Vidya spends hours in a lotus pond for her Dirty Pictures

Vidya Balan was recently shooting for a song sequence for Dirty Pictures in a lotus pond at Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad.

After every shot, she was asked to step out for a while before going in again for the next shot. Not keen to get in and out of the water every couple of minutes, Vids suggested staying in the pond till the required portions were filmed.

By the time the director had okayed the last take, the heroine had clocked over two hours in the lotus pond.

Thankfully, she didn't catch a cold or suffer any rashes this time!

Neetu Chandra becomes a victim of Mumbai monsoons

Neetu Chandra has become a victim of the Mumbai monsoons. Her Lokhandwala Complex home developed a leakage problem which got worse during the recent heavy downpour. Seems the water was seeping from the flat above, but as it is locked and the owners not likely to return before August, the situation worsened. 

The bechari babe moved her things into the basement and went hunting for a house on rent. She found one not far from her own, so she's decided to stay there till the problems at her own pad has been sorted. Wonder where good friend Randeep Hooda had disappeared during all this time. Or shouldn't we ask?

Sonu Nigam and Britney Spears to sing together

Sonu Nigam has now collaborated with Britney Spears on a remix of her I Wanna Go track.  Says Britney on her microblogging site: "So excited about having Sonu on I Wanna Go.

His vocals add such a different feel which I love. Watch out Bollywood. It's Sonu and Britney." 

In reply Sonu tweets: "India loves you Britney. Welcome to Bollywood! Am loving the fact that it's our collaboration that marks your first step here. God bless you and more power to great music." 

Sonu, who is currently shooting for a video in Ladakh, had kept the news under wraps as he wanted Britney to announce it. He has composed and written his bits in the song. 

Sonu had also collaborated with Jermaine Jackson and had jammed with him at a recent film awards event in Toronto.

Rahman talks about his new international band

Former Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, who collaborated with A R Rahman and other musicians for a new band Super Heavy, have released their first single Miracle Worker. 

"It took me way back to my high school days when I was playing in a rock band, but this one was a real one!" said Rahman. Jagger says he couldn't believe that the band would actually come to life.

"I said it sounds like a good idea, I never thought it would actually happen."

Train citizens in anti-terror acts: Amitabh Bachchan

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has urged people to act as policemen and suggested initiating an anti-terror training programme that would help them to fight terrorism and protect themselves.

The actor said he would be the first one to join the anti-terror training programme. His comments come in the wake of the three serial blasts that killed 17 people and injured 131 in Mumbai Wednesday.

"Each one of us will have to become a 'policeman' .. look, notice, observe, feel, sense the danger in every step and report," the 68-year-old posted on microblogging site Twitter.

"Yes the security forces will always be needed, but when vulnerable, let each one of us know that we are being watched and monitored. There are many vulnerable nations in the world ... knowing this they have made each citizen of theirs a watch dog, a fighting force!"

"Let there be private or state professional units that take up the job of training citizens in anti-terror acts... make it compulsory. Make that training programme mandatory for every citizen, every national of the country ... I shall be the first to join," he posted.

Salman in awe of Ajay's toned body

Bollywood heartthrob Salman Khan, who is known for his toned physique, is amazed to see Ajay Devgan's fit body in his upcoming flick "Singham".

"Oye teri !!! Baap re baap. Superb ajay's body is looking. Too good (sic)" Salman posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, "Singham" casts Ajay Devgn and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. The film is a remake of the successful 2010 Tamil film by the same name.

Ajay plays a cop named Bajirao Singham in the film, which is scheduled for a July 22 release.

Amrita Rao appears in the new pro-vegetarian ad for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The actress proclaims, "I call being vegetarian the Wow Rao diet.

Wow because I know that being vegetarian is the best thing I can do for myself, the animals and the environment."

'Rang Rasiya' bags an award at London Indian Film Festival

Ketan Mehta's Rang Rasiya has bagged the Audience Award at the second London Indian Film Festival. Audiences voted for their favourite films across 28 screenings during the fest.

Says Mehta, "I am thrilled that my passion project has won the  award. The premiere at the Victoria & Albert Museum was wonderful and the interaction with London audiences was great. 

This award is the icing on the cake." The film charts the life of the Indian artist Raja Ravi Varma ( Randeep Hooda) and his his muse Sugandha (Nandana Sen).

Christian leader brands Oprah 'the Antichrist'

An evangelical Christian leader has caused outrage after he branded talk show host Oprah Winfrey as the Antichrist.


Mike Bickle, 55, who is head of the International House of Prayer (IHOP), made the controversial statement in a film, which was released earlier this week by People for the American Way Right Wing Watch and aired on God TV.


I believe that one of the main pastors, as a forerunner to the Harlot movement, it's not the Harlot movement yet, is Oprah, the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.


She is winsome, she is kind, she is reasonable, she is utterly deceived, utterly deceived.


A classy woman, a cool woman, a charming woman, but has a spirit of deception and she is one of the clear pastors, forerunners to the Harlot movement, he added of 57-year-old Winfrey.


Explaining this so-called Harlot Babylon in the film, he told viewers that it was a movement that conducted good deeds for all the wrong reasons.


The Harlot Babylon is preparing the nations to receive the Antichrist, he said in a speech.


The Harlot Babylon will be a religion of affirmation, toleration, no absolutes, a counterfeit justice movement. They will feed the poor, have humanitarian projects, inspire acts of compassion for all the wrong reasons.

Synopsis

One of the most awaited sequels, Don 2 marks the return of Farhan Akhtar as a director after his stint as an actor since Rock On . Though all lead actors from the original cast have been retained, Arjun Rampal is no more a part of the film. Kunal Kapoor and Lara Dutta have entered the picture. The film promises some very dangerous stunts including one where Shah Rukh has jumped from a 300 feet building. Buzz is that while the first part had police from 11 nations hunting for Don, the sequel will have police from as many as 132 nations in pursuit of the international crook. Don 2 is being extensively shot in Berlin and will also have Hrithik Roshan play a cameo. 

 

Renee Zellweger dating John Stamos?

If reports are to be believed, Renee Zellweger has a new man in her life. The talented actress is allegedly dating Glee star John Stamos.

The Oscar-winning actress — who split from Bradley Cooper earlier this year — and Stamos were spotted enjoying a romantic trip to Disneyland in California and onlookers say they seemed smitten with each other. "They looked really close and very happy. They were trying to stay under the radar but were having a great time laughing and dancing while walking from one ride to another," said an onlooker to a foreign magazine. The 42-year-old actress split from Bradley in March after dating him for almost two years, leaving many people surprised as it had been reported they were set to wed.

Kim Cattrall has no desire to look younger

Actress Kim Cattrall, 54, says she would rather appear "healthy" and of her own age as she has no desire to look younger. 

"I had a great time in my youth and still feel very youthful, but I have no desire to look as though I'm 20. I want to look healthy, but I want to look closer to my age," contactmusic.com quoted Cattrall as saying. The actress, best known for playing Samantha Jones in "Sex and the City", also admits that she "doesn't believe" in cosmetic surgery. "I don't believe in cosmetic surgery, well, not yet. Kristen Stewart involved in an accident

"Twilight" actress Kristen Stewart was involved in a minor accident after a fellow woman motorist hit her Mini Cooper from behind while driving in Los Angeles.
