Isha koppiker disappointed with B grade movie

Eesha came into limelight with the item number 'Khallas' in Ram Gopal Varma's Company. Later she went on to act in Varma's Darna Mana Hai and Darling but doesn't consider him as her mentor.

Eesha Koppikhar has lashed out at her manager for misleading her and blames him for having signed up for an insignificant role in 36 China Town and B-grade films like Haseena.
"I trust people very easily and I trusted my manager, Babubhai Thiba, too, but he misled me on several occasions," Eesha, who was seen in recently released family drama Ek Vivaah... Aisa Bhi, said.

Eesha was also not happy with her small role in Abbas Mustan's 36 China Town. "It was again Babubhai who made me sign this film in an insignificant role," she said. When contacted, Babubhai refused to comment on her allegations.

"Haseena is a B Grade film, which I learnt only after signing it. Babubhai misled me by not letting me know about the actual status of the film." Haseena, which also starred Raj Babbar, Preeti Jhangiani, Tara Sharma and Kiran Janjani, was released in February 2007 and was a box-office dud.

"He did not give me anything more than I deserved. 'Khallas' was a hit, but he did not launch me in a film," said Eesha, who is also doing Varma's Shabri. In Shabri, she plays the lead role of a slum girl who later turns into a gangster.

"For Shabri, it was not Varma who trusted me, but the director Lalit Marathe - he showed confidence in me. Varma had his reservations on casting me for a slum girl's role. Varma confessed to me that he thought I was too glamorous for the role," the actress said.

Isha koppiker disapponted with B grade movie
Eesha thinks it is Sooraj Barjatya who took a bold step by casting her in Ek Vivaah... Aisa Bhi. In the film, she plays a simple middle-class girl, much in contrast to her glamorous image.

"I'm really thankful to Sooraj-ji for trusting me for his film. He went against the norm by giving me the role. Whatever I will do now, I will credit Sooraj-ji for that," she said.

As far as "Ek Vivaah..." not doing well at the box office, Eesha said: "I don't know about the figures, but I would like to say I'm very proud of whatever I have done in the film."

It was embarrassing to slap Anil Kapoor : Zayed Khan

When Bollywood actor Zayed Khan had to slap Anil Kapoor for a scene in Subhash Ghai's "Yuvvraaj", he felt insulted but carried off the act well, realising that it is all a part and parcel of his job.

"Actors do things ordinary people are not allowed to do sometimes. It's the nature of the job," he added. In "Yuvvraaj", which is about sibling rivalry, Zayed has played the role of a materialistic man, who is driven by excess money and power. Despite the presence of industry bigwigs like Anil, Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, Zayed said his presence will be felt in the film.

"I never imagined I would slap Anil Kapoor. For me, Anil is like an elder brother and is very experienced. On a personal level, I felt insulted for having slapped him. But that's what acting is all about," Zayed told IANS in an interview.

"Your presence must be felt by your performance, by how good you make it and how confident you are of yourself. I never felt their presence in the film was threatening because my biggest asset on sets is that I consider myself a student.

"When a director of calibre like Subhash Ghai asked me politely 'Zayed, I want you to do this role', I think it says something about my nature towards my job and of course I want the film to do so well that it becomes a milestone," he said

"While shooting for 'Yuvvraaj', I was arguing with Subhashji over one or two things and then he came up, discussed the scene and explained it to me. When I saw the outcome on the monitor, I thanked him for making me love acting all over again," said Zayed.

"Whenever I am working with seniors, I give them their space but once I am in my zone, I forget who is senior, junior, big, small, and I just come in to my own workspace," he said.

He explained: "I am a physical actor. I have the ability to jump on a horse, scuba dive, jump from a mountain. I can do all of that, considering the kind of sporty guy I am. But I did forget the essence of acting between all this. As an action hero, I feel one cannot really portray the full potential."

Salman Present but katrina missing at Yuvvraaj special preview

At Salman Khan's Yuvvraaj trial on Thursday night, Salman's Veer heroine Zarine Khan was by his side, while girlfriend and leading lady Katrina Kaif was missing. According to a source, "Salman had an exclusive trial for close family and friends at Globus on Thursday night.

The attendees included Arbaaz and Malaika Arora Khan, Arpita Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Tulip Joshi, Bhushan Kumar and wife Divya, Rocky S, Anil Sharma, Sneha Ullal, Sajid Nadiadwala, Sophie Choudry, Manish Goswami and his wife and Adnan Sami but the surprise guest was Zarine Khan."

The source adds, "Salman introduced Zarine to everyone present, but he also kept asking them if she looked like Katrina. The two seemed very comfortable with each other.

According to the source, "Katrina skipped because she is upset about her brief role in Yuvvraaj. Though Subhash Ghai had taken three months of her dates and never utilised them fully.

After the trial, Salman and some of his friends including Subhash Ghai went over to his Bandra apartment for dinner but Katrina didn't join them. She went home to sleep it off after her shoot."

She was shooting at Yash Raj though when asked about her absence Subhash Ghai told the media that she was resting at home."

Amir Khan delay wife's Dhobi Ghat due to busy schedule

Aamir Khan sure is a devoted husband. Despite being very busy with the innovative promotion and post production of his upcoming action flick Ghajini, he has time for his wife's project Dhobi Ghaat, which went on the floors early this month in Mumbai.
As everyone knows, Dhobi Ghaat is Kiran Rao's debut directorial venture. According to industry sources, Aamir Khan is taking active interest in the project and was present on the sets to oversee that the initial shooting schedule goes smoothly.

However, the first few schedules of the film were postponed. Reason? If our sources are to be believed, Aamir Khan, the perfectionist, was not satisfied with the preparatory work of the technicians, who, he felt needed more time to get the things and their work in right order. So, he cancelled the shoot and ordered pack up and gave the techies fifteen days to prepare and then report back for the shooting.

So with Aamir showing interest, we certainly have another good project in the form of Dhobi Ghaat coming up. And the movie is getting more exciting, what with the news in that Pratiek Babbar, the promising actor son of the great Smita Patil and Raj Babbar has been roped in to play an important role in the film.

Abhay Deol to play thief in next movie Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!

Source: SantaBanta
Abhay Deol, who plays a quirky thief in his next release Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!, seems to have completely got into character for his role in the film.

While shooting, Abhay picked up several tricks of the trade employed by thieves to outsmart the police. And even after it was pack up time, Abhay decided to have some fun and practice at the expense of his near and dear ones.

One such instance took place when Abhay was enjoying a family lunch with cousin Bobby Deol. Abhay slowly flicked Bobby's wallet without him having the slightest possible clue.

After a nice meal, when Bobby put his hands into his pocket to take out his wallet, he got the shock of his life and found his wallet missing. Needless to say, Bobby started to panic, as the wallet had not just cash but several of his debit and credit cards

It was then that Abhay (with his mischievous smile) decided to spill the beans and told Bobby bhaiya that his wallet was safe and sound with him.

I can manage to do petty stealing without any issues. What I did with Bobby was just a harmless exercise. The idea was not to hurt anybody. I was just checking if I could manage to do it and yes now I surely know that I can."

Ever since then, Abhay's close friends and relatives have been teasing the actor about an alternate career option. When quizzed about this incident, Abhay laughs and says, "Yaar... I am serious about my alternate career. I have become good at haath ki safai.

Rab ne bana de jodi music is inspired From Adnan Album Tera Chehra

Source: Radio Sargam
Things are going from bad to worse for Yash Raj Films and their imminent release, biggie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. After the critical mauling and disappointment from fans, for the lack of music in the soundtrack, now news comes that the main song is a rip-off…

Adnan Sami knows about this but is keeping shtum, because of his close friendship with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi composers Salim and Suleiman. A source close to him says, “He is aware about the Haule Haule song and the similarity with his composition. But he prefers to keep mum about it since he’s good friends with the duo.”

If you have heard the song Haule Haule, then you might have noticed some similarities between it and a song by Adnan Sami - Kabhi Nahi Kabhi Nahi from the Tera Chehra album. Says a source, “Adnan’s song is a faster, up-tempo version of Haule Haule. The arrangements and basic melodies of both tracks is very similar.

It is believed that that RNBDJ music directors Salim-Suleiman were aware about the similarities in the melodies when they composed the track. Strangely Salim-Suleiman had also worked on the arrangement of the Kabhi Nahi Kabhi Nahi track with Adnan, ages ago.”

Michael Jackson accepts islam, changes name to Mikeel

Source: IBN Live
The 50-year-old star pledged his allegiance to the Koran in a ceremony at a friend's mansion in Los Angeles, the Sun reported. The star decided to adopt the new religion while he was recording a song at the home of his friend where a Jehovah's witness was brought up to help him through the ceremony.

Jackson sat on the floor wearing a tiny hat after an Imam was summoned to officiate -- days before the singer is due to appear at London's High Court where he is being sued by an Arab Sheikh, the paper said.

Apparently the star of hits like The Way You Make Me Feel-was convinced by his producer and songwriter friends David Wharnsby and Phillip Bubal.

Mikaeel is the name of one of Allah's angels. "Jacko rejected an alternative name, Mustafa meaning "the chosen one", the source added.

"They began talking to him about their beliefs, and how they thought they had become better people after they converted. Michael soon began warming to the idea.

"An Imam was summoned from the mosque and Michael went through the shahada, which is the Muslim declaration of belief," the source revealed.

The singer, who rarely ventures out without a mask, is due to give evidence on Monday in a 4.7 million pound lawsuit brought by Prince Abdulla Al-Khalif of Bahrain for defaulting on an exclusive recording contract.

Hrithik Donates 2 Million for Specal childs

The kid who once found it difficult to speak because of stammering is today the most good looking Indian film hero.

Recently he met the same doctor Ramesh Ojha who helped him overcome his difficulty to speak at the Nanavati Hospital. The Bollywood star had gone there to inaugurate the audio and speech therapy wing. He also donated Rs.2 million for the treatment of the special children. After the inauguration function, Hrithik talked to the media persons.

Today Hrithik Roshan has come a long way from the time when he was a 14 year old kid being treated for speech disability and one who fought against his handicap and defeated it fully.

He said that although a child with a disability may be called as a special one, it is done only to make the kid less troubled about his shortcoming and only the child who goes through the physical or psychological disability knows the trauma that he has to go through.

The star also said that he feels extremely good about himself after thinking of all the kids who will be benefited by the facilities that will be procured by this donation and that it's very nice to look after one's own family and be helpful towards friends, but money should also be user for the larger good.

The hunk also had some words of solace for the kids who are going through the similar situations he went thorough in his teenage.

Ash surprise visit at dilli 6 set makes Abhishek upset

Source: SantaBanta
According to sources Aishwarya visited the sets of Dilli 6 where Abhishekh was shooting a stunt scene. It was visible that it wasnt a pleasant surprise for Abhi. It seems that inspite of being marrried for over a year and a half there is still some tension between the couple.

Everyone assumed that after shooting constantly for so many stunt scenes for Drona Abhishek must have got comfortable with them but the moment Ash entered the sets Abhishekh was seen to be disturbed.

The scene that was being shot was a stunt scene though not a major stunt scene but still it was a crucial one.

The movie has been making since December last year and is thought to be based on the life of the director Rakesh Omprakash Mehra and how he spend his years growing up in the old Delhi neighbourhood of Chandini Chowk. The name of the film is actually the pin code of the place and its due for release on February 13, 2009.

In Dilli 6, Abhishek is opposite Sonam Kapoor and Om Puri, Atul Kulkarni, Divya Dutta, Rishi Kapoor and Tanvi Azmi are the other co stars.

Cold War Start between Aishwarya rai bachchan and Rani Mukharji

The actress can’t seem to get over a loss to one-time pal Rani Mukherjee. Ever since Ash was replaced by Rani in Chalte Chalte, their relations seemed to have soured for good. Rani, who is a good friend of the Bachchans, wasn’t even invited to Abhi Ash’s nuptials.

There’s probably nothing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan hasn’t achieved yet. A blazing career on the ramp, a Miss World title, rocking innings in Bollywood and marriage to Abhishek Bachchan.

Now, Aishwarya has reportedly forbidden hubby Abhishek from working with her. Does this mean AB’s baby will have to reject all Yash Raj projects from this point on?

Sushmita Sen hosted a big bash on her 33rd birthday. Most of the industry’s hot-steppers arrived to wish Sush the best. But her supposed live-in partner Mudassar Aziz was missing. Sushmita is apparently trying to convey to the media that she’s very much single. Wonder why a former Miss Universe with a reasonably successful Bollywood career is still unattached? Find out.

Karan Johar held a special screening of Dostana for Mumbai’s gay community recently. The audience expectedly came out smiling and seemed to have enjoyed the flick. What they enjoyed most though was John Abraham. “I can look at him over and over again,” one of them said.

Salman Khan is rapidly losing out on friends in the industry. The star was recently on a reality show with judge Himesh Reshammiya. When Himesh asked Sallu to do a cameo in his film Kajrare, the actor readily agreed. But he later backed out leaving a very-much-in-need-of-a-hit Himesh high and dry.
