Oye Lucky.... movie Review : Wortch watching comedy movie

Cast : Abhay Deol, Paresh Rawal, Neetu Chandra, Manu Rishi
Director: Dibakar Banerjee
Producer: Ronnie Screwvala
Music : Sneha Khanwalkar
Writer : Urmi Juvekar , Dibakar Banerjee

The Movie : Oye Lucky ... works perfectly as a simple story of a young boy (Abhay Deol) who is driven to crime not because he is hungry, poor, starving.... Instead, he drives off with a Merc, steals a music system, walks off with a laptop, unplugs a TV from an upmarket house, all with impunity, only because he wants the good life and believes everyone has a right to fine living. Dig deeper and you'll find there's a disturbed childhood behind his moral ambivalence. Lucky's dad (Paresh Rawal) had a passion for beating him up and denying him any and everything, even as he brought a shrewish `auntyji' in the house to replace his mummyji.

Nothing wrong with that, since almost all of Bollywood's memorable heroes have been anti-heroes. But sadda Lucky is truly Lucky; he doesn't have to get into the reformation babble at the end nor pay for his crimes. But then, cinema isn't into the business of morality, is it?

The film traces Lucky's trapeze into the life of crime from his teenage days, when he viewed the high life of the quintessential South Delhiite, from behind frosty glass panes. He asked his dad for a scooter and when he was refused, he simply drove off with a motorbike from a garage to take his girl friend pillion riding! And before you can say chor chor , an adult Lucky is well-entrenched in the business of stealing, with wheeler dealer Gogi bhai (Paresh Rawal, again). Soon, he's buying toasters for his girlfriend's mom, refurnishing her house and starting a restaurant with a vet-turned-conman (Rawal, in his third act) and his scheming wife (Archana Puran Singh). Where are the cops, did you say?
The highlight of the film are its performances, its elegant humour and its authentic backdrop. Obviously, Dibakar knows Delhi, complete with its underbelly and recreates the class divide with great artistry. While Paresh Rawal is always a treat to watch, Abhay Deol proves once again he's the Deol with a Difference. Watch him conduct his heists with a gentlemanly grace and you'll understand why he's becoming a permanent fixture in the current new wave cinema.

Well, around, ambling, rambling in this chuckle-a-minute comedy that has ostensibly been `inspired' by the exploits of Superchor Bunty, recently arrested by the Delhi Police with his strange loot which included 200 shirts.

Rakhi sawant to direct rajesh khanna in B grade movie

Veteran actor Rajesh Khanna will be seen doing lovemaking scenes with a young actress in an upcoming B-grade flick. The movie, titled Wafaa , has the sexagenarian actor playing a millionaire who gets married to a sex-starved airhostess. The girl, however, marries him not for love but for his money. Soon she is sleeping around with another man of her age. The role is played by Pakistani siren Saara Khan.

The movie, by the way, is directed by Rakesh Sawant, Rakhi Sawant ’s brother, who has in the past made skin flicks like Hot Money . Even the Censor board has cleared ‘Wafaa’ with an 'A' certificate.

Though other senior actors might squirm at the thought of romancing a girl that’s just 20 years old, Rajesh Khanna had no such compunction.Meanwhile, Khanna is taking more and more acting assignments. He is learnt to have signed as many as eight movies.

According to him, the lovemaking scenes with the young actress are justified because they are demanded by the film’s script. Khanna says ‘Wafaa’ is not a sex flick but a “mature love story with strange twists”.

No conflict between aishwarya and bhansali

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has fulfilled another one of her dreams. She has patched up with her 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' and 'Devdas' director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Well, that seems quite a correct analysis considering the fact that even though her films with others like 'Dhoom 2' and 'Guru' have done well; she hasn't really walked away with all the accolades.

The inside buzz is that she's been trying that for a long time. Quite understandably so! After all, many have felt and said that he's one director who brings out the best in her.

The icing on the cake is that the venture will also be on a grand scale like 'Devdas'. Moreover in the movie she's opposite Hrithik Roshan with whom her on screen chemistry simply rocks.

Not surprisingly Ash on her part is quite grateful to the director who has given her two of the biggest films of her career. he doesn't really care about the fiasco that 'Saawariya' was. If all goes well, the film will go on floors by the middle of next year

Bhansali has finally got over the sorrow he felt after his poetry in motion-'Saawariya' flopped. That movie was slammed by audiences and critics alike.

The buzz is that the director was quite angry at the actor for making fun of 'Saawariya' at a film award function and calling it a 'blue' film. The news is that he's sworn never to work with SRK again.

She managed to take some time off from the jungles of Kochi where she is currently shooting for Mani Ratnam's biggie 'Raavan'. This is one actress who really knows how to balance her personal and professional life!

Shilpa Shetty's Boyfriend buys building in mumbai Juhu

Shilpa Shetty's boyfriend Raj Kundra has bought the ground floor and first floor flats in Fortune 10, a building along Juhu beach at around Rs 24 crores. The building, close to the ISKCON temple, is one of the most expensive areas in Mumbai.

Interestingly, Akshay Kumar and wife Twinkle Khanna had bought the ground floor and first floor flats in the sea-facing Prime Beach apartments off Gandhigram Road in Juhu (barely 100m away from Shilpa and Raj's new place).
Sangeet Kumar, A real estate broker from Juhu, confirmed that the deal had taken place. He also claims that this property was eyed by many. "This is an exclusive piece of land; nowhere in Juhu is such a huge property with sea view available. This deal also indicates that people do pay a good amount for their dream home," added Kumar.

The building named Fortune 10 is situated in the prime locality of Juhu and is sea-facing. Raj bought the ground floor and the first floor of the building. According to the broker, Raj bought the space around a month back and is currently reconstructing the structure. Raj and Shilpa have been looking for a good place. This one was perfect for them, especially now that Raj wants to shift base to Mumbai."

Sources tell us that Hrithik Roshan's wife Sussanne (she designed Priyanka Chopra's new flat in Versova) is designing Raj and Shilpa's apartments with Shilpa looking into the minutest of details. "Shilpa is taking personal interest and care as this bungalow is very special for her. The interior designing will take a couple of months after which Raj will shift in."

Akshay and Deepika togather again with sajid khan

Source: Movie Talkies
Sajid Khan is ready to begin work on his next movie. After the stupendous success of Heyy Baby, the director now intends to begin his second film. No surprises for guessing that it will feature his favourites, Akshay Kumar and Ritesh Deshmukh. However for Akshay's heroine, he has chosen Deepika Padukone.

It is supposed to be inspired by The Heartbreak Kid, which starred Ben Stiller. The story is about a man who marries a girl after his girlfriend ditches him and gets married. But on his honeymoon he realizes that he has made a mistake and falls in love with another girl.

Akshay and Deepika have already worked in Chandni Chowk to China. This should be their second film together. As for the film's story, like before, Sajid has full intentions of taking off from another Hollywood blockbuster. The first time he decided to get inspired by Three Men And A Baby. Of course, his film took off on its own tangent after the initial similarities. And he intends to apply the same method to his second venture as well.

According to sources, Akshay will naturally be playing Stiller's role, while Jiah Khan will be playing his wife. Deepika will play the girl that he ultimately falls in love with. But Sajid being Sajid, has denied that his film has been inspired by a Hollywood film, insisting all the time that it is original, just like Heyy Baby was.

Well, knowing Sajid, we are sure that his movie will be about a lot more than the original. He will definitely take off, like he did the first time. Except for the premise, it may not resemble The Heartbreak Kid at all.

Bollywood suspends work, No movies in theaters

The Maharashtra government on Thursday ordered cinema managements to suspend screening of films under further orders as the film industry ground to a halt following the terror strike in the city that has left at least 101 people dead.

"We have decided to close the industry for a day as a mark of tribute to those innocent people who died due to indiscriminate firings by the terrorists and to the police officers and constables who fell to their bullets during the shootout. We condemn the heinous act," a joint statement issued by all the associations of the film industry said.

The Maharashtra government has issued an order directing managements of both single screen theatres and multiplexes to suspend the screening of movies until further orders as a security measure.
The most audacious terror strike in the city began on Wednesday night, when militants attacked high profile landmarks in the city, including the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel, Oberoi Trident Hotel, the Metro Theatre and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station
