Source: Times Now
At ease with her role in her upcoming film Dil Kabaddi, royal beauty Soha Ali Khan seems to be totally in a comic mode. While Soha is happy doing the comic role, she has a new wish list ready, already.
"I have never done a romantic films before, it’s all about romance now," the 30-year-old beauty told TIMES NOW.

The nawab's daughter, who consults her mumma - actor and TV judge Sharmila Tagore before signing a film now wants to do an out and out romantic film.

Explaining her character in the film, Soha said, "The film is about marriage and relationships. I am married to Irfan in the film. My name is Nita and I am a cosmetic surgeon by profession. But, when it comes to managing his husband, who is far more impulsive, there is disconnect there; and she doesn’t mange that too well."

Soha has been quite a gift to the industry. She has shown her acting prowess in intense dramas, period films; and now she is trying her hand in comedies like Dil Kabaddi.
With a couple of comic flicks at hand, the royal princess wishes to tread the path of romance. We just wonder if Kunal Khemu's the reason for the urge to do romantic Movie.

competition with new comers help me act better : SRK

Shahrukh Khan, who has a penchant for acting with debutante, says that he has evolved as an actor after working with newcomers.

“They (newcomers) are not over-awed by the fact that you have done 60 films. They respect you a lot but do their own stuff,” he said.

“I see them responding to expressions in a new way and I get to learn. They help me be a better actor,” he added.

“It is always a new feeling working with newcomers. They teach you a lot,” Khan, who is paired against newcomer Anushka Sharma in his forthcoming film ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, said during an interaction with media persons.

Khan’s tryst with newcomers began in 1993 when he was paired against Suchitra Krishnamurthy in the commercially and critically successful ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa’.

On ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, Khan said, the film deals with the trials and tribulations of husband-wife relationships.

“I haven’t had a release for a long time because of my schedules but I believe that this movie will fulfil the ‘kasar’ of the past 14 months. ‘Rab Ne Bana…’ is the last release of the year but not at all the least,” he added.

“The film is an entertainer that is intriguing as well as thrilling and deals with the relationship that exists between a middle-class husband and wife,” he said. Incidentally, the movie is King Khan’s first release in 14 months.

While his ‘Haule-Haule’ jig in the film is getting popular, Shahrukh remains modest about his dancing abilities. “I am not being modest but truly this ‘Pappu can’t dance saala. I genuinely have two left feet,” he said.

Hrithik Roshan to play dance guru in home production Kites

Source: ApunKaChoice
The Bollywood star had been living with perpetual pain in his knee for two years and had tried various types of therapies, but none really helped. His predicament was compounded by the fact that he had to be fully fit to play the lead role in dad Rakesh Roshan’s home production Kites . Hrithik plays a dance instructor in the film.

Hrithik says there even came a point when he doubted if he could do justice to his role in ‘Kites’ and asked his dad Rakesh Roshan to sign another actor. But the Roshan senior and director Anurag Basu decided to wait and let Hrithik’s knee heal more.

Before beginning to shoot the movie in the US, Hrithik tried all last-minute remedies to heal his knee fully. Among them was a new but not-yet-legalized therapy in which needles had to be stuck in his knee joint and platelets to be inserted into his knees. Though the therapy provided him relief, but the pain still remained.

Miraculously, on the morning of the first day of the shoot Hrithik woke up to find the pain in his knee gone.

Finally, when the schedule for US was chalked out, Hrithik was anxious. The very first scene to be shot was an action scene.

The actor says all the remedies and therapies he went through came together one day and his knee was healed.

Now, Hrithik says he can dance better than before. Why? Because he doesn’t take his knee for granted. In fact, the nimble-footed star is in the process of shooting a dance number for ‘Kites’. The song has been choreographed by Flexy, who, as the name suggests, is known for his tough dance steps. But Hrithik’s not worried. He CAN dance, saala.

similarities between"Golmaal Returns" and "Aaj Ki Taza Khabar" is coincidence : Rohit Shetty

Source: Nowrunning
If there are any similarities between Rohit Shetty's "Golmaal Returns" and the 1973 hit comedy "Aaj Ki Taza Khabar", then Shetty isn't aware of them. Nor has he received any notice, legal or otherwise, from the widow of the earlier film's producer who has made copyright-infringement claims.

Rohit was clueless about the likeness between the two films. "If I knew anything about the similarity I'd have happily paid up. The copyright compensation would've amounted to a few hundred thousand which for a film with multi-million rupee budget is nothing.

"I haven't seen 'Aaj Ki Taza Khabar' yet. I've just come back from a holiday with my wife and son. I plan to see the film as soon as possible. I want to see what the similarities are."

"And don't you think we'd have rather avoided trouble than get into a confrontational situation with anyone over the story? We earlier bought the rights of a Gujarati stage play to make the first part of 'Golmaal'. And I went through all the legitimate channels to remake 'Sunday' from a Telugu film."

Now Rohit is getting ready for the third part of "Golmaal". He'd more or less like to make it with the same cast again. "I don't think I'll be allowed to make anything else right now. But first I need to see 'Aaj Ki Taza Khabar'."

As for "Golmaal Returns", Rohit says it's not just his film that has echoes from the past. "Even 'Aaj Ki Taza Khabar' I'm told is inspired by a couple of plays including a French play. It's my friend Paritosh Painter who pointed this out to me."

Released in 1973, "Aaj Ki Taza Khabar" starred Kiran Kumar and Radha Saluja.

Soon Ajay Devgane will be back with Kajol again

Golmaal Returns is Ajay Devgan's biggest grosser till date yet the calm, composed and cool super actor is his usual self. Though he is very happy with the overwhelming response to the film, he is very much focused on his next directorial venture after U Me Aur Hum.

Ajay confirms that his wife, Kajol will once again star in the film and that there wont be too many characters in the film (ala RNBDJ; SRK too says that there are not many characters in the film.

Devgan clarifies that the film should have gone on the floors but it is taking longer than expected. Reason? Well, Ajay wants his film to be technically perfect and on par with international standards, and these things take time.
Devgan is hopeful that he wont make the same mistake that he made with (his debut directorial film) U Me Aur Hum, that of trying to play it safe in the first half and says that he wont hold back on his instincts.

why Upen Patel invites only female for dinner at home

The very single Upen Patel seems desperate to mingle. And doesn''t leave scope for any competition from man kind.

For the daavat-e-khaas at his abode over the weekend, he invited only his female model pals.. including Pia Trivedi and Mughda Ghodse.

Why else would he choose to omit his male friends from the dinner he hosted at his home? And after all the khaana peena, they headed to the launch of Jean Claude in Bandra.

But once there, when his yaar-dosts asked why they had been bypassed for his party Patel is said to have told them that it hadn''t been planned.

When the gals landed up, he had to order food for them. Haayo rabba! What a liar Patel is, no?

Mahek Chahal walk out claiming eve-teasing and sexual harassment

Source: BollywoodSpice
Norwegian born-and bred, Mahek Chahal has walked out of the movie Kal Kisne Dekha, accusing the director and the crew of eve-teasing, or sexual harassment, and claiming that some of the costumes she was expected to wear were simply exploitative. Vivek Sharma, the director, dismissed her allegations.

when she was finding it difficult to get roles. She had accompanied him on a singing engagement in Nairobi and the two hit it off together according to a source: “Salman and Mahek were with each other throughout the day and used to lunch and dine together. They were always in each other’s company and even went out together for sightseeing. "

Actress and model, Mahek first caught our attention in the movie Nayi Padosan in which she played the dreamgirl of the four heroes in the movie. She has also appeared in Chameli, Anjaan and Dil Apne Punjabi and was, for a while, championed by Salman Khan.

Originally called Preetie Chahal in Norway, she changed her name to Mahek upon entering Bollywood in order to avoid confusion with other actresses with a similar name. She insists that she and Salman are just friends and he only helps her on a professional level because that's the kind of warm-hearted guy he is.

Doesn't she like him a little bit more than that? “Well he is such a nice guy, who wouldn’t have a soft corner for him?" she asks, "Even you would like him when you get to know him as a friend. He goes really out of his way to help his friends, he is so down-to-earth.”

Sameera reddy is ready to rock kollywood in "Vaaranam Aayira"

Sameera Reddy has made a big impact with her first Kollywood movie Vaaranam Aayiram opposite Surya. It’s a breathtaking movie that everyone should see and Sameera has received extensive critical acclaim. The film also stars Simran and Ramya.

Part of the movie was made in San Francisco. What are her memories of that? “It was very cold but we had a great time shooting there. It was during that time, that Surya had a baby and he was shopping like mad for his little daughter.”

How did Sameera find working in Tamil? “When I first came to Chennai for the shoot, I heard the language and thought it was pretty difficult. I used to write down my lines and learn them before every shot and it was like going back to school.”

Sameera has a number of Bollywood movies in her past including Musafir, Darna Mana Hai, Taxi No.9211, No Entry, Race and One Two Three. She is currently filming Naam. However, her heart is in the South and she is looking forward to being in Yeh Khosla, Surangani and Dan Dana Dan in the near future. Surangani is said to be loosely based on the Monica Bedi affair with Sameera taking on the role of Ragini, or ‘Monica’.

The film industries in the South are slowly getting better at tapping into the NRI market and VA will be released this weekend simultaneously in twenty American cities. In addition, in another sign that film iconography is developing in a multimedia context, Sameera has signed an agreement with Nazara Technologies to allow them to develop mobile content based on her image – the agreement will see Nazara develop wallpapers, ringtones, games, competitions, video clips and fiction all using Sameera’s voice and image – she has in effect just become a brand.

Altough soha have done two Bengali films, Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan still gets her mother veteran actress Sharmila Tagore to speak the dialogues for her to get the Bengali accent right.

“I get my mother to say all of my dialogues and I record them and listen to them later to better my accent,” she added.

“I can't speak Bengali at all but I can understand it. It's difficult because I have had to memorise my lines with much more effort. It's a lot more work than required in Hindi and English films,” Soha told IANS.

“I'm doing 'Goinar Baksho' (The Jewellery Box) with Aparna ji. It's a film that we have been planning to make since a long time and finally the dates and stuff have been decided. Am really excited, it's a lovely script,” Soha said.

Celina jaitely is ready to srtrip in forthcoming movie Showman

Known less for her acting skills, and more for skin show, Celina Jaitley is going back to her basics. The uber-hot babe, who could never prove her mettle with her lack-lustre acting . playing a stripper in her forthcoming flick ‘Showman’.

Well, this is not the first time Celina has taken up such an eye popping role. The long legged lass in her very first flick ‘Janasheen’ performed a raunchy dance pole dance number silently announcing that nothing but the glam doll roles are meant for her.

hoping to make a comeback of sorts as she gets set to do away with every single piece of clothing;
Looks like the lady is really desperate for some eyeballs, and her striptease act will surely get her those.

Nevertheless, playing a stripper is just a little over-the-top even for bold Celina. Talking about her role, the gutsy babe said, “I am playing this girl born to an English man and Indian woman. She unfortunately comes from a very poor family background in London. She has grown up to be a stripper in a night club and a con artist. Basically her main aim is to own a night club.”

Priyanka worked hard on body to look hot and sexy in bikini

After flaunting her curves and earning rave reviews for her performance in "Fashion", Priyanka Chopra is all set to show off her svelte figure in swimsuits and beachwear in forthcoming film "Dostana".

"For 'Fashion', I had to put on six kilos and later had to shed chip by chip as the character progressed in the film. My body structure in 'Dostana' is more toned than in 'Fashion' as it is a completely beach film. I've worked very hard on my body," Priyanka told reporters in an interview.

Priyanka is currently shooting for Vishal Bharadwaj's "Kaminay" and Ashutosh Gowariker's "What's Your Raashee", which she calls a "very complicated and difficult romantic comedy".
After a hectic schedule with six films in a row this year, Priyanka said shooting for "Dostana" with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham was like a vacation and a rejuvenating experience for her.

Asked if she had any apprehensions working with a debutant director, specially after a string of flops this year, Priyanka said: "Tarun is a fabulous friend of mine and an incredible director. When I first met him, I was a little scared.

She also has sequels to Farhan Akhtar's "Don - The Chase Begins Again" and Goldie Behl's "Drona", apart from an item number opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Priyadarshan's "Billo Barber".
"I am a kind of person who asks a lot of questions. I test directors. I like asking and Tarun knew the answer to every question I asked. He blew my mind with his confidence and the commitment he had towards the film. By the end of the film, he's become a really close friend of mine and I admire him as a filmmaker."

"It's such a great way to get closer to your fans. But I don't know how they find time to blog because I hardly sleep for more than four hours. I really want to do it at some point because Karan (Johar) was also telling me it's great... may be in a while when my schedule eases a little bit.

"I definitely want to try singing. I might start with, maybe, a song in one of my films but I'm not sure when. But I definitely want to do it." The actress said she admired the blogging rage among celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Ram Gopal Varma, but added that she couldn't take to it due to lack of time.

katrina Gifts car to Kabir Lal for his mind blowing job in Yuvvraj

When Katrina began shooting for the Subhash Ghai directed movie, she wasn’t happy about Ghai’s choice of cinematographer Kabir Lal. She had worked with Kabir in Apne and had not liked his work.

In fact, Katrina had told Kabir in front of the entire crew that if he did a good job in the film, she would gift him a car.

So, on the sets, while the film was being shot, Katrina would often head to see the monitor after every shot. She wanted to look her best in the film and was not confident of Kabir’s abilities in doing so.

With Kabir having lived upto her expectations, the film’s crew now expects Katrina to fulfill her promise and gift a car to Kabir.

Now that the film’s promos are on the air and are getting good response, Katrina is at ease. She has herself checked out the promos and liked her look in the film. Even beau Salman Khan has been bowled over by the shots that have Katrina playing the Cello.

Ghai says Katrina doesn’t go back on her words and will surely do so. Even Kabir is expecting the gift before the film’s release.

Rumors are spredaing in air about Amir Khan and Asin

Aamir Khan who have never worked together before and Aamir realised that they needed to share a comfort factor before shooting for the romantic song with Asin for Ghajini.
Khan decided to get to know the South actress, to ensure there was no awkwardness between them.

Nobody knew what they spoke about but one could see Asin gradually relaxing and becoming comfortable with Aamir. And that's the reason the blazing chemistry on screen."
They needed to establish a rapport. Four days before shooting, were kept aside for Aamir to get to know his leading lady and put her at ease, so that the romantic song would look natural. Aamir and Asin would go for long walks in the desert.

Says a source close to Khan, "Aamir is an experienced actor and can switch on and off at will but he realised that Asin might not be ready to break into a romantic number at will.

Though Aamir and Asin had shot some scenes before, the song was the first romantic interaction.

Russell Peters and Shahrukh khan to come together in award function

The awards season begins next month. The most popular jodi of B-Town, Shah Rukh and Saif Ali Khan may not come together this year.
Their act had the lacking-in-sense-of-humour B-Town folks squirming in their seats. After the incensed reaction from the fraternity, the two actors decided not to pursue their act this year.
A source says, "Shah Rukh and Saif have managed to annoy a number of B-Town biggies with their act but it's child's play compared to what Russell Peter does to crowds on his shows. The industry people really need to develop a sense of humour. They have to learn to laugh at themselves and not take themselves so seriously."

This year around, the Morani brothers who organise the popular award show are in the fix. They want to maintain the standard of the show and are trying to convince SRK to do the show. They are also trying to rope in stand up comic Russell Peters. It is not clear if he will co-host with Shah Rukh, or be the solo emcee.
At Russell's recent Mumbai show, there were many film personalities. He made it a point to pick on B-Town people in the crowd. Those who bore the major brunt were Sikandar Kher, Neha Dhupia and Aishwarya Rai (who was absent). While Neha took all his jokes in the right spirit, Kher really took offense and at one point even contemplated walking out of the show.

If the Moranis manage to bring down Peters for the awards, it will be a huge accomplishment. Russell, an Indian by birth, is rated as one of the world's best comics. He recently had a show in India, which was packed and attended by many celebs. The audience adores him and his punch lines. This year his show went house full as soon as it was announced. One of his unique selling points has been his take off on Hindi movies."

SRK Follows Raj Kappor Trend in coming movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Source: GlamSham
SRK does go by the name Raj Kapoor in the film and is once again essaying the iconic Raj, which he made so endearing and famous after the trendsetting DILWALE DULHANIA LE JAYENGE. A role which many other actors tried to enact unsuccessfully.

If you are thinking that we are spinning a scoop around the fact that the younger and modern Shah Rukh Khan in RAB NE BANA DI JODI is playing a character which goes by the name of Raj Kapoor, then you are mistaken!.

we are referring to the real Raj Kapoor, the original showman of Bollywood, whose presence can be felt many a times in the Aditya Chopra directed Shah Rukh Khan starrer.

we have the couple logo of the R.K.Films (more like a dancing couple here) which makes an appearance in the promos and the posters of RAB NE BANA DI JODI And last but not the least, the original showman and his family's presence is highly pronounced in the brilliant dance track, 'Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte', where King Khan pays homage to the greats of Bollywood. And topping the list is of course Raj Kapoor followed by his brother, the great dancing star, Shammi Kapoor and the number ends with his youngest son, the super actor, Rishi Kapoor.

Firstly the simpleton character of Shah Rukh Khan (whose screen name is Surinder Sahni in RNBDJ seems to be inspired by the simple, lovable ragamuffin/vagabond played by the legend, Raj Kapoor in his AWARA/ANARI days. Notice the simplicity and SRK's soft, soothing dialogue delivery style (Surinder Sahni this side ji!) which tug at the heart, much similar to Raj Kapoor's characters in his hey days.

So, with the Raj Kapoor factor embedded in its plot we are sure that Bollywood's global superstar, Shah Rukh Khan will win the hearts of zillions through his effective portrayal of the winning underdog in RAB NE BANA DI JODI, when the film releases on December 12.

After Saif Akki Playing Carton Character with voice

After Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, another A-list star is all set to lend his voice to an animation film.

The star in question is none other than Akshay Kumar. The actor has been roped in to do the voice-over for Percept Picture Company's forthcoming animated film Jumbo.

If you recall, Saif and Kareena had done the voice over for the animation film Roadside Romeo.

He will be joined by another actor, Dimple Kapadia.
