Vivek Oberoi turn stunt man in upcoming movie Parkour

If you Think Vivek Oberoi has been a bit out of news, here’s what the actor’s been up to. Vivek’s just completed a two-month long schedule for Kumar Taurani’s untitled film in South Africa.
"He’s done parkour stunts in this one," informs his publicist Dale Bhagwagar. "We’ve seen these kind of stunts in international films like ‘Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon’ and the James Bond thriller ‘Casino Royale’. But they are new to Bollywood. Vivek has been receiving special training for these from action experts Dean from UK and David from Thiland."

"It’s not easy to perform and requires solid body-discipline and training too. One little slip and the actor can end up breaking his bones," he adds. The film is directed by Kookie V. Gulati and will star three heroines opposite Vivek.

So, what actually, are ‘parkour stunts’? "They’re about jumping freestyle and clinging to the next thing in sight. They’re meant to help one overcome obstacles, which can be anything in the surrounding environment, from branches and rocks to rails and concrete walls. Remember that famous chase sequence in the beginning of ‘Casino Royale’, where Daniel Craig and a black guy jump on under-construction buildings. That’s parkour," Bhagwagar tells us.
This month, the actor is also set to fly to New York to begin shooting for the Karan Johar production directed by Rensil D’Silva. Vivek co-stars with Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in this one.

Agyaat is most scary movie ever in bollywood

Source: Snata Banta
Move over Bhoot and Phoonk. Ram Gopal Varma's Agyaat is here.Ramu's next film entitled Agyaat would be something he has never a done before. A film about an invisible predator creating havoc among a group of people in an isolated spot.
An old Hollywood formula. "But never done properly in Hindi cinema. Something like Poseidon Adventure or The Towering Inferno. These were about natural calamities striking a group of people. Mine would've a far less indentifiable enemy, attacking a film crew on an exotic island, "informs Ramu even as he divulges that his media film Rann has been shifted to January 2009.

The film written by two Varma discoveries Punet Varma and Hari will be shot by a debutant photographers Surjo. It will be shot in Sri Lanka from next month. "The media film Rann I'm starting at the end of January 2009.

Agyaat I'll shoot in the Sigria jungles of Sri Lanka. I recently went location hunting there. It was a stunning stretch of wilderness. I've never seen anything so frightening in my life. All the principal photography will be done in Sigria 35 days. Then the special effects will be done in Mumbai.

Says Ramu, "It's about a film crew that loses its way in the jungles. And something out there starts killing them one by one. Why a film crew? Because it's like a walking office.
There's a narcissistic star, a subservient spotboy, cameraman, a frustrated action director, an assistant director who has a crush on the heroine, a selfobsessed actor, a producer who thinks the director is making a mess and a director who thinks he's the Steven Spielberg of India …

All of them have their own mindscape in the given hierarchy. But the moment they's caught in terror situation their inherent humanism comes to the surface."

Ramu wants to tailor the plot like a reality show. "When you see Bigg Boss you see a group of people in an isolated place coping as best as they can.

We see their rapidly-changing inter-personal relationship. In my film the same happens. I'm shooting them in real time with characters whom we can identify with, like the hero who turns out a sissy. Can't cast an established actor there, can I?"

Ramu is casting largely newcomers. "Because I don't want the audience to watch these characters with pre-conceived notions.

it will have some of the best special effects seen in Indian cinema. "It will be a projection of a destructive force from which the victims cam't hide or run. They simply succumb to it."

Actress Priyanka Chopra may be looking stunning in that gold swimsuit in Dostana , and both the guys wooing her – Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham – may be stunners in their own right.
So what kind of guy is Priyanka more likely to be attracted to – a muscle hunk and conventional good-looker or a someone with the charm and personality?

I hate addressing personal matters in public – my house and my heart are my private spaces, and trespassers are likely to be prosecuted!" she warns.

The actor tells us, "Neither of them, or rather both of them... I'd love it if my guy had John's nature, and Abhishek's sense of humour and charm. A mixture of the two of them would be perfect!"

Piggy Chops is not known to be open about her relationship with Harman Baweja. "I'm a private person, and prefer keeping ten per cent of my life out of public consumption.
So it becomes a rather delicate issue to ask her more about her dil ka rishta with the Baweja Boy, lest we be prosecuted, you know.

Arjun Rampal visits Shahrukh Khan's Gym at Mannat

That they are great buddies is no news. The budding friendship between Bollywood biggies Arjun Rampal and Shah Rukh Khan has been the talk of the town. Post Don and Om Shanti Om the duo have been labeled as the hit jodi .

While other actors have been harping about their rivalry and subsequent fall out, the Khan and the Rampal families have been bonding big time. According to the latest buzz Arjun has been working out under the training of SRK’s trainer in the plush gym at Khan’s house, Mannat .

This reel and real life bro-mance has become the example for many other actors in the industry.

Rampal has been over heard giving diet tips to Khan on the sets. “Grilled chicken and fish along with veggies is my staple diet. I go easy on carbs after 6 pm,” Arjun was heard telling SRK at Yash Raj Studios. Seems like SRK wants to maintain his hard-worked 6-pack abs and Rampal’s expert tips are more than welcome!

“One has seen Arjun and Mehr at Mannat very often. A lot many times, Arjun is clad in his gym wear,” say SRK’s neighbors. Undoubtedly, Arjun is a veteran in the physical training department. His toned and muscular body can inspire many. Probably that’s what has happened.

Farah kahn turn actress in Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai

Farah Khan only did a blink-and-miss appearance for her hit entertainer Om Shanti Om, but now Bollywood's most successful female director will be seen in a special appearance in Milap Zaveri's Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai with Riteish Deshmukh.

Farah plays herself in the film. Milap Zaveri, who is currently shooting a sequence, with Riteish, Jacqueline Fernandes and Sonal Sehgal in Karjat, says, "It's a cameo. Ruslan plays a young superstar in the film while Riteish is an assistant director so we wanted a certain credibility to the whole scene.
We were to shot for a day but now, it has become a five-day friendly appearance. In fact, Farah jokes that if we use her in our publicity posters we will have to pay her."

Milap says he wasn't nervous about directing Farah as much as his choreographer Bosco was. "He has directed her in a scene where she's choreographing and was very nervous. He kept checking if she was okay."

Milap adds that they have made Farah do mad things in the film. "She keeps abusing or hitting Riteish but all in good fun. There's a sequence where Riteish gives her tea and she spits it out on his face but he's so lost in love with Jacqueline that he doesn't notice."

Farah Khan adds, "It was my idea to spit the tea in Riteish's face. It wasn't nerve-wracking facing the camera, as I know Milap. He's Sajid's friend and it was a set full of young people. Though I had to play myself, I am not such a tyrant in real life," she laughs and adds, "They wanted a particular image where I had to do mad things.

Vidya balan joins Sanjay Dutt's home Productions Subah Ho Gayi Mamu

With his own production house taking off, Sanjay Dutt would like nothing better than to carry on Munnabhai’s legacy in some form or another. He’s now producing Subah Ho Gayi Mamu with Vidya Balan which more or less continues where Lage Raho Munnabhai let off.

Confirming the news, Dharam Oberoi, the production house CEO, said, “Dutt is keen on signing on Vidya. He feels they complement each other perfectly.” But it remains to be seen whether the Munnabhai magic can be recreated without Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Raj Kumar Hirani, both of whom are busy making other films and have yet to consider the third installment of their popular comedy, Munnabhai Chale Amrika .

The title of the film, you remember, is the whacky wake-up call in Munnabhai MBBS . And the film is to be directed by Ajay Chandok.
Said a source, “Dutt knows that Munnabhai is the brand name he’s identified with. Which could fade away if not taken further.” For Vidya, the film will prove to be a kind of ‘kismat connection’.

Delhi elections Campaigning start in bollywood stlye

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress have prepared special CDs with campaign songs recorded on the lines of famous Bollywood numbers.

The Congress has roped in local singers Lakshman Bharati and Akshay Kumar to also record a couple of songs, which are not from films, to publicise achievements of the Congress government in last 10 years.

"Jee Karda Jee Karda ..." and "Mehendi Laga Ke Rakhna..." - if these are your favourite songs from Bollywood flicks "Singh is Kinng" and "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge", wait to hear their parody adopted by political parties in the Delhi assembly elections.

Keeping in mind that the capital has over four million young voters in the age group of 18 to 29 years, the political parties have recorded some songs for them.

"We think movie songs are the best way to communicate with people as they remember famous songs. By this, we will be able to put across the party's message in a very simple and interesting way," Ajay Vinayak, a member of the Delhi Congress Publicity Cell, told IANS.

The lyrics of song "Jee Karda Jee Karda ..." from movie 'Singh is Kinng' have been changed to "Jee Karda bhai Jee Karda, Congress nu Jitan da Jee Karda, Desh Bachon da Jee Karda."

Some other songs focussing on youths are "Hath se Hath Mila ke Chalo, Congress ke Hath ke Sath Chalo" and "Dilli walon suno Kahani Dilli ke vikas ki, Congress ke Prayas ki aur Janta ke Vishwas ki".

The BJP has tinkered with the lyrics of songs from other Bollywood hits like 'Chake De' and 'Jab we Met' to attract the voters. The party has made a parody of the songs using sarcastic remarks and humour weaved into a lyrical rhyme to criticise the ruling Congress.

A famous dance number "Nagara Nagara, Nagara Baja" from movie 'Jab we Met' has been changed to "Kabara Kabara Kabara, Congress ne Dilli ka Kabara kiya".The cassette, which will be distributed to all the contestants for use during the campaign, has tracks based on songs from Bollywood hits like "Partner", "Bhool Bhulaiyya" and "Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge".

"The party has prepared songs with a message revealing failures of the Sheila Dikshit-led Congress government in the capital and the work BJP chief ministerial candidate V.K Malhotra will do if voted to power," said Mewa Ram Arya, Delhi BJP spokesperson.
