No Bips in Jism 2, Mallika keen on film

Mallika Sherawat’s tryst with the Bhatts isn’t over just yet. She might have lost the Murder sequel to Jacqueline Fernandes but the Haryanvi babe is now keen to bag Pooja Bhatt’s Jism 2.

Yes, Mallika had a discussion with me about Jism 2, but Pooja will take the final call. She is sharp and will finalise casting,” says filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who also arranged a meeting between Mallika and Pooja. “Mallika and I are good friends despite her blow-hot, blow-cold relationship with my brother and production house (Vishesh Films),” says Bhatt, adding that Mallika never approached him for Murder 2.

Bipasha, who starred in Jism (2003), is out of contention for the sequel as well as Raaz 3, which now stars Jacqueline. Reportedly, the Bhatts were miffed with Bips after she threw tantrums over an item number in Murder 2.

“Definitely, Bipasha and my brother Mukesh have some problems. But I believe in the saying ‘never say never’. Anyway, we (as a banner) don’t necessarily work with stars,” says Bhatt adding he isn’t “really hurt” by the starry attitudes. “I have no delusions that there’s zero gratitude in Bollywood. Everyone has his or her destiny to make. But if you have worked with certain people in the past, you should have basic courtesy to get back to them if they try to get in touch.”

Peregrine falcon Lady Gaga breaks leg, needs surgery

Surgeon seeking advice on procedure

Dr. James Sweetman, a veterinarian at the Downtown Veterinary Hospital, holds Lady Gaga, a female Peregrine Falcon, Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Lady Gaga fractured her leg and is to undergo surgery Thursday

WINDSOR, Ont. -- Lady Gaga, Windsor’s popular peregrine falcon, broke her leg and was expected to undergo surgery this morning so tricky and uncharted that veterinarian Dr. James Sweetman was seeking advice online from specialists around the world.

“There’s a lot of pressure here,” Sweetman said Wednesday from his Downtown Veterinary Clinic.
Sweetman put the falcon’s X-rays online on a vet information network to help formulate a plan that by Wednesday afternoon was based in part on advice from a specialist in California.

“You just can’t go ahead and open a book up because there is no book,” said Sweetman, who takes a special interest in exotic pets but hasn’t worked on a peregrine falcon.

“This is a once in a lifetime and you better do it right the first time.”

In part because of her name and early flying troubles, Lady Gaga the peregrine falcon has a large public following. She had been flying extremely well since requiring two rescues during her first flights in June but volunteers found her on the ground favouring her left leg Tuesday night underneath the Ambassador Bridge

X-rays Wednesday morning showed a distal femoral fracture which means the end of what would be our thigh bone in her left leg is broken and rotated.

There’s a risk of death with the anesthesia and the technicians don’t have any equipment to monitor the bird’s breathing during surgery. Sweetman and another vet, who were still doing research Wednesday, may try to insert two tiny metal pins this morning to help the bone heal correctly.

If she survives the risky surgery, the falcon won’t be set free for at least six weeks. Doctors can’t put a cast on a bird and the down time will create a problem for the falcon, which must learn to kill birds in flight.

That may be how the fledgling broke her leg. Volunteers didn’t see what happened but young peregrines, like Lady Gaga and her brother Spitfire which hatched this spring, learn to hunt as parents pass off food talon to talon during flight. A food package — a nice term for a dead bird — was found near Lady Gaga on the ground.

The young falcons also play and jostle each other in the air, said Canadian Peregrine Foundation — Windsor Watch site co-ordinator Dennis Patrick.

“One hundred mile per hour trips around the bridge? I don’t know for sure,” Patrick said of the falcons, which in a dive can reach speeds of more than 300 km/h.

Grounded peregrine falcons don’t stand much of a chance, so Patrick had to rescue Lady Gaga for a third time. He took her to Sweetman, whom he met just a few weeks ago when the vet had a question about a grounded American kestrel.

The hope is to get Lady Gaga’s leg fixed and get her back to the bridge area where her parents live so her training can continue. Patrick said her survival is crucial because peregrine falcons are a threatened species and because Lady Gaga is a female.

“It’s important that we get her healthy so she can go out in the wild, establish another nest and then have, let’s say, 12 generations of her own babies who would then have 12 generations of their own babies,” Patrick said. “They’re still a species at risk, so every single one of them make a huge difference in the wild.”

Adele, Lady Gaga power music recovery

The title track of Lady Gaga's album was No. 3 with 2.9 million units, just behind perky pop singer Katy Perry's "E.T." with 3 million units.

While Lady Gaga has been ubiquitous on the worldwide promotional trail in a staggering array of colorful costumes, Adele has adopted a relatively low-key approach for her confessional album. She recently postponed the remaining nine dates of her sold-out tour of mid-sized North American venues because of throat problems.

The success of "21" revived sales of Adele's 2008 debut, "19," which yielded two Grammy Awards including best new artist. It sold 341,000 copies during the first half to rank as the top-selling "catalog" release among albums that were distributed more than 18 months ago. Its total sales stand at 1.2 million copies.

The third-biggest selling artist so far this year is another soulful British act, the folk revivalists Mumford & Sons, who have sold 982,000 copies of their 2009 debut "Sigh No More," thanks in part to attention-grabbing performances at the Grammys and the Coachella music festival in California. Its total sales are currently 1.6 million.

Country singer Jason Aldean's "My Kinda Party" (763,000) and pop/R&B singer Bruno Mars' "Doo-Wops & Hooligans" (686,000) rounded out the top five.

More than 40 years after their breakup, the Beatles managed to top one chart during the first half. Their 1969 album "Abbey Road" was the No. 1 vinyl release, selling 20,200 copies.

Salman Khan gifts Raj Babbar a luxury car

Salman KhanSalman Khan known for his largesse constantly catches people by surprise. The latest is Congress Member of Parliament and actor Raj Babbar.

Raj did Salman a favour when he agreed to step in at the nth hour as Kareena Kapoor's father in Bodyguard because another MP, Shatrughan Sinha who was to do the role of Bebo's papa, had to quit after a date clash between Bodyguard and his TV show, the Bhojpuri version of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Our source says, "Raj refused to accept payment from Salman for his role. However Khan just blew the veteran actor's mind when he gifted him a high-end four wheeler on the last day of his shoot for the film." Apparently Raj was so moved by the gesture that he was in tears.

'Mani Kaul was, by far, our most original filmmaker'

NEW DELHI: His entire vocabulary of cinema was astonishingly unique; his concept of the narrative both radical and original. Director Mani Kaul, whose films such as Uski Roti, Ashad Ka Ek Din and Duvidha are signposts in off-beat Indian cinema, succumbed to cancer at his Gurgaon residence on Wednesday. He was 68.

"For me, Uski Roti (1969) is as much a landmark as Pather Panchali. Mani Kaul was, by far, our most original filmmaker," says film director Shyam Benegal. Film critic Aruna Vasudev maintains that the moviemaker "forged a totally new path." And actor Mita Vashisht says, "He was a master of the frame, of his craft."

Kaul's substantial ouvre spanning four decades also includes some of the most intense docu-features in Indian cinema, works that blur the invisible lines separating the two genres. Satah Se Uthata Admi (1980) was based on the writings of Gajanan Madhav Muktibodh, a pioneer of modern poetry in Hindi. Mati Manas (1984) mapped out the life and art of terracotta artisans. "I wanted to know the anguish of the potter through my own anguish as a filmmaker," Kaul once said. And Siddheshwari (1989) recast the life of the thumri singer from Benaras. All three are powerful and moving works - shot through the mind's eye with honesty and passion. Also a Dhrupad aficionado, music rippled through his later movies. Not in songs but in the way the camera moved, the lights changed.

A master film theoretician, Kaul's movies weren't easy to log on to. Critics as well as filmmakers were often furiously divided on their artistic merit. The popular press lambasted Uski Roti, based on Hindi litterateur Mohan Rakesh's short story. Many viewers found it sluggish. But the movie's narrative style and the camerawork were merely devices in director's overall cinematic vision. As Ashish Rajadhyaksha and Paul Willemen point out in Encyclopaedia of Indian Cinema¸ "The film integrates the characters into the landscape, evoking an internalised yet distanced kind of realism reminiscent of Robert Bresson."

Similarly, after watching Kaul's Duvidha, distinguished moviemaker Satyajit Ray wrote, "Kaul has wilfully adopted a very special and very private mode of expression, and his impatience with conventional narrative methods leads him to a visual style, replete with cliches of another sort." But the movie was widely appreciated in Europe.

Born in Jodhpur, Kaul was taught and hugely influenced by the famous director Ritwik Ghatak (Ajantrik, Meghe Dhaka Tara) at the FTII, Pune. One of his classmates was Kumar Shahani (Maya Darpan, Kasbah), who ploughed a similar school of filmmaking. Later Kaul also taught at the same institute; quite a few students later became key members of his film unit. During Emergency, the master director also showed political spine. "He refused to sign the documentary Historical Sketch of Indian Women doing the Emergency when its producers, Film Division, wanted him to change the last shot and the commentary," write Rajadhyaksha and Willemen.

Vashisht, who worked with Kaul in Siddheshwari recalls how Kaul would constantly challenge her during the shooting. "As a director, he challenged every faculty in your body, your imagination. But when you were in his frame, you felt beautiful. Siddheshwari was one of the most powerful and moving experiences of my life," says Vashisht. The film earned the best documentary prize in the 1989 national film awards.

Renowned film critic Derek Malcolm once called Kaul, "the stern poet of the Indian cinema, who goes his own way regardless." To the end, the director remained true to that abstract.

Mani's memorable movies:

1. Uski Roti (1969): Kaul's debut feature.

2. Ashad Ka Ek Din (1971): Film adapted from Hindi litterateur Mhan Rakesh's play of the same name

3. Duvidha (1973): Adaptation of a Rajasthani folk tale. Won a silver medal at Milan (1970)

4. Satah Se Uthata Aadmi: The docu-feature interprested Hindi poet Muktibodh's writing

5. Idiot: Based on Fyodor Dostoevsky's novel, the film also starred a young Shah Rukh Khan.

'Serial kisser' tag a real pain: Emraan

He's busy visiting cities promoting his forthcoming release "Murder 2". A part of the original franchise, Emraan Hashmi describes the film as 'edgy and twisted' with a pace that will keep you involved right from the beginning.

Known to play real and flawed characters, he adds that Mohit Suri's film continues the streak giving him a chance to play yet another interesting role. Here, he essays the role of a man everyone can identify with.

Ask him about the popular 'serial kisser' tag and he shrugs it off calling it a label he no longer identifies with. Here are excerpts from a chat...

When I say 'serial kisser' what's the first thing that comes to your mind...
A real pain in the ass! I seriously feel that people have a myopic approach towards watching a two hour-long film and just picking up the kissing scenes. I mean its not fair to judge or rate my performance based on whether or not I have kissed in the film. I feel I have left that tag long behind. It's something I don't identify with anymore. I just find it highly amusing when people still address me by that name.

But you've spoken about willingness to kiss on screen like no other actor...
Yes, that's because I believe in progressive cinema. I think that a kiss isn't a big deal, it's as real as it can get. People don't go to theatres because they want to see me kiss, for that they can just log on to the internet and watch my clips. It would be a cliché to stereotype me based on the number of kisses I have done in my films.

But your track record proves that most of your box-office successes have had kissing scenes
Not really. I have had films like "Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai" which was a success despite not having a kiss. And then there have been films where I have kissed but they didn't work at the box office. I think it's unfair to think like that, because intimate scenes are really a part and parcel of every other film.

How do you break the ice before doing intimate scenes, do you discuss the scene?
No, we just get to it (laughs). I mean with "Murder 2", we shot all the intimate scenes right towards the end. That's how I prefer doing it. Because by then you get to know your co-star and there's a certain level of comfort that you've developed. I had a great time working with Jacqueline, we had an awesome schedule in Goa and she's a fun person to work with. I hope the audience likes our pairing.

Hrithik Roshan can't flirt!

He may have pulled off many romantic scenes on screen but when it comes to matters of the heart off the arc lights, Hrithik Roshan fails miserably.

The actor is loved and admired for his drop dead gorgeous looks and therefore it's not new for Hrithik to get special attention from women. Ask him if he finds women hitting on him often and he quips, "I don't know. I don't even react because I don't realize that someone is hitting on me. It's only when a friend, witness to all this, brings to my notice that 'hey she was hitting on you' and I am like 'Oh really? Was she?."

The actor misses relishing the moment and also the chance to flirt, leaving many disappointed and hearts broken. One thing is for sure, Hrithik's gorgeous wife Sussanne Khan must be feeling blessed to have a hot looking husband who doesn't know how to flirt.

J.K. Rowling made Radcliffe Potter!

Daniel Radcliffe owes his stardom to Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling, since she was the sole one responsible for handing the then child star the lead role in the movie franchise, despite arguments between studio executives over whether he was the right choice.

Harry Potter and The Philosopher''s Stone director Chris Columbus revealed that Radcliffe was not a favourite for all the film bosses planning the adaptations of Rowling''s books.

"There were certain people who didn''t think Dan was perfect for the part, Conatctmusic quoted Columbus as telling Entertainment Weekly magazine.

"We had committees - a total of 30 people, between us and the studio - who were looking at these screen tests.

"When Jo (Rowling) saw Dan, she said, ''That''s how I always imagined Harry would look like!'', he added.

Kiss with Emma's an anticlimax: Rupert Grint

Rupert Grint and Emma Watson Rupert Grint has confessed that his onscreen kiss with Emma Watson in the final instalment of the 'Harry Potter' film series would be to be 'a bit of an anticlimax' for viewers.

Grint, 22, and Watson, 21 will be sharing a highly anticipated kiss in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two, to be released in cinemas this month.

But, according to the Observer, the actor said the moment itself is likely to prove quite under whelming to fans who have been waiting ten years to see the two get together.

"That's going to be a bit of an anticlimax," the Telegraph quoted Grint as saying, while describing the kiss as a "small, small moment".

He was asked about the long build-up to the moment, which both actors, who are close friends, knew would eventually arrive.

"It can be hard to keep up the energy," he stated.

Riteish, Genelia to have two weddings

Actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza are officially a couple now...

Well, they haven't announced anything yet, but their action spoke louder than words as the two walked hand-in-hand at a recent awards function, even in the presence of Mom D'Souza, who only looked too happy with the couple's close camaraderie.

Riteish and Genelia have been 'good friends' for a long time now. If sources are to be believed the two would've settled down together a long time ago had Riteish's family agreed to the wedding of their son to a Catholic girl. Apparently, the Deshmukh family wanted Riteish to settle down with a girl from their community.

However, it looks like after all these years the family has given in, or so we are told by friends of the actor's. And if a wedding does happen in 2012, there are going to be two shaadis - one will be a Maharashtrian wedding, while the other will be a Church wedding for Riteish and Genelia!

Our source says that Salman has totally fallen in love with Patiala.

The Army has been very helpful to him and his unit by way of making them feel welcome and safe and he has grown to respect the men in uniform.

As a return gesture the star conducted a medical camp in the state. He got as many as 200 cataract operations done at a medical camp around the Golden Temple Amritsar by flying down a team of expert eye doctors from Mumbai.

Salman has also promised the local army that if they ever need him for a cause,he will always be there.

Daniel Craig's marriage stuns ex-fiance

Actor Daniel Craig's marriage to actress Rachel Weiz has left his ex-fiance Satsuki Mitchell stunned.

Mitchell's father Christopher revealed that his daughter is so upset that she has forbidden family members from mentioning Craig's name.

"His sudden marriage came out of nowhere. We heard about it like everyone else - by reading the newspapers. She doesn't mention his name now and tells me off if I do," dailymail.co.uk quoted the father as saying.

"Satsuki has only just reached a happy place. She has since said, more than once, that the break-up was the best thing for her. She knew he was not the man she wanted him to be and there was something wrong in the relationship," he added.

Mitchell, 32, and Craig, 43, got engaged in 2007. They split last November.

Eduardo stayed close to his gorgeous girlfriend, putting his hand on Eva's leg as they sped back to shore in their boat

Later she covered up as the couple joined friends to head for lunch in Puerto Banus.

They were relaxing after a visit to Madrid, where Longoria received a seal of approval from Eduardo's big sister.

Penelope and her Oscar-winning husband, Javier Bardem, have recently become new parents, but made sure set time aside to share a double-date with Eva and Eduardo during their stay.

Her friends credit her with helping her get back to her best.

Late last year, Longoria learned of her husband's 'sexting' relationship with mutual friend Erin Barry, who was divorcing Brent Barry, Parker's San Antonio Spurs teammate.

Although both Barry and Parker denied having an affair, neither addressed the significance of the many text messages between them.

Then, he was spotted outside her home on Christmas Eve.
Trips to Mexico and Miami followed before this Spanish tour.

Zoya Akhtar: I didn't know Katrina at all

While filmmaker Zoya Akhtar's debut flick LUCK BY CHANCE gained her enough critical acclaim and recognition, commercially it couldn't do well. Now, it seems her second outing ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA is eagerly awaited. Reason? ZNMD boasts of big stars and actors like Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin.

Zoya says, 'Hrithik Roshan is my favourite actor and he was a part of my first film LUCK BY CHANCE as well. Even if I was making a 1 crore film I would have approached Hrithik. Kalki is a very interesting actress and edgy. Farhan and Abhay are really intelligent actors and who wouldn't love to work with such talented lot?'

Quite surprisingly Katrina came in much later while rest of the cast was already finalised. In fact, Zoya even auditioned a lot of women before roping in the beautiful actress - Katrina Kaif. Reveals Zoya, 'Yes that's true we auditioned a lot of women before finalising Katrina. Actually we needed a half Indian and half Caucatian girl, who would be willing to ride a bike, scuba dive and one who is physically fit. I tested a lot of people from New york and London but nothing really interested me. Also, I didn't know Katrina at all, till I met her at a party. It was only at that time I realised 'Sh*t man. What am I doing. She is the one I was looking for'.'

Leaving aside the commercial aspect, ZNMD star cast is made up of actors, who come from different worlds. But Zoya considers it to be ideal combination of cast and quite elated to bring them together.

'Isn't it interesting to cast people that make a heady mix? When you put actors together who don't usually come together or who come from different school of acting there's new dynamic and a new energy formed. Though they come from different worlds and have a different sense and styles of working, they do look like they belong together on a poster. And I think it's quite fun and exciting to have them together. Someone should take initiative to attempt something new. So why not me?' says the excited Zoya.

Zoya Akhtar's ZNMD, which is touted as guys' flick, does have scope for women as well. She says, 'Of course they do. You take any example RANG DE BASANTI or DIL CHAHTA HAI or ROCK ON or any boys film the women have very pertinent parts. I mean I don't write bad characters for women.'

Zoya is quite fond of films on raod trips and from long time she was looking forward to do something on similar lines and then ZINDAGI happened. 'I love roadtrips. And I have always wanted to do a film on road trips. My first film LUCK BY CHANCE was very interior movie set in Mumbai. So this time around I wanted go outdoors. I wanted to do something visually completely different. Reema Kagti, my co-writer, and me started talking discussing about it and the idea just came in. It is the fastest script written - just 3 months,' concludes the filmmaker.

Is Deepika Padukone copying Katrina Kaif?

If you receive a request from actor Deepika Padukone, what do you do? You grant it right away! This must be the exact feeling enveloping director Prakash Jha, when Deepika requested him for something. While most actors do it by reserving their demands on their directors, Deepy charmingly requested her director to get her way. Okay, now not holding on to the surprise any further, Deepika has a special wish.

The actor wanted a song like 'Mora Piya' from the film 'Rajneeti' to be picturised on her — just like the way it was picturised on actors Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. Known for the melodious music in his films, Jha, for his upcoming film 'Aarakshan', was surprised when he heard of Deepy's request. A source adds, "Deepika is a smart girl and knows exactly how to put forward her wishes. Before the film's shooting, Deepika requested via sms to Prakash Jha to feature a love ballad on her, with a happy face smiley at the end. And her wish was granted. It was bound to — as where most actors reserve peculiar demands for their directors and are in the news for their tantrums. It was clear that Deepika's charming approach to get her special song worked."

When asked about the request, Deepika said, "I remember how 'Mora piya' was such a rage. I remember messaging him (Prakash Jha) to please give me a good romantic song in his new film because Prakashji has a really good sense of music. I was really looking forward to shooting this song and it's turned out amazing. Till now, Mora piya was always played on loop on my mp3 player wherever I was travelling. But now its 'Seedhe point pe aaona', which is such a playful and cute romantic song."

The song features Deepika opposite actor Saif Ali Khan. Just like the Ranbir-Kat chemistry, there is a lot of buzz about Deepika-Saif's camaraderie, which was visible in their earlier film 'Love Aaj Kal'. But we'll have to wait and watch to know if this number becomes a hit amongst the youth... given that the song is a result of Deepika's sweet persuasion.

Parvin and I never behave like husband-wife on sets: Preeti Jhangiani

Bollywood actress Preeti Jhangiani, who donned the producer's hat for her husband Parvin Dabbas's directorial debut 'Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande', says they never took their personal life to the sets.

'It can't be a husband-wife relationship on the sets. More than me, it was Parvin who was very particular about this thing that on the sets we should always be very professional,' the 30-year-old told IANS in an interview.

'We didn't discuss anything on the sets that would lead to an argument or difference of opinion. We did all that before hand and planned everything in advance. On the sets, it was a very professional producer-director thing rather than a husband-wife thing,' she added.

Coming out Aug 19, 'Sahi Dhandhe Galat Bande' is an action comedy about four wrong guys trying to do the right job. Apart from Parvin, who has also written the film, it stars Anupam Kher and Sharat Saxena.

When asked what made her take a plunge into production, Preeti, who acted in films like 'Mohabbatein', 'Awara Paagal Deewana', 'LOC Kargil' and 'Aan: Men at Work', said: 'The script of the film.'

'Initially, whenever I thought about it, I always thought that I would never want to become one because it is the hardest job and it is always the producer who has to run around for everything. And the stress is too much, so I had thought that this is not for me.'

'But when Parvin narrated the story, we knew the film has to be made. It so happened that we couldn't trust anyone else with the film...we wanted to make it the way we wanted to make it,' said Preeti.

Last seen in 2007 release 'Victoria No. 203: Diamonds Are Forever', a remake of the 1972 hit film 'Victoria No. 203', the actress found being a producer is a very hectic job.

'The stress of being an actress is nothing compared to the stress of being a producer. Every single day had its downs, but then every single day had its ups also. As an actress, it's very different, you are just on the sets and you do your thing. But a producer has to take care of everything,' she said.

'This was my first time as a producer and it's a business venture. It was very different. There are times you are irritated or frustrated, but at the end of the day when you see the project, you feel satisfied. So it's all worth it,' she added.

But why didn't she face the camera for her first production venture?

'I find that very weird that just because you are the producer of the film, you have to work in the film. Parvin and I have decided that till the time we don't suit the role, we will not do it even if it's our production venture. Parvin suited the role, so he is doing it,' she explained.

And what about acting for other banners?

'I would love to act again. I just had a baby, so after some time I will look forward to doing films,' she said.
Parvin and Preeti got married in March 2008 and had their first child, a son, April 11, 2011.

What's common between Kareena and Kunal Kohli?

Actor Kareena Kapoor is a hard core 'filmy' and she has always maintained that she would want to act as long as she can. Now guess who is echoing her opinion in filmdom?

A source says that it is none other than filmmaker Kunal Kohli, who is currently busy directing a new film with actor Priyanka Chopra in the lead.

Apparently the director is happiest when he is on the sets of a film and when shooting wraps up, all he looks forward to is the next shooting schedule. And he even tweeted a verse from one of Kareena's grandpa, Raj Kapoor's evergreen songs, 'Jeena yahan, marna yahan, iske siva jaana kahan'.

Shahrukh, Sunny kiss and make-up

Sunny Deol and Shahrukh Khan, who were at logger heads since their ‘Darr’ days have reconciled. It was post the recently held IIFA event at Toronto that the two stars decided to end their decade old rivalry and made up. According to an onlooker, the two bumped into each other at the airport and to everyone’s surpise, bonded like old pals. Not just that, as later when Bobby joined them, SRK bonded well with him too.

The duo enjoyed each other’s company and decided to sit together in the flight. However, if sources are to be believed, their rivalry has not ended completely as yet.

Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Sunny’s ‘I Love New Year’ and SRK’s ‘Don 2’ are slated to hit the screens somewhere near Christmas this year. According to the sources, ‘I Love New Year’ was previously slated to release on December 30th, but recently the film's producers, Excel Entertainment announced that the film will be released on December 23rd, incidentally on the same day when SRK’s ‘Don 2’ will release.

Now, the news has put director Bhushan Kumar in a dilemma, for he shares not so nice relationship with SRK. It is said that Bhushan does not want any kind of clash with King Khan and thus is making every effort to settle down the issue.

However, the story has its other side too, where more than Sunny, directors Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru seem responsible for the clash. Not to forget that sometime back, SRK refused to give the title ‘Happy New Year’ to the director duo, who are said to share a good rapport with frenemy Salman Khan.

Coming back to the topic, the cold vibes between the actors started after Sunny lashed out at Yash Chopra chopping a good amount of his role from 'Darr' to give more importance to Shahrukh’s character. This ensued a fallout between the two actors, who never patched up after the incident.

Well, all can we say is that now when the two superstars are friends again, how about doing a film together?

Is Priyanka going to be the next ‘Munni’

Looks like, the rage of item songs will never vanish from Indian cinema. Talk about Bollywood films and item numbers are a must, be it Aamir shaking his booty in ‘Delhi Belly’ or Ranbir doing a promotional stint in ‘Tain Tain Phissh’ from ‘Chillar Party’.

Following the trend is Priyanka Chopra, who will be seen as the next item girl in Priyadarshan's upcoming ‘Tezz,’ that stars Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, and Kangna Ranaut. This will be Priyanka’s first solo item number.  Earlier, she was seen shaking legs with SRK in ‘Billu’.

Also previously, there were reports that she had refused to do any item number, but it seems that now, she too is going with flow and the craze of item numbers has caught her attention too. The music for the dance number in question, has been composed by Sajid-Wajid,

Her soon to be released song is already been compared to the ‘Munni’ and ‘Sheila’ act. Priyanka will be seen shaking her hips in a specially designed setting, which has been made particularly for the song.
So let’s wait and watch whether Priyanks cab create the same magic of ‘Sheila’ and ‘Munni’
