Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan on Friday resumed work, shooting for an advertisement clip for Dabur , a leading Ayurvedic health care company.

It's wonderful to be getting back in front of the camera, but quite honestly I was rather enjoying the rest days. Nothing to do, no schedules and timings to rush to, no compulsions, just lying back and taking my own time over it.

Ah ! well can't have everything in life my way,'' the actor remarked on his blog.

The actor, who was hospitalised after he suffered acute stomach pain on his 66th birthday on October 11, had been advised rest by doctors for at least a month.

Says a source close to Khan, "Aamir is an experienced actor and can switch on and off at will but he realised that Asin might not be ready to break into a romantic number at will. They needed to establish a rapport.

Ever the perfectionist that Aamir Khan is, he refused to shoot a romantic number with Bollywood newcomer Asin for new flick Ghajini, that he wanted to spend some time with her before.

Four days before shooting, were kept aside for Aamir to get to know his leading lady and put her at ease, so that the romantic song would look natural. Aamir and Asin would go for long walks in the desert. Nobody knew what they spoke about but one could see Asin gradually relaxing and becoming comfortable with Aamir. And that’s the reason the blazing chemistry on screen."
The song in question, Guzarish, has been shot in Namibia and choreographed by Ahmedh Khan. The source adds, "A charter aircraft comprising 23 people was taken to Namibia and the song was shot in ‘dead man’s land’. Sosusfei Lodge, where Aamir and the crew stayed is part of the dessert.

The location was a two-and-a-half hour ride from the hotel. Aamir was very particular about his workouts as he had to shoot his bare-bodied sequences there especially for the song so a makeshift gym was created at the base camp of the shooting locations."

Ghajini director, AR Murugadoss, says, "We all landed in Namibia to shoot this song and this was the first romantic song between the two. Aamir is an experienced actor and he had genuinely liked Asin’s performance in the Tamil version of the film. He praised her performance giving Asin a lot of confidence."

Subhash Ghai planning to remake Hero with Salman and katrina

The rumour spreading around Bollywood right now is that veteran director Subhash Ghai is planning to remake one of his biggest films – Hero, and that this time he wants Salman Khan for the lead role.

Talking to an Indian newspaper, Salman Khan himself brought up the news of a remake of Hero, saying, “I had heard two three scripts before Yuvvraaj. The scripts were good but I couldn’t play those characters. I wanted him to make Hero with me but Subhash ji said we would make it later. Then he came up with Yuvvraaj.”

This comment from Salman has given fuel to the rumour that Subhash is indeed going to cast Salman in the remake of Hero. A source from the Ghai camp, further adds, “Yes, Subhash ji is planning to remake Hero and has already thought about the actors.

The source reveals more, “The new Hero will be slightly different from the original and will be made for the audience now it will be an up-to-date version. Subhash ji is planning to shoot the film at an overseas location and hopes to complete it within 90 days, so that he can release it for end of 2009.

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are his first choice of lead role. Salman would be playing the role made famous by Jackie Shroff and Katrina the role of Meenakshi Sheshadri. Subhash ji is waiting on the release of Yuvvraaj and will then start work on the remake.”

Abhishek Bachchan refuse yash raj's new movie

Abhishek Bachchan has declined to do a Yash Raj project. This project in question was the Rani Mukherjee - Shahid Kapoor starrer which has cricket as the underlying theme. Our source revealed, "Abhishek was offered a small but significant role in the Yash Raj banner project the shooting for which has already begun now. He had earlier done a cameo in their Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007) so it was taken for granted that he would say yes.
Incidentally Abhishek has done quiet a number of special appearances earlier with most of them being for his good friends in the industry. His cameo roles list includes films like Mission Istaanbul, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, Shootout At Lokhandwala, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, Ek Ajanabi and Salaam Namaste.

But Abhishek left everyone surprised by turning down the role citing date clashes. But the real reason was he didn't want to repeat the Laaga Chunari Mein Daag mistake of doing a small role where he has nothing much to do. His career has taken a severe beating with the Drona debacle and he cannot afford any more mistakes now.

Like LCMD, this film doesn't even pair him up with Rani so he took the safe route out of dates excuse rather than offending the Chopras. The makers are now in a desperate lookout for a top star who would be willing to star in their film as the next schedule begins in January."

Priyanka Chopra celebrate harman's Birthday bay bash at her house

Actress Priyanka Chopra brought in good friend Harman Baweja's birthday on Wednesday night with a bash thrown at her house. It was a surprise party for him, where she managed to invite his friends and relatives as well.

Harman was shooting for his next film, Victory, when Priyanka is believed to have asked him to come over after packup, so that they could go out and celebrate his birthday. But when the actor reached her house, he was pleasantly surprised to see all his friends and relatives gathered there. According to sources, the actor's sister and relatives were also present at the bash.

Priyanka had even invited Harman's Victory co star, Amrita Rao, to the party. So while the rest of the Dostana clan was busy watching special screenings of their film, Priyanka was celebrating with her near and dear ones. Other actors present at the bash were Minissha Lamba and Ashish Chaudhary. Priyanka's gesture speaks volumes about her love for dear friend Harman. Angelina is ready to quit acting for her family and children

Angelina Jolie is planning to quit her acting career to focus on her role as mother. The Oscar-winning actress has revealed that she wants to cut down the number of films to spend more time with her six children.

Her latest film Changeling, directed by Clint Eastwood, is releasing in UK at the end of this month but the actress says she is ready to wind down.

"I don't think about it much because I don't plan to keep acting very long. I'm ready to do a few things now and fade away and get ready to be a grandma one day," Jolie told BBC when asked whether she thought that getting old could harm her career.

"I'll work for a few months in February. I won't work again probably for another year. I like being home a lot these days," she said.

"So I'm not so worried that I want to keep this pace up and try to be something and be a celebrity and be a successful actress forever.

The actress, however, has admitted that while she may onsider working on future films, it could only be as few as one every three years. "I don't think I'll ever say I'm never ever going to work because maybe there's that interesting project where I feel creative.

Jolie, who is living with actor Brad Pitt , gave birth to twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon in July. The couple also have a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Shiloh, and adopted children Maddox, Zahara and Pax.

"I think it's nice, I've had a time to tell stories and be able to be successful enough to tell the ones I want to tell, and to earn some money at the same time is great.

"But everything comes in seasons and, you know, I hopefully won't be needing to do that later in my life in any way," she said. Jolie has worked in more than 30 films and she is the second highest paid actress in the world behind Reese Witherspoon .

"First and foremost I have a lot of children and I have a big responsibility to make sure they're growing right and that they've got us there for them," the actress added.

What began as a random promotional quote from a Bollywood publicist, is now on the lips of one of Hollywood's biggest heart-throbs.

After Dale's comment last year, various websites and blogs carried out opinion polls on the subject, and Shilpa, with all the Celebrity Big Brother hype just behind her, topped the charts. The hoopla also created widespread speculation in India and abroad, resulting in rumours that Shilpa could be the likely choice for the next Bond girl.

A year ago, desi publicist Dale Bhagwagar (who handled PR for the gorgeous Shilpa Shetty for the best five years of her career) was asked by a British journalist from Daily Mail, if he felt any Indian actress could play a Bond girl. He'd promptly taken Shilpa Shetty's name. Today, Daniel 'James Bond' Craig is echoing the publicist's words.

Months later and after the release of his second Bond thriller 'Quantum of Solace', in an interview aired on NDTV Movies, Daniel has echoed Dale's words, stating, "I think she (Shilpa) looks great and has a killing figure, just right for a Bond girl". This, coming from Bond himself, could be very flattering for Shilpa as well as her ex-publicist.

But when we got in touch with Dale, he wasn't too amused. "Such developments are normal for a strategising publicist. I'd call it the power of good PR, " is all he replied.

A R Rahman composed the anthem for next IPL and 2010 Commonwealth Games

Musical master A. R. Rahman has always believed in going that extra mile and stretching his limits where music is concerned. By now, he has composed for innumerable films, for musicals. But now the composer has found a new challenge and mastered it as well.

According to reports, Rahman has composed the anthem for the Twenty20 Champions League cricket tournament to be held in December this year. And if that is not enough, the maestro will also be composing the anthem for the 2010 Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi. The cricket tournament's anthem will be without the traditional lyrics; instead, it will have chants. The anthem is believed to have a lot of high energy, passion and excitement, as befits an anthem for a sport.

It seems that the composer, who is an ardent cricket fan himself, was very happy to compose the track. It was a change from his usual line of work. The organizers intend to use this anthem for future editions of the tournament as well.

And if it's cricket and India, then the passion, excitement and energy have to be imagined to be believed. Knowing Rahman, he would have captured the Indian passion and love for cricket perfectly in the anthem.
