Rakhi Celena to bring new year at Country Club

Sunday, December 28, 2008

It’s going to be party time this New Year’s Eve once again – but not quite as normal. Many of the big Mumbai parties that had been planned have been cancelled for a combination of reasons, As a sign of respect for the victims of the Mumbai attack; for security reasons and the understandable fear that many of the rich and famous have about meeting in one place; because of the exorbitant demands of the performers and the inability to meet those prices during a downturn in the economy.

So most of the big performers will be taking their show on the road. Rakhi Sawant is one of them. She had earlier cancelled a planned performance in Dubai but has now changed her mind - "After the terror attack, I had planned not to perform and even cancelled the Dubai show,” she says, “But, with the city's mood slowly coming back to normal, I have decided to take another offer. It's from the Country Club but it will be in Gujarat."

Celina Jaitley is another who will be dusting off her dancing shoes and shifting to the vibrant desi scene in London for the night. "It's unfortunate that events were cancelled in Mumbai but that was inevitable given what happened,” she explains, “I look forward to international gigs as they give me the opportunity to meet NRI audiences and fans. I am making an appearance at a British-Asian event on the 31st at the London City Pavilion, where popular locals like Rishi Rich and Veronica will perform live.”

The Country Club event in Dubai will now star Mallika Sherawat and pop singer Shibani Kashyap whilst Malaika Arora Khan will be doing her thing in Singapore and Sophie Chaudhury will be in Delhi.

Jiah khan speak about her role in ghajini

Friday, December 26, 2008

With debutant Asin hogging all the limelight opposite Aamir Khan in Ghajini, the other lead character Jiah Khan says she is happy with her role in the film and holds no grudges against anyone.
What about her alleged catfight with Kangana Ranaut, who was reportedly the original choice for her role in the film? "Media finds these stories interesting. None of these stories are correct. Why should I have problems with anyone? I met Kangana at the premiere of 'Fashion'. I think she is superb in the film," said the actress.

"As far as I am concerned I am very happy with my character in the film," the actress told PTI over phone when asked about the media reports that she was upset by not getting enough attention despite playing an important role in the film.
With her sensual look in the film Jiah earned the tag of 'glamour doll' but the 20-year-old actress hopes to acquire a new image with 'Ghajini' which she considers an important milestone in her career.

Jiah made a dream debut last year with Ram Gopal Verma's controversial film 'Nishabd' opposite Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. The film was loosely based on Russian author Vladimir Nabokov's book 'Lolita'.

Saif admitted to Lilavati hospital

Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan was Thursday admitted to the Lilavati hospital here after he complained of pain in his abdomen, hospital sources said.

"He is suffering from an intestine infection. The doctors are still conducting the tests. He will have to remain in the hospital for a few days," a hospital source told IANS.

In 2006, Saif underwent surgery in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur. He had complained of pain in the abdomen then too and the doctors had diagnosed he was suffering from appendicitis.

Akshay Pyikanka jodi back again in public show

Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra, who had stopped working together in spite of doing successful films like "Aitraaz" and "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi", came together after a four-year gap for a show in Hong Kong.

Akshay and Priyanka performed together on stage Thursday for Christmas at the Convention Centre in Hong Kong for the show From Chandni Chowk To Hong Kong.

For reasons best known to them, Akshay and Priyanka, who came together for the first time in "Andaaz", were never seen as a couple on screen after "Waqt - Race Against Time". So deep was the cleft between the pair that Suneel Darshan had to scrap an Akshay-Priyanka starrer after picturising a song with them.

"Yes, I performed on stage with Akshay Kumar in Hong Kong. It was great fun," Priyanka, who has delivered two hits in the row - "Fashion" and "Dostana" - told IANS. And what a rollicking show it was! Audiences have been craving to see the hit pair together for three years. Joining the pair was Bipasha Basu.

After Priyanka drifted away, Akshay tried to form a screen pair with Kareena Kapoor by doing some not so successful films like "Talaash", "Bewafaa" and "Tashan". When that didn't work too well, the actor turned to Katrina Kaif for professional sustenance.

Movie Review Gajini : Go to watch buddy its nice movie

Cast: Aamir Khan, Asin, Jiah Khan, Pradeep Rawat
Director: A.R. Murugadoss
Producer: Allu Aravind , Madhu Varma
Writer: A.R. Murugadoss
Music: A .R . Rahman
The Movie:

Ghajini, the Tamil version, has been a massive hit and so was its dubbed Telugu version. Will the Hindi adaptation live up to the humungous expectations? The hype is unmatched and you expect no less than a present-day masterpiece.

Ghajini is a revenge saga, one ingredient that has been the staple diet of Hindi films since time immemorial. It is a powerful film. It has the power to sweep you off your feet from the word 'go'. It has a riveting story, which has been told with flourish by director A.R. Murugadoss. And, of course, it has a knockout performance by Aamir Khan. If at all there's a shred of doubt whether Aamir is The Best in the business, all you've got to do is check out GHAJINI.

First things first! Ghajini is not MEMENTO. There're minor similarities, but Ghajini takes a completely different route to tell its story. Director A.R. Murugadoss tells this one differently. It starts off with what happens in the past, comes to the present-day, goes back in time again and returns to the contemporary again. This is a breathless, exciting story, heart-breaking and exhilarating at the same time.

Is it violent? It is, at times, but the violence here is justified. In fact, every time the protagonist bashes up the evil-doers, you clap and root for him. The climax is jaw-dropping -- dissimilar from the original, but it's an out of the world experience nonetheless.

Aamir Khan is suffering from acute short-term memory loss set off by the violent murder of his girlfriend Asin. He's got to work around this handicap, but with methodical and meticulous determination. Aamir etches a path of clues that lead him on his road.

To aid him in his quest, he carries around a sheaf of Polaroids and when he is really sure of a piece of information, he has it tattooed on his body, which stands in for the damaged part of his mind. His indelibly marked torso is the repository of his grief, his rage and his reason to go on living.

Director A.R. Murugadoss deserves brownie points for not just coming up with an interesting story, but also presenting it [refreshingly] differently. The storyteller balances the light moments and the ones demanding intensity with expertise. There's dum in every sequence. Even if the director has to depict violence, he doesn't resort to blood-n-gore or knives-swords-pistols for effect.

A.R. Rahman's music is top notch. At least three numbers have the unmistakable stamp of a genius -- 'Guzarish', 'Behka' and 'Kaise Mujhe'. Ravi Chandran's cinematography is stunning. The film bears a stylish look all through. The action sequences are brilliantly executed. The Hindi moviegoers haven't seen such scenes ever.

Asin is fabulous. To share the screen space with an actor of the stature of Aamir Khan and yet remain in your memory even after the show has ended is no cakewalk. She looks fresh and photogenic and acts her part brilliantly. Pradeep Rawat, the villain, is first-rate. Jiah Khan impresses, especially in the sequence when Aamir follows her to a shopping mall.

Aamir delivers his career-best performance. It's awe-inspiring and if more and more people adopt the 'Aamir look' or hit the gym, it would be courtesy the actor. As far as his acting is concerned, he's natural as the tycoon, but like a wounded, ferocious tiger when he goes on an avenging spree. Without doubt, it's a concentrated, layered performance. He acts with his entire being. His body movement, the details of his performance, everything rings true. He is both vulnerable and hard. The pain in his face when he can't remember, is palpable. It's not only the plot that carries GHAJINI. It's also the mood and the expression on Aamir's face that makes GHAJINI a treat.

On the whole, GHAJINI is a winner all the way. The film will set new records and has the merits to emerge one of the biggest Hits of all times. The weekend business should be historic, the Week 1 business should be unparalleled, the lifetime gross should be amongst the biggest of all times. In short, GHAJINI has 'Blockbuster' written all over it.

Anuska Sharma to do two more films with Yash Raj

Monday, December 22, 2008

Anushka Sharma was kept under wraps before her debut film with Shah Rukh Khan, Yash Raj Film’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, was released. Something tells us that even now, after the film has released, you won’t get to see much of her.

That’s because she is bound by a contract to do two more films with Yash Raj, who aren’t in a particular hurry to do that. There’s also talk that Anushka was kept away from the media for a tad longer than necessary. To this, Anushka is quick to defend her banner.

She says, “I was kept away from the media’s glare for a reason. I wanted to focus completely on my film. And it served the purpose.” “Yes, I’m under contract to do two more films with Yash Raj,” says Anushka. She also admits that the next film is not around the corner. “Adi (Aditya Chopra) and I were both busy with Rab Ne… Now they will have to decide what I’m doing next.

But I must say I’m itching to get back in front of the camera.” We point out to Anushka that she wasn’t presented with the finesse and sophistication associated with a typical Yashraj heroine. To this she says, “You are right. Even when girls are supposed to be simple, in a Yash Raj film she’s always glamorous.

I can always get into chiffon saris in my next Yash Raj film.” Anushka sure seems to be gung-ho about her next film, but what we aren’t sure about is whether Yash Raj Films feels the same way too.

Priyanka and sahid kapoor in yash raj kaminey gang

Priyanka Chopra has been around for a while but there are still a few firsts for the actress. It seems that the actress will be shooting for her first on-screen kiss in this movie, where she is paired opposite Shahid Kapur.

Kaminey which is directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, is scheduled for a release in March next year. The film has just completed a schedule in Mumbai. In the film, Priyanka plays a middlecalss Marathi girl, while Shahid plays a gambler, who cons people. His get up in the film is quite interesting as he sports long hair and stubble.

The look was quite secret and Shahid did steer clear of cameras so that he could keep his look under wraps for a while. Incidentally, the single Shahid and the supposedly single Priyanka (she says she is not seeing Harman), are believed to have become very close while shooting for this film. Incidentally, both actors also live in the same building in the suburbs. Priyanka seems to be flying high these days.

She is also believed to have been roped in by Yash Raj Films to do their next film, which will be directed by Jugal Hansraj. Uday Chopra will play the lead in this one.

Sakti kapoor misbehave with Nepali actress Rekha Thapa

Wednesday, December 17, 2008

Indian actor Shakti Kapoor has shown his truenature in Nepal by misbehaving with Nepali actress Rekha Thapa," a Nepali tabloid Wednesday said in a front-page report.

According to the report, the Bollywood actor asked Thapa during shooting if she had a bottle of Coke with her. When she said she was not sure, the actor reportedly used an abusive word and tried to grab her hand.

The Naya Patrika daily, known for its sensational reports, said that while shooting for a Bhojpuri film, "Hum Hai Hero Hindustani" in Birgunj town in south Nepal, the 52-year-old actor, famous for his portrayal of a plotting, lascivious villain, had used a derogatory word about heroine Thapa and also tried to grab her hand.

When Thapa protested angrily and an altercation broke out between the two, another Indian actor who is also cast in the film, telestar Shahbaz Khan, reportedly tried to intervene.

The director, who decided to rope in Kapoor for his third venture, that will also be released as "Mrityu Danda" dubbed in Nepali, said there was no disruption in shooting.

Ekta back in bollywood with Once Upon a Time In Mumbai

For those who think Ekta Kapoor has been hit hard by the termination and debacle of some of her serials, think again! Ekta is all set to produce a string of mega budget films, beginning with Milan Luthria’s Once Upon a Time In Mumbai.

A source close to the production house said, “When Ekta heard the set was going to cost Rs 8.5 crore she was slightly hesitant. But when she saw the design of the set she agreed immediately.”

Ajay Devgan and Emraan Hashmi as Haji Mastan and Dawood Ibrahim respectively. Art director Nitin Desai will be constructing a set costing Rs 8.5 crore at his studio in Karjat.

Why was Ekta lying low when accusations were hurled at her? Ekta replied, “Have I been lying low? If I have it’s because that’s what I wanted to do. Do you really think I care about what my well-wishers would think about me? Anyways, I don't think I owe an explanation to anyone, except my parents, my company and myself.

If I’ve chosen to remain quiet it’s because I didn’t want to talk about my plans until I was ready to hit the road. Now we are all set to start Once Upon A Time In Mumbai.”

Telugu film actress Bargavi dead live-in partner Praveen commit suicide

Telugu film actress Bhargavi, who was found dead with her live-in partner in her apartment here on Tuesday, died of stab injuries, according to the autopsy report.

The reoport confirmed the police claim that her live-in partner Praveen had stabbed her to death before committing suicide by consuming poison. The report of the autopsy, conducted at the Gandhi Hospital on Wednesday, said she was stabbed in the heart and other other parts of the body, resulting in her death. The doctors reported that the murder took place between 4 and 6am.

However, Praveen also said in the suicide note that he married Bhargavi in 2006 but they were living separately. The note said he killed her because she had started neglecting him after her successful debut film. Bhargavi's parents have denied that she ever married Praveen.

Bhargavi, who shot to fame recently with her debut movie "Ashta Chemma", was found murdered in her flat in upscale Banjara Hills locality. The police also found a suicide note, purportedly written by Praveen, which said: "We have decided to commit suicide since her mother is not allowing us to meet."

She had started her career as a stage singer in Praveen's Sai Baba orchestra in Nellore district and later became an anchor in a television channel. She also acted in a TV serial. She was shooting for her second film "Holidays". According to film industry sources, she was working in 10 films.

Her murder has revived the memory of the mysterious death of another budding actress, Pratyusha, in 2002. Pratyusha and her lover had allegedly committed suicide as their parents were against their alliance. Though the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) declared it to be a case of suicide, her mother still maintains that she was murdered.

Mallika Speak about her Type of Man

Monday, December 15, 2008

Though Mallika has been linked with a businessman in the past, the actress candidly confesses that she is single and dying to mingle. But what kind of man is Mallika looking for?

Speaking to a tabloid, Mallika said she is searching for a man who is “intelligent, educated, articulate, single, and financially independent”.

But, according to Mallika, there are two strong conditions that her man has to meet. Firstly, he shouldn’t be from Bollywood. People from the film industry apparently don’t turn Mallika on. Secondly, as Mallika herself puts it: “I need a tough guy to handle me.” Boy! What does that mean?

Sanjay dutta want to have tattoo on chest

After inking a lion tattoo on his left arm and Manyata's on the other, Sanjay Dutt is getting ready for a Japanese tattoo on his chest. He is going to ink the sixth tattoo on his chest at Hakim Aalim's parlor. Aalim says, "Sanju baba now wants a Japanese tattoo on his chest. He already has five tattoos. He is very enthusiastic about his Japanese design and has given me quite a few designs to choose from.

Apart from inking number of tattoos, Sanju baba is also experimenting on his hair. He has donned a new hairstyle for Bunty Walia's Lamhaa. Aalim says, "Right now, it's the platinum style, which takes four hours to do. His white-haired look needs to be retouched every 10 days.

We have done his lion's tattoo and the tattoo 'dilnasheen' on his two arms. One of his other tattoos has been done in Goa. Now his lion tattoo needs to be repaired. If tattoos are not taken proper care of they can get damaged through scratches and scabs."
With growing ages, Sanjay Dutt is undergoing a massive changeover. Let’s see whether the new look of Sanjay will able to bring him glory.

Amir giving private tuition to Jiah khan

Jiah Khan, who thinks in English, got into trouble when she was asked to deliver lengthy emotional Urdu dialogues for "Ghajini" in sync sound, but says that her co-star Aamir Khan bailed her out.

"My mom, who lives in London, flew down during the shooting. She speaks Urdu fluently. She ran through the dialogues with me over and over again. I think I've done my lines very well. To have my lines dubbed would have taken away from my performance. I think I managed my lines well,"

"I must admit it was a bit of a problem. Aamir and the director got me an Urdu dialogue coach, Athar Nawaz who guided me. And each time I'd be stuck with a line Aamir helped me out," she added.

Other than speaking Hindi, Jiah, who debuted with Ram Gopal Varma's "Nishabd", has also learned Bollywood style dancing. Like the Urdu-Hindi, I've mastered the dancing to a large extent," she said.

Jiah has also shot a song titled "Lattoo" in "Ghajini" with choreographer Gita Kapoor. Ad filmmaker Ravi Udyawar has directed it. "I realised how hard it is to do a sizzling song. The song is a very Jennifer Lopez kind of number. It's very stylish and chic. In a week's time, it goes on air. That should answer the question why I'm not seen in the publicity," she said.

Shilpa had accident with her Sunglasses

Bollywood beauty Shilpa Shetty recently injured her foot and blames her big sunglasses for the mishap. The actress says that it has disrupted the schedule of her international project "Desire".

"It is nothing that local anaesthesia, a tetanus injection and antibiotics couldn't solve. There's nothing to worry about other than my dates that have gone for a toss, disabling me from taking Odissi lessons for my new film 'Desire'," she wrote.

"I hurt my foot bad enough to get 15 stitches don't ask me how. In a freak accident, thanks to my big sunglasses and nose in the air, I overlooked a sharp metal piece that slit my foot, thankfully not below but over the foot," Shilpa posted on her

But for now, she plans to take it easy for at least two weeks for the healing of her injured foot. She ended her blog by posting: "Look before you leap and stay grounded."

The actress, who made a special appearance in hit film "Dostana", is extremely excited about this Indo-Chinese project in which she is working with a foreign actor for the first time. She is paired with Chinese actor Xia Yu.

Dubai film fest is heaven on earth : Preeti Zinat

Actor Preity Zinta's Last Lear was prominent at several international film fests and now the Deepa Mehta-directed Heaven on Earth , too, is doing its bit around the globe. Only recently, the movie was screened at the Dubai Film Festival (2008). "Such films give you creative satisfaction. You don't do it for the money or any other commercial aspect. You do films like Heaven On Earth simply because they are brilliant scripts and address an issue... You feel proud to be part of such movies," says actor Preity Zinta, who also attended the 'Cinema against Aids 2008' function at the Dubai fest.

Apparently, Deepa Mehta gave Zinta very short notice, and was surprised that her actress even made it there. Mehta said, "I didn't expect to see Preity in Dubai at such a short notice. It was very sweet of her to come since Heaven On Earth is as much her film as mine." The Dubai Film Fest was a double celebration of sorts for Deepa, as her brother, Dilip Mehta's film The Forgotten Woman was also screened there.

About the reaction of the audiences there, Preity Zinta said it was 'encouraging'. "You get to meet people who are crazy about films. And it's great to talk films with them. Festivals give you a chance to be exposed to different cultures, and different forms of filmmaking," she said.

Attended by the likes of Salma Hayek, Goldie Hawn, Nicolas Cage... this fest proved to a Heaven on Earth experience for all those who attended it!

Karina Kapoor wants looks like normal girl

Kareena Kapoor has decided that the only way she can get a rest from her daunting schedule is to disappear off the scene for a holiday – so she's packed her bags and is off to the Alps for the Christmas period. Saif has arranged to be with her for a five-day period. "Kareena doesn't want to be seen in any party or event during Christmas or New Year or because she feels it is very inappropriate after of the terror attacks," said a source.

Meanwhile, as we reported trendsetter Kareena has announced the end of the Size Zero fashion. With Indian audiences clearly preferring their women to look less androgynous, she has decided she won't be keeping to a strict diet anymore. "People used to wonder what 'size zero' is and I'd joke, 'Just look at me'. I don't want that any more," she explains, "I want to look like a normal healthy girl. My forthcoming releases required me to get back to a fuller shape."

Kareena seems to be attracted to cold weather. She was recently shooting with Aamir Khan in the mountainous region of Ladakh for 3 Idiots and was also with Karan Johar's home production in Philadelphia where the temperature dropped to minus three. "It was the coldest night of my life," she says, "You've no idea what it was like in that heavy snowfall with a unit of 80 people. But it looked like heaven." Luckily, Saif was also there to keep her warm.

Amrita change her looks to compete bollywood

Actress Amrita Rao has been stuck with a Miss Goody image for quite a while now. The actress is understandably quite desperate to shed that image and keep herself in the league for all kinds of roles.

Her role in Neeraj Vora’s Shortkut, is apparently an attempt to do just that. The actress was cast in the film opposite Akshaye Khanna and she supposedly had some romantic scenes opposite Akshaye, which it seems have been edited out. It seems that the actress had gone on a dare bare mode for the film, so when she discovered that her role had been chopped, she is believed to have retaliated by delaying the film’s dubbing. According to sources, after she voiced her opinion, a special scene was shot with her in it, reportedly to appease her.

To be a part of the race, Amrita needs to stay in the limelight, which was one of the reasons she signed this movie. She also hoped to prove her point with her dare bare strategy in this movie. But it seems that her efforts may have just gone in vain.

It seems that Akshaye has the chunkiest role in the film, which is produced by Anil Kapoor. The fact is not surprising, as Anil and Akshaye share a very good relationship. The other actor in the film is Arshad Warsi. But to come back to Amrita, the actress was last seen in Welcome To Sajjanpur in one of her usual roles.

Deepika playing two role in Chandni Chowk to China

The promo video for Chandni Chowk to China has hit UK screens with Deepika Padukone looking simply ravishing as a Chinese showgirl – although some people have commented that the heavy use of eyeliner has made her look older.

Dipika plays two roles in the movie – Chinese martial artist Meow Meow and an Indian girl called Sukhi. "Playing two different characters was quite challenging for me as they are so contrasting in nature. One is an Indian girl with traditional values and the other a Chinese girl who is bold and sexy", explains Deepika.

Rumour had it originally that they were going to use adhesive tape to produce the Chinese look in her eyes. "We had thought of that initially but it wasn't a good idea to use tapes, they're bad for the skin," says Deepika, "My makeup artist came up with a simpler solution and used the eyeliner in such a way that it gave my eyes the Chinese tweak."

Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor has denied that there is a rift between Deepika and himself over his hot on-screen relationship with Katrina Kaif. "There is nothing wrong with me and Deepika,” he says, “We are as good friends today as we were earlier. Nothing has changed at all. We are busy in our work and everything is going fine.

Bollywood is waiting for Asin

The race for the top slot among the heroines seems to be hotting. Till a little while ago, the field seemed to be clear for Katrina Kaif. But that was before Fashion and Dostana happened and Priyanka Chopra was back in reckoning.

It’s says quite a lot for the actress, who has already made waves without a single release whatsoever. She has already started acting like a B town heroine she is believed to have sat through the entire shooting of a song which was being picturised on Ghajini’s second heroine, Jiah Khan. Just checking out the competition, we guess. R

Now with the release of Ghajini around the corner, the film’s heroine Asin, seems to be tipped to be the next big thing that has happened to Hindi cinema. Even before the release of Ghajini, the actress has already been signed on by Vipul Shah for his London Dreams where she is paired opposite Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan.

Reports of her having endeared herself to all her co stars, the actress seems set to go places. We are sure that Katrina will be feeling a little insecure. She has a lot more competition on her hands right now. It’s just a matter of a few days before Asin’s fate will actually be decided. Once Ghajini hits the theatres, all speculations will be dispelled and facts will be revealed.

Malaysian Claims Shahrukh Khan is ours

Source: NDTV Moview
Shah Rukh is ours!", a Malaysian newspaper said in its editorial applauding the conferment of Datukship on the Bollywood superstar.

With the title akin to British knighthood, Malaysia could claim "personal ownership of a global product from India, the inestimable Datuk Shah Rukh Khan," the prestigious New Straits Times said.

Nursing an arm injured during a film shoot last Friday, Shah Rukh flew in Saturday on a brief visit to be the first foreign actor to receive the award amidst rapturous ovation and took a rickshaw ride through Malacca, winning hearts of the citizenry.

Justifying the decision of the Malacca state to confer the award on Shah Rukh Khan, the editorial said: "Sadly for them, the answer is not what Shah Rukh has done but who he is. And who he is, is not just a fabulously successful 43-year-old film star with global recognition and vast masses of devoted fans".

"Nor is he just a talented and hard-working entertainer with more bankable cultural-crossover appeal than any other Bollywood stars of his generation (with the possible exception of Hrithik Roshan, who is taller and dances better but lacks Shah Rukh's political clout)," it added.

Trying to strike a balance in its praise, the newspaper said: "No, our latest Datuk's personal assets and career achievements themselves did not justify the honour. Nor, frankly, do his movies, particularly not One 2 Ka 4, the last of his six movies to be shot in Malaysia, featuring a sequence of Shah Rukh and leading lady Juhi Chawla disporting themselves around a Famosa."

"This may or may not have boosted Malacca's tourism; when a star of Shah Rukh's incandescence is on screen, everything else tends to be reduced to, well, scenery," the editorial said, adding the justification for this award was proven at the ceremony itself, when his simple presence was enough to send the assembled dignitaries into a twittering fluster of swoons.

Shah Rukh and other Bollywood stars, as also those from the Tamil cinema are immensely popular in Malaysia and their movies and music are released regularly.

The popularity goes beyond the estimated 2.5 million ethnic Indians who form eight percent of Malaysia's 28 million population.

Vikram and me or different : Vijay Ilayathalapathy

Our Ilayathalapathy Vijay is very particular that the films he does are all larger than life mass entertainers. He makes no bones about it that he does only formulaic films that cater to the taste of his fans. Vijay in an interview said that he does not want to do “something different or try out challenging roles”, as his focus is only the Box-Office

Recently, when the Ilayathalapathy was asked why he doesn’t choose challenging roles like Vikram, the actor spoke his heart on the issue. “I’m not someone who’ll walk the extra mile for a challenging role. I don’t want to play risky roles because that’s not what my fans want from me. All that they’re looking for is clean entertainers, and that’s my forte,” explained the actor.

Dhoni to act in bollywood movie 'Hook Ya Crook'

Dhawan, whose last film 'Partner' did good business at the box office in 2007, will begin shooting for the film from January 2009, UTV Motion Pictures said. Written by Rensil D'Silva, the award-winning writer of 'Rang De Basanti', 'Hook Ya Crook' stars John Abraham in the lead.

Reportedly, Indian cricket captain MS Doni is also playing a role in the film. However, sources in UTV Motion Pictures said nothing has been finalised so far. The female lead is likely to be Genelia D'Souza, sources said.

UTV Motion Pictures has also shared a commendable relationship with John Abraham in the past with 'Hook Ya Crook' being John's second film after "Goal", she said.

This is the first time that the ace comedy director will be teaming up with John for a complete entertainer. Alpana Mishra, COO production, UTV Motion Pictures said that the company has been extremely eager to associate with David Dhawan and 'Hook Ya Crook' was just the perfect platform to seal this relationship.

Vidya Family showing Family Drama on "Ishqiya" Set

Vidya Balan reportedly had a family get-together of sorts on the sets of Vishal Bharadwaj's "Ishqiya". According to a unit member, Vdya's 80-year-old aunt accompanied Vdya mother and sister to the shoot in Wai, Maharashtra.

Ranbir hits katrina on Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani set

Katrina, recently declared the sexiest woman in Asia, was shooting with Ranbir Kapoor on the sets of Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahani in Madh Island. The duo were acting out a chase sequence where they were hounded by the goons. The scene demanded Ranbir to turn around and hit one of the chasing goons.

According to reports, Ranbir immediately apologized to the actress, but she took no offence because she knew the blow wasn t intended. However, dainty Katrina was hurt and had to be given first-aid on the sets. "She was in great pain but realised that it was unintentional, so she didn t complain, said a member of the crew.

The shot would have had a photo finish only that Ranbir's blow landed on the wrong face! In an accidental miss he happened to hit Katrina, who ended up with a bleeding nose. (Wondering how would Deepika feel about this one!)

A worried Santoshi called off shooting for the day. The next day, too, Santoshi did not shoot the film but used the free time to do some decoration on the sets.

Censor board pass Nandana sen fully topless scene in Rang Rasia

Eager fans of sexy actress Nandana Sen are in for a surprise, the girl will be shown fully naked from the wait above in her forthcoming film Rang Rasiya.

Movie review: Rab ne Bana di Jodi- Sahrukh is countless

Cast: Shahrukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, Anupam Kher, Farida Jalal,
Director: Aditya Chopra Producer: Aditya Chopra, Yash Chopra
Writer: Aditya Chopra
Music: Salim Merchant , Sulaiman Merchant

The movie:
To start with, RAB NE BANA DI JODI brings back the golden team of it's not set in London or Switzerland, there's no sarso ke khet, it's not about a good looking couple sporting designer outfits and accessories, there's no parental opposition either.

Set your eyes anywhere and you see countless unknown faces. In markets, malls, streets, airports, stations, just about everywhere. And everyone who walks this planet has a story to tell. With RAB NE BANA DI JODI, Aditya Chopra talks of one such ordinary person. Living in one of those crowded bylanes of Amritsar, his life undergoes a 360 degree change the moment he sets his eyes on a beautiful girl.

The problem is, RAB NE BANA DI JODI works in patches. The first 30 minutes and the penultimate 30 minutes are the highpoint of the enterprise, but the screenplay in between doesn't hold your attention. That's the truth. In a nutshell, RAB NE BANA DI JODI is no DILWALE DULHANIYA LE JAYENGE. It's not MOHABBATEIN either. At best, it's an average fare that may generate some curiosity initially, that's it. You expect much, much more, but… alas!

Surinder [Shah Rukh Khan], a simple, clean hearted, honest man working for Punjab Power, leads a humdrum life, but the moment he sets his eyes on Taani [Anushka Sharma], his life undergoes a change. She's flamboyant, fun-loving, vivacious, unlike Surinder. But unforeseen circumstances bring them together.

The sequences thereafter are equally uneven. A few sequences are well executed, but the problem is that Shah Rukh keeps playing the game till the very end. If he had to win her heart, he could've done so by making her realize that it's a mirage, making her realize that the person she loves and the person she's married are the same.

Director Aditya Chopra is letdown by his own writing. The story is not convincing, the screenplay is not water-tight and therefore, RAB NE BANA DI JODI does not create the impact it ought to make. Also, the film is quite lengthy. With a running time of approx. 2.45 hours, RAB NE BANA DI JODI could've easily done with some trimming. The unwanted flab could've been trimmed for a better impact.

Salim-Sulaiman's music is of a mixed variety. 'Haule Haule' is a superb composition and 'Dance Pe Chance' is foot-tapping, but the remaining tracks, though well shot, are plain average. Ravi Chandran's cinematography is top notch.
On the whole, RAB NE BANA DI JODI is vey desi at heart with a strong start and an equally strong emotional end. Having said that, you cannot deny the fact that you expect much, much more from Aditya Chopra. RAB NE BANA DI JODI is no DILWALE DULHANIYA LE JAYENGE, it's not MOHABBATEIN either. It's lower than that! At the box-office, the business will be better at some multiplexes, while the single screens will be below average. The business in Overseas, however, should be better, but the business in India will totter, tremble and fumble after the initial weekend.

Ghajini release may schedule next year

Thursday, December 11, 2008

Post 26/11, film business has been hit hard. Most cineplexes are running to negligible occupancy and in some instances, the management has been forced to call off shows due to lack of audiences.

On the contrary, Ghajini producer Madhu Mantena says that the film will arrive earlier. The film was slated for release on Thursday, 25th December, but the makers have decided to release it on Wednesday, 24th December night. "We're organising paid previews across the country on Wednesday night, which means we're releasing Ghajini a day earlier," Madhu tells me.

Perhaps this may have prompted people to assume that Aamir Khan's keenly anticipated Ghajini, which is confirmed for Thursday, 25th December, might get pushed to the New Year. But it's not true!

Being of Islam Religion I feel little Scared : Saif Ali Khan

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are the latest Bollywood stars to criticise the government for failing to tackle terrorism and protect citizens. Both said they were "disgusted" with politicians "who provide no leadership" while arming themselves "with so many security guards".

The actors were busy shooting for Renzil D'Silva's untitled project in Philadelphia when the mayhem broke loose in Mumbai Nov 26. "The government has failed us again. The BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) is advertising for votes while the bodies of the dead have not yet been cremated. Mr (Narendra) Modi had offered Rs 10 million to the widow of Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) chief Hemant Karkare. The news has shaken the foundations of our city and destroyed our already shaky belief in our government's ability to protect us," Saif wrote in a statement circulated to the media and signed by both.

Saif also slammed the terrorists for killing "innocent people" in the name of "god" or "religion". "As an Indian and a Muslim, I feel like expressing my condemnation and outright disgust at any party killing innocent people in the name of god, Allah or whatever we choose to call him.

"I am so worried that the whole religion (Islam) will be judged and condemned. There are strong communal feelings running through all strata's of our society and I find it hard to defend the fact that there seems to be a Muslim hand behind every detonator. I feel a little scared as a Muslim now," explained the actor.

Saif added: "I would like to thank the NSG (National Security Guard) and the Mumbai police who handled the situation so well with so little on their side in terms of equipment and support.

Katrina Kaif is most Popular actress between net users

Actress Katrina Kaif is the most googled for Bollywood star in India, according to Google's own India Zeitgeist research arm, followed closely by social networking site Orkut. "Different people find different things to do on the Web, so these lists are a good representation of the unique ways in which users mine the Internet," says Vinay Goel of Google India. In terms of Bollywood actors, Katrina just edged out Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan during the period surveyed.

Ktrina says that it is the director that has most influence on her decision to make a movie and this is what influenced her to make Yuvvraaj. "I knew that I was not the protagonist in Yuvvraaj, but I wanted to be a part of it since an established director like Subhash Ghai was making it," she explains. Certainly, her appearance in Yuvvraaj has attracted many fans. "Katrina looks like a dream in Yuvvraaj. She has never looked so gorgeous before," said a source.

On the movie front, the survey which covers roughly the first half of this year, saw Jodhaa Akbar in first place, followed by Dasavatharam and Singh is Kinng. Amongst other high scorers were tennis star Sania Mirza, Goa and India Railways.

Hritik meets Michael jaction while shooting Kite

Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan remained stunned when world famous pop star Michael Jackson walked into his make-up room while we was in Los Angeles shooting for Anurag Basu's Kites.

A source reveals, "Hrithik was in his make-up room when Michael's two bodyguards entered. He was taken aback to see these burly men enter the room. On questioning them, he learnt that they were Mikal jaction's body guards."

Presently, Hrithik is busy shooting for Kites with model Barbara Mori. Kites also star Kangana Ranaut in the pivotal role. The film is much in news for glitz and glamour and for the heavy loaded bold scene of Hrithik with Barbara. The film is salted for 2008 release.

The most interesting moment of the meeting is that Michael Jackson introduced himself to the actor. "Michael introduced himself to Hrithik. It was a funny scene to see someone like him who the whole world knows introducing himself. The two spoke for a short time and then Micheal left."

Anu malik verbally oppose Sonali on Indian Idol

Did you know that Annu Malek has moods on Indian Idol? It almost seems that he decides in advance who is going to be at the receiving end of his comments. It was Sonali’s turn to be on his wrong side.

Each time she said something it came up for some comments from Annu Malek. After pretty girl Torsha’s performance when Sonali commented on her strong body language, Annu immediately decided to elaborate on it. "That’s enough Annu about the body language, pointed Sonali, "you can concentrate on her face!" Kudos for that Sonali!

Working with new directors is risky: Katrina Kaif

The actress justified her stance by narrating how she agreed to her role in recently released “Yuvvraaj”, in which she was cast opposite real-life beau Salman Khan.

“The first thing that I see before choosing a film is definitely the director. If a new person comes to me with a script and says 'let's go for it', I should be really willing to take risks to agree but I guess that will also happen sometime. Working with new directors is risky,” Karina Says.

“If a director who can't pull off a good script comes up to me with a fantastic script and I love it, it is still a meaningless and futile exercise to go ahead with the film. For me, who directs the film is of utmost importance,” Katrina said.

“I knew that I was not the protagonist in 'Yuvvraaj', but I wanted to be a part of it since an established director like Subhash Ghai was making it,” she said. Katrina says most actors admit that the script excites them, but for her, right director is priority.

Source: Times Now
Will the Indian flag fly high this year at the Miss World 2008 beauty pageant when India's representative at the contest Parvathy Omanakuttan will unleash her charm and confidence to win the crown at Johannesburg?

The 21-year-old, 5 feet 9 inches tall beauty from Kerala, is all confident about her victory and that she will be able to carry forward the legacy of other glamour queens like Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999) and Priyanka Chopra (2000).

"I am very much confident about my victory. Femina Miss India World is not merely a crown of joy for me. With the crown, the responsibility of upholding the name of the country has also fallen on my shoulders," she said in a statement.

Asked about her preparations for the pageant on December 11, Parvathy said, "Preparations have started ever since I won the Femina Miss India contest in April this year. Apart from just concentrating on my appearance, I am trying to be a stronger person to face the contest."

Superstar Rajnikanth, the ultimate "Style Mannan", an icon in the Tamil Film Industry has scaled great heights of success by sheer talent, mannerism, charisma and last but not the least, mass appeal with an immensely loyal fan following.

He may have essayed many villain roles in his early days, but with Thalapathy, there was no looking back for the actor. Annamalai, Basha, Muthu, Padayappa, Chandramukhi and Sivaji proved time and again that none can equal him when it comes to draw ing the crowds back to the cinema halls.

A fairy tale it may seem that a villain over the years took on a hero image and then went on to grace superstardom. His forthcoming release Enthiran opposite Aishwarya Rai has already created ripples, way before it release in the theatres.

With power packed dialogue delivery to match his stylized gestures, he has found his way into the hearts of even those who have criticized him. The actor has also performed in many Hindi movies during his acting career. While our dear Superstar Rajini turns 58 this year, we wish him Happy Birthday. Jodi no 6 Mohit Malik and Addite out of Nach Baliye 4

Jodi no 6, of Nach Baliye 4, Mohit Malik and Addite Shirwakar got the bolt from the blue, when their name was announced in the elimination round. This came as a shock, since they were doing quite well all this while and no one expected that their journey in the show would end just yet.

Apparently the couple is getting a lot of e-mails from all over, re-confirming whether this is for real or simply hearsay! Surely it's very touching for the couple to receive such thoughtful mails.

Being non-dancers, both Addite and Mohit had given their best so far. Regardless of a serious knee injury, Addite continued working hard to master the dance moves.

For those who are wondering what the couple is upto? Well fret not, you can catch Mohit in Dulhan and Addite is taking some time off till something interesting comes her way. Hoping to see this lovely couple together again!!

Movie Review: Oh My GOD! - Better second half

Cast:Vinay Pathak, Saurabh Shukla, Divya Dutta, Harsh Chhaya, Gaurav Gera
Producer: Zee Limelight
Director: Saurabh Srivastava
Music: Tutul, Bapi

The Movie:
Sourabh Shrivastava'soh, my god!!! may give an impression that it's yet another offshoot of BRUCE ALMIGHTY but the fact is that OH, MY GOD!! reminds you of the Hrishikesh Mukherjee/Basu Chatterjee films of the 1970s and 1980s.

Like most debutante-helmed vehicles, OH, MY GOD!! comes with its share of plusses and minusses. In this case, the aces overpower the deficiencies. omy god! may not be the ideal multiplex fare, but it has its heart in the right place.

Rajendra [Vinay Pathak], a simple salesman with big dreams, a hardcore Dhirubhai Ambani fan, wants to make it big in life through ethical means. Suman [Divya Dutta], his loving wife, stands by her husband at all times. As Rajendra continues to fail in his various money-making schemes, Suman pleads with God to help her husband.
Note the sequences in the second hour. Vinay Pathak watching the bagful of currency with disbelief -- it's wonderfully executed and enacted. God's [Saurabh Shukla] emergence every time Vinay decides to abandon the bag, is another interesting aspect. The finale -- when Vinay throws the money on the street -- is brilliant. In short, the film redeems itself in the second hour.

Given the fact that OH, MY GOD!! has been shot in 19 days, it doesn't look like a hurried job at all. Sourabh takes a simple story of a simpleton and narrates it in the most simplistic manner. The film has a lethargic pace in the first hour and that tapers the effect to an extent, but its back on its feet, post intermission.

oh my god rests on Vinay Pathak and Saurabh Shukla's firm shoulders and both deliver natural performances. Vinay is very believable in the latter reels, while Saurabh is equally credible. Divya Dutta is first-rate as the doting wife. Gaurav Gera does well. Harsh Chhaya is okay.
On the whole, o my god !! is a feel-good fare, with a strong second hour. At the box-office, it should grow with a strong word of mouth.

Priyanka is currently shooting for Ashutosh Gowarikar's What's Your Rashee? The actress has donned 12 different looks in the film. This will be her second film after Love Story 2050 with beau Harman Baweja. Ask her about having any insecurity of starring with beau Harman, Priyanka defends him with all gusto.

She have been part of all the special effects cinema like Krrish, Drona and Love Story 2050. One did well and two didn't do well but that does not affect me. I have been working hard each day. I have not taken a single day off. I think it's time for me to take that day off now," she said.

If actors picked films just because their first film didn't do well, we would all be out of work now. My first film Heroes didn't do well either nor did Abhishek's first film Refugee. He has signed Ashutosh Gowarikar film and he knows what he is doing. Ashutosh knows what he has in his hands when he chose Harman for the film. If that was the case, I would be out of work now. My four films didn't do well this year. Give him a chance to prove himself," she says.

But for now, Piggy Chops is taking it easy and enjoying the attention of her beau, Harman Baweja, on the sets as well as off the sets

Akki Jumbo and Aamir Ghajini may Clash box office

"We have purposely pitched Jumbo against Ghajini because we feel that our film has the ability to stand against a big commercial film," said Shailendra M. Singh, managing director of Percept Picture Company. Jumbo that is scheduled to release on Dec 25 is an animation film where the protagonist, an elephant, sets out in search of his parents.
Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta, Dimple Kapadia, Rajpal Yadav, Gulshan Grover and Asrani are some of the voices behind the animated characters.

"Children's content is not a priority in our country. However, we want to change this scenario. In my view Jumbo is not just an animation film, which deserves to be only in the children film category. I want it to be in the general film category, viewed by people of all ages," said Singh, who has plans to rope in cricketer Yuvraj Singh as the Punjabi voice of Jumbo.

The film, which is dedicated by Akshay to his six-year-old son Aarav will have a special screening at his place before it formerly hits the screens
Percept Picture Company's animation caper Jumbo, might be a film under children's content category, but it aims to give tough competition to Aamir Khan's much-awaited film Ghajini, releasing on the same date.

Prabu Deva back on the sets of Villu.

It's the best way to get over one’s personal tragedy. Recently after the Mumbai massacre, the Manager of Taj Hotel whose family was wiped out by the terrorist, preferred to stay on at work rather than go into mourning. It is a very tough thing, especially when you have lost your dear ones.

Prabhu Deva who was shattered by the death of his son is trying to put back his tears, remorse and grief by throwing himself on his work. We salute the spirit and commitment of Prabhu Deva. A day after the sad demise of his son Vishal, Prabhu was back on the sets of his Villu.

The Villu unit shot some patchwork to the climax and the Shubham scene. Later on a huge set at Binny Mills, the introductory song of Vijay was being shot. It was choreographed by Vijay's opening song specialist Asok Raj, who has done many of his hit songs. Ayngaran Music will be launching the Villu audio on December 15. The music of Devi Sri Prasad is going to rock.

No wonder then that the woman could balance her home, creative interests and films all so well. She was quoted as saying, “I am very organized. I think it is a birth defect.

She might have worked in a plethora of good movies in Bollywood and down South, but she does have some favorites. When it comes to Hindi films, Rati feels, Ek Duje Ke Liye, Tawaif, Shubkamana, Mujhe Insaaf Chahiye and Shaukeen were the best for she enjoyed doing the different roles. Coolie, Mazdoor and a few more are her second best.

Dil Kabaddi Movie review: Just OK to watch

Cast:Irfan Khan, Rahul Bose, Soha Ali Khan, Payal Rohatgi, Rahul Khanna
Director: Anil Senior
Producer: Shailesh R. Singh
Music: Sachin Gupta

The Movie:Heavily inspired by Woody Allen's 1992 film HUSBANDS & WIVES, DIL KABADDI is bold and piping hot for the Indian audiences. The question is not whether Indian audiences are ready for a theme like this. The question is, does the script hold your attention for the next 2 hours? Sadly, it doesn't!

Dil kabbadi has no plot as such and debutante director Anil Senior adopts an abstract style of storytelling. It's more of an assemblage of assorted incidents and individualistic sequences. At several times, the characters keep talking to the camera, talking of their feelings, fantasies and thoughts.

Dil kabddi is a marital comedy that delves into the lives of two couples who are caught in the web of post-marital boredom. How the couples deal with an irresistible temptation of lurking out of the relationship for some fun is what the film explores. It's essentially a take on some urban relationships.

It works in bits and spurts, but not in totality. The script suffers mainly because there's no beginning, no middle, no end. Just assemblage of assorted sequences!

Dil Kabadi is rich in performances and that's because of the presence of such accomplished actors. Irrfan Khan is in terrific form. Soha Ali Khan is getting better and better. She's excellent! Rahul Bose is fabulous. Konkona Sen Sharma is brilliant. Rahul and Konkona's scenes are amazing. Rahul Khanna is first-rate. Payal Rohtagi is good. Saba, as Rahul's student, is a complete natural.

There's tremendous shock-value in DIL KABADDI. Just about everything related to the sex life is discussed in this film. A few sequences do register an impact, like the one when Irrfan goes out on a date with his office colleague and ends up doing shirshasana. Also, Rahul Bose's student demanding a passionate kiss on her birthday. And the sequence at the party when Payal Rohatgi ends up giving aerobic lessons to some senior citizens... But after a point, the narrative gets monotonous and worse, verbose.

On the whole, Dill Kabaddi has shock-value, but not a strong plot to leave an impact. At the box-office, it caters to a niche audience. It's a film for a handful of multiplexes in a handful of cities. At most places, this 'Kabaddi' will run out of breath. Strictly for adult viewing!

Govinda delaying Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai

It seems that the actor is driving producer-director Ravi Chopra mad. The shooting of the film in question, Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai, is more or less complete and the actor is playing truant about giving dates for the film's dubbing. His other co-stars in the film, Lara Dutta and Tabu have already finished their portion of the dubbing.

Actor Govinda still continues to play all his old tricks on his hapless directors. Despite managing to make a comeback after a long lean period the actor refuses to mend his ways. One would have thought that the actor would have been grateful for the second chance that life has given him.

Govinda does not seem to have the time to dub or complete the last couple of scenes that are left to can. If that is not enough to drive some one mad, then what is? Meanwhile, Chopra has started work on his next film, Pocket Maar, which will star Amitabh Bachchan and Shahid Kapur. It is scheduled to go on the floor next year.

Dev Anand Autobiography : Romancing with Life

Tuesday, December 9, 2008

Dev Anand was at his best when he launched his Autobiography Romancing with Life yesterday at his Anand Recording Studio.

This is not only about my life in films but even my days before I had joined the industry. Of course I had to edit a lot of things. Every day life is a new chapter. But I have included most things that have made a difference to me- things which made me grow as a person, things which hurt me, etc.He said

This book is about me, me and only me, said the evergreen hero. However, he did not wish to divulge much into detail about the book as it would only hit the stands on his birthday on 26th September.

He went on This book will be for people who know Dev Anand, who wish to know Dev Anand and who wish to know more of Dev Anand. On asking him if he would allow the book to me made into a movie he replied, That would depend on the person making it. If I feel he is capable enough then why not?

ADMK is against Rajnikant

Source: CeneSouth
This crowd has not been paid to gather here. They come here through affection." This is a dialogue spoken by Rajini in a film. This dialogue seems to find favor with ADMK now.

This angered Sathyanarayana supporters who decided to quit the fan clubs and join ADMK. Sathyanarayana poured oil on the simmering anger of his supporters and this dissent spread to other districts and 14 fan club executives decided to join ADMK. On Rajini's birthday on Dec 12, they plan to have a function for those who are joining the party and give Rajini a shock treatment.

Of recent times, there have been many changes with Rajini's fan clubs. He never meets with his fans generally, but a few weeks back, he met with his fan club executives for discussions. Shortly after, he removed his all India Rajini fan club chief Sathyanarayana, from his post. He appointed his long time friend Sudhakar as the new chief.

This came to the ears of O Paneeselvam who decided to do something to reduce Rajini's power. Now his main aim is to brainwash Rajini fans, or ex-fans as the case may be, attract them to the ADMK party with miniscule posts. So many fans have now been caught in the ADMK net.

Delhi Belly is not a sexual comedy at all : Imran khan

Monday, December 8, 2008

Ranbir Kapoor had opted out of Delhi Belly with a squirm, protesting to producer Aamir Khan that he wouldn’t be able to watch the film at the premiere with his parents. “I’d have no problem watching it with my mom or girlfriend. I’ve a cool rapport with my mom.”

Who says Aamir is no longer taking interest in nephew Imran’s career? After Aamir heard that Imran had performed a hugely dangerous stunt for Kidnap, Aamir called Imran home and gave him a dressing -down.

Says Imran, “It’s true Aamir was unhappy when he heard I insisted on performing my own stunt. He called me over and said, ‘You’ve to be more responsible towards yourself and your family.’ He’s right but I don’t know if I can listen to him in this case.”
Imran refutes the notion that Delhi Belly is a sex comedy. “It’s a caper comedy. But yes, the language is on the stronger side.” Two back-to-back action films, and Imran is now saying goodbye to the genre for a while. “I got no chance to do any stunts in Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na. I made up for that in Kidnap and Luck. Now in Delhi Belly I’ve no action scenes.”

Imran says the stunts always look more real when performed by the actor. “You can always tell the difference between an actor doing it and double doing it. So I’ll think about. But for now I’ve had enough of stunts. I want to take a break and do something lighter. Delhi Belly is just the break I needed.”

I got a shouting afterwards from my mom, girlfriend and Sanjay Dutt. In fact Baba phoned Aamir to complain. That’s how Aamir got to know about it. Having jumped from that high I’ve lost the fear of stunts. My next action film will have to be really big. I grew up being thrilled by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis. And I had decided, if I do those kinds of stunts I’d do them on my own. ”

What’s with all these newbies in Bollywood wanting to jump off highrise buildings? Neil Nitin Mukesh has done it in Freeze. Irrfan too has done it in Kidnap. For Kidnap and Luck I needed a bulkier role. I played a daredevil and had to jump off the 20th floor. I insisted on doing it myself although the body-double was present.

Urmila running bad time waiting for big movie

She was one of the sexy sirens of Bollywood. Apart from her super glam image, she has always been appreciated for her talented performances. But all is in the past for Urmila Matondkar. Where has all the glam and talent disappeared? Apparently, her shift to doing unconventional cinema has reflected badly on her mainstream film career.

Now when she is has no big films in hand the actress is judging television shows. Her film career has reached an all time nadir, and now she has been cast opposite tele actors in her lastest film. In her last release she was paired opposite Aman Verma. And in her latest, Urmila has been signed opposite television actor Ronit Roy in Jagmohan Mundra’s forthcoming film.

After giving films like Tehzeeb, Banaras, Bas Ek Pal, Speed and EMI no one wants to cast Urmila as the main lead. Though her films bombed at the box office she was appreciated for her performance in films like Ek Hasina Thi and Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Mara . But it couldn’t help her fading career.

It is extremely disappointing to see a talented actor like Urmila not getting roles and films of her caliber. But Urmila is known to bounce back, and one hopes that the Rangeela actress will come with a brand new makeover.

Barbara Mori postponed india visit due to mumbai attack

Hollywood actress Barbara Mori is supposed to come to India in early January. But due to the recent terrorist attacks, all the producers of Kites were really worried about the fact whether Barbara would be visiting the country or not. According to sources, Barabara will be still visiting the country only after re-assurance of increase in security.

She was constantly discussing whether it was safe or not to come to India. It was only after Hrithik assured her safety that she was convinced," conclude the sources.Hrithik also happened to be very tensed after he came to know about the attacks and therefore extra security will be provided to all the leading stars of Kites i.e. Hrithik, Kangana Ranaut and Barbara Mori."

"Due to the attacks, initially there was a possibility of postponing the schedule but as the schedule was tight it wasn't possible. When the images of Taj and the Oberoi burning were shown all over the world, Barbara saw them and was very tensed and worried so she kept calling Hrithik Roshan and Susanne.

Movie on Shahrukh Gauri Khan real love story

There is a lot has been made about Shah Rukh Khan and his long standing love affair with his wife Gauri Khan. So why does the actor not make a film about him and Mr. Khan?

I’d like to relate this to my upcoming film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. So no, I do not think I will make a film on my love story. As even if I did, I don’t think Gauri would act in it. She thinks I am not a good enough actor,” said Shah Rukh during an interview to an Indian website last week.

“Thank you for asking me this question. I think I have included parts of my life in many of my films. And now if I film my own love story my wife will leave me. It’s not a great love story. But even though it might be an ordinary love story it seems extraordinary to us.

Would you like to see a film on the love story of Sharukh and Gauri… do you believe others also are interested… after all it is a love story out of place.. one becoming the greatest star in India yet the marriage sustains its magic many years later.

Guru Dutt grest Actor Producer Director Choreographer of his time

Source: Wikipedia
Birth: 9 July, 1925 Bangalore
Death: 10 October 1964 Mumbai
Known: Actor,Director, Producer, Choreographer
Spouse: Geeta Dutt

Personal Life:

Guru Dutt was born to Shivashankar Rao Padukone and Vasanthi Padukone. His parents were Chitrapur Saraswats, originally settled at Panambur, a village in South Kanara district of Karnataka. His father was initially a headmaster, and then a bank employee. His mother Vasanthi, while initially a housewife, later taught in a school, gave private tuition and also wrote short stories and translated Bengali novels into Kannada. Vasanthi was only 16 when Guru Dutt was born.

Guru Dutt was initially named Vasanth Kumar at birth at the suggestion of his mother's elder brother, but after a childhood accident, he was renamed Guru Dutt, which was felt to be a more auspicious name.

Guru Dutt As Choreographer:

While Guru Dutt was hired by Prabhat Film Company as a choreographer, he was soon pressed into service as an actor, and even as an assistant director. At Prabhat, he met Dev Anand and Rehman, who both became stars.

After Prabhat failed in 1947, Dutt moved to Bombay, now Mumbai, where he worked with two leading directors of the time, with Amiya Chakravarty in Girl's School, and with Gyan Mukherjee in the Bombay Talkies film Sangram. Then, Dev Anand offered him a job as a director in his new company, Navketan, after the first movie had flopped. Thus, Guru Dutt's first film, Navketan's Baazi, was released in 1951 . It was a tribute to the Forties' Film Noir Hollywood with the morally ambiguous hero, the transgressing siren, and shadow lighting.

Guru Dutt as Director:

Baazi was an immediate success. Guru Dutt followed it with Jaal and Baaz. Neither film did well at the box office, but they bring together the Guru Dutt team that performed so brilliantly in subsequent films. He discovered, and mentored, Johnny Walker (comedian), V.K. Murthy (cinematography), and Abrar Alvi (writing and directing) and many more.

His 1959 Kaagaz Ke Phool was an intense disappointment. He had invested a great deal of love, money, and energy in this film, which was a self-absorbed tale of a famous director (played by Guru Dutt) who falls in love with an actress (played by Waheeda Rehman, Dutt's real-life love interest).

Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam, a box office flop, was directed by his protege, writer Abrar Alvi, which won him the Filmfare Best Director's award. The film's star Waheeda Rehman denied rumors that the film was ghost-directed by Guru Dutt himself.[6] Guru Dutt also has his influence on his last box office smash hit Chaudhvin Ka Chand.

Some Facts about Guru Dutt:

Guru Dutt was at first mourned as a matinee idol but as the years passed, his films were shown at film festivals throughout India and the rest of the world. He made Satyajit Ray an international favorite. He also has a place in the hearts of many ordinary Indians for his song picturisations and the many vivid characters sketched in his films.
Once is quoted failure of Kaagaz Ke Phool and success of Chaudhvin Ka Chand : "Life mein, yaar, kya hai? Do hi toh cheezen hai – kamyaabi aur failure. There is nothing in between."What is there in life, friend? There are only two things - success and failure. There is nothing in between."

Populer Films by Gurudutts:

Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959), Sailaab (1956), Mr. & Mrs. '55 (1955), Aar Paar (1954), Baaz (1953), Jaal (1952), Baazi (1951), Aar Paar (1955), C.I.D. (1956), Pyaasa (1957), Kaagaz Ke Phool (1959), Chaudhvin Ka Chand (1960), Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam (1962) are the some of the popular movies played by gurudutt.

Shame on Kangana Ranawat disgusting behaviour

"It is important to have a good director to enhance one's performance on screen. The worst thing to happen to me is a bad director," states Kangna Ranaut in the latest issue of a popular Bollywood magazine as she talks about life post Fashion and how she had almost lost control of her life till some time back.

That's not all. While she speaks fondly about her first ever director Anurag Basu (Gangster) and acknowledges that it was his faith in her that turned her into an actor that she is today, she reveals that she shares a love-hate relationship with Mohit Suri (Woh Lamhe, Raaz - The Mystery Continues) and how Madhur Bhandarkar would make her feel special during the filming of Fashion and get her chocolates. However, a shocker comes in the statement she makes about Suneel Darshan, the man who paired her opposite Upen Patel in the musical Shakalaka Boom Boom.

What does Suneel Darshan, the man who has worked with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Sunny Deol, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Bipasha Basu and Bobby Deol, have to say about this accusation? Especially when the statement is being made more than one and a half years after the film has been released.

She says, "Suneel Darshan gave me the worst time of my life during Shakalaka Boom Boom. They didn't even pay me for it. I felt really bad but it's okay now."

He rounds off with, "surely, if she has a conscience, she will regret her disgusting behavior. Else, forget it!"

"Frankly, I can't stoop to her level and she doesn't really deserve a reply," says Suneel Darshan. Isn't he disappointed with such a remark? "See, any retaliation will open up too many controversies and there is no sense washing dirty linen in public. Let bygones be bygones. I too wish to move ahead with hope and a positive outlook towards life", sighs Darshan.

sahid koppor's dog don't eat meat

Source: SantaBanta
Shahid Kapur has been a strict vegetarian for a while now. He and his ex girlfriend Kareena Kapoor had turned vegetarian when they were together.

Now that he's single, footloose and fancy free, he's plenty of time to enforce his vegetarianism on his pet.

Reportedly his pet dog is also being kept away from eating meat. It sounds strange but true. But he never allows his dog to eat meat.

The poor carnivorous animal can't even chew on a bone as that too is forbidden. A source reveals, "Shahid has put his doggie on a veg diet. The poor animal is not allowed to eat any sort of meat!"

Looks like Shahid takes whatever he did during his relationship with Kareena very seriously. We very understand his sentiments. But every dog has its day. Guess, Shahid should realize that too!

Payya is expected to kick start soon and it would be Karthi's third venture after the long-pending Selvaraghavan directed Aayirathil Oruvan.

war eventually ended with the producers finding a replacement for Nayan. Last heard, Trisha lapped up the project for 80 lakhs and signed in the contract papers giving away the required dates to Tirupathy pictures.

I enjoy working with amir Khan: Samran josi

Sharman Josi, who will reunite with 'Rang De Basanti' co-star Aamir Khan in Rajkumar Hirani's upcoming venture 'Three Idiots', says working with the superstar "is purely a treat."

"Working with Aamir all over again is truly a treat. He is a superb actor. We had a great time working in 'Rang De Basanti' and in this film we have kind of taken up from where we left off," Sharman told IANS in an interview.

"We had lots of fun, on and off the sets of 'Three Idiots'. It's kind of a reunion since R. Madhavan who was with us in 'Rang De...' is also a part of the film," he added.

The film, which is loosely based on Chetan Bhagat's bestseller "Five Point Someone", is being produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and stars Kareena Kapoor and Boman Irani also in pivotal roles.

Sarman made his film debut in 1999 with 'Godmother', which had Shabana Azmi in the title role, and received rave reviews for his performance as the protagonist's troubled son. After that he featured in films like 'Lajja', 'Golmaal', 'Dhol' and 'Life In A... Metro' among others. Although the actor has always been part of films with ensemble casts, he says it was not a "conscious decision."

"It was not a conscious decision to only be a part of ensemble cast. Single hero roles were offered to me, but in my mind I didn't find them to be very interesting in terms of the script and my part in the film. So that's the reason why people have not seen me in solo hero films," Sharman said.
"However, I have done one film as a single hero and it will be out soon," he added. Sharman says that small, big, cameo, whatever the part is, he always gives his best shot.

"I give my 100 percent to my work. I give it my focus, my time. Whatever the length of the part I'm playing in a film, I've always given it my best. I can do any role under the sun no matter how wild the imagination of the writer can get. I am willing to take it up and do my best as long as it excites me," he said.

Sarman was in the capital to promote his film "Sorry Bhai" co-starring Sanjay Suri, Chitrangada Singh, Boman Irani and Shabana. "It was a pleasure working with Shabana. I have worked with her in 'Godmother' and now after nine years I got a chance to work with her all over again. Just to be on the sets with her and share the same screen space with her is actually an honour," he said.

Emraan Claim Raaz-The Mystery Continues his best ever

After the musical blockbuster of 2008, 'Janna't, Emraan Haashmi is all set to return this winter with his most awaited and expensive horror flick till date, 'Raaz-The Mystery Continues' (RTMC) which is produced by Vishesh Films and released by SONY BMG. Emran Hashmi, considered to be a lucky charm that attracts great music in all his films, believes that the main attraction of RTMC would be its stunning soundtrack. While all his other films have successively featured outstanding hit songs, Imraan has clearly stated that RTMC is going to out-do all these previous albums. The music is to be in stores on 10th December 2008.

While it is never a surprise to see brilliant music from the Bhatt camp, the buzz is that RTMC features songs that are truly outstanding in terms of compositions, musical arrangement and sheer groove. The soundtrack features 4 talented composers, out of which the majority is very new. Yet, collectively, the album is a brilliant one and promises to create quite a storm amongst music lovers and industry people as well. An extremely happy and confident Imran states, "It's really amazing to hear such exceptional music and I have been really fortunate that all my films have got the grooviest tracks.

SONY BMG has already been successful in creating a craze with Vishesh Films' former venture 'Jannat' and it firmly believes that RTMC will repeat the same success when its music will be released in stores. Apart from the rocking music, this time SONY BMG has also partnered in production of RTMC. So, RTMC comes from two very powerful stables – Vishesh Films and SONY BMG.

Not only does RTMC keep up with this but believe me, it's going to be much bigger than any of the previous ones." A star with an unbelievable mass appeal, Emraan is very sure that his fans are going to be raving about the music of RTMC, which as an album goes beyond all other existing ones from his preceding films.

The film itself is exceptionally well made and it is hitting the screens on 23rd January 2009. Vishesh Films, that has always made a human connection with its viewers, believes that with this flick something different that hasn't been seen so far is in the offing. The film is being termed as a supernatural thriller and is not at all a sequel to RTMC. Instead it deals with the depiction of the 'evil within' with relation to modern times. Its technical aspects with stylizing and special effects have made this film a much awaited one.

Sharuk is most popular indian actror in poland

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is a favourite icon of Polish youth and all his films are lapped up eagerly in Poland. Now, a biography of the Indian actor has been translated in the Polish language and received very well.

Shruk's popularity among Polish youth began with Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham when it was released in January 2005 with Polish subtitles. It was the first megahit from Bollywood that enchanted the Polish people. Since then most of Shah Rukh's films have been superhits in Poland, whether it was Dil Se, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna or the evergreen Main Hoon Na.

Massive publicity has been given to film journalist Anupama Chopra's book The King of Bollywood throughout Poland. Lifesized posters of Shah Rukh Khan with the book title, The King of Bollywood, have been displayed at the underground stations in Warsaw and all important places in big cities. Word of mouth publicity is also adding to the book's sales.

To cash in on Shah Ruk's popularity, the most important newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza, a few months ago started selling Bollywood films along with its weekly edition at throwaway prices to boost sales. "The name of Shah Rukh has become a common home name. The profile of India has gained many notches in the Polish psyche. It is a sheer phenomenon if not anything else," said Piotr Klodkowski, ambassador-designate to India and a wellknown Indologist, while addressing the Warsaw Rotary Club.

"The Bollywood popularity has given new dimensions to Indian culture," added Janusz Krzyzowski, president of the India-Polish Cultural Committee. "When we organise any classical dance recital or musical programme, people feel more attracted and our programmes are more appreciated by the audience."

"To my mind after Kama Sutra it is Bollywood and Shah Rukh which have given tremendous popularity to India over the past several decades," said Klodkowski.

Movie Review: Sorry Bhai

Saturday, December 6, 2008

Source: BollywoodHungama
Director Onir has always defied stereotypes. Recall his first two films -- MY BROTHER NIKHIL and BAS EK PAL. With SORRY BHAI!, Onir takes the road less travelled.

'Come, fall in love... with you brother's bride', says the tagline of the film. Agreed, there must've been real-life instances of a guy falling in love with his bhabhi-to-be, but as a cinematic experience, a theme like this caters to a niche audience. The traditional ones, even with a modern outlook towards life, might not approve of this story in the first place.
As a movie, SORRY BHAI! has some interesting moments and the ensemble star cast pitches in real performances too. But the impression you get is that Onir didn't know how to tie it all up, to conclude the film convincingly.

SORRY BHAI! may be an interesting concept, but it doesn't turn out to be an interesting film in entirety. For it to be a complete film, it needed a tight screenplay, which is sorely missing here.
However, a few sequences have been handled deftly. Note the sequences between Sharman and Chitrangda and the gradual attraction. Even the love making sequence in the store catches you by surprise. Again, recall the sequences between Shabana and Chitrangda. You can feel the tension.

Siddharth [Sharman Joshi], a shy young scientist, travels to Mauritius for his elder brother Harsh's [Sanjay Suri] wedding. Accompanying him is his Ma [Shabana Azmi], a reluctant traveller since she is angry at Harsh for deciding to get married without consulting them. Also travelling is Siddharth's cheery father [Boman Irani].

Harsh, pre-occupied with work, can spend little time with his family and it is left to his fiancee Aaliyah [Chitrangda Singh] to show them around Mauritius before the wedding. However, Ma's anger at Harsh ensures that she takes an instant dislike for Aaliyah and it is Aaliyah and Siddharth who end up spending loads of time together.

This, added to the fact that Aaliyah feels neglected by the career-obsessed Harsh, leads to them being irresistibly drawn to each other. A horrified Siddharth battles this attraction desperately, but Aaliyah has fallen madly in love and pursues him with single-minded determination.

But Onir gets too unconventional this time. Sure, times are changing rapidly, but the fact remains that most of us are extremely orthodox when it comes to relationships. And that's precisely why a film like SORY BHAI! might not find many takers.

The conclusion to the tale is also least convincing. It may seem perfect since the mother [Shabana] makes her younger son [Sharman] swear on her life, but when it comes to matters of the heart, all rules [and relations] take a backseat, nothing else matters actually. The music, like Onir's previous BAS EK PAL, is soothing, but how one wishes it would've been promoted aggressively too. Cinematography is striking.

On the whole, SORRY BHAI! is too bold and startling for the Indian audiences. At the box-office, it caters to a tiny/miniscule audience -- a handful of plexes in a handful of cities. And those numbers would be disheartening as well!

Movie Review: Merabhai not out

Source: ApunKaChoice
The film’s central character Meerabai ( Mandira Bedi ) is a maths teacher whose life revolves around the game of cricket and its icon Anil Kumble. So much so that she prefers fantasies of Kumble to real men in flesh and blood. Obviously it’s a cause for concern for Meera’s close-knit family that has an elder brother ( Mahesh Manjrekar ), a disillusioned ex-cricketer who has come to hate the game.

Meerabai Not Out is a film that causes embarrassment to the people watching it. More than that, it tests your patience with the slow pace of its utterly predictable plot. You know beforehand how the story’s going to wind up. Yet, you sit yawning and watching the proceeding on the screen with the same boredom as you see a five-day match drag to a lackluster draw.

The trouble with ‘Meerabai Not Out’ is that in spite of its persistent attempts to be different, it remains an ordinary, run-of-the-mill film with marginal and underdeveloped characters. The humour ends up looking silly and many situations (like Meera coming late for her engagement because she had to catch a match) appear outright ridiculous to even laugh at, forget believing them.

Romance enters Meera’s life with the coming of a doctor (Eijaz Khan) but soon she finds herself on the crossroad where she has to choose between cricket and love. It eventually boils down to a match between Meera’s brooding brother and her fiancé.

Directed by Chandrakant Kulkarni, ‘Meerabai Not Out’ begins on a promising note but plods as it approaches the interval point. Things gain momentum before the climactic match in which Meera’s fate is to be decided. But by then you are so tired that you want to raise your (index) finger and declare Meerabai – OUT!!!

Mandira Bedi, sans her noodle-strap blouses, brings about the needed exuberance to her cricket-buff character without ever showing a truly histrionic moment in her performance. The supporting cast too offers nothing laudable, including the usually superb Anupam Kher as Meera’s prospective father-in-law. Anil Kumble’s cameo fails to enliven the dull script. He needs a ‘doosra’ attempt to make his mark.

Katrina top, ashwarya seventh sexiest women in asia

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has been adjudged the sexiest Asian woman in the world in 2008 by a UK-based weekly, with last year's winner Bipasha Basu pushed to the second spot.
In the annual round conducted by 'Eastern Eye', a leading British Asian newspaper, Kaif emerged on the top in a shortlist of 10. The judges included Brianna Ragel, editor of Asian Woman Magazine and the former editor of FHM India, Farhad Dadyburjor.

Kaif, who was brought up in London, was ranked one place above last year's winner Bipasha Basu and two ahead of 2006 winner Priyanka Chopra. Kareena Kapoor came third in the list. Former Miss World Aishwarya Rai was at the seventh place.

Hamant Verma, editor of Eastern Eye, said: "Katrina Kaif's natural beauty and easy charm has enabled her stock to rise in Bollywood. This has resulted in a number of lucrative offers, and appearances in films that proved to be box-office hits."

New entrants to the 'sexiest list' included Pakistani actress Mehwish Hayat (nine), Miss India Universe Simran Kaur Mundi (10), former Miss Sri Lanka Jacqueline Fernandez (12) and south Indian actress Asin (22).

Kamal hasan Rajnikant offer condolences to Prabu Deva

Malika Sherawatt to swallowed Irfan in Hissss

Ram Gopal Varma won't admit it. But Irrfan Khan lets it out that Ramu's recently-announced terror film Agyaat was inspired by the special effects Ramu saw on the sets of Jennifer Lynch Hissss.
Chuckles Irrfan, "I'm working in Hissss with two very different and interesting kind of women, Malika Sherawat and Jennifer Lynch. Hissss would've been like any other snake woman story. But the way Jennifer has treated the story has taken the film to another level. The special effects will shock our audiences. I think Ramu is inspired to make his next film (Agyaat) by Jennifer's film. High-time we got special effects guys from abroad to do the needful."

Irrfan Khan can't wait to be devoured by Mallika Sherawat. "She plays a man-eating creature. She swallows men in the film. And I'm just dying to be swallowed her. Watching her devour men is a very very sensuous process. Unfortunately, I don't get eaten by her. I'm the investigative officer trying to find out who's devouring all these human beings."

Irrfan was in Philadelphia shooting for New York and then in Cape Town for Sanjay Gupta's Acid Factory. "I love the US. And I loved working with Kabir Khan. He's a very chilled out guy. Kabir's unit was as relaxed. I felt as relaxed as I do while working in a Mira Nair film abroad."

Irrfan's next release Dil Kabaddi offers him a change of image. "I'm not going to pretend. Dil Kabaddi is a film strictly for adults. And we shouldn't shy away from saying this. It's about dishonesty in man-woman relationships. I call it dishonesty by the standards set by civil society. Sometimes you are not satisfied in one relationship and keep looking for sexual and emotional satisfaction elsewhere. I like playing this promiscuous character. "I play a man who's very transparent about his sexual desires.

Zarina Khan Doesn't looks like katrina kaif

Katrina Kaif appears to be very tolerant of Salman parading Katrina-lookalike Zarine Khan around the party zone of Bollywood. "She is so sweet and I helped her with her make-up during her screen test," she says, "She's a lovely girl and I hope she does very well. Although I do not think she looks like me. But if Salman misses me and wants to work with girls who look like me, that is so sweet."

Zarene Khan appears in Veer alongside Salman, as does Miss UK Liza Lazarus. Salman, however, denies that Zarine looks like Katrina: "Zareene doesn’t resemble Katrina at all. I spotted her at Subhash Ghai’s film school Whistling Woods when she came there for casting. She was taken because she looks the character - the sweet princess she is playing in Veer," he argues. And yet, it's said that Zarine acted as Katrina's body double in Yuvraaj?

As well as Santoshi's movie, she was also working on De Dhana Dhan with Akshay Kumar and Sameera Reddy. The actors on De Dhana Dhan apparently had a meeting and decided to press on with the shoot even though they were afraid as the events unfolded. Sameera Reddy said, "A TV reporter asked me how we could sing and dance when such grim tragedies were happening? I was so upset! Why should we give in to fear and paranoia and stop working? We worked through Thursday to all the days and completed the schedule on time."

Meanwhile, Katrina is working on Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani. Director Rajkumar Santoshi has turned a studio in Mumbai into the island of Goa for the shoot - the movie also stars Ranbir Kapoor. Even during the militant attack on Mumbai, Katrina kept on working such is the discipline of her schedule.

Tv Actor Raja Chaudhary arrested for misbehaving with girl

Thursday, December 4, 2008

Just a day after being granted bail, Runner-up of popular reality show Bigg Boss 2, raja chaudhry today found himself behind the bars yet again for allegedly molesting a 23-year-old girl in his car.Raja was arrested for misbehaving with an eunuch and released on bail.

"On Tuesday, they sat in the restaurant in the evening and discussed about various things," senior police inspector of Santacruz police station Dilip Gaikwad. Since it was late in the evening, Raja told the victim that he would drop her home in his car, the officer said.

The girl, who is an astrologer, had approached him to collect her pending payments when Raja chodhry tried to molest her, police said. He asked the girl to come to a restaurant in Versova in western suburbs when she reminded him about the payments.

"While they were on their way to Girgaon in South Mumbai, Raja who was sitting in the front seat stopped the car and sat next to her in the rear seat," he said. "He then, according to the victim, tried to molest her when they reached near HDFC bank on Link Road," he said.

Neetu chandra mam Bikini Cleavage upskirts is not all about acting

Source: SantaBanta
Neetu Chandra has come up with her career best performance in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! she isn't quite willing to take the compliment in entirety since she feels she was equally competent in Traffic Signal too) and media too has been unanimous in acknowledging her good performance in the film even though she has a relatively lesser role to play. Does she regret that she wasn't seen much in the film?

"Why should I", Nitu shoots back, "The film was called Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! and not 'Oye Sonal Sonal Oye'. I knew my role and how it added on to the film's soul. I am happy that I have justified my presence and good reviews coming my way are a testimony to that."

There have been some accusations though that she is just not being competitive by refusing to put on make up. On the other hand, her contemporaries are busy doing a lot more to look picture perfect in front of the camera.

"Surprising, isn't it, that the same set of media is forgetting that I willingly wore a swimsuit in my very first film Garam Masala", Neetu shoots back, "As an airhostess it was absolutely in sync with my character to wear the right costume on a beach.

I wasn't applying kohl there under my eyes, as I did in Traffic Signal where I had to look like a slum dweller. So why a question around me looking 'simple' in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! ?" She also puts forth a question, "Should I, as a lower middle class girl, have worn a short skirt and accompanied my boyfriend Abhay Deol, a 'superchor', when he was busy stealing from every household in the vicinity? Nahi naa!?"

Those in the know-how of cinema have stated that while refusing to apply makeup for her lower middle class girl look in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! , she has instead been brave enough to make this choice even as stakes were really high for this UTV backed project.

"In any case putting or not putting make up is not a criteria for being a good or bad actor. At the end of the day, you are in the profession mainly because you should know how to act.

Show cleavage, wear short skirts, get into a bikini; it's all good but at least have some good role to accompany that as well", she says while hinting that she isn't averse to such costumes, "Tomorrow, if I get a meaty role to get into an ultra glam persona, I would be game for that as well. But first, get me that script please."

Mandira bedi visits delhi to promote Meerabhai Not Out

Mandira Bedi is in the capital to promote her latest big screen flick Meerabai Not Out. And even though she was here to promote her movie Mandira decided to join CNN IBN's Citizens Against Terror campaign.

Mandira who is a big cricket buff also talks about her new avatar in her latest movie Meerabai Not Out. “It's a movie where I play a huge cricket buff. All she has is cricket in her life. A lot of people have asked me whether there are any similarities between Meera and Mandira, you are going to ask me that next,” says Mandira.

“Hi, this is Madira Bedi speaking for Citizens Against Terror. I think we should all be cautious to warning signals because there were warning signals,” she passes her message.

“Well I haven't spoken to Anil, but the problem I think is with that picture of me, Ejaz and Anil in the bed. But I haven't spoken to him so I don't know can’t say,” says Mandira.

India’s former test captain Anil Kumble is also making his big screen debut with this film and is apparently livid over the new promos of the movie.

Abhishek flying high with success of Dostana

Abishek Bachchan has been talking about his recent release Dostana and is over the moon about its success worldwide.

In Dostana, which has been directed by Tarun Mansukhani, Abhishek plays the role of a pretend-homosexual. When asked about his status as a gay icon, he replies, ““I‘m very happy with that. Why should I be surprised or shocked? I think homosexuals are as human as anyone else. It’s a matter of great pride if I’m their icon.”

Currently deep in the jungles of Cochin, shooting for Mani Ratnam’s next, Abhisek has said that he hasn’t yet had any time to celebrate. “Of course we’ll have a party when we get back. But at the moment, I’m celebrating by doing more quality work,” Abhishek told an Indian journalist.

When asked if the role in Dostana was the toughest he has played in his relevantly short career, Abhishek responded, “It’s unfortunate that these kinds of films aren’t taken seriously. It wasn’t a character I could sleepwalk through. People think we partied hard while shooting Dostana in Miami Wrong. We worked from early morning till night, worked out and crashed out.”

Many Indian newspapers have reported that Abhishek’s father, renowned Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachan, took an instant dislike of his son’s antics in the film. An aghast Abhishek responded to this, saying, “Why should he take offence? Not at all! The film is not about homosexuality. Dostana isn’t Brokeback Mountain. It was just a comedy. My whole family has thoroughly enjoyed it. Who doesn’t enjoy a good laugh? It’s a normal fun film. Aishwarya is very happy that it’s a big hit….my second big hit of the year after Sarkar Raj.”

rahul bose expecting more with Dil kabaddi

Rahul Bose seems to be pretty amazed by the comedy genre and after Pyaar Ke Side Effects and Maan Gaye Mughal-e - azam , will be seen in yet another light hearted comedy Dil Kabaddi which releases on 5th December.

Rahul being a rugby player himself is all for improving the situation of sports through the film medium. “Films need to create awareness about sports. We need to make people aware that sport brings people together. It teaches you how to lose. It strengthens your concentration and body. The stress levels are reduced to a great extent through sports. If we can show these things through films, it will be fantastic!”

Dil Kabaddi is based on the games played by heart. On being asked about the stamina for playing Dil Kabaddi , Rahul said, “The stamina that is required for Dil Kabaddi consists of hypocrisy and insecurity. The bigger the hypocrite, the better you can play Dil Kabaddi and the more insecure you are the more dils you would want to play Kabaddi with.”

Kaveri Jha gears up to be next bollywood girls

Pretty Kaveri Jha has already made her Bollywood debut - opposite Shiney Ahuja in the quickly forgotten Hijack - so it's not been a dream debut for her. However, she is destined to return and is currently developing her potential down south in a string of movies, including Ooha Chitram, Naa Girl Friend Baaga Rich and Bum Bum Bole.

Naa Girl Friend stars Sivaji and Bum Bum Bole is a remake of the Iranian film Children of Heaven and also features Rituparna Sengupta, so they should both prove interesting. Kaveri is one of the Flynn Remedios stable of performers and he promises some big banner Bollywood headlines for Kaveri in the near future.

I was walking around some fields when a farm supervisor approached me and rebuked me in Tamil. I didn't understand much but it was quite clear that he was scolding me for not working and rambling around. It took him a full five minutes to realize that I was an actress and not a local!!"

Whilst filming in the South, Kaveri was mistaken for a farm hand. "Around mid-November, I was shooting in the fields of Ooty for a Tamil movie," she says, "My costumes and the outfit I was wearing were so natural and looked real, like any of the women working in the fields nearby. During a break in the shoot, I went for a walk to breathe some fresh air.

Esha Koppiker insult Shiney Ahuja

Much has been written and discussed about how Shiney Ahuja ended up pissing out his industry senior like Preity Zinta on the sets of Jahnu Barua's Har Pall and how she stopped talking to him on the film's sets. Recently in an interview too she made a dig at Shiney stating that she would never call him her friend or invite him for dinner. But now news is trickling out that even Isha Koppikar, who also stars in Har Pall, had taken an aversion to Shiney Ahuja.

As soon as she entered, Shiney went up to her and taunted at her saying she has grown very fat in these last few weeks and immediately started laughing. Not the one to take down such an insult lying down, Eesha hit back at Shiney by telling him that he has turned more uglier than before! Hearing this all those standing around started laughing and Shiney had to literally hide his face at the unexpected hit back by Eesha."

A unit member narrated, "A cold war of sorts was already happening between Shiney Ahuja and Preity Zinta and then Eesha too joined the 'I hate Shiney' bandwagon. Shiney and Eesha would often be seen arguing with each other on the sets. They even resorted to taunting each other in front of the unit members. One day Eesha came on sets after a gap of few weeks.

Shiney is rapidly rising the unpopularity charts not just amongst his co-starlets but amongst filmmakers as well with his attitude problem.

Only sex and Shah Rukh sell in Bollywood : Neha Dhupia

Actress Neha Dhupia, who shot into limelight with her infamous quote "Only sex and Shah Rukh sell in Bollywood," does not regret doing sleazy flicks like Julie.

Neha will be seen in Singh is Kinng releasing on August 8. "I am the only girl in the gang of Punjab operating in Australia. When the story was narrated to me, I was excited. The film is funny but the characters are not funny people," she added.

"I do not believe in looking back and talk about what has happened. I want to look ahead where I have got my hands full with good films. I do not regret doing Julie. But, looking back is no solution. I can only learn from the past," Neha told PTI here on Friday.

Neha said in Maharathi she plays a role with grey shades. The other actors in the movie are Naseeruddin Shah, Boman Irani and Paresh Rawal. she added iliked the script very much and was not new to comedy having done films like Chup Chupke and Kya Kool Hai Hum.
Neha said her performances in films like Ek Chalis ki local and Mithya did not go unnoticed. "Even though they did not do well at the box office, the films and her performance were noticed and it was quite heartening," she said.

Regarding Singh is Kinng, Neha said her character dreams of being a Bollywood actress. "All her dialogues are full of film titles. Her dreams are not fulfilled, but she continues to do what she wants," Neha said.

"Besides, there are two films with Percept Picture Company and Saurabh Shukla's untitled film with Vinay Pathak. "I have my hands full," she said.

I feel like home in telgu and bangali film industry : Tabbu

Even as Tabu awaits the release of Mira Nair’s The Namesake — which will have a global release in March, first in the US and then in India — and Cheeni Kum, where she is paired with Amitabh Bachchan, the actor says that when it comes to regional cinema it is the Telugu and Bengali film industry that appeal to her.

“The Telugu and Bengali film industry have given me so many friends that now I feel at home,” says Tabu, who was in the city for a preview of The Namesake on Tuesday evening.

“It was a tense moment for me just after the screening was over. After all, when it’s a film from a particular region, the verdict of the people of that place matters most,” says the actor who plays Ashima Ganguli, a traditional Bengali girl who migrates to New York after marriage.

Though The Namesake is not a Bengali film, Tabu does play a Bengali in it. Which is why our words “Your Bengali accent was perfect” brings a smile to her face.

Though she hadn’t read the book earlier, Nair made her comfortable on the sets through extensive reading sessions. “I was nervous because we were briefed that the character would have to go as close as possible to what Jhumpa described,” says Tabu.

The two-time National Award-winning actor admits that playing Ashima was not easy as she got only two weeks to prepare. “I accepted the role because I admire Mira and her work and I was dead sure that whatever she was going to come up with would be brilliant,” says Tabu.

kangna Ranaut want to look more sexy

Source: Apun ka Choice
The thin girl who entered Bollywood with a tomboyish role in Gangster and followed it up with convincing performances as the proverbial ‘girl interrupted’, is now turning sexy. Her lanky body frame and conspicuous lack of curves in it has never really made Kangana an object of men’s fantasy. But now, all that may change.

And unlike other Bollywood actresses who have happily gone under knife to get breast implants, Kangana is not in favour of cosmetic surgery for such anatomical enhancement.

The actress has increased her consumption of milk, eggs, and high protein diet. She is also doing exercises to increase her muscle mass.

“I believe in looking sexy in the natural way,” says the actress, who is presently following a fitness regimen and doing exercises to get curvy. The “natural way”, that is.

For Kangana is single-mindedly focused to get curvy at all the right places in her body. Though the svelte belle may not have the formidable bust of the likes of Bipasha Basu or Mallika Sherawat , Kangana is pretty happy with whatever roundedness she has naturally been endowed with.

Kangana has already shot for Vishesh Films’ Raaz - The Mystery Continues and she is soon set to shoot for another schedule of Kites in which we may see her in her new curvy makeover.

M F hussain likely to paint Katrina

Wednesday, December 3, 2008

M F Hussain has loved Subhash Ghai’s film Yuvvraaj so much that he has offered to make a painting on the movie.

A statement released by the film's producers quotes Hussain as saying: “Yuvraaj is the kind of movie we get to see once in many years…I wonder on what basis are people criticizing the movie. I feel it is a beautifully made film with extremely melodious music and some brilliant performances."

Most likely, like Hussain’s previous muses Madhuri Dixit , Tabu and Amrita Rao , the painter will come up with a portrait of Yuvvraaj’s leading lady Katrina Kaif who looked enchantingly beautiful playing the cello in the movie. So smitten is Hussain by Ghai’s movie that he has seen it twice and can’t stop praising it.

In fact, rumours are going around that Hussain plans to paint more than one painting. He plans a painting of Katrina and a separate painting of the three estranged brothers, played by Salman Khan , Zayed Khan and Anil Kapoor in the film.

The movie’s director Subhash Ghai is flattered by Hussain’s praises but he feels the best compliment for his movie is Hussain’s offer to make a painting on it. The movie, however, has been panned by critics and has had just an average run at the box-office.

Soha is highly excited of playing imran's wife

Source: Rediff News
Soha Ali Khan is upping her game. Let's start with her looks first, which has undergone a dramatic change post her sexy photoshoot for Maxim magazine.

Now, the actress is experimenting with her roles as well. After the intense role in Mumbai Meri Jaan, the pretty kid sister of Saif Ali Khan will be seen in a light-hearted movie about relationships aptly titled Dil Kabaddi.

Directed by debutant Anil Sharma, the film also stars Rahul Bose, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Payal Rohatgi and Rahul Khanna. Nithya Ramani got Soha talking about the film and how it feels to play Irrfan Khan's wife. Excerpts:

What is Dil Kabaddi about?

It is a comedy about the games we play when we are in love, especially relationships like marriage. There are two couples in the film -- Konkana Sen Sharma-Rahul Bose, and Irrfan Khan-myself.

I am very excited to play Irrfan's wife because I'm a huge fan. Though I got an opportunity to work with him in Mumbai Meri Jaan, I never actually got share screen space with him.

Doesn't it seem like an odd pairing?
Yes. He is like a 100 years old and I am 12. In the film, he leaves me for someone younger.

Shyam Benegal will be back soon with another comedy flick

After over four decades of filmmaking 73-year-old director Shyam Benegal has found a new inspiration and that's comedy. The success of Welcome to Sajjanpur is now behind him and the veteran filmmaker is now all set to tickle the audience's funny bone once again.

“After a very long time I had a film that was a popular success. Everybody seems to have liked it. Everywhere, from multiplexes to c-class cities to town,” says filmmaker Shyam Benegal.

Shyam Benegal’s films have always catered to a niche audience but finally after the success of Welcome to Sajjanpur he has been able to meet with the commercial success. And the filmmaker who has rarely dabbled in comedy now plans to entertain the masses with another light humorous venture.

“It is a comedy, it is also a satire. It is a little more political than what my last film was and I hope it will be very funny. The main part is of Boman Irani. He is a wonderful actor and there are many other people as we have a large cast but I cannot name them as no one is confirmed yet,” says Shyam.

So, after numerous thought provoking and serious films which earned him a name in the new wave phase of Indian parallel cinema, it looks like Shyam Benegal has found that nothing beats the sweet smell of success that comes with popular cinema.

Katria is jealous with salman's new girl Zarine

Now there has been a lot of talk about how Salman Khan is busy promoting Zarine, the heroine of Veer and the look alike of his girlfriend Katrina Kaif these days. She's been his arm candy at public places.

She's simply joked about it, "She is so sweet and I helped her with her make-up during her screen test. She is a lovely girl and I hope she does very well. Although I do not think she looks like me. But if Salman misses me and wants to work with girls who look like me, that is so sweet."

Many are surprised and have even wondered if Zarine plans to replace Kat in Sallu's life. Strangely Katrina herself doesn't seem to mind this at all.

This sounds more like a weird thought. Not every girl would like her man to party with someone else just because she's a look-alike or because he misses her. Or maybe everything is easy forKatrina because she's so much in love at all!

Priyanka's secretary denies proposing or abusing her

Priyanka Chopra's infamous secretary Prakash Jaju who was arrested for threatening her and sending her obscene messages is out on on bail now. After being bailed out he has been sending mails to his media friends defending himself.

"Maine uska namak khaya hai, main uske baare main galat kaise sochunga" Although as per settlement letter we both had to withdraw all police complaints and court cases filed against each other, i did that sincerely in one month but due to her busy schedule she couldn't withdraw the case filed by her against me in Andheri court, its when the Magistrate gave last warning to me that i started sending sms to Priyanka reminding her that its now ten months that she has not fulfilled her commitments and I may get into serious problem.

Here is what he has been writing to clear his image and come out clean – I have finally been released on bail but i still wonder why did it all happen? Ms. Priyanka cleared all my dues on 23rd Sept. 2007 after that there was no enemity between us.

Someone is seriously trying to ruin my image, it was his mischief to call Priyanka and threaten Priyanka to marry him (me) and to send her leud smses, i know there are very many international sites like 'fakemailz.com' thru which it can be done. It can even be done through mobile exchanges, I don't deny that I did not send her SMSs, I am definitely, requesting her to withdraw Andheri Court Case and at the same time advising her against signing bad films. Thats it nothing more than that.

I am married to a very beautiful Kashmiri girl, my elder son is 27 yr old and is MBA and younger one is 24 and is CA. I am searching brides for my sons and not for me. I have dealt with most of the beautiful actresses of this industry including Hemaji, Sreedeviji, Jaya Pradaji, Madhuriji, Manishaji and from the newer lot Katrina, Celina, Koena, Isha etc etc etc and not a single girl of this industry can say that I have misbehaved with her.

Neha dhupia to play wife of Naseerdudin Shah in

Monday, December 1, 2008

Having seen for a number of years the respect with which the film industry looks upon actors like Naseerdudin Shah, Om Puri etc. and the immense talent for which these stalwarts are famous for the apprehension of a new actor having a scene to act with these stalwarts can be very well assumed.

Neha Dhupia has got a very good role with enough substance to showcase her skills in the film 'Maharathi' in which she portrays the role of the young wife of a failed film producer played by Mr.Shah. While shooting she had to bear the pressure of her nervous mind while giving life to an intense scene with the veteran actor.

In the particular scene Neha had to scream and rant at Naseeruddin Shah. Neha found it very difficult to do it in front of Mr. Shah but managed to carry it off exactly as the director wanted her to do. The actress says "I have immense respect for Naseerji and screaming at him turned out to be very tedious.

On the other hand the moment the director said cut, Naseer became the usual jolly and relaxed person that he is known as while Neha took time and struggled to come out of the hangover.

Jiah Khan desire to travel in space

Jiah says, “Yes there was a time when I was seriously thinking of being an astronaut and explore the universe. And here I am! A star.” I am studying the subjects because I want to know more about the universe and history of the world,” she says.

Dil Kabaddi player Irfan speak against mumbai terror

Irrfan Khan's Dil Kabaddi releases this week but he's "angry and cynical" about what's been happening in the last few days. Reluctant to talk, the actor later agrees and says, "The basic ground rule for any such incidents should be accountability and transparency."
The actor feels that though Home Minister Shivraj Patil has resigned because of the attacks, it's not enough. He says, "It doesn't matter. Those accountable have to pay through their noses till the rest of their lives. We have to understand that we have been surviving on British laws for more than 200 years and are these laws really helping us or should they need to be changed? Is having a democracy paying us or do we need to change everything from the basic system to the political structure?"

He adds, "There have been so many situations in the past, so many lives lost but who has been held responsible or punished? It's not just the responsibility of the government. Every department who knew about what was happening should be held accountable and punished! Jo nuksaan hua hai woh bharna padega. And I am not talking about the government paying that will be covered by the insurance companies."

Irrfan adds, "The common man is dead. Yeh jo log Mumbaikars spirit bolte hai it makes me disgusted! People have no choice but to keep working. Yeh logon ki majboori hai, unko kaam karna hai padta hai. We are a dead society."

Irrfan's also upset that we borrow everything from the USA. He says, "Are we intellectually so bankrupt that we need to do that? The politicians are so bankrupt that they have to woo us with religion. We should take lessons from China and learn how to function and protect ourselves."

Irrfan is also all for police reforms. "That's the only way to eradicate corruption. We have to pay them good salaries and improve the quality of their working conditions. What we give them is pathetic. We are still following the British Raj."

Big B Face criticism for gun under pillow blog

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, who on his blog on Wednesday night wrote that he was sleeping with a gun under his pillow, has been getting negative press in the media because of this.

Many of Big B’s blog readers also taunted the legend about this. "It is a pity that the ‘intellectual media’ portrays the incident of the gun under my pillow as one of ridicule and mirth," Bachchan wrote.

The Indian media is not happy with Big B for promoting guns and for stating that he had loss complete faith in the system. To this, Amitabh has responded, saying, “"The act of pulling out my revolver is a symbolic metaphor, a figure of speech, to demonstrate my complete loss of faith in the system and in the governance, in providing me, a citizen of India, with my rightful sense of security."

This was Big B’s initial blog entry on Thursday night: “Last night, as the events of the terror attack unfolded in front of me I did something for the first time and one that I hoped never ever to be in a situation to do. Before retiring for the night, I pulled out my licensed .32 revolver, loaded it and put it under my pillow. For a very disturbed sleep."

Hitting out at his critics, the actor said "I keep my security according to my own assessment of my vulnerability. When you will wear my shoes, and I do hope that you do one day, you shall also be subjected to the kind of vulnerability that I and many others like me face each day. Perhaps then you would be better placed to appreciate the hollowness of your accusation," he said.

Amir khan is perfect for The Bikini Murders

Well known and reputed author, Farrukh Dhondy's latest paperback, a crime thriller, The Bikini Murders, said to be loosely based on the life of one of the most talked about criminal alive, Charles Shobraj, has become an international bestseller.

Farrukh says that he had not written the novel with a preconceived notion of it being turned into a film, but he says that he is getting calls from many filmmakers who have shown interest in his novel. So, he is quite positive that if things work out The Bikini Murders might even be made into a film.

When queried about who should play the main lead, that of its protagonist, Johnson That, Farrukh Dhondy feels Aamir Khan, the perfectionist actor would be perfect for the role of a serial killer! Another actor who Farrukh seemed impressed with was Saif Ali Khan and he said that even Saif would do a good job as a serial killer. He also added that if the film were to be made in English, the only Hollywood actor who can do justice to the character is Johnny Depp.

Interesting thoughts indeed. We are sure that Aamir Khan would be the perfect choice for the role of a Bikini Murderer and are hoping that the thrilling novel would indeed be made into a film. Any interested filmmaker listening?

Tragedy with Aashish Chaudhary in mumbai attack

Our thoughts and sincere condolences go out to everyone who has lost a loved one in the shocking and tragic events that have unfolded in Mumbai over the last few days.

His sister Monica Chhabria and her husband had arrived at the Tiffin Restaurant at the Trident-Oberoi for dinner before being caught up in the horror of the evening. It is believed they were killed when the restaurant was randomly sprayed with bullets.

Whilst the despair shown in the television images of Aashish Chaudhary was repeated throughout the city and elsewhere hundreds of times over, it somehow seems more personal as he is known to us, albeit remotely, through his performances in movies such as Qayamat, Girlfriend and most recently EMI.

The causes of this tragedy run deep and varied and now is not the time to discuss them or to jump to irrational, thoughtless or unprincipled conclusions. Now is simply the time to recognise and share in the grief of those that have suffered.

Aashish maintained a vigil throughout the subsequent events, knowing that his sister was inside. As the bodies were later removed from the restaurant, he had to endure the duty of identifying his sister and brother-in-law.

Divyanka Tripathi becomes "dulhan" of Sharad Malhotra

According to Sharad its all false and that he had gone to Kolkata his hometown just for a day during the strike and then he went to Punjab to meet his cousins. All of them then went to Kashmir and Divyanka was not with them.

Sharad Malhotra who plays the character of Amar in the serial Banoo Main Teri Dulhan was rumoured to get married to this co actor Divyanka Tripathi.

Rumours were that Sharad and Divyanka had gone to Vaishno Devi and had tied he knot in the presence of selected friends and family members. Both of them refused the rumour and said that they were both spending there holidays with their respective families. While Sharad happened to be in Kashmir with his cousins Divyanka was holidaying in her hometown Bhopal.

The moment he came back from his trip he started receiving calls from people who were congratulating him about his marriage. This left him surprised. He happened to ask each caller that he would like to know his wife's name too and said that he will never get married in this way and whenever he plans to get married its going to be good publicity.

He said that when people in Mumbai were all busy with the rumours of his marriage he was having a great time with his family in Kashmir. He was all praises about Kashmir as it was his first time that he had seen Kashmir and all this time he had only heard about the beauty of the place but after seeing it he realised that its like heaven on Earth.

The atmosphere there is mind blowing. He found it a great experience and a breakthrough from his daily schedule, but it seems his mom was upset that he just spent a day with her before going to Kashmir.
