Jane Lynch to discuss sexuality in book

London, Feb 3 – Hollywood actress Jane Lynch will talk about her sexuality and battle with alcoholism in her autobiography set be released in September. 

The ‘Glee’ actress, who tied the knot with long-term girlfriend Lara Embry last summer, will release her autobiography ‘Happy Accidents’ and hopes her life experiences will help other people, femalefirst.co.uk.

‘If I could go back in time and have a conversation with my 18-year-old self, the thing I’d say is, ‘Relax. Really – just relax. Don’t sweat it’. For a long time, I was anxious and fearful that the parade would pass me by, and that someone or something outside myself had all the answers,’ she said.

‘Having finally reached a happy place – a happy accidents place- I want to share my story with others, to let them know things aren’t as bad as they fear,’ she added.

The 50-year-old will also discuss her long battle with alcoholism in the book which started when she was just 14.

London, Feb 3 – Actress Kristen Stewart is being considered to play enthusiastic journalist Lois Lane in the new Superman movie ‘Superman: Man of Steel’.

Paltrow to perform at Grammy awards

London, Feb 3 – Actress Gwyneth Paltrow will be singing alongside Cee Lo Green and The Muppets at this year’s Grammy Awards. 

The actress and the soul singer are teaming up with the puppet characters, which includes Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, for an edited version of Cee Lo’s mega-hit ‘F**k You’.

Paltrow started singing professionally for her role as an alcoholic country singer in ‘Country Strong’, but since the role she made her live debut at the Country Music Awards (CMAs) last November and appeared on TV show ‘Glee’, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Cee Lo was so impressed that they later collaborated on a studio version of the track, and subsequently performed it on TV comedy show ‘Saturday Night Live’.

The 36-year-old singer admitted he felt his musical partner was ‘really feeling and appreciating what I had done artistically. That was awesome to come from her and feel her energy’.

Kidman emotionally damaged after split from Cruise

London, Feb 3 – Actress Nicole Kidman, who has two adopted children with ex-husband Tom Cruise, says her split from him in 2001 had left her emotionally damaged.

Kidman separated from the Hollywood star after 10 years of marriage.

‘We were very, very tight and that’s why we lasted 10 years which is a good amount of time, particularly when you get married at 23. That was a great relationship. I think it ran its course,’ contactmusic.com quoted her as saying.

She now lives away from the spotlight in Nashville with husband Keith Urban and their two daughters. But the actress claims she often felt forced into being a celebrity during her marriage to Cruise.

‘You don’t think of yourself like that. I knew he was a really big star, but after a while, to get to a real place in a relationship, that has to wear off.’

‘As a couple we were very private. I was never seeking to be a celebrity, but I was prepared to do that for love.’

‘Dhoom’ great franchise to be part of, says ‘villain’ Aamir Khan

Mumbai, Feb 2 – Aamir Khan is excited to play villain in ‘Dhoom 3′. The superstar Wednesday said ‘Dhoom’ was a great franchise to work in even though he initially didn’t think he would fit in. 

‘I have recently signed ‘Dhoom 3′. I liked the script very much. When I had watched ‘Dhoom’, I liked it a lot. I enjoyed the music and the whole attitude. It’s a very fun film. I really liked it. I never thought I would fit in this kind of film,’ Aamir told reporters at a press meet here. 

Victor Acharya, who wrote ‘Dhoom’ and ‘Dhoom 2′ is the writer-director of ‘Dhoom 3′. The earlier installments were directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and starred Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra.

‘When I heard the story from Victor, I really enjoyed it. Very well-written script, very enjoyable. It’s a great franchise and I am happy to be part of it. I am also looking forward to work with Abhishek and Uday,’ Aamir said. 

‘It’s true that for the first time I’m doing a negative role, an anti-hero in the mainstream film. I liked my role and all the characters are very well-written. Actually, in between I did another negative role in an offbeat film ‘1947 Earth’,’ said Aamir.

This is the second time Aamir is working with Yash Raj Films after ‘Fanaa’ in 2006.

‘I have worked with Yash Raj and I have a very comfortable relation with them,’ he said.

The actor said Victor and producer Aditya Chopra are yet to decide the actress opposite him.

While ‘Dhoom’ starred John Abraham as villain, ‘Dhoom 2′ saw Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai sizzle too.

Victor Acharya’s debut ‘Tashan’ (2008) fared badly at the box office but that didn’t deter Aamir from signing his film. 

‘I think he is a very talented director. One shouldn’t decide a director’s capacity with the fate of any one of his films. I have full faith in him,’ Aamir said.

Alex Reid finally agrees to divorce Price

London, Feb 2 – Former model Katie Price is set to start official proceedings for her divorce with Alex Reid soon. 

‘Katie told Alex she will petition for divorce as soon as possible. He has agreed. This is one of several significant gestures on his part but he still wants to make sure he gets a good deal,’ contactmusic.com quoted Katie’s friend as saying.

According to reports, Reid has agreed to a legal separation at the blonde beauty’s mansion in Surrey, South East England Monday.

The 35-year-old cage fighter had so far being refusing to move out of the home which he has shared with Katie and her children.

‘He has so far refused to be gagged. He’d rather take a smaller amount financially from the marriage with a view to profit from it in the future,’ the friend said.

Anupam Kher welcomes Raja’s arrest

Kolkata, Feb 2 – Renowned actor Anupam Kher Wednesday welcomed the arrest of former telecom minister A. Raja and said the current attitude of people to accept corruption with a ’smiling face’ is not good for the society. 

‘It’s a good step that finally Raja has been arrested. It is a good beginning, I welcome this step. In our country, there are allegations against many politicians and those cases go on for several years,’ Kher told reporters at the sidelines of a book launch here.

‘But it should not be like he comes out after six months and this step becomes symbolic in order to calm down the anger of the common people,’ Kher said.

Raja was arrested Wednesday for his suspected role in the allocation of airwaves for second generation (2G) phone services, billed as the country’s biggest corruption scandal to date.

‘I am optimist and hope this arrest will bring certain amount of halt to corruption charges against people, individual and government. I am a politically conscious person and never ever in my entire life I have seen or heard of so many scams in the country,’ Kher said.

The Central Bureau of Investigation held Raja, a senior leader of the DMK, a component of United Progressive Alliance government, and two of his aides on primarily two counts — misuse of office in allocation of spectrum, a finite national resource, and amassing wealth much higher than the known and legal sources of their income.

Renowned lyricist and screenwriter Prasoon Joshi denied to comment on Raja’s arrest but felt that care-free attitude towards corruption was dangerous for the society.

‘I do not want to be judgmental about it. But I would like to say one thing that the issue of corruption has become a very easy-going issue among the common people. People crack jokes about it. We do not feel angry about the issue of corruption, we do not feel concerned about it,’ Joshi, who was also present at the function, said. 

‘This is not good for a country which has such a large young population. What will they learn? We should be more firm on the issue of corruption,’ Joshi added.

Debina, Gurmeet set to tie the knot in Feb

Television actors Debina Banerjee and Gurmeet Chaudhary who enacted the role of Sita and Ram in Ramayana on NDTV Imagine is all set to tie the knot in February. The couple is in relationship for more than seven years.

Recently, in Goa Gurmeet proposed Debina in a filmi andaaz with a ring in hand and bending on his knees. At the very moment, Debina said yes to Gurmeet. A source close to Kangna says, "In the film, she plays a girl from Delhi University. So, it was important for Kangna to get acquainted with the lifestyle of Delhi University.

Since Kangna has never experienced campus life in real life as she started working at the age of 16, she decided to get the taste of it before shooting the film.

Many female students at the university live in the women's' hostel as paying guests. Kangna lived in one of those for almost a fortnight to get a feel of their lifestyle. The production team of the film arranged for her to live in one and took required measures to protect her identity."

Kangna who stars with R Madhavan in the film says, "The character of Tanu is rooted in Delhi University. I stayed there and it helped me in my performance.

Gym instructors burn Emraan's effigy!

Protesters from a local gymnasium blackened actor Emraan Hashmi's face on the posters of his latest film 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji' and burnt his effigy, this week.

A group of gym instructors took the management of the Smruti Cinema in Nagpur city by surprise, when they barged into the theatre premises and began blackening Emraan's face on the posters of the recently released romantic comedy, directed by the award-winning Madhur Bhandarkar. It took the bystanders and the management a while to realize that they were upset about the portrayal of the actor's character as a gym instructor in the movie.

"The protesters claimed that Emraan was shown in bad light and that his portions should be deleted," informed the theatre's owner Akshaye Rathi, who refused to relent to their demands, even as they resorted to violence, pulling down posters and burning them along with an effigy of Emraan Hashmi.

This fierce form of protest was surprising, as the actor has been popular in the region and many of his films have fared well in central India territories in the recent past. It can be noted that a few months ago, Emraan had enjoyed a massive fan following at the same theatre, when he visited it to promote his movie 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai'.

Who likes being beaten, kicked and being called names, to give some creep pleasure?''

Jacqueline Fernandes, who has replaced Mallika Sherawat plays a pin up girl who clamours for lust and love. "For me, this film is a love story in the middle of the land of sleaze. It feels great to begin 2011 feeling that you have a winner in your armoury," she says.

And the last word on the film comes from producer Mukesh Bhatt. "Murder 2 will hit you like a sledgehammer," he says, flashing a broad (no pun intended) smile.

Back then adultery and a wife stealing away to meet her lover was a big thing. People were turned on by Emraan's 17-18 smooches and Mallika Sherawat's bare back. Times have changed. It takes a lot to shock and titillate the audience. And we're doing just that."

Mohit, however, refuses to divulge if Jacqueline has gone completely nude. "All I'll say is she's gone as far as the role demands. Jacqueline told me, "My earlier films were for small boys. I want Murder 2 to be for the big boys." She plays a model for an adult magazine, an Indian equivalent of Playboy. So you can imagine what that entails! Jacqueline has completely surrendered to the role."

Murder 2 is set in the world of pimps, hookers and prostitutes. An area familiar to Mohit Suri who made Kalyug about an innocent girl being whisked away to a brothel. "It's a thriller exploring the world of prostitutes, transvestites, pimps and gigolos. It is not a film for the young. Jacqueline will be going far ahead of anything seen so far in terms of the erotic content," promises Mohit.

Mallika Sherawat was never considered seriously for Murder 2. Explains Mohit, "Bringing her and Emraan together again after Murder would've been too much of a repetition. There is a special challenge to making Jacqueline go into the erotic space. Though Murder 2 is a sequel to Murder, it has no connection with the earlier film. I've taken up the challenge of carrying a franchise from Bhatt Saab's Vishesh Films forward. I made Raaz 2, remember?"

As for Jacqueline, here's the thing. She has been working on improving the erotica level of Bipasha in Jism and Mallika in Murder, hoping that Murder 2 would do the same trick for her.

One hopes when the pin-up girl gets into the act Mohit puts the pins in strategic places.

Yes, you read it right! Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor's secret affair is finally out in the open, thereby establishing the lady's fall out with Salman Khan.

Katrina and Ranbir were amongst the guests who attended Karan Johar's party at Hotel Four Season's in Mumbai on Tuesday night. The party got over late but for Ranbir and Kat it continued till the wee hours of morning.

The two stars left from the venue in their respective cars but reached the same destination - Ranbir's Bandra residence. Our photographer, who was following both the cars, saw Kat's car parked in Ranbir's garage. We also hear that Kat didn't leave till as late at 7am in the morning.

It was also reported that Ranbir was at Kat's house the night before the IT raid took place. Aamir will be the baddie in Dhoom 3

After months of discussions, Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan has finally said YES to Dhoom 3. The superstar signed on the dotted line last night. He will be seen playing a baddie which was essayed by John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan in the first and the second part respectively. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will once again play the cop and his tapori sidekick.

The film’s script and storyline is being kept secret, but Aamir Khan has himself confirmed that he was ‘highly impressed’ when he heard the script.

Says a source, “Last year in June, Aamir had met YRF scion Aditya Chopra, who had given Aamir an idea of how he envisaged him in Dhoom 3. Aamir had liked what he heard.

A detailed script narration took place thereafter on August 13 last year. After that, Aamir mulled if he should do the role or not. But then, Aamir always takes time to commit. And once he does, you know that he lives up to the expectations.”

Adds the source, “Aamir will have a very stylized look in the film. Aditya and Aamir have started working on the look.”

Dhoom 3 will not be directed by Sanjay Gadhavi but by Vikram Acharya (aka Victor) who wrote Dhoom and Dhoom 2 and also directed Tashan.

Dhoom 3 is slated for a Christmas release next year.

SRK intervenes in PC-Bebo catfight

Not all was well between Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra. That's natural since Priyanka is now dating Kareena Kapoor's ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapoor, though nothing is official as yet. Anyway, the two sexy damsels, who performed at the Filmfare Awards recently, nearly got into another catfight of sorts.

It so happened that Priyanka's rehearsals took more time than expected, and even ate into Kareena's stage time, so much so that Bebo was kept waiting for four hours. Kareena Kapoor, who was to return to Pune for her shoot with Salman Khan, was furious.

And then came Shah Rukh Khan into the picture. The suave man who was also at the venue for his own rehearsals decided to play mediator between his two favourite heroines - Priyanka and Kareena. He had a word with Kareena and explainedto her that it would be nice if she performed at the event. He also explained that Priyanka's rehearsals would take more time, so if she could reschedule her shoot, it would be great. Kareena, who is an ardent fan of Shah Rukh's, gave in.

Shah Rukh then had a word with Priyanka Chopra separately, and told Priyanka that she needed to do something sweet for Kareena who was being so adjusting. Priyanka understood. She went specially to Kareena and gave her a big, warm bear hug. Thus the hatchet between Kareena and Priyanka was buried. All thanks to our Shah Rukh Khan
