indiana's arrival marks the fourth time Ethan has become a dad, with the star also fathering 13-year-old Maya and nine-year-old Levon, his two children with ex-wife, actress Uma Thurman.

Ethan has previously admitted being a father is his "greatest pleasure in life".

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have reportedly called time on their relationship.

The Disney actress - who has been dating the 'Baby' hitmaker since early this year - is said to have split from the 17-year-old singing sensation over concerns about his new-found bad boy pals.

In recent weeks, Justin has been hanging around with former child burglar turned rapper Sean Kingston, ex-convict Lil Wayne, and has collaborated on a new track with Chris Brown, who put his ex-girlfriend Rihanna in hospital after attacking her in 2009.

Daniel Craig: 'I'd be a disaster in a rom-com

Daniel Craig would be a "disaster" in a romantic comedy.

The 'Cowboys & Aliens' star - who is best known for appearing as British spy James Bond in 'Casino Royale' and 'Quantum of Solace' - doesn't think a good film can be restricted by genre, but believes it would be a bad idea for him to appear in a hilarious love story.

He said: "I'm not about to do a rom-com. It would be a disaster.

"Good moves aren't just funny. Good movies aren't just sad. Good movies aren't just serious. They're all of those f**king things.

"In good movies, you should be involved in the characters. Not getting deep about it but I think that's more interesting."

However, Daniel admits he would like to see a little more humour in the forthcoming 23 James Bond film, which will be directed by Sam Mendes.

He said: "The humour has to come from truth, at how ridiculous the situations are. If it's just gags for the sake of gags, I'm not interested in that. I want to get the wryness back into it.

"It's a balance, because you've got to believe that he's going to be alive at the end of the movie. That's a James Bond movie."

Kristen Stewart understood maternal story

Kristen Stewart "related" to the maternal aspects of the 'Twilight Saga'.

The 21-year-old actress' character Bella Swan gives birth to a child with her vampire lover Edward Cullen - played by her real life boyfriend Robert Pattinson - in 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn' but Kristen doesn't think it "far-fetched" to think of someone so young as a parent.

She said: "I don't think it's far-fetched for someone of my age to be having a child. One of my best friends just had a baby and she's very, very, very, young. I definitely related to the maternal aspect of things very strongly."

Despite her maternal instincts being awoken during filming scenes for the series, she admits she was a little freaked out by the animatronic child, operated by a member of the crew, which she had to interact with in certain scenes.

She said: "Filming it, this guy's sweating under your eye line, they get the hand up to touch your face and then it sticks to your hair and pulls a little bit.

"You're like, 'Ugh! Get that thing off me. Get me a baby, this is ridiculous.' It had hair and it's a newborn baby!"
